Way too much. For those who work and get a paycheck – do the math. How much of your hard work is confiscated by the federal government? What’s the percentage? Now add in what they steal for social security and medicare.
If you live in a state that confiscates states taxes, add that in. What’s that percentage? When you get to the end, many will discover that half of their hard work is stolen by government.
And that’s before you even factor in what they steal in property taxes on your house – a house you don’t really own by the way, as they will confiscate it if you don’t pay their property tax/extortion demands.

Tax freedom day for every state. It’s when you have paid all your taxes federal, state and other taxes in your state and you get to start keeping the money you earn.

In Wisconsin where I live it is April 16th, you have to work 106 days to pay all your taxes. Or approximately 30% of the year.
Connecticut is the worst with 122 days, Mississipi is the best with 85 days to pay all your taxes for a year.

Other discretionary spending, mandatory spending, healthcare, social security and interest are the problems in order.
Other discretionary spending is the problem and could certainly be reduced. Obummercare and Reagan’s (EMTALA) are the healthcare problems.
Social Security and Medicare are but should not be the problem, but Congress has stolen from and mismanaged both programs until they now are a problem.
Reduce the National Debt by reducing the other spending and growing the economy and the debt interest spending gets reduced dramatically.

68, clear and humdity at 92% in Kankakee.
92% humidity just sounds uncomfortable no matter the temperature.
Currently 85° with 69% humidity at supper time.
We have had a very humid summer, overall…yes, very uncomfortable!
We had a brief respite from the humidity yesterday afternoon (50%) but back to 90% this morning. Better is coming as it is suppose to drop off to the 40’s this afternoon. I think we will see high humidity overnight and morning for a few more days and then they should be gone.

My younger daughter with her 3+1 (first child followed in quick succession by triplets) started reading to them verrrry early. These adored it and soon were reading themselves. Fondest photos include them all sitting in their pajamas each engrossed in their books.
When they moved, she very cleverly decorated the door to an out of the way room as if it were the wardrobe door to Narnia. And it was there they repaired to do what they loved best…read. At least until after school activities and sports supplanted it.
Any free time they have now, they return to reading. But their foundation is secured and will serve them all well for the future.
Amen, Betsy! My 7 year old twin granddaughters are being homeschooled by their school teacher mom. My wife is a retired educator. We have read to the twins since they were small tots. They love it and we love participating in their education, minus the liberal, woke indoctrination forced on so many young children today. Building a solid foundation early is key to their future success and wellbeing and it will pay dividends the rest of their lives!

So Ken Paxton’s case for voting his way is telling people if we lose Texas, we lose America. That’s your pitch? Seems weak and pathetic to me. Why is it that GOP seats are always at-risk and always mean “losing America”, but democrat seats are never in-play unless the democrats do something stupid and install a really crazy candidate? Even then, they still win and those seats never go back to the GOP. Look at Ossoff and Warnock in GA. Both are reprobate morons and they have senate seats for life now. The GA GOP isn’t flipping either of those seats.
Paxton presents as a guy that either thinks Trump will drag him across the finish line or a guy that is not too interested in putting in the work to win. He’s not gonna get any help from the GOP, but he knew that ahead of time and so did Trump when he endorsed him. Now his pitch is if we lose TX we lose America? Pathetic. How about taking back Georgia and North Carolina and Wisconsin and Arizona from all of these nut job democrats. Why is the GOP always on defense?

I watched Connor Lamb (ex-House Rep from Allegheny County, PA) run the exact same campaign to steal his seat in 2018, in DNC gerrymandered PA district … while I was providing in home care for my parents in PA.
It also does not help that Governor Abbott has not yet even endorsed Paxton nor mentioned him in any of his adds as doing a great job as TX-AG. Then there is Ted Cruz who has been silent as well. Kind of hard for Paxton to gain traction touting his capabilities and record when even his REPUBLICAN Boss and the other TX-Senator will not endorse nor even mention his name.
Interesting NOBODY on the GOP side has once mentioned Talarico’s disastrous voting career in TX Legislature nor REPLAYED any of his DEI and Anti-Christian Pod Casts.
$10 million dollars is chicken feed in the TV ADD wars of political campaign, espcially when Talarico is bank rolled with no limit by out of state donors … and the DNC Controlled Beto O’Rourke “Campaign” Slush Fund of $75 Million, that still exists.
Even President Trump’s and Musk’s pockets are not that deep to counter the funds available to Talarico. So, Paxton’s campaign will have to make due, which is the plain truth of the situation.
Hopefully those Paxton adds, if they emerge, effectively uses the money he does receive wisely and mentions some of this stuff.

Well, if you confront them… they will tell you their name. But unless you PRAY and Believe in Jesus Christ (Trinity stuff)… don’t ask who they are, … I don’t want to scare you. But ALL MYSTIC’S know this. Tons of books over the centuries talk about this, … but in Novel Format. And some artists/writers/painters see/hear these beings. So they had to hide this because it was not considered wise to know their “names”. Jesus would ask them their NAMES … and cast them out of the human. Well, times are changing, so CHRIST saved me from those “thoughts/beings”. That is why I call Christ my saviour, because only the Christ would speak in my HEART! That was maybe 10-15 years ago, it happened in 2 different stages. Interesting story. Maybe another time.
The prayer I gave at top … currently works for me, and it will work for you, because you don’t need to hear any voice from the inner planes… you say the prayer … BE SILENT … then watch what happens during the day. You can chat with GOD about issues you have, BUT UNDER NO Circumstances “TELL GOD … what GOD should do for you.” Please don’t make GOD your personal servant! … ask ONLY that GOD’S WILL BE DONE … in all matters … and be Given GOD POWER to DO only GOD’S WILL! Do this many times a day, every single day … make it a habit. Info you get will be different info that what I get. Hard to believe but GOD ALMIGHTY flows through Tillions of beings at same time, … “beings KNOW GOD’S WILL … You have to pray to LOVING, WISE, GENTLE , ALL-POWERFUL GOD, and not the angry, vengeful, hateful one who you want to punish people/places/things that piss off your ego.
Some people , will LISTEN, but don’t worry, you will get this message from lots of places … if you OPEN your eyes and ears. Pray something like what I wrote, and MIRACLES will happen in your life, but also, many people … might not be into GOD’S WILL … and don’t fight those people, just let them go, or they will let you go.
