Secretary of State Marco Rubio has quietly been the lead on this initiative. The discussions with Venezuela were working along slowly in the background as the negotiations with Canada on trade were proceeding. Today, Canadian oil is replaced.
BREAKING NEWS: The United States of America has just entered into an Agreement with the Country of Venezuela on, THE BIGGEST OIL DEAL IN WORLD HISTORY! At my direction, Secretary of State Marco Rubio, and Secretary of War Pete Hegseth, working closely with Highly Respected Interim President of Venezuela, Delcy Rodriguez, and, through a partnership with private business, have secured majority U.S. control of more than 65 BILLION BARRELS of proven Oil Reserves in Venezuela, at no cost to the American Taxpayer.
This Historic Transaction MORE THAN DOUBLES American Oil Reserves, greatly increases our Oil Supply, and will substantially lower Gas Prices for all Americans, long into the future, while helping to continue to set Venezuela on a course toward Tremendous Success and Great Prosperity. This Transaction will greatly strengthen the already growing relationship between Venezuela and the United States! Thank you for your attention to this groundbreaking matter. MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!
No need for President Trump to mention Canada, the message is clear. We can now reverse those north-south pipelines and pump heavy Venezuela crude oil north into U.S. refineries for transition into Canadian fuel.
If the USA no longer needs oil from Canada, but Canada relies on fuel from the USA…. Well, how does that energy leverage work out?
Danielle Smith has no idea what’s coming.
Tariffs and counter-tariffs are harmful. They disrupt businesses, threaten jobs, drive up inflation and strain the relationship between Canada and the United States.
Threatening to cut off or tax Alberta’s energy is not the answer. It would devastate Alberta’s economy, hurt… pic.twitter.com/KooW72ZZUc

Does anyone know if any domestic refineries are being built for our own sweet crude?
Give it 5-10 years to design & fabricate….maybe Saudis or some other big $$. Of course Federal Judges would get input in building it and delicate environmental considerations. Best if US Government owned it and contracted someone to design & build it ‘national security’…..like right on SF bay….
Why California? They just shut down two refineries this due to incompetence, no need to jump in and save them.
I remember during Trump 1.0, America had become totally self-sufficient, and imported ZERO oil. Our gasoline price in Illinois was under $2.00 @ gallon at that time.
One…in Texas.

Trump announces new US refinery backed by India’s Reliance

Carney is so behind the curve he just needs to pack it in and retire to a place on Lake America.
On the Canadian side.
Named America Bay 🙂
This really has the feel of a powerless, pompous, mortal version of Loki, who continues to pop off at a maxed out, raging Hulk…
How many times do 🇨🇦 leftists need to be slammed into the concrete before they understand the idiocy & insignificance of their “leaders”?
They are truly wrecking Canada. President Trump appears to hold all cards.
This ought to shut Carney up for awhile! Oh, wait. I forgot. He’s a moron.
I am wondering, were all those Gulf refineries that are “perfect” for Venezuela crude, originally built to process exactly the same Venezuelan crude?
The 3 Citgo refineries likely were built to use Venezuelan oil. Citgo is owned by Venezuela.

In total, several of these recent global events will push near term oil and gas prices down, and others will push them down long term (Venezuela). Trump’s global realignment along hemispheres and energy are deeply in motion.
It’s breathtaking in design.
Bad for Canada, but also bad for Europe. The US doesn’t need middle east oil, so there is no reason for us to put up with that drama. The vast EU military can take care of it
Hmmm. I know it’s about PROVEN reserves, but if 65BB doubles USA reserves, that means the USA has less than 16 years of oil in the ground at todays use rate of about 4BB per year (over 11MB per day) plus growing need over the next 15 years.
I find that hard to believe. We’ve been told reserves won’t last long for decades now, yet the USA and others are pumping out more each day.
North America Holds Vast Oil and Gas Reserves: “At its current rate of consumption, the United States has 227 years of technically recoverable oil, according to the Institute for Energy Research’s latest North America Energy Inventory. For natural gas, the technically recoverable reserves would provide 130 years of supply, IER adds.”

Delcy Rodroguez is as big a criminal as Maduro. WTH!?

Wow. Congratulations to all who pulled this off. Throwing this ace on the table at this precise moment in time is a masterful stroke of genius.
Historic!
It’s a total, humiliating, crushing defeat for the evil Carney clowns.
The optimist in me hopes that Trump has already gamed out a future plan to pull the good Canadian people up from the smoldering ashes that Mark Carney has made of their country.
Just finished driving from Soldotna Alaska to SoCal. $9 in the Yukon, $8 in BC. Not sure how the snowmexi’s survive. At least the Cassiar was in its usual splendor.
I know where Venezuela is, where is Canada?
They really think they will win over the American people by disparaging our President?
