I would remind readers, in 2010 George W Bush’s campaign manager, aide and senior staff, Karl Rove, revealed [“Courage and Consequence“] that then CIA Director George Tenet had been trying for several weeks to get a personal meeting with President Bush to outline an intelligence concern about an international terror threat.
According to Rove, White House National Security Advisor, Condoleezza Rice, had been blocking Tenet from meeting with President Bush. Director Tenet sent several requests using alternate channels to reach Bush. Eventually, in the late spring or early summer 2001, Tenet overcame the Rice block and was given time to brief President Bush.
CIA Director George Tenet then told President Bush the CIA had intercepted telephone “chatter” pointing to an al-Qaeda terrorist threat that somehow involved airlines. However, the details and the specifics of the threat were unknown. The only thing Tenet knew with certainty was that some type of plot was underway and airlines were involved.
George W Bush responded to Tenet by saying it appeared the CIA director was just trying to “cover his ass” in case something happened. Bush was angered at the vagueness of the warning and told Tenet to consider his ass covered, but essentially the information was useless without specifics.
The rest, as they say, is history. The matter did not surface again until after the 9/11/01 plot was carried out.
A lot has been learned after the fact. Can’t watch all the the 9/11 news coverage because they do not point out the primary culprit in the case . Islam.

I ran a series of searches earlier in the week, seeking to figure out how many citizens actually voted for a half dozen of the top cabal of heads of state. tldr: the saudi’s considered Iraq as a direct threat that could and did destabilize its primary global energy market making authority. However, let’s think back to the period of 2 Kings in the bible. The people of Jerusalem in those days considered themselves descendants of Abraham. GOP leaders told Bush that his hardcore push to renew the more onerous provisions of the act could further alienate conservatives still mad at the President from his botched attempt to nominate White House Counsel Harriet Miers to the Supreme Court.
“I don’t give a goddamn,” Bush retorted. “I’m the President and the Commander-in-Chief. Do it my way.”
“Mr. President,” one aide in the meeting said. “There is a valid case that the provisions in this law undermine the Constitution.”

I was listening to Rush Limbaugh a week or two before 9/11. I remember at that time he mentioned something very similar about certain chatter. After 9/11 happened, I thought about his remark and wondered that if he “knew of” something, why were others unaware.

The wings hitting the wall basically turned into confetti. The wing roots and wing spars, being far stronger, as well as the engines and pylons were well within the interior of the videos I saw. As to your last sentence, I’m not sure what you mean. The whole of the engine is circular. All components from the combustion section back are designed to operate at extreme temperatures and would easily survive the resulting fire. I distinctly remember seeing at least one of the exhaust turbine rotors in the rubble. The blades were destroyed but the disc was obvious to me.
My conclusion, from the building’s exterior damage and the interior debris field, is that of a mid-sized jet aircraft. (Small being an eight passenger corporate jet. Big being a C-5 Galaxy or Boeing 747.)

I’m not trying to defend anything, but I will say that I was at the site of a crash where a small aircraft went straight into the ground, and the aircraft was totally obliterated.

It starts in the Clinton administration and all of the terrorist attacks that basically went unanswered or ignored. Bin Laden’s organization gained in strength and numbers during that time. A gut wretching reminder of that dreadful day and how we got there as a nation. Imagine if, 25 years ago, you could have seen into the future and told New Yorkers that they would have an Islamic communist as a mayor in 2026, they would have been aghast. Watching Mamdani and AOC yukking it up at during the reading of the names makes clear that the LEFT is rubbing our collective nose in their handiwork.

Even in the 1990’s and 2000, the FBI had access to all the Federal Agencies that controlled Air Travel as well as domestic law enforcement.

Given a vague “threat” involving airlines, a president would have two choices.
