Chinese Chairman Xi Jinping wanted to emphasize history and determination when he took President Donald Trump on a tour of the Temple of Heaven in Beijing, China. The temple was used by Chinese Emperors in the Ming and Qing dynasties where the rulers would pray for abundant harvests, good weather and good fortune for the people of China. Apparently, Chairman Xi wanted to send a message that rulers of China follow a mandate that is in alignment with spiritual divinity.
It is a rather ironic view of stewardship considering that religion is subject to strict government regulation in communist China. The Chinese government officially recognizes five religions: Buddhism, Catholicism, Islam, Protestantism, and Daoism; however, the practice of each religion must follow communist rules and be in alignment with all CCP dictates. Within China, this is known as “sinicization,” a requirement that all religious groups must adapt their beliefs and practices to align with Chinese culture and the Communist Party’s ideology.
The Temple of Heaven is near Tiananmen Square, and the most famous temple in Beijing. Originally built along with the Forbidden City in the early 1400s the temple is also near the royal palace that President Trump and Chairman Xi toured with their spouses in 2017. Video Below:

That has always been how rulers treat religion, if they can.
Sometimes religion has too much power to let that happen.
And the US is unique in that aspect. Our constitution protects the freedom to meet, speak, write, and teach about God, but prohibits the government from limiting those aspects as people seek God

The United States of America was founded on the Laws of Nature and of Nature’s God. Put another way, God’s Law as revealed in nature (which God created) and God’s Law as given to us in His Holy Bible (Divine Revelation).
God gives all people as individuals His liberty to live and interact with each other within the boundaries established by His Law.
God expects governments to act within those same boundaries and to protect our individual God given liberty. America was founded as a nation that would operate under the Perfect Hierarchy-God is over man and man is over government.
Communist China subordinates all religions to the dictates of The Party. For Christians, that means The Party dictates what parts of the Bible we may follow and what parts must be ignored. China operates under a blasphemous hierarchy which states that there is no god, the government (under Communist Party control) is all powerful and the people will do as they are told. That is “sinicization.”
We can never be “friends” with China. Our cultures and our worldviews are diametrically opposed.
We can be polite and respectful to China, but we must never forget that the incompatibility of our worldviews makes us natural enemies.
I pray that God gives President Trump the wisdom of Solomon as he meets with the Communist Chinese.
