Secretary of State Marco Rubio has quietly been the lead on this initiative. The discussions with Venezuela were working along slowly in the background as the negotiations with Canada on trade were proceeding. Today, Canadian oil is replaced.
BREAKING NEWS: The United States of America has just entered into an Agreement with the Country of Venezuela on, THE BIGGEST OIL DEAL IN WORLD HISTORY! At my direction, Secretary of State Marco Rubio, and Secretary of War Pete Hegseth, working closely with Highly Respected Interim President of Venezuela, Delcy Rodriguez, and, through a partnership with private business, have secured majority U.S. control of more than 65 BILLION BARRELS of proven Oil Reserves in Venezuela, at no cost to the American Taxpayer.
This Historic Transaction MORE THAN DOUBLES American Oil Reserves, greatly increases our Oil Supply, and will substantially lower Gas Prices for all Americans, long into the future, while helping to continue to set Venezuela on a course toward Tremendous Success and Great Prosperity. This Transaction will greatly strengthen the already growing relationship between Venezuela and the United States! Thank you for your attention to this groundbreaking matter. MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!
No need for President Trump to mention Canada, the message is clear. We can now reverse those north-south pipelines and pump heavy Venezuela crude oil north into U.S. refineries for transition into Canadian fuel.
If the USA no longer needs oil from Canada, but Canada relies on fuel from the USA…. Well, how does that energy leverage work out?
Danielle Smith has no idea what’s coming.
Tariffs and counter-tariffs are harmful. They disrupt businesses, threaten jobs, drive up inflation and strain the relationship between Canada and the United States.
Threatening to cut off or tax Alberta’s energy is not the answer. It would devastate Alberta’s economy, hurt… pic.twitter.com/KooW72ZZUc

And Chevron will use this windfall to continue firing people in Houston and moving all operations (except their headquarters of course) to India.
Please, Sundance, somebody needs to shine a spotlight on what our oil and gas companies are doing right now.
We do know they’ve been gouging with record double triple quadruple profits
This is a big way they’re doing it. Chevron even brags about it on their website. It’s a major disaster waiting to happen and nobody is doing anything about it.
Chevron will be spending major amounts of money drilling this oil. Much of it coming back to the U.S. I don’t see that as a disaster for America or the Venezuelan people.
<Chevron will be spending major amounts of money drilling this oil.>
Drilling for oil is boring 🙂
And it’s fracking expensive, too!
How do we know that again? Exactly?
I’ve owned Cbevron for years. Seems okay to me. They stuck it out when everybody else bailed out. Sucks to be them…
Let the guy cook.
Def will SD. He called them all out a few weeks ago, asking for DOJ inquiry on the prices staying artificially high when they should be much lower
In SW AR, I paid $4.9999 a gallon for gasoline today…. 🙁
I paid 3.40
$3.35
6.89 for Diesel
$3.26 in East Texas
Ditto.
You must be in one of the rare hot spot areas – most of AK is under $4.
https://www.gasbuddy.com/gaspricemap?lat=34.12153973296724&lng=-91.21194101724262&z=8
Norte AR, Arkansas, AK, Alaska. Typo I’m sure.
All of AK is above $4/gallon.
I got a letter I mailed back when I was a kid….had been set to AK instead of AR….pre zip code…
No refineries in those states, no?
Washington State is all close to $5.00/gal. for Regular gas.
Down to $4.79 near my house. Well over $5 by Mt. Rainier yesterday.
I drive from communist eastern Washington to north Idaho for gas and most other things. Gas is around $1.40 per gallon cheaper in Idaho.
That sounds like the difference between Commie Illinois and normie Indiana.
I live in IF and gas isn’t cheap here it’s over $4:29 is a gallon and that just regular unleaded not the good stuff.
IF?
Wow! We can only dream!
One of the engineers in my dad’s office during the 1970 oil crisis had a Volvo w a 55 gallon drum in it, would drive to Mexico & fill up…..never was in a car accident/tanker truck incident…
Hope this wasn’t him:
https://www.kiro7.com/news/desire-save-money-gas-may-make-cars-explode/246088078/
This type of behavior was actually one of the lesser-weird things I had to adapt to after moving to this state.
Southern California here: $6.29 at last fill-up a few days ago.
In NC. Paying $3.67. It fluctuates daily.
Austin. 3.19 a gallon
$3.14 in northwest Indiana… 8/28/2026
🙂
I paid 3.28 in McKinney Tx
$6.19 for 87 octane in San Diego today.
Central Indiana $3.29.
In WNY(south) $4.29! I wish for the days of 47! It was $2+ a gallon (2.89?).
Nor CA = 5.09/5.19 diesel @ 6.79/.89
You can only refine so much in the US. Greenies have blocked refineries for years. California closed their so they have to import gas. Stupid is as stupid does…
Weren’t two destroyed in California last year. One near Monterey and another one.
The fuel stations here are gouging customers who use debit/credit cards to purchase fuel. Upwards of 15-20 cents per gallon!
I’d venture to guess that most customers pay that way.
Wait until the go to a cashless economy you will be paying those merchant fees too.
Sent 2 beefers in, sold part of 1 to a family member. Ended up having to charge the butcher fees at an xtra 2.5%, which we always paid cash. It took 3 weeks and many phone calls to get a check from the family buyer! Hardly worth it anymore!
They suck you in with the cash price, then you pull in and find out! Deceptive!
Yup. Ta frickin Da.
you are exactly right we went through this in the 50s and the 60s and then the damn communists came in took over. looks like the shoe is on the other foot now.
Jeff says something similar: Let the man work. (LTMW)
It’s not over. PDJT is in the midst of a global realignment and takedown of the worst elements. Increasing amounts of Venezuelan crude is going to exert downward pressure on pump prices by mid-fall.
Think about how high gasoline prices would be if this were a second term under “All Electric” Biden & the DemoCraps… (if you could even GET gasoline or diesel).
Bicycles.
I live 9 miles from the nearest grocery store. Bicycles, my ass!
You would need an adult tricycle with the large baskets…lol
Or an E-trike. 😎
Don’t recommend ice cream.
Ok. You’d be using an E-bike. 😎
😂
Probably be good for it. ☺☺☺
You’d need a tandem, “bicycle built for two”, and share the peddling! 🙂
motorbike…or a Honda Mini Bike…
Gasoline prices would be the least of it.
Electric trucks would have 1/2 to 1/4 the load capacity and take much longer to “fuel” up compared to a diesel truck, and still be more expensive yet even with higher diesel prices.
I do not need to elaborate too deeply on what what means for most of everything that is bought and sold on any shelf in every store out there.
Diesel goes double for food costs when you also figure the fuel used for tractors, combines, etc.
Yes that’s true.
The globalists/ DemoCheats want the US to ban vehicles with internal combustion engines that use petroleum based fuels.
NOT defending electric vehicle mandates at all, but the fact is that the Tesla Electric semi is now in service with a small but growing number of long-distance trucking companies on fixed routes and, so far, proving itself to be highly cost competitive without any govt subsidies and despite range and load disparities. As production ramps up and recharge ports grow, that number will quickly grow. Its one thing to oppose government mandates in any aspect of American society. Its another to pretend that the latest electric trucks are not cost and load competitive with current diesel semis. Add to that the increasing evidence that autonomous electric vehicles are significantly safer than those driven by humans on a per mile basis, its simply no longer tenable to ignore the facts. Tesla semis are not by any means able to currently replace all diesel trucks nor human drivers. But they are now cost competitive and on a growing number of fixed routes, they are more than competitive. Argue away, but the facts are pretty clear if you look at them.
Very good news
Physics would differ.
Batteries are a poor way to store energy in the form of electricity which is not a primary source of energy. Unlike various hydrocarbons. Batteries also self discharge over time.
Worse is that batteries are dead weight when discharged and even the best battery chemistry has but a fraction of the energy density of hydrocarbon fuels.
Charging batteries faster does not resolve the drawbacks of it being an temperature dependent electrochemical device.
The laws of thermodynamics can be paraphrased as
1. You cannot win the game.
2. You cannot break even playing the game
3. You must play the game.
I am not impressed by sales pitches hyping battery electric vehicle technology. There are significant drawbacks inherent to the designs.
I am not impressed by your physics. Over a 5 year period, the Tesla Semi has more than a 40% cost advantage based on total purchase, fuel, and maintenance costs over fixed routes. That also ignores the fact that these trucks are designed for autonomous driving, and the current Tesla FSD is govt rated as significantly safer than the average human driver. When the FSD is inevitably included, the cost advantage soars.
The markets will decide if those are actually worth it when accounting for everything, barring someone tipping the scales.
New electric car sales cratering without taxpayer funded subsidies is quite suggestive of where that is going to go.
If it means deporting the rest of the illegal alien, non English speaking drivers, good! Yet when it comes to American jobs, I’ll stick with diesel any day of the week!
I can see those vehicles being effective on level or very low up and down grade roadways, but steep inclines will kill the batteries.
What I find funny, is that Tesla isn’t using brake regenerative like we had in our Ford Fusion. Every time we used the brakes it charged the batteries. The battery could be at 40% and by the time we got to the bottom of a hill it would be at 95-100%.
Hybrids are your best choice if you’re looking at an electric powered vehicle. We loved ours and had it not had a leaking moon roof seal that allowed water to get into the back of the dashboard and corroded the wiring, we would probably still have it.
The Tesla Semi uses regenerative braking to full advantage. Fleets have reported successful operation over mountain routes including Donner Pass. Tesla designed the Semi to haul up to the legal 82,000 lb gross combination weight. What they lose in battery charge going uphill they recover on the downside.
I am more worried that our electric grid will not be able to produce enough for all the data centers and electric vehicles, that us peons will not have affordable electricity to heat our homes, and keep our appliances running.
Viable concerns but Tesla/SpaceX are moving rapidly to address both.
SpaceX will have solar powered data centers running in space within 3 years and the economics will drive most data centers there.
Tesla built home battery storage systems are rapidly becoming economical for most homes. Even for grid dependent homes that will smooth the peak demand curve out such that total grid demand is no longer dependent on the large number of peak generation plants.
Yes, that’s all in the future, hopefully the near future. But so is the hype about data centers causing grid overload. We already have that and data centers had nothing to do with it.
I’m with you! They put windmills up near me with solar panel farms everywhere. Our electric company claims they’re working hard reinforcing our grid. All I see is extensions on poles with more lines, going to the windmill farms. Our power goes out more frequently annd longer than ever before! I haven’t seen the tree trimmers in years!
What kind of battery is in that truck and how much does it weigh? Those electric vehicles weigh a lot and will tear up the roads they we will Nobel paying more because of up keep except in California where they will just paint the road so you think it got fixed.
Tesla Semi 23000 lbs fully charged
Volvo VNL 20500 lbs unfueled …add 1500-2000 full tanks.
Tesla designed these trucks with all these issues in mind and held production until there were reasonable answers available.
The WEIGHT of electric trucks would also ruin roads and bridges much faster.
The Tesla Semi LR is ~23000 lbs with fully charged batteries
The Volvo VNL is ~20500 lbs without fuel
…full tanks on the Volvo would add another 1500-2000 lbs
There is no significant difference.
The amount of increased production from VZ, even by Q1 2028, is negligible.
They don’t have the export facilities nor the ability to increase production to move the needle more than pennies per barrel on commodity prices.
Well, that is a short 18 months from now.
And, just ahead of the 2028 election cycle.
Imagine for just a second what that means for crushing the democrat hopes at the polls.
If you can.
I could imagine that. But reality gets in the way of that happening. You can’t build $1 billion structure or multiple multi billion dollar structures in 18 months and have them up and running anywhere close to 50%.
Thanks for letting us know…..
*NOT have them running anywhere near 50%
So far. Amazing what future profits will do to an outfit ready to drill…..
Correct.
Venezuelan heavy crude to US refineries is expected to reach 1 million plus barrels per day by Q2 2028 assuming that current production trends and political stability continue. Current US production is 16-17 million per day against a demand of 20 million per day. Such would likely not reduce gas prices at the pump by more than 0.05 per gallon. The real impact would likely be to replace current Canadian heavy crude imports. The stability of ME oil remains the primary factor in pump prices. A recession or US shale oil production losses would have far more impact on US prices. Today’s news has a lot more to do with Canadian politics than US oil prices. The Canadians lost the only real card they had to play. It may impact the Albertan secession vote but that cuts both ways.
VZ oil production today is 1.23 million barrels per day.
It would be a literal nightmare and an Obamanation if Kamalala the laughing hyena was occupying the White House right now!
Our guy is a lying sbag but he’s better than the other sbag. Nope.
I’m old but I remember they wanted 8 dollar gas so people would be forced to go electric. The Greenies are most hurt by all this. Makes me smile a little.
the globalists need to power their data centers for what’s up their sleeves, so it’s full steam ahead on any and all energy sources
the green agenda is so 20th century now and getting kicked to the curb, heil coal!
evidenced by their head green cheerleader greta getting reassigned to a wholly different globalist cause
Not in NY. Full speed ahead to destroy what’s left of us sane people stuck here!
“Energy Secretary Jennifer Granholm explained the core of the >>>Biden energy policy. Underneath all the blocks to oil and gas development, is the larger objective to transition away from fossil fuels to Green New Deal climate change initiatives.”
>>>”$10/gal gasoline is a feature, it is part of the plan. Rising electricity rates and massive increases in home heating and cooling costs are part of the plan.”
From: “TheConservativeTreehouse, >Energy Secretary Granholm Admits Biden Economic Pain and Gas Prices All Part of New Energy Transition, March 3, 2022 | Sundance<
I do hope this is good for gas prices for the average US consumer.
I also don’t want to see some kind of environmental disaster happen because of substandard engineering, or see more of our engineering sector hollowed out. Offshoring is a tangential issue but I do hope it gets addressed somehow.
Ever notice how no one ever complained about high prices under Bite Me. Companies have gotten so used to making huge profits under Bite Me that they have no incentive to lower costs.
I was told a story that a woman was griping that she got less fuel in her car because under Trump she put only $80 in her vehicle instead of $100 under biden. Someone needs to sit her down and explain some things to her post haste.
🤣🤣🤣
Bingo.
People often have short memories when historical facts don’t fit their argument.😎

Chevron employees just got a month’s pay as a bonus. This happened out of the blue and wasn’t advertised. 😀 For a large chunk of employees in Houston, it’s a well-earned $20k+
Yes, some workflows are moving to India. But it’s freeing Chevron employees’ time up to do more important things.
The Trumpster’s got a case of the ass for Pakistan and India for the back deals supporting Iran money laundering. Expect more fireworks.
I’m glad they gave their staff bonuses.
The point still stands. Chevron, along with many other of the big producers, are offshoring every job they can to India. This isn’t just IT, but skilled engineering.
The problem is, for a lot of the sub-specialties in the oil business, there are limited education pathways (as in only a few schools internationally teach certain subjects). So it’s already an international business and more importantly, the Indian nationals fully qualified to be doing these jobs are, by and large, already working in either the US or Europe. The Indians they’re hiring in India are being hired not because they’re better at it, but because they’re 1/8th the cost.
Look at what happened with Boeing. That same level of quality engineering is being applied to our energy infrastructure. It’s not about where we build refineries or who’s working the fields. It’s about who is making sure the infrastructure is intact and functional.
Aren’t refineries part of infrastructure?
The offshoring is a temporary move.
AI is the bigger threat to people’s jobs in Houston, but we are still another few years from that.
I remember Boeing had all these air turbulence problems and planes almost falling from the sky and then mysteriously the air got calmer?
More important things like what? Just asking!
Everyone at Chevron is feeling overworked at the moment. It’s a blessing and a curse. If a few non-critical daily tasks can get taken off plates, it frees up time to do the primary job along with supporting many of the enterprise-wide initiatives that are currently in-flight.
Seems like it would be better to hire Americans and train them.
The times are changing.
Adjust, or go bankrupt.
Ben in construction for 30 years.
I know of what I speak.
Put your hope in God, not money.
Retired architect here. I’ve been on many construction sites during my 47 year career. Times have definitely changed and not always for good. Skilled laborers today are few and far between and the quality of construction is subpar in many instances.
🎯
It isn’t just oil and gas companies going to India
oh please, Newsom made Chevron’s Cailfornia operations uneconomical.
Included thr foreign company that bought some of our electric utilities!
Right now.
Chevron is going to blow-up 11 windmills in Wyoming. Of course they are gouging been doing it for decades. But do not overlook the speculators and short buyers and sellers the commodity markets have a big say in product pricing.
Carney will be crushed when he gets up oily tomorrow morning.
Fantastic Betsy

why are both teams wearing road whites? Stupid ai.
Nothing like missing the point of the cartoon.

Oh Betsy, that’s a home run! Yeah, I know, it’s hockey, but……….
Brilliant! 👏👏👏👏👏
Oily to bed….🤣
Wordman must have something to say about this
Harry, you’re so nasty. I love it…
He’s always been a sleazy, greasy scumbag. He won’t know the difference.
Does this mean we can be proud of the Citgo sign again?
“This Historic Transaction MORE THAN DOUBLES American Oil Reserves, greatly increases our Oil Supply, and will substantially lower Gas Prices for all Americans, long into the future, while helping to continue to set Venezuela on a course toward Tremendous Success and Great Prosperity.”
Would not buy at Citgo stations after Chavez oil grab.
Illuminati symbolism also gives pause for thought…
Please tell us who were the original Illuminati ???
And 7-11 is owned by Japan…..(saved them from the Thompsons & Canadian raider via an LBO)
Thare she blows!!!!!
Are we not whaling men….?….’
Carney will wail.
Why is it that I feel Carney(et al) prolly applauds this to punish Alberta?
You would think though, but the arsewipe needs Alberta and Saskatchewans revenue to fund his welfare programmes in Quebec and the Maritimes.
we in Canadians that are not privileged with the insights at TCTH are in for a shock.
Cheers!
Sucks to be you Dekester but you Canadians voted for that AssWipe Carney. Don’t get me started on Ford. He looks like the twin brother of Tampon Timmy from Minnesota…..
“Canadians voted for that AssWipe Carney”
More accurately, it was Dominion-Canada’s voting machines. They are quite good at this stuff…………….
$oros’s canadian offices occupied the floor below duhminion’s offices in canadistan
weird
This claim about massive election fraud is disputed by 10 Downing Street and the City of London?
Disputed? Disputed by the MSM and Democrats.
I can live with it..never have voted anything but CONservative in my life.
My guide is the God of my understanding…millions of us Canadians withdrew our consent to ruled after the army moved against us while supporting our Freedom Convoy.
we shall see what happens..
cheers!
The other provinces along with the elites have been punishing Alberta for years, ever since oil was found.
I love our GEOTUS, but calling it US oil reserves is very aggressive. Can’t he just say “have entered into an exclusive supply arrangement?”
Plenty of opposition still in Venezuela and that will give credence to the American Imperialist narrative.
I love the outcome. Sometimes sugar is better than vinegar.
It’s the whole argument, but pretending is easy for many
Pretending not to know things is what global, leftist, communist, green POS do best. And the Canadian government and their offspring, the MSM, do it best.
President Donald J. Trump does things his way and here’s a song that I think defines him well.
If you listen to the lyrics that would be CONgress trying to steer him away from what he really wants to do……Like save our F*ing country.
Perhaps Canada will have to increase refineries and total capability and capacity in any event holding Canadian oil dependency on USA seems to be ending and reversing…..Eastern Canada depends on oil imports….
Alberta has big decisions looming ahead.
Funny, don’t hear much about Mexico anymore….
They have the capacity out west. The problem is they have no way to get it there efficiently..
And….
Cuba has no
black market oil.

Canada needs to crash and burn along with the globalists in Europe and the UK.
It’s political class, it’s government-paid media, the Boomer generation who were hippies in the late 60s, and keep voting Liberal.
They all need their faces rubbed in reality.
I was born in Canada in 1949, and I want to live long enough to see them get what’s coming to them.
They have always had that smug, morally superior anti-American attitude.
“They have always had that smug, morally superior anti-American attitude.”
Yes they do, they can’t stand us.
Why we give great deals, the BEST Deals they tell us, why we give people that can’t stand us the best deals is beyond me.
These Socialist leeches that suck off the American taxpayers and then do nothing but trash talk us, they can all go pound sand, we’re done.
They have bitten the hand that feeds them for the last time.
They’re working for the City of London not Canadian citizens. Wake up Canada. You’re getting screwed or Hosed as you Canadians say, eh?
More and more people are now waking up to the fact that the City of London exists and is one evil corrupt POS that needs to be destroyed.
Sorry, Danielle, but this is what your buddy Carney wanted. He affirmatively wanted to hurt US citizens, in an effort to manipulate our upcoming mid-term elections. Perhaps the blow-back from Carney’s scheme will, instead, affect Canadian elections, eh?
I do not want to see us accept any part of Canada as a State! What we do need is to replenish our Strategic Oil Reserves at a much lower cost per barrel.
Kind of off topic, but why are individual State taxes on gas so stinking high?
In WA it’s “climate tax” to fight the “change”.
But it ends up in the general fund…
It all ends up in the GF and now some taxes have the automatic COLA increase every year.
Thanks Gov Bob
Two idiot governors in a row. And they weren’t that great before.
The climate will be changing soon in SC from summer to fall. But I don’t think we are taxed for that here!
I’m in the firm NO column as well.
Oh & it’s Tax & spend, spend, spend, that’s why.
I’m a firm NO WAY myself.
We do not need the mess that Canada is, in any way, shape, for form.
We have enough of our own mess to clean up.
Probably because a number of States use the fuel excise taxes for everything but highway & road maintenance or upgrades.
Essentially a slush fund.
And there are so many slush funds. Money stashed for whatever the state cartels decide to do next.
Like the Government did with the Social Security funds.
Because they can get away with it.
Some States way worse than others 😎
CA highest at 73.6 cents a gallon, followed by IL at 70.4 and Indiana (?!) at 63.1.
Lowest are AK at 8.95, Hawaiian 18.9 (?!), and NM at 18.9.
Here in TN we get charged 27.4 cents.
IN passed PA (around 60 cents), then.
In some states it’s sold as a “road improvement/road maintenance tax.” But it doesn’t always make it past the statehouse coffers.
That’s what they claim to be using it for in NC. They also claim they use the NC Education lottery for our schools.
Same here in SC.
Because they CAN… Citizens in each state have a vote for their reps. Ask them???
Politician pockets are deep.
Don’t know if it’s true but I just heard that Trump has renamed the San Andreas Fault to Gavins Fault. 🙂
With Biden as the middle name.
Blame that also on a Tectonic shifty Shift
At least there’s something that’s not Trump’s fault! LOL
Now that’s funny. Even if it’s not exactly true, it should be…….
I am truly saddened for all the Canadians who have fought this leftward slide and are now stuck in the madness. We were so close to that precipice ourselves.
Thank you! We are a resilient lot, many like me never took the poison jab.
We will do fine..Cheers!
I think that in the long run, this will help you all.
This is the wake up call that many need up there to add to the numbers on your side..
Election by Election, you will make progress as people begin to see the urgency in needing change.
People have to wake up before they walk away.
President Trump is very effective at jerking the masses out of a coma and dumping them into reality.
This is his idea of Tough Love.
Tough love is exactly what President Trump dishes out. A stark contrast to all these globalist infiltrators itching for their chance to collapse the US economy like Carney has done in Canada. And Germany.
They’re all going for broke for their One World Reset! It’s now or never!
It has to be this way. This pain will be redemptive. I wish more Canadians would desire to be free from the oppressing “CROWN” but I believe our freedom will come through God’s blessing on President Trump. Americans had to endure the BIDEN years; we can endure this correction (judgment) from the Lord on our nation, because HE does have a purpose for Canada.
Agree. God is good. He cares about Canada too and there are many praying believers here. Unfortunately we usually only hear the loudmouth arrogant elbows up propaganda. The rational people are rarely heard but there are many out there.
I see the same thing. The pain will be redemptive. In the end it will be bring good fruit. I see it as God at work in mercy for Canada to save us from the hell on earth Carney wants to take us into.
AMEN
No light shines between the royals and the globalists. Our existential battle is, and should be, with the Commonwealth. It is not Canada or the Canadian people. Carney’s allegiance is to them, not Canada.
The Commonwealth is on the globalists’ leash. For them, Americans, our liberty and our Constitution is all that stands between them and global governance.
Is there a Lloyds hiding in your closet?
naw – hidden hand
A radical proposition, common sense, or both?
For America it seems that’s who Trump is squared off against.
For Canada, it may be both. The Commonwealth has decided that sacrificing the Canadian economy is a price worth paying to stop Trump. Have Canadian patriots had enough? I do not know.
Here’s how to abolish the monarchy in Canada (and say goodbye to King Charles)
Canada has all the tools to make this happen in a relatively short time, in an orderly and respectful manner, without damaging our institutions.

What about the Alaska pipeline? Would Canada try to tariff that or shut it down?
The TAP (trans Alaska pipeline) ends at Valdez Alaska and does not cross Canada. It is entirely within the state of Alaska.
Sorry, I was confused. I was thinking of the gas coming thru BC
The Alaska Highway Gas PipelineThe Alaska Highway Gas Pipeline project is a natural gas pipeline system for transporting natural gas from Alaska’s North Slope to the lower 48 states, through Yukon, British Columbia, Alberta and Saskatchewan. The pre-build, completed in 1982, currently transports gas from Western Canada to American markets in the West and the Midwest. The northern portion would connect the reserves at Prudhoe Bay, Alaska with existing Alberta infrastructure. About 1,555 km of this route would be located in northern Canada, passing through numerous communities in both Yukon and northern B.C.
Evening ListlessVesselMomma,
Yes, The Alaska highway project could indeed be a problem in the “trade war”.
The pipeline in Alaska is completely in Alaska. Runs from the Arctic down to the Pacific.
https://alyeska-pipe.com/trans-alaska-pipeline-system-taps-overview/
Sounds like it needs oil from ANWR.
The legal fight goes on.

there’s gotta be a way Trump gets a 3rd 4 year term
he’s certainly earned it
thinking, thinking…
Yah, elect Eric Trump.
The simplest strategy is to run as VP with JD or Marco. Then he runs as the stealth president or one of those gentlemen gets a huge golden parachute to suddenly retire for “health” reasons (wink, wink) and he truly gets a third term
as President.
I understand, but give the man a break!
He’s 80yo! He’s got to be running as a mission from God.
He is mentoring his replacement, and will leave us on the right trajectory to yhe best of his ability. But Americans need to re-engage and complete the task of savingbour country.
As my late mother used to say . . . “Leave ’em wanting more.”
The age of 80 is not the same for all. I’ll be 80 in a month and as healthy as most 60 s I know. Trump is much healthier today than Biden was at 70. But health is not the important issue. The Constitution is. We need term limits on all three branches and the deep state. Giving Trump a 3rd term would effectively kill any advance toward that greater goal. We have other batters ready to step up to the plate.
AMEN!
DANIELLE SMITH also has her own set of puppet masters. Alberta would like to be free, but the “British System” – is relentless. Canada is being used to influence the mid terms – and all of Canada will pay for this growing HYDRA (Globalism; Communism; and Islamism) on our soil.
Thank you again President Trump for standing up for the “American System” of national sovereignty; servanthood in working for the best in your country; acknowledging that all CLAY is to WORSHIP the POTTER and not “out of control governments” – and you have a Canadian blessing to make VENEZUELA GREAT AGAIN!
Our next great war….?
— I don’t know if that is an American or Canadian perspective – but in the end it does not matter. The “British – divine right of kings” mentality has always been to bring the American breakaway sprit “back into the fold” and it has not worked so far. It is the same “breakaway spirit” that Martin Luther had to fight for inside the Catholic church. That is why – today- we are called “PROTESTANTS.” Protesting the “witchcraft” – dominance, control and manipulation of the free will in either the political or religious arenas. The Catholic church hierarchy (and I am saying ROMAN CATHOLIC not HOLY SPIRIT filled Catholics) wants a “world wide” religion.
I do know, however, that God will have a Bride that is an overcomer. The biggest “war” is not the EXTERNAL as the waters of mankind become more and more murky; the biggest “war” has always been the self nature – INTERNAL. And it is going to take this “spanking” to bring Canada into a real wake up call in regards to her true current SPIRITUAL state – and then a change in her government. Blessings.
I see the comments below this. Not many understand the oil & gas industry.
Very true.
“We can now reverse those north-south pipelines and pump heavy Venezuela crude oil north into U.S. refineries”
as of today, or what would we estimate is the time-frame before it is live and running?
4 years, assuming they can get excess tankers to take those short, poor-paying routes.
Canada’s goose is cooked.
Smith points out that an export tax or ban will result in the end of Eastern Canada. Even a hissy fit by Canada will backfire.
I said yesterday Trump was trolling the MSM with this “Lake of America” stuff. He was. REAL work was done in Venezuela which DOUBLED the U.S. oil reserves instantly. Gas prices will fall, and keep falling, in time for the midterms.
What a deal for America! Only Trump could’ve pulled this off. The Maduro capture made it possible.
This has been a well thought out plan many, many months in the making. Democrat heads are going to explode. Trump gets a massive win and they didn’t even see it coming.
I love it!
This is nowhere near doubling our proven reserves.
My research says otherwise as known U.S. reserves as of 2025 were 83.7 billion barrels. This deal is worth AT LEAST 65 billion now. Axios is saying it has 90 billion barrels. Who knows what will be discovered?
I love it when Democrap heads explode. There’s nothing inside but it’s still entertaining to watch.
As a, major oil and gas investor with many friends in the business, This argument of price gouging is ridiculous.
How many years do these big oil and gas companies lose money.? Chevron is making the majority of its money on refining, because of capacity supply and demand metrics. Crack spreads are typically $25 and now they’re $45 per barrel. What that means is the refining process makes an $80 barrel of oil cost $125 once broken down in diesel, jet fuel, gasoline, and other distillates.
The Alberta pipeline West, and significant Venezuelan replacement of Canadian oil are at least 3 to 4 years away.
I think this could be an impetus to Albertan independence. But since they have to run the pipeline west through Canadian territory, it could be a no-win situation for them via toll rates. I believe Enbridge will build and operate it.
Agree 100%. There are a thousand oil producers in the world and if any of them could make an extra $ pumping a barrel, they would.
O-H.
See you in Austin in 2 weeks?
We’ll be there.
Will u be at Brazos house for the pregame Buckeye party?
One of our daughters goes to school at UT, and we keep an apartment there for her. We’ll be out and about that day. 😀
Well if you see a group with a bunch of Asians and 2 white guy dressed in Bucks gear, that’s us.
Could they build it underwater?
Run it through British Columbia or Montana
Alberta is landlocked. The pipeline is scheduled to go to British Columbia. Unless there is some huge lake, I’m not aware of between Alberta and BC, I don’t know how that would be possible.
I was just reading that if everything goes as planned with all the obstacles in the way that that pipeline to Roberts wouldn’t be finished until 2034. They will then be able to ship oil to China because there’s a deep water port there near the border of Washington.
The timeline is a point of major contention amongst the oil and gas media; independent of crazy regulatory stuff
Does anyone know the background story with Venezuela? I know that they nationalized a bunch of American assets and I think when Trump says “no cost to Americans” it means Venezuela has agreed to give us oil instead of cash for all of the damage they did to US production companies.
Right?
From what I recall, Venzuela stole /nationalized all of the American company assets that were drilling for oil there. At “no cost to Americans” means to me that Venzuela is giving back the assets that were stolen. I don’t know if I’m right.
I’m guessing that any oil company that has their right restored to drill with their own equipment won’t be giving the oil they drill away for free. Previous rights are being restored. Its a good thing.
Canadian oil is sour. So is Venezuelan. The same refineries should be able to handle the switch
and that supplies us with the diesel we need (as well as sulphur) to power our transportation, construction, agricultural and a host of other industries
crack costs greatly reduced
this is huge
CAN is so eff’d…
My feeling is don’t blame Smith as she has a referendum to move out of Canada coming up. There is NO way Carney and the globalists are going to let their only gold go, but…
LOL!
Screw Canada. We don’t need their stinking oil and we sure as heck don’t need their bull$h!t.
Ha!
Set aside President Reagan for a moment.
When was the last damn time a President actually did the job they were elected to do?
Look out for, and take care of, our country and her people!!!
Ike.
Washington.
Joe blow won’t care unless gas prices go down.
Combine the New York Yankees of the ‘50’s, the Boston Celtics of the 60’s, the ‘72 Miami Dolphins, the Chicago Bulls of the ‘90’s, and the Tom Brady era of the Patriots.
Mix well.
And that, my friends, equals the Donald Trump winning streak!
WINNING!!
So, if this deal was in the works anyway, where would the Canadian oilpatch have fit into the overall scheme? If the Venezuelan is so cheap/lucrative then what king of pricing would be placed on the relatively expensive-to-extract Canadian product? Lot of questions, I wonder if these were being discussed or asked during the trade discussions? Why are we just hearing now? It sounds as if Alberta is destined to be in a very junior partner position long term no matter what.
Canada is going to have to ship that oil to CCP land. Probably had a deal cooking to do that already. Wonder what Canada is going to do with all that worthless CCP money?
I think she definitely knew what was possible. She laid it out pretty well. It was just too late.
Waving bye bye Canadian Government, I like Canadian people, too bad for the latter!
Canadian Broadcasting Corporation tells staff not to refer to 9/11 as ‘terrorist attacks’
komonews.com/news/nation-world
WHAT THE “H”?! It was a terrorist attack, plain and simple—and I cannot even begin to wrap my head around media organizations playing word games with a tragedy of this scale. Hearing that anyone would instruct staff not to call 9/11 a terrorist attack feels like a complete slap in the face to the thousands of innocent lives stolen, their grieving families, and the brave first responders who ran straight into burning buildings without a second thought.
What happened on September 11th burned a scar into our collective hearts forever. It wasn’t just a series of random “incidents,” “tragedies,” or simple “plane crashes”—it was an act of pure, calculated terror designed to destroy lives and tear us apart. Stripping away the word **”terrorist”** doesn’t make reporting objective or neutral; it actively strips away the dignity of the victims, minimizes the magnitude of our shared pain, and tries to rewrite history to fit a style guide.
You cannot sanitize evil, and you cannot edit out the reality of what we all lived through. Refusing to name what happened for what it truly was dishonors nearly 3,000 lost souls and every single hero who gave everything that day. We made a sacred promise to **NEVER FORGET**, and keeping that promise starts with having the courage and integrity to speak the plain truth.
I agree. This is, literally, the kind of propaganda-reporting that came out of the Soviet Union in the Cold War. Sick people at the Canadian Broadcasting (government run) Corporation.
Canada has shown itself to Americans. Mostly we have to be reminded that Canada is there. Now Americans have a new sense of the place and its people.
Lake America!
FAFO says it all. Canada is Fk’d. Why do idiots let the Trumpster kick their ass so easily??
Not tired of winning!
PBR (not Pabst blue ribbon, it’s a stock symbol) is currently and in the future, going to drive down worldwide oil prices in the next decade more than any domestic production could. They are adding refinery capacity, drilling new wells for themselves, drilling for Columbia, and reviving Mexico‘s Pemex oil production.
The real endgame is allowing the entire western hemisphere to have cheap energy, independent of the ME. VZ will be back up to speed in a decade or slightly less.
Reversing the pipes to CA still doesn’t solve the issue of transport within CA. With their economy collapsed, there will also be reduced demand. This VZ situation is just a hedge.
When Trump first pulled off the great Venezuela extraction I read an article penned by a very depressed Canadian energy expert who saw the writing on the wall. And now here we are.
No one can accuse Trump of bringing a knife to a gunfight,
I believe he brought a cannon to a knife fight.
This is certainly good news. Unfortunately, it can, and will, be reversed by a Democrat/Socialist administration. The Senate Republicans MUST pass the SAVE Act and, if they manage to retain control of both chambers, codify all of POTUS’ EOs.
Ohhh Canada! Where art thou?
About 3/4 of Venezuela oil export is sour, heavy, crude oil which is essentially the same as what Alberta sends to the US and what so many US refineries are set up to refine.
Me thinks that Canada’s future trade negotiations position just got significantly weakened.
Danielle Smith/Alberta predicted this a few days ago as a repurcussion for Laurel & Hardy’s (ehh..Carney and Ford) stupidity re threatening oil flows to US. DT in full FAFO mode.
Giddy Up.
Danielle Smith knows exactly what is coming. Her head on a pike when thousands and thousands of Canadians lose their jobs and it won’t be long before it happens. And who the hell is going to be able to afford to buy that Chinese junk that will be flooding your markets.
Time for another massive TRUCKERS strike.
This is the cheaper gas option in CA…right now. Just took this photo in my car.
FJB
Yikes. Newsom just gave those crazy mullahs license to raise the price of gasoline in Iran. They have raised the price of gas to 20¢ per gallon according to Professor Marandi on Dialogue Works this very morning.
Has anyone seen how a gas station calls 2 or 3 neighboring gas stations and then sets their pump prices based on surrounding stations ?
This is the corrupt fraudulent gas market and the globalist companies will do anything to stick it to PDJT and the American people.
A barrel of crude oil produces many products other then gasoline and tons of o money is made off one barrel of crude and just like always nobody is ever held accountable
Around here that happens because there is only one reliable supplier to take delivery from. And he charges everyone the same price.
