Folks, it’s quite an article written by EU Politico as they outline how each of the leaders from the nation states are now discussing how vulnerable they are to the changed oil/gas environment with the mid east conflict ongoing. The entire energy sector in Europe is now in crisis mode with leaders predicting it will get much worse within days, not weeks.

Post covid, I had a relative visiting for Europe. He was curious about the logging trucks running up and down the road in front of my house loaded with hardwoods. I told him it was odd because, even though this is a logging area, everything was shutting down with the economy as intended.
He did some research when back home and reported back to me that the Netherlands had shut down most of its natural gas plants and was converting to wood burning!!?? Mills here in NC were getting huge $$s pelletizing hardwood trees and shipping overseas, more than they could get for milled hardwood lumber in the US.
So environmentally friendly, cutting all the trees to burn.

There are two prices for crude oil: Brent and Texas. It used to be that they traded within a dollar or so of each other – for decades. Now, suddenly and conveniently, Texas is trading $8 to $10 a barrel less than Brent. Guess which one is sold in the US versus the one sold in Asia and Europe. America’s gas price is still below Autopen’s prices. It will drop back to Trump normal in time for the midterms. In Europe and Asia, not so much.
