A Canadian intern at NATO military headquarters in Belgium was arrested for espionage. The name of the intern is Chinese, but to protect the Canadian government from embarrassment the nation the woman was spying for remains undisclosed. Go figure.
The Chinese influence operations within Canadian government and politics is a subject that has been disclosed over the past few years with a great deal of consternation inside Canada. The intern was within the SHAPE operation.

So, this Chinese spy from Canada was operating inside the NATO military operation that was supporting the weapon supply system for Ukraine.
(NYT) – The authorities in Belgium said on Saturday that a Canadian intern at the North Atlantic Treaty Organization’s military headquarters had been arrested on suspicion of spying for another country.
The Belgian Federal Prosecutor’s Office said the woman was “of Chinese origin” and was arrested on Friday. “She is suspected of spying on behalf of a third country and of being a member of a criminal organization,” it said in a statement, which did not identify the country or the criminal organization.
The intern was first flagged by the security services at the Supreme Headquarters Allied Powers Europe, or SHAPE, which is near Mons, Belgium. The case was then referred to Belgian intelligence and a police investigation was launched, the federal prosecutor’s office said.
That investigation led to searches of the woman’s home and place of work on Thursday, and a judge decided to place her under arrest on Friday, the prosecutor’s office said, adding in its statement that it would not comment further on the case. (MORE)

How does an intern make it in there to begin with?
To be more direct: the intern is the fall gyal.
Indeed, a network of spy’s! Whodathunkit?
The Canadians again last year
Canadian man found intoxicated outside NATO military headquarters jailed
A Canadian man found drunk in a car outside NATO’s military headquarters in Belgium has been sentenced to 30 days in jail by a Canadian military court — despite not being a member of the Canadian Armed Forces and not committing any offence under Belgian law.
Before his conviction by court martial last year, 63-year-old Doug Allison sought to have the impairment charge dismissed, arguing that Canada’s military justice system had no jurisdiction over him as a civilian living in Belgium.
When the trial eventually went ahead, the court heard that Allison was discovered asleep behind the wheel of a car parked outside a bar on the sprawling grounds of NATO’s Supreme Headquarters Allied Powers Europe (SHAPE) in December 2022.
The international military police officer who found him testified that Allison was slumped in the driver’s seat with his door open and “a strong odour of alcohol coming from him,” according to court records.

Can we just get racial. Unless a person is born in America to parents that were born in America they are not eligible for any political office here in America. And after they have been thoroughly vetted from A to A.
Thank you, Sundance
Canada definitely is a weak link and a poor ally in the war between the USA and China. Most Canadians are oblivious. The tide is turning but it’s very slow. Canadians seem to be easily fooled by mainstream media propaganda, which I believe is heavily influenced by China. It’s often noticed that China has the same talking points as Canadian Liberals government and mainstream media. CBC is the worst but that’s not surprising since they are heavily reliant on government subsidies.
There are notable Canadians who are fighting the delusion. Journalist Sam Cooper is probably the main one. He is also highly regarded by many Americans too. He wrote the book ‘Willful Blindness’, published in 2024, and does daily news reports on current issues.
Another Canadian sounding the alarm is the former national director of the RCMP’s proceeds of crime program, Garry Clement, and veteran intelligence officer and Chief of Asia Pacific (CSIS), Michel Juneau-Katsuya, who co-wrote the book ‘Canada under Siege’, published August 2025.
Another Canadian sounding the alarm is Sinologist, Charles Burton. I’m sure there are others but these are the ones I’ve been reading about.
America needs to wake up to this as well. China has been using the same tactics, often successfully, in America. There undoubtedly is an awareness in the Trump administration of what is happening and they are going after it. This also explains Trump’s antagonism towards Canada. But it’s just the beginning. China has made many inroads into America that will need to be stopped. This is a new kind of war and China is an expert at it. I pray it never becomes kinetic.
I recommend Americans read Sam Cooper’s book ‘Willful Blindness’ and follow his reporting. Much of it applies to America too.
CC, I appreciate your insightful comment, but the fact is that the only reason that the Chinese, or any other entity or foreign government are able to do what they allegedly or actually do is because the people are just still comfortable with their current state of affairs, contrary to their protests and blathering otherwise. Nothing and no administration will change anything of any significance until the people become uncomfortable to the point that they act to alter things. How this comes about, under what conditions or how the people’s actions manifest themselves outwardly I cannot say, but there it is; we’re comfortable with the way things are.
Thanks again.
