Joe Kent, the director of the National Counterterrorism Center, has announced his resignation. Director Kent outlines his decision as driven by opposition to the war against Iran.
Kent, a senior deputy to Director of National intelligence Tulsi Gabbard posted his resignation letter on the X platform, writing: “I cannot in good conscience support the ongoing war in Iran.” … “Iran posed no imminent threat to our nation, and it is clear that we started this war due to pressure from Israel and its powerful American lobby.”

This is quite a remarkable development. Director Joe Kent’s full resignation letter is below, and out of an abundance of caution I prefer to await to see how President Trump and/or Tulsi Gabbard responds.
Unfortunately, one of the consequences of this very public resignation is going to be fuel upon the fire of division surrounding the issue of Israeli influence inside the Trump administration.

Imminent means harder to deal with than before it was imminent. Any of the previous Presidents would have had an easier time ending the threat. Come June-July timeframe is when the political ops will go full force trying to influence midterms. Most 18 to 35 year old males don’t pay attention to politics, they are busy doing other things in March. Hispanic men are very machismo oriented and even though most have no clue about Iran they support military action as long as it is successful. If, as Trump has hinted, Cuba falls soon then the Hispanic vote is the GOP’s for the near term especially in places like Florida.

After all it’s very apparent that the EU and neocons are hell bent in driving Western Europe with the US in the back seat toward an actual war, with the potential deployment of nuclear weapons, against Russia when Russia through their actions view Ukraine as a regional conflict. Iran, on the other hand, have voiced their intentions to destroy “The Great Satan”, the US, and Israel for over approximately 50 years. To that end, Iran’s primary concept of nuclear energy is to create nuclear weapons. And since Iran is the main financier of terrorism one can easily see the disastrous consequences. As such Iran is not a war but the calculated destruction of weapons, delivery platforms and the infrastructure that produces them with minimal collateral damage. But Mr. Kent’s concern seems to coincide with the upcoming midterms. A little insider POTUS Trump bashing for the Dems, RINOs, neocons and globalists at an opportune time.

Interesting comments. Joe Kent has a right to his conscience and unfortunately has eaten from the tree of anti-Israelism. I have been encouraged by the rapport between US and Israeli servicemen and women. May God protect the USA and Israel.
I respect Director Kent as a war hero because he ‘walked the walk’ in combat…but is he also a strategic thinker with the all the information at hand to unilaterally decide that Iran “…posed no imminent threat to our nation?”
What does “imminent” mean? One year? Five years before the mullahs were ready to blow us to hell?
Would Kent still hold that view when the first nuclear warhead explodes above a major U.S. city?
Iran was working toward that capability and, more importantly, that was also the mullahs intent!

He’s from the state of Washington. There is a large number of democrats including Marxists and other far left Democrats who live there. He apparently lost his bid for Congress twice to a democrat. I do not know if he’s running again, but if so, his past experience could be leading him to see “no reason” for the war in Iran. The democrat party is a puppet organization for the City of London. The City of London is doing everything they can to oppose President Trump.
To say that Iran posed no threat to the United States is to ignore their rapid advancement towards a nuclear weapon and to ignore the depth and strength of their ballistic missile program. Anyone in the armed services is likely aware of the adversaries of the United States such as Iran, and what makes them dangerous to us.
So Mr. Kent has shown that he is willing to ignore national security concerns in order to appeal to an interest group that is anti-American.
In addition, as Director of the National Counter intelligence Center, he should be aware of the threats to President Trump due to assassination attempts paid for by Iran.
Thus Mr. Kent is a liar and, as if all of the above isn’t enough, he’s using his political position to divide MAGA rather than strengthen MAGA.
