President Trump held a bilateral meeting with NATO General Secretary Mark Rutte earlier today during the NATO Summit in Ankara, Turkey.
WATCH THIS ONE!
During the press availability President Trump noted the Memorandum of Understanding with Iran has been essentially nullified, and the U.S. is responding with 20:1 retaliatory military strike into Iran. Trump noted “they’re scum” when discussing the lies from the Iranian regime.
Moving to NATO, President Trump specifically called out the weak NATO members who stood by and did nothing while Iran was building nuclear threats. President Trump called out France, Germany and the U.K. specifically, with a strong condemnation of Spain for their political interference.
President Trump pulled no punches and further stated that all U.S. trade with Spain should be immediately discontinued as a consequence of their interference and lack of support for security goals and objectives. WATCH:
.
Do not skip this press availability. President Trump speaks plainly about the geopolitical dynamics throughout the region and beyond. This is a level of brutal honesty that will never be repeated in American politics.

Sundance, I hate to ask because I know you’re a busy guy with everything here but what is the remedy to this?
Do the other Middle East powers get involved here in an offensive against Iran?
What are Trumps options with this?
Please put my mind at ease if you could.
Thanks
President Trump pretty much answered that question in his statement above…
Got your popcorn out?
Thanks Ed. I haven’t gotten to watch yet.
I’ll check it out.
From my research, he’s probably correct. We didn’t enter into the LOUSY MOU out of the kindness of our hearts:
Trump Triples Down on Knocking Iran Out / Lt Col Daniel Davis (8:35)
Daniel Davis / Deep Dive
Jul 6, 2026
Thanks Winston. Nice to hear a perspective from outside the echo chamber
Davis said that President Trump is either bluffing or he is crazy.
The latter is what he wants foolish people to think.
Scum te dum dum, dum.
Scum te dum dum dumb.🦨
The President initiated a war w Iran months ago and after 184 billion taxpayer moneys spent, he’s just now realizing iran is a nation of terrorists / duplicitous scum…? I still concur w Erik Prince’s statement at the start of this war that going to war w iran would open a can of worms and it did – no regime change achieved, outrageous fuel prices, no surrender of plutonium stockpile.
Billions that could have instead been spent removing the 50 million illegal alien criminals & freeloaders b4 barrett and roberts betrayed every american citizen.
Wake up america
And what do you propose as next step ?
stay out of middle east affairs…. let the oil-rich arab nations that feel threatened deal w iran
They would become irans vassals
And what if someone told you Europe was part of the provoking of it all (via a Proxy), with terrorist tentacles reaching back out to the world’s innocent? No, This nation must be dealt with along with the gordian knot of Europe. Look what happened once Maduro was captured? These same EU nut jobs were furious! All their evil proxies need to be destroyed and then naked EU need to be put in their place. They’ve been subverting the US for decades along with bought and paid for USA complicit “Leaders (Traitors)”. The enemy had the US surrounded. Now the enemy is getting dragged into the light and being exposed. Once they’ve been identified, you deal with ALL of them!
They are a sovereign nation that deserves enough respect to sit down at a table and discuss the situation. When they prove during respectful negotiations they cannot be trusted, you escalate. Going in with guns blazing solves nothing.
How many billion dollar deals have you negotiated?
Didn’t think so.
How many billion dollar deals have you negotiated?
I have never flown a 747 but I’m pretty sure I know what a crash looks like.
I do not agree that nothing has been accomplished. Thanks to Israel, two layers of Iranian fanatical leadership levels have been removed. I doubt Israel could have done this w/o America’s bombing campaign. What I do agree with is starting wars without the intention of finishing them. This is what leads to the “forever wars” President Trump condemns so voraciously.
Typo. I meant to say I DON’T want to start wars without the intention of finishing them. If you’re going to sign on to endless ceasefires the opponent breaks, then don’t start the war in the first place.
The Iran negotiations were not really about the US negotiating with Iran.
The real purpose was a US negotiation with the Gulf Arab states, with China, with Europe, with Pakistan, and all the other countries. President Trump was proving to all those other countries that the US was interested in peace and would give Iran every possible opportunity to make a good deal. He knew Iran would not be able to help themselves, they would always violate the agreement, they would always threaten their neighbors, they would always demonstrate bad-faith.
Iran proved to the whole world they were covertly working on nukes (when they admitted they had 440kg of weapons-grade uranium.) They proved they had covertly built missiles that could reach Europe (when they fired some at Diego Garcia.) They proved they would always attack their neighbors (when the fired missiles and drones at every neighboring country, including at countries that had been friendly with Iran like Turkey, Pakistan and Qatar.) Iran proved they would threaten the world’s oil supplies (when they mined the Straits, attacked oil infrastructure and started charging tolls.) Iran even proved it would exploit its puppets and leave them worse off (they got caught bribing Iraqi politicians and used Hezbollah in Lebanon to attack Israel causing Israel to invade.)
Iran succeeded in getting the entire world mad at them. They have zero friends left. Their defenses are gone. They are totally exposed.
Alternate oil supplies have now come online.
Iran has no leverage. The US has all the cards. We can punish them at will and there isn’t much they can do about it.
Jeez rum, I have to say that I disagree with virtually everything you said in this comment.
“…just now realizing…”
Really?
That perspective is juvenile.
“…going to war w iran would open a can of worms…”
That ‘can’ has been open for 47 years! Trump’s just the 1st one to take the necessary steps to close it. The only folks opposed to this conflict are those who profit from it.
“…no regime change achieved,…”
Beside that not ever being an objective, I think their on like their 3rd leader since this world saving effort began.
“…outrageous fuel prices,…”
Short term, and you know it. And no worse, or even as bad as what happens under ANY democrat president. At least this time there’s a good reason behind it.
“…no surrender of plutonium stockpile.”
This one is laughable. Um, it’s gonna take a while to dig it up.
Now is not the time for cynical, short sighted, cowardly pontifications.
NOTHING on the Centcom X account denying this as they’ve always done in the past with bogus Iranian claims. BTW, the Iranians apparently chose to (supposedly) shoot at 85 targets because we attacked 80:
Has there recently been a virtual blackout about damage on US military facilities in the area of Iran? I’m referring to the recent claims from Iran that they fired at 85 targets yesterday.
Iran’s claim that it targeted 85 U.S. military sites in Bahrain and Kuwait appears to be a statement of intent or retaliation, not independently verified damage reporting. Current reporting says Tehran’s IRGC announced the strikes, but U.S. and Gulf officials had not confirmed damage or casualties at the time of the reports.
The named locations in the reports include Bahrain and Kuwait, with references to the U.S. Fifth Fleet area and Ali Al Salem Air Base. Reporting available so far says air defenses were activated, but no confirmed U.S. or Gulf acknowledgment of damage has appeared in the sources I found.

Have US personnel been living off-base since the war began?
Yes—many U.S. personnel in the region have been living off-base since the war began, but that does **not** mean all of them did. Reporting said Iranian attacks forced troops off their main bases and into improvised sites such as hotels and office buildings, while thousands were dispersed to other locations in the region and even Europe.
What the reporting indicates
– U.S. troops in the Middle East were moved away from damaged or vulnerable bases after Iranian strikes.
– Some personnel were relocated to hotels and office spaces because their original facilities were compromised.
– The broader pattern was dispersal for force protection, not a permanent change in housing status for everyone.
Important distinction
“Living off-base” can mean different things. For many service members it normally means private housing or leased accommodations, but in this context the reporting is describing an emergency relocation away from attacked bases, not the standard peacetime housing model. [travel.dod](https://www.travel.dod.mil/Allowances/Basic-Allowance-for-Housing/)
Bottom line
So the best answer is: yes, many have been off-base in practice since the war began, but mostly as a temporary security measure rather than a normal long-term housing arrangement.

Back in late March this must have been done by one of their drones with terminal guidance (probably image matching) because it specifically hit the very large radome area of the aircraft for which, unlike the other electronics in the aircraft, I would guarantee there are no new spares. They would have to remove one from another AWACS. AI says there is ONE E-3A AWACS mothballed in the aircraft “boneyard” at Davis-Monthan AFB, AZ, but the aircraft shown below is beyond saving:

Dead on.
Agree. The Left knows MAGA/Trump stand in the way of taking over the country for Islamocommunism (Mamdanism). The Republican Establishment (as always) miscalculates. They think IF they can get rid of MAGA/Trump, they can reestablish status quo ante (Bushes, Romneys, McCains, Collinses, Murkowskis, et al. )
Agree… they always want to tread water (diplomacy) in the midst of sharks (liars and deal-breakers) because they believe they will be bankrolled and yanked from the sea just in time, while those of us who are under them are devoured. Not going to happen. The delusion will be shattered, and the feeding frenzy will begin making the water red with their blood and ours. They have no protection in false government. However, God is on the throne…If you’re already a believer, read Nehemiah 13….It sounds so familiar!!! Even if you don’t like the idea of God’s law.
A clarity and frankness of speech that will probably never be reached again in our lifetimes. Thank you, President Trump.
If we have the strongest and best military the world has ever know – and by far – why can’t we defeat Iran on our own and by now?
Iran has become President Trump’s Tar Baby/
Idiomatic Meaning: It refers to a difficult or inextricable situation that becomes worse or more complicated when one attempts to solve or escape it, alluding to the folktale where the more the character struggles, the more entangled they become.
Yes, and considering the hit list he’s on, President Trump’s strategy is the same as in that story: Brer Rabbit is thrown into a briar patch. He acts like it really hurts for a bit to buy time and then hollers at Brer Fox, “Born and bred in the briar patch, B’rer Fox! Born and bred in the briar patch!” And with that he hopped away laughing and laughing till he could laugh no more.
Agree. Poorly thought out strategy at best. Expected more from He and his team. Only way out is to take out infrastructure and sources of oil and subsequent processing and loading capabilities. Leave the mess created for the other Middle East countries to figure out where to go from there.
Look at this. The troll and his sock puppets all together spewing nonsense. I have no idea why you think you can influence people here. You’re wasting your time, but maybe the money is good enough, at least for a lowlife.
Well, PDJT has given Iran the opportunity to work something out, preferring to negotiate but ready to back it up. Looks like the pressure is on GCC to find the solution understanding NATO’s help is virtually non existent.
Iran doesn’t want to “work something out.” They want to destroy President Trump and his Republicans in the November election.
Don’t think for a minute that John Kerry, Susan Rice and Mike Pence aren’t on the phone with the Iranians giving them advice and encouragement to continue dragging out the conflict!
This!
That’s exactly what I believe, without a doubt!!
We sell arms to NATO and they give them to Ukraine. But we give NATO more money than the cost of the weapons we sell to them. So we are basically giving weapons to NATO to give to Ukraine.
Am thinking it is far more than for a sightseeing tour, of the new AF1.

Ugh. President Trump is also a domestic target…6 ways to Sunday cabal comes to mind….would be way too easy to blame Iran if anything happened.
He should call them pigs and dogs.
looks like Rutte’s been watching a bunch of WNBA
I thought the same. Rutte doesn’t have 1/10th the class of
Good!
President Trump is smoking out puppet masters. Susan Kokinda put out a piece on this today.
What Erdogan and Putin Know That NATO Doesn’t: Trump’s Ankara Move
Watched it. Loved it!
This whole current situation was terribly predictable. We have to think things through better as we can’t spend anymore money on wasted war efforts.
Okay troll, whatever nonsense you say.
The only think predictably was this ridiculous comment. It should’ve been thought out better. We can’t spend anymore time and effort on it.
I tend to think the 2 months of MOU was used fruitfully. IOW the Iranian insurgents are being trained and armed. Iran is a large country so an insurgency will not be quick. Yet insurgencies do have an avalanche quotient
Rutte is sucking up to Trump
I am glad Trump was honest today. Perhaps whatever he said about the Iranian government before now was affected by his not wanting to prejudice or ruin the negotiations. Now he’s done with them and can say exactly how he perceives them. He sees them as the lying psychopathic mass murderers they are.
Rutte is a little over the top for me. Spineless and blows with the winds of fortune.
