Chinese Chairman Xi Jinping wanted to emphasize history and determination when he took President Donald Trump on a tour of the Temple of Heaven in Beijing, China. The temple was used by Chinese Emperors in the Ming and Qing dynasties where the rulers would pray for abundant harvests, good weather and good fortune for the people of China. Apparently, Chairman Xi wanted to send a message that rulers of China follow a mandate that is in alignment with spiritual divinity.
It is a rather ironic view of stewardship considering that religion is subject to strict government regulation in communist China. The Chinese government officially recognizes five religions: Buddhism, Catholicism, Islam, Protestantism, and Daoism; however, the practice of each religion must follow communist rules and be in alignment with all CCP dictates. Within China, this is known as “sinicization,” a requirement that all religious groups must adapt their beliefs and practices to align with Chinese culture and the Communist Party’s ideology.
The Temple of Heaven is near Tiananmen Square, and the most famous temple in Beijing. Originally built along with the Forbidden City in the early 1400s the temple is also near the royal palace that President Trump and Chairman Xi toured with their spouses in 2017. Video Below:

No words can express my immense admiration for Donald J. Trump.

Little Baptist church I attended on Boca Grande Island, FL supported several missionaries in China and they were always subject to arrest. And they were arrested but I’m not sure how long they were kept or what happened to them.

I’m sure that a desire for abundant crops (food) and good fortune are very foremost in Xi’s mind right now — China is rather reliant not only on energy inputs but also agricultural ones. The shut down of the Strait doesn’t just affect oil; one third or so of the world’s fertilizer transits through there.
The Chinese economy goes into a tailspin; the Chinese people don’t get enough to eat…Xi loses the Mandate of Heaven. China isn’t in as powerful a negotiation position as some fear. (but that doesn’t mean it’s in our interests to get overly aggressive with them either as some might want — that’s not in OUR best interests)
My understanding of the Mandate of Heaven is that leaders lose it when they do not properly look out for the welfare of all their people. I wonder if anyone will question Xi as to whether his days under the Mandate are numbered based on the persecutions reported throughout China.

God expects governments to act within those same boundaries and to protect our individual God given liberty. America was founded as a nation that would operate under the Perfect Hierarchy-God is over man and man is over government.
Communist China subordinates all religions to the dictates of The Party. For Christians, that means The Party dictates what parts of the Bible we may follow and what parts must be ignored. China operates under a blasphemous hierarchy which states that there is no god, the government (under Communist Party control) is all powerful and the people will do as they are told. We can never be “friends” with China. Our cultures and our worldviews are diametrically opposed.
We can be polite and respectful to China, but we must never forget that the incompatibility of our worldviews makes us natural enemies.

Yes but it depends on where PDJT decides to wear the belt line. At the time of that photo, he may have been wearing the belt line lower than originally when the pants were cut and hemmed. From my own personal experience, that affects the “fall” of the trouser legs.
Now if his trousers always appear this way then his tailor has to make those alterations based on where the President prefers to position his belt line. That’s my opinion based on having had this exact work down twenty-some years ago on dress trousers I wore when my quartet was performing on stage in public.

There are millions of Christians in China, but I am almost certain that Chinese who built the Chinese Temple of Heaven had nothing to with Christianity and had no concept of heaven in Christian terms.
What might be interesting is how the concept of heaven arises out of Chinese culture.
