President Trump delivers remarks during a bilateral discussion with Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani the Emir of Qatar. As previously noted, the G7 is no longer an assembly of the industrial nations. The G7 has morphed into a meeting of multiple nations unattached to the original intent.
The primary discussion surrounded the current deal with Iran for a cessation of hostilities.

Per article about an Iranian dissident group,
peace in Iran
is not good for the remnants of the ( shiite muslim) theology that miss uses coercions, terror and war upon people etc
to force its way, its influence upon the mid east – and way beyond, incl u.s.
The dissident group wants free elections so as to alter the miss leadership.
[ so does the U.S. people want free elections, 1 legal person, 1 vote – and counted that way ( pass the SAVE America Act )…
in the U.S. …but…some prefer to play pretend… that it already is that way…but..]
The House passed the SAVE America act about a year ago…
…but the U.S. Senate…uhhh…
Article – Iran people want peace

Morning Briefing
Updated 3h ago
The post-war diplomatic landscape dominated overnight developments, with Iranian FM Araghchi confirming the Iran-US memorandum of understanding will be formally signed in Switzerland on Friday, June 19, while stressing that ending Israeli military action in Lebanon is an “inseparable” part of the deal. CIA Director Ratcliffe delivered a significant intelligence warning, telling senior US officials that “Iran’s intentions are not consistent with the commitments it has accepted under this deal,” primarily referring to any nuclear deal. Secretaries Rubio and Hegseth also expressing skepticism deepening bipartisan doubts on Capitol Hill. In a striking military disclosure, Israeli Air Force Commander Tischler revealed that a massive Israeli strike on “hundreds of targets” inside Iran was aborted just one hour before takeoff on approximately June 8, following intervention by President Trump. Meanwhile, the Strait of Hormuz shipping crisis persists, with Mitsui OSK CEO warning transit won’t resume for “at least several weeks,” as some 600 vessels remain queued inside the Persian Gulf, and three unexplained explosions were reported near Qeshm Island overnight. Iran will connect its electric grid to Qatar in the near future, Tehran’s energy minister says. Diplomatic sources told Israel Hayom that the US secretly authorized a financial/maritime deal where Qatar transferred billions of dollars to Iran (or facilitated access to Iranian funds held in Qatar) in exchange for safe passage of Qatari tankers/ships through the Strait of Hormuz and protection from attacks on Qatari energy infrastructure.
just to be clear, here’s whats verified and what’s not:
The grid connection is a verified recent announcement.
The financial deal is plausible given Qatar’s broker role and regional dynamics but relies on anonymous sourcing and should be treated cautiously until more evidence emerges. No independent verification or official confirmations are available in public reporting.
Iran is in charge of events.
The ”deal”is just a continuation of the past 47 years.
Iran is not constrained by election cycles.
As President Trump says an agreement with Iran could be signed tomorrow, new concerns are emerging over what Tehran is hiding underground. According to the report, Iran has fortified its enriched uranium stockpiles by collapsing tunnel entrances and placing mines near storage sites, complicating any possible American operation or future transfer and destruction of the material.
The emerging agreement is described as a short memorandum of understanding, not a final peace deal or complete nuclear agreement. It could include a 60-day ceasefire framework, the opening of the Strait of Hormuz, a halt to threats against shipping, and the start of negotiations over the nuclear program, enriched uranium, and international supervision. Trump warned that if the deal does not happen, the United States still has “the ultimate alternative.”
From Israel’s perspective, the concern is not only what appears in the agreement, but what is missing from it. Israel fears a bad agreement could stop the campaign halfway, give Iran time to breathe, and leave the same threat structure in place: nuclear material, missiles, Hezbollah, the Houthis, and Iranian-backed proxy forces across the region.
Iran’s foreign minister is reportedly demanding that any end to the war include the withdrawal of all IDF forces from Lebanon. At the same time, the IDF exposed Hezbollah plans found inside a tunnel network funded by Tehran, while alerts were triggered near Metula after a rocket launch toward IDF forces in southern Lebanon. Israel fears Hezbollah could use diplomacy to recover instead of disarm.
The report also examines the hidden meaning behind the Iranian bombing of Qatari gas infrastructure and the role of Ras Laffan in global energy security. Iran is also setting conditions around the Strait of Hormuz, where shipping, energy markets, and global pressure are now part of the same battlefield.
Iran says four major banks were hit in a limited cyberattack, while in Britain, four pro-Palestinian activists were sentenced to prison after breaking into an Elbit factory and causing destruction.
Hmmmm
OR
I will go with # 2, Alex, for the win.
Who else is suspicious of the Iranian diplomacy disguising treachery?
Who else is thinking an investment in the US by a moslem monarchy is a bad, very bad, unbelievably bad, huge huge bad idea?
On 1. I, too, am suspicious.
On 2, I totally agree.
Trump secretly approved Qatar-Iran cash deal

Excerpts:
Diplomatic officials confirm Washington secretly authorized Doha to transfer funds to Tehran in exchange for freedom of navigation in the Strait of Hormuz and immunity from attacks. The dual policy was intended to curb global energy prices, and served as the basis for the memorandum of understanding being forged with the leadership of the Revolutionary Guards. While oversight of the financial spigot was watered down and handed to the Qataris, talks in Washington stalled over a bitter dispute surrounding the issue of uranium enrichment.
While the United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia were hit by missile and UAV attacks after the ceasefire, Qatar assisted Iran financially and remained completely protected. As part of this arrangement, Iran demanded access to part of its deposits held in Qatar. Some of the payments were disguised as fees for tankers passing through Hormuz, and a broad credit line of up to $1 billion was also opened for the purchase of goods through Qatar.
The Qatari success whetted the appetite of other Gulf states that tried to reach a similar arrangement, which worked only partially. According to reports, the country in question was the United Arab Emirates, but the diplomatic officials with whom we spoke refused to officially confirm this, even though in recent weeks Iran has refrained from attacking the Emirates while firing missile barrages at Bahrain and Kuwait.
At some point, “maybe there’s a strategy” stops being analysis and becomes cope. We are there.
Not many comments on this article and I found it very interesting.
At the 17:00 minute mark the conversation goes to Syria and the facial expression on the Emir of Qatar’s face changes.
Idk, I’ve watched it multiple times.
Is Syria fighting, too?
It made me go to the story in the bible and re-read 2-Chronicles 16 where King Asa of Judah paid Syria to break their (Syria’s) treaty alliance with the northern kingdom of Israel and fight for the southern kingdom of Judah against the northern kingdom of Israel.
Judah’s King Asa paid Syrian’s King BenHadad with gold and silver from the Jerusalem treasury.
Syria changed sides for the gold and silver payment and fought for Judah.
Afterwards, King Asa suffered from a debilitating foot disease and died after two years.
Is Netanyahu & Israel/Jerusalem paying Syria to fight for them in Lebanon? Much of this territory used to be in the northern kingdom of Israel circa 930-BC to 722-BC.
There is another story regarding Syrian King Rezin in Isaiah 7.
That story ended with Judah’s king at that time, Uzziah (aka Azariah) exalting himself into the holy sanctuary and personally burned the holy incense that only the priests were allowed to offer.
That didn’t end too well for King Uzziah. Leprosy and a devastating earthquake hit.
Are today’s events prophecy?
If Netanyahu breaks out with a foot disease (such as king Asa did) or devastating ulcer-type sores (as leper King Uzziah did), I’m gonna start wondering?
If a huge earthquake hits, I’m going to look up.
