In the economic competition, Canada faces the biggest vulnerability, as its entire system of investment, banking, and production relies heavily on maintaining trade preferences that benefit from the $30 trillion U.S. economy. Had a friend whose dad was sick and the hospital kept asking if he wanted MAID (medical assistance in dying), and when he said no, they tried to talk the man into exploratory surgery to find cancer, to which he said no (he simply had pnuemonia).
