This is one spectacular impromptu presser by Secretary of State Marco Rubio following discussions with Ecuador’s President Daniel Noboa at Carondelet Palace. All of it is direct, deliberate, targeted and without any reserved remarks held back due to regional sensibilities.
Secretary Rubio emphatically outlined how the United States is going to work with Latin-America officials to remove narco-terrorism in all its forms from the region like “cutting out a cancer.” Rubio walks through the issues and the importance of direct confrontation, including the use of the U.S. military, the U.S. intelligence agencies and every element of power at our disposal to help leaders like President Daniel Noboa fight the corrupt gangs and domestic terrorist networks within the region. Rubio’s strength of statements is exceptional.
These remarks come on the heels of the State Dept today designating corrupt Ecuadorian officials as facilitators of Foreign Terrorist Organizations [SEE HERE]. He also praised the government of Ecuadorian President Daniel Noboa as being “the most involved and aggressive partner” the US has had in its work dismantling criminal networks and “bringing people to justice that have never been brought to justice before”. When Secretary Rubio repeatedly emphasized the connection between these narco terrorists and the political/economic left, I cheered.
Never before have I seen an American politician shine such a bright light on the criminality, corruption and brutality of leftists.
This is the kind of non-pretending, unvarnished truth telling that we so desperately need.

Reminder … before operations vs Venezuela were started in 2025 as well as diplomatic efforts to date to put more nationalistic governments in place:
There existed across the the territories encompassing the land mass including: Brazil, Colombia, Ecuador, Venezuela, Peru, Panama, Mexico and Nicaragua an alliance of sorts of “NARCO-leftist” governments that had joined BRICS and invited; China Inc., Iranian IRGC, Cuban Technocrats and Security Specialist and even Russia into their countries and were about to allow establishment of OPERATIONAL BASES for use in attacks on the US..
China Inc. Hong Kong Banks operate in the Virgin Islands, Caymen Islands and Aruba … and are LEGALLY linked to China Inc. and US Banks inside the US.
Canada is a threat via their china Inc connections as well as their EU connection.
There is much more happening that eliminating NARCO-Cartel Boats and assets … there are real live threats established inside the Americas aimed at the sovereignty of the US.
There is much more involved that the Hormuz Straights vs Iran. Iran is the current proxy nation of choice by our enemies and adversaries (foreign and domestic).
It seems the tide may be turning in South-Central America with a long ways to go … and battle is just starting with Canada.
Rubio has done an outstanding job from day 1. Excellent choice by Trump.
I wonder if Spain’s media is covering any of this? Given their govt corruption that was exposed in Cueta, perhaps the Spanish citizens can also learn from Marco.
Rubio continues to impress. My fear is that there’s no way for Vance to play second fiddle again and so Vance and Rubio will be pitted against each other to the detriment of the nation. Divided we fall.
My opinion in outlook is that Rubio is flat out brilliant at Sec of State. It is an immensely consequential office when taken up by those of long view. JQ Adams created Monroe Doctrine, settled inclusion of Florida, & avoided war. WH Seward kept Europe out of the Civil War, gained Alaska, & set the stage for strength across the Pacific.
Rubio is working on Western Hemisphere. Imagine the long gains possible, if after yet more years at Sec of State, there is a unified governmental principle of democratic republics committed to opposing the dangers of ChiComs and Islam upon which the Hemisphere is united.
He is uniquely suited to such a task. Worth an effort – JMO.
Ted Cruz will play a spoiler role.
Could have been a Supreme Court Justice if he showed respect to Trump at the Republican Convention back when.

Candidate for president, Ted Cruz, said way back in 2016 that the violent attacks on people going to and from Trump rallies was the fault of the words the candidate Donald Trump spoke.
Yes, Cruz opined that Trump’s peaceful speech incited lefties to have to commit violence against, harass, spit upon, and threaten the free assembly of Americans to hear the words of a political candidate.
I do not want a man who ignores Freedom of Assembly, Freedom of Speech, and Freedom to walk on a public sidewalk w/o being assaulted, and is willing to twist the Truth in order to “play politics” and garner anti-Trump votes.
Cruz was willing to do all of that in order to win the presidency. That is a snake in my book.

Vance is question mark to me and has been from the beginning. His flip flop on Trump support was my first hhmm. He won’t disavow Tucker latest anti Trump rhetoric. He’s too stiff/polished. Who is pulling his strings? I’m pulling for Marco. He’s genuine. Vance, not so much.
Vance has always seemed to me to be to be a created politician. Not unlike a Kenyan who’s still trying to destroy the nation
