Joe Kent, the director of the National Counterterrorism Center, has announced his resignation. Director Kent outlines his decision as driven by opposition to the war against Iran.
Kent, a senior deputy to Director of National intelligence Tulsi Gabbard posted his resignation letter on the X platform, writing: “I cannot in good conscience support the ongoing war in Iran.” … “Iran posed no imminent threat to our nation, and it is clear that we started this war due to pressure from Israel and its powerful American lobby.”
[SOURCE]
This is quite a remarkable development. Director Joe Kent’s full resignation letter is below, and out of an abundance of caution I prefer to await to see how President Trump and/or Tulsi Gabbard responds.
Unfortunately, one of the consequences of this very public resignation is going to be fuel upon the fire of division surrounding the issue of Israeli influence inside the Trump administration.
Ugh!
PRO TIP: Watch closely how JD Vance reacts.
September 1, 2021 – President Donald Trump previously said this:
“Joe Kent is a retired Green Beret and Gold Star husband running against RINO and incompetent Congresswoman Jaime Herrera Beutler in the 3rd District of the State of Washington. Joe served his country proudly for many years and understands the tremendous cost of America’s wars in the Middle East, and elsewhere. In Congress, Joe will be a warrior for the America First agenda, unlike Jaime Herrera Beutler who voted, despite the facts, against the Republican Party and for the Democrats’ Impeachment Scam.”
“Joe Kent is strong on Crime and the Border, loves our Military and our Vets, and will protect our Second Amendment, which is under siege. I met Joe at Dover Air Force Base on the evening that his wife was being brought back from the Middle East, where she had been killed in combat. It was a very sad moment in Joe’s life, but I was incredibly impressed with him and told him that he should someday run for office—we need his voice and leadership in Washington, D.C. Now he is running, and Joe Kent has my Complete and Total Endorsement!”

So Joe Kent has been leaking to the podcaster community AND, he’s scheduled to be interviewed by Tucker Carlson next week?
LOL
Honorable man my ass.
Alexander Vindman all over again with Joe Kent!
Is he related to Ambassador (Ukraine) George P. Kent who testified against PDJT in the first Impeachment hearing?
Dead on! CIA OP.
Kent was probably leaking to Tucker while Tucker was feeding intelligence to Iran. The intel convinced Iran that they weren’t going to be hit. Now Kent has to run to Sucker Tucker for cover.
U.S. Intelligence has been listening to Tucker. IF Joe Kent was sharing unsharable intel with him, we will find out.
Let’s see if he goes on the Sunday news shows and CNN and BSNOW to trash the President as these others have.
“Breaking News: Joe Kent will now be speaking at the Catholics for Catholics convention in Washington DC alongside: Candace Owens & Carrie Prejean Boller.
Something isn’t right…”
Whoever is paying them, the goal is divide and conquer.
Smells like psyop ear whispering, “deep throat” trying to feed false facts to people who are already on the wacko side.
Exactly!
I’d be looking at Neville Singham…
I am Catholic and would have nothing to do with this group, they are hiding behind the name.
This has CIA written all over it. And Tucker is CIA, always has been.
And Candice Owen’s on Thursday. Not coordinated at all — 😉
If he was a known leaker, months ago, the guy should have been thrown in Leavenworth to await his trial for treason.
I’m almost nostalgic for the days when a resignation meant simply sending a private communication or email to HR, not today’s equivalent of splashing the announcement in the local paper.
The “show” has the aroma of trumping the declared principle.
J
Maybe Kent chose this public way to resign to forestall the enemedia from false reporting on the reason he left?
False reporting? lol They will gleefully run with the declared reason. No, he made a spectacle on the way out and tried to embarrass the administration.. I’m sure that Paul Ryan is considering him for a Fox gig even now.
If your “principles” don’t speak for themselves, but need to be trumpeted to millions of others who otherwise might not even know your name, then I suspect that the proclamation of them is merely a smokescreen for your real reasons.
J
Notice these kinds of public “resignations” only happen with President Trump. Its fuel for the fires.
“Trump” caught off guard; “Trump” unaware; “Trump” isolated; “Trump” out of his mind: “Trump” need to be 25th; And of course “the worst scandal in any administration since Watergate”.
Next up, joe kent and marjorie taylor greene tour featuring john bolton and scott ritter.
Michael Tracey
@mtracey
Joe Kent blamed the Oct. 7 attack on Biden’s insufficiently hostile policy toward Iran, attacked his Dem opponent for failing to punish “anti-Semitism,” and pledged that if elected, he would make sure to generously arm Israel. Now he blames Israel for corrupting US foreign policy
Cont…
He sounds an awful like Marjorie Traitor Green.
Did his government pension vest before he “resigned” too?
Yup… MTG with one of the highest conservative voting records in Congress!!! A great loss!!!
You mean the same Marjorie who’s now marching in lockstep with Code Pink? People change.
J
This guy is just like Tucker, Kelly, or Owens… Follow the money. These grifters are all for sale.
“How much soft money can I expect to collect in exchange for my core values?”
I must say that I like Fetterman more and more each day.
His voting record???
He is against the SAVE ACT by the way.
We’ll see what happens. He’s a Dem alright. But at least he is honest.
I believe you’re mistaken.
He’s an honest man. And not scared.
What an inspiration to all of our soldiers….. he and mark kelly. 🫤🥴
Kent should have waited until Festivus to air his grievances.

Excerpt:
This is Joe Kent’s current wife, an employee of former Hezbollah and RT (Russia) propagandist @MaxBlumenthal…who just was platformed by Dugin-linked Aleksander Dugin…..
Snip
….Max Blumenthal, meanwhile, worked directly for Hezbollah’s propaganda machine, Al Akbar…later for Al Jazeera and RT.
Not exactly an individual who wartime Veterans want association with…aside from Joe Kent’s current partner, it seems.
https://threadreaderapp.com/thread/2033930471361421679.html
And that wacko Max Blumenthal’s father is… Sidney Blumenthal. Of course.
There ya go!
It’s always the wives!
Aleksander Dugin… Again?
This just got dark.
Remarkable how many comments this piece generated in comparison to today’s other posts.
Some are informative, I am thankful for the comments with receipts.
Sundance I hope you will keep us apprised of VP’s reaction.
People tend to take notice of a knife between the shoulder blades.
By the way, I just heard his resignation letter read on air and I’m pretty sure I heard plaigarism straight from earlier statements from Tucker.
Not even original.

@EricLDaugh
🚨 BREAKING: CNN was just FORCED to report that nearly 90% of the MAGA base SUPPORTS President Trump’s military campaign against Iran
“MAGA GOP…look at this! Nearly 9 in 10, 89% APPROVE!”
“Just 9% disapprove of it. This is TREMENDOUSLY popular among the Republican base.” 🇺🇸
Video linked….
wherein if you didn’t think iran was an imminent threat, you are not counted as “maga.”
patently silly way to run a poll, but if thats what you wish to hang your hat on, we should have no issues in november!
Keep trying.
He will without fail.
One of the mandates the legal voting majority sent to The President was no more foreign wars and we meant it. We stand with Erik Prince and Joe Kent on this manufactured, costly war when there was no provoked aggression.
This administration could have gifted every legal American 1 million dollars instead of initiating a war with Iran. War pig graham and the usual suspects convinced a sitting president that going to war w Iran was the right thing to do…
Trump started no war.
But he is ending one Iran started 47 years ago.
Truth!!!! Thank you 🇺🇸💥🦅✝️
Without the total destruction of any US cities by Iranian nuclear weapons. I cannot estimate what it would cost to clean up one city and rebuild it.
Many of us also voted for POTUS, and fully support the elimination of the threat that Iran has posed to the region.
Who’s that “we” you’re talking about?
The mandate was to stop illegal aliens ir IOW to protect the country above all else. Getting rid of crazy regime seeking weapons of mass destruction and the tools of the London bankers and insurers seems like protecting the country to me.
(another suspicious moniker)
This isn’t even a “war” yet, not like the last several wars. No invasion, no “hearts and minds”, no “nation building”. And no lies like, “Saddam was behind 9/11”, or Saddam is close to getting nukes”, or “we are spreading democracy”.
All the intel Trump had on Iran has checked out. Plus, they made their motives crystal clear……to get nukes and hit Israel and the US the minute they could.
If that nonsense starts, like the 2003 Bush invasion of Iraq, then we will agree with you.
But it hasn’t. Donald Trump have Iran every last chance. He was 100% transparent and honest with them, and the rest of the world. They snubbed him like he was any of the presidents that preceded him. That was a mistake.
As of right now, Donald Trump’s pledge regarding wars is still intact.
It is not a war till CONgress votes on it…🖖🏻
You are obviously in that 9%, not the 89%. The assumption being that you are MAGA, which seems doubtful.
No provoked aggression? Are you seriously that deceived? You should read a little more.
After 47 years, his head has obviously been somewhere other than watching this enemy.
I do not consider a precision bombing campaign to be equivalent, in any way whatsoever, to the nation-building troops on the ground approaches taken in Iraq. Hilarious math you’ve used in the “$1 million to every American” statement, by the way.
Yep – seems kinda socialistic math to me, actually.
“I beg to differ, sir. We started a game we never got to finish. “Play For Blood” – remember?”
Just because Trump has the balls to take on the fight, doesn’t mean he started it.
If I’m not mistaken, that’s a quote from “Tombstone”.
It certainly is.
LOL, I’d rather they spend it bombing Islamist terrorists into a pile of ashes than on illegal aliens, medicaid fraud and Ukraine money laundering.
What kinda” Math “, are you smoking????
Dr Evil math?
President Trump didn’t have the facts when he was elected. Sometimes facts take precedence over your word when you find that keeping your word means a future of death for many Americans. Rather have a president that sees the facts and acts to one who passes the buck.
I had no idea this bombing campaign cost us 345+ trillion dollars. Perhaps this is a result of the neu-math in our current education system.
🤣! Good catch….
No provoked aggression? The Iranian negotiator started by saying that they have enough nuclear material to produce 10 nuclear bombs in 2 weeks. That’s like your neighbor telling you he owns a cannon and intends to point it at your house. Do you wait till the neighbor levels your house (with everyone in it) to decide they’re being aggressive?
Iran has been nothing but provoked aggression since 1979! The difference is that Pres Trump has the balls to say NO. Every other coward rolled out the checkbook. Paying the bully NEVER results in the bully backing away. Never.
Exactly should have been turned to dust in ‘79. Carter weak sauce all around and his handlers.
Yes, let’s just ignore Iran’s boast about having ready access to multiple nuclear weapons.
Why do you call this Iran bombing practice a war? Are you saying we’ve lost thousands of American troops to combat? Have we exceeded the number of troops killed and wounded in 8 days in Grenada. Spare me the hysterical “the sky is falling, the sky is falling” let the Iranians leadership not saying it but die while doing so.
Really? $1,000,000 to each of the 340,000,000 legal Americans alive right now? And where would this $340 trillion dollars come from?
That’s how you know he’s a leftist – he can’t do math.
You would have waited for the provoked aggression that would probably have been a nuclear warhead and countless deaths. You must be a Democrat.
If the intel, which President Trump is privy to, (unlike you, Erik Prince, and Joe Kent who we now know also didn’t have access to it), prompted him to act, so be it.
This world cannot have religious zealots, who’s sole aim is to conquer the west, and have all of us submit to their jihad or face death, possess even the possibility of any sort of nuclear matter, refinement, or arms. Period. End of story.
And as far as gifting every legal American 1 millions dollars, why don’t you ask Biden, Waltz, Newsome and the rest of those grifters, why THEY didn’t do that, instead of allowing all these third world squatters, who they illegally let into this country, to defraud our Federal coffers by the hundreds of billions? Just sayin’.
“We”?
Please do not take it upon yourself to speak for me.
Thank you for your attention to this matter.
I did a little digging into Joe Kent’s background. He’s been a Democrat then a Libertarian and finally a Republican since 2021. I found that interesting. So who knows what he really feels about Trump.
He’s spent a lot of time in the service and his first wife Shannon Smith died in the Manbij Bombing which the Islamic State of Iraq claimed as theirs. He was the mother of his two children. On a gut level he knows how dangerous radical Islam is.
He’s playing a dangerous game.
and noting: counter intelligence WORK by its very nature demands that a person have not just be bright, but more importantly steadfast loyal and committed to a particular political doctrine which is
I WORK FOR THE PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES AND MY MISSION IS TO SECURE IN EVERY WAY POSSIBLE THE SECURITY OF THE UNITED STATES.
a person not believing in God, bouncing around between three political parties and his associations and relationships with some rather dodgy people SHOULD have been determined as a security risk before taking this role.
And maybe that’s the bigger lesson here. It was the FBI responsibility to compile all the records of people who serve in this incredibly important and powerful roles. A failure to notice these things, tells me more and more about the credibility and also the objectives of the FBI in this and many other instances.
like for instance. how I could it ever be possible that a Chinese spy was feinsteins personal “driver” for almost 30 years and no one knew about it? How was it possible that swallows well had a romantic relationship with fang fang, a woman literally named out of a James bond spy movie, and no one noticed?
which again takes me back to the KIND OF WORK done in a counter intelligence division. They job demands the person NEVER EVER lose sight of the primary mission…US FIRST. PERFORM THE TASKS AND POLICIES OF THE PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES. It would be very easy for someone to “get lost” if they do not have that kind of commitment, because again, the actual job of counter intelligence means you are doing things, knowing things, some real, some fake and intentionally false, to secure the nation against very real threats. it’s not something most people understand. It requires a person of impeccable integrity and judgement.
so we really have to ask the question: how was it possible that Kent was even allowed to park near the building much less work inside?
God Bless America
> So who knows what he really feels about Trump.
I think now – we all do.
He’s come out as a neverTrumper.
Stupider group of people doesn’t exist anywhere on Earth.
As far as I am concerned, PDJT has earned a massive amount of goodwill and benefit of the doubt regarding Iran. I elected him on a wide variety of issues, and always with the understanding of leadership that circumstances sometimes force one to act contrary to ones preferences and inclinations.
In the end, results matter more than theory. If we successfully remove Iran as a source of terrorism in the world it was a good choice. If it turns into another middle east quagmire it was a bad choice. It is too early to jump on the “Trump betrayed us” bandwagon. At this point, that bandwagon is just a cardboard cutout of a bandwagon taped onto a TDS Yugo.
anyone over the age of 25 AND SOBER, knows the caliphate is very real and the threat of the nuclear program in Iran will have devastating consequences to not ONLY ISRAEL BUT TO EVERYONE IN THE REGION< INCLUDING US FORCES.
those who would pretend, ah man, they was just talking smack are completely dumb or pretending to not know certain things.
we also have to realize also there are people here at CTH who were never really for President Trump. They jumped on the bandwagon because they hated Hillary, hated Obama, hated biden. And frankly those are not good enough reasons to actually BE MAGA> We are so much more than just that. We can talk and discuss opinions here at CTH in areas that very few other websites allow and permit. And I think this is a very very good decision from OUR HOST, SUNDANCE. But this also means we don’t have to agree on everything and probably should be critical of extreme opinions.
I find the opinion that the US has not interest in leveling the Iranian threat, an extreme position.
I am sober, over 25 years old and I voted for President Trump to make MY COUNTRY SAFE. And if you don’t understand the threat of the caliphate, not willing to even discuss or learn about it, then your opinions are without any basis on real world facts.
That is how I see it. If we want to discuss the best way to destroy the caliphate, lets do that, but please everyone, please stop trying to come up with reasons why we now withdraw support of our President who has done the very best possible job of removing this threat which I will remind is still ongoing. If that is a deal maker for you, this successful effort to delete the caliphate’s head of the snake and its death cult military leadership, then I encourage you to move to the other side and vote for the kinds of people who think like you do. I am sure you are aware the US has plenty of political candidates who think just like you do. Good luck with that. I will fight against your vote in every way possible. You don’t get to make this country unsafe against the caliphate. That is never going to be allowed.. Not on my watch.
God Bless America
Joseph Clay Kent served in the United States Army from 1998 to 2018, completing 11 combat deployments across conflicts in Iraq, Yemen, and North Africa. He enlisted at age 17 in the 75th Ranger Regiment, later qualifying for the Army Special Forces (Green Berets). Over his 20-year military career, he attained the rank of Chief Warrant Officer.
Kent served in key units including the Intelligence Support Activity and the Special Activities Center, participating in the First Battle of Fallujah during the Iraq War. After retiring from the Army in 2018, he became a paramilitary officer with the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA), operating in high-risk counterterrorism roles.
His military honors include multiple Bronze Stars, with some sources citing six awards for combat service.
His experience in special operations and intelligence shaped his later roles in national security leadership.
sounds like the ideal resume to spy on a sitting president……….
Never confuse battlefield courage with integrity of character. Two different animals. Benedict Arnold comes to mind.
What a waste.
I sent this guy a teensy donation when he was running for Congress, and was pleased when PDJT brought him on board.
I think in future I’ll try to find out who these people’s spouses are before sending any donations!
Don’t care. Look at John McCain.
In the Commonwealth of VA we have a marine combat veteran whose main goals have been to ban and confiscate guns in Virginia and destroy VMI because they aren’t communist like all the other state universities.
Look at the scumbag Dan Crenshaw who actively worked with Liz Cheney to try and remove Donald Trump from office – he got elected on an eye patch and combat experience.
Being a veteran means nothing as there are good vets and bad vets just like all groups of people. The communists and other scumbags actively recruit veterans to run for office because they know Americans trust them and are loathe to criticize them.
Judging by all the bots and comments in support of the dishonorable Joe Kent’s political hit…….
this was a well planned hit today in front of Tulsi Gabbard having to be in front of congress shortly. I smell the IC and Mark Warner’s grubby little minds.
if Trump lets them take out Gabbard, then he’s an idiot.
President Trump demands loyalty but in return is a fierce defender of his people. Tulsi has been under attack since day one and this is the IC trying to take her out because she holds the evidence of election fraud…..and who is implicated in election fraud? The IC that’s who, they even have their own “tools” in office like Spanberger.
That’s exactly what this all is.
Once you see the strings…
Interesting take, notable that the Ukrainian “revolution” and subsequent death and destruction under “suspended” no elections leader, the withdrawal from Afghanistan leaving people, hardware, fully operational military base and reputations in the dust of east Asia, garners nary a peep, let alone “principle resignation (s)” under Biden, Milley and part time, parts unknown Austin?
Today with trained up, fully equipped armed forces performing near flawlessly. Venezuela, soon Cuba and the paper tiger of NATO exposed. Strange times indeed.
Leaker extraordinaire
Joe Kent did a rage-quit with the intent to inflict as much damage as possible in the process.
So what?
I am sure they have an empty stool at his local AmVets or VFW where he can find sycophants.
Or more likely some Bankster will hire him on.
What a tool.
He should have exited quietly with discretion. He chose to make it about his insignificant virtue even though he has supported bombing the shit out of Iran before. The guy is either a full fledged traitor or a petty bureaucrat who failed at punching above his weight.
Or an MKUltra experiment.
His brain has obviously turned inside out on him.
Very sad.
sounds like a liberal to me, they always come out… he would have thousands of Americans killed/mutilated before even considering Iran a threat if then even. They’ve been spewing off at the mouth for 40 years ‘Death to America’, it’s put up or shut up time
I thought Joe Kent was looking into corruption. Guess he was just bluffing.
He was. He was looking for something within Trump’s Team to report as criminal to the deep-state. I guess they caught him first. There are more Joe Kents inside the Trump admin. Guaranteed.
The chattering class within the UniParty and the media are certainly having a field day with Joe Kent’s resignation.
We have no idea at this early stage what is true and what is BS, but the truth will eventually emerge.
I support what President Trump is doing with Iran. At the same time, I very much want to hear more from Joe Kent about his reasoning, and I want to hear from Tulsi Gabbard and President Trump.
We deserve calm, truthful explanations. This cannot be brushed aside.
“This cannot be brushed aside.”
Don’t think for one second it can’t. It will be. Just read some of the comments above you from some of your open minded friends. The deep state/IC/MIC has got a war going, they don’t want it stopped. We have seen this so many times, over and over again. The fact that it may be short (we’ll have to wait and see about that, it’s already gone far longer than Mr Trump indicated it would) is pretty insignificant, wars of aggression are not what Americans should do. Anyone remember Pearl Harbor? A date that will live in Infamy? Because of the Japanese sneak attack.? We just did the same to Iran while we had them at the negotiating table.
Marcus Aurelius you command of the facts is lacking, or if you do know them your twisting of them to fit a narrative is a very Democratic thing to do. Equating the Japanese sneak attack with our response to the negotiations with Iran is an unconscionable lie
ALL US force deployments and preparations were public knowledge, over the weeks, leading up to the start of Epic Fury.
The President made very clear his intentions v/v Iran if they persisted in their efforts to acquire Nuclear Weapons and Delivery Systems. The Iranians even suffered a strike against their facilities when they previously refused to negotiate with President Trump.
So .. where is the surprise part??
Donald Trump gave Iran every last chance to negotiate and act in good faith.
They deserved to be hit hard since 1979. It was long overdue.
They came to the table with “we’ve got enough nuclear material to hit you with in the next 10 days”.
After your enemy uses that kind of language, there is no such thing as a “sneak attack”.
Comparing this to Pearl Harbor is laughably misguided.
Just a smidge over 2 weeks is “far longer.”
😆
Of course it can. He’s insignificant and clearly compromised by his replacement wife’s ties to hardcore leftists and Clinton family friends/operatives the Blumenthals.
Him showing up to a conference with Candace, Tucker and the beauty queen who are part of the anti-Trump podcast movement tells you all you need to know.
The rest of the World has been complaining about the power Iran would have if Nuclear capable. Trump is recorded for years debating Iran’s World instability. Every Government just kicked the problem on to the next generation. Weak and feckless politicians.
Is he related to the old Art Kent??
Kent has committed political sooeycide.
Don’t be so sure. He will probably run as an Independent in some splitter race, getting his kickbacks in the process. Probably a book that gets ghostwritten for him. Ten thousand dollar-per-appearance on CNN / MSNBC, etc.
He has already run for federal office (Representative ) in S. Washington State, as a Republican, at least, twice. Although, he very likely won, he lost each time. Rank choice voting + Dominion machines = loser every time . My family gave him lotsa $$$ for his campaigns. Very sad to see that he’s gone the way of Jaime Herrera Butler.
Joe was in the Army and he said Iran doesn’t pose a threat to America ?
Hey Joe !
Does Beirut Lebanon ring a bell ?
USS Cole ?
NY bomber?
And on And on And on but coming from Washington St his brains has always been infected and I’d bet he is on the DS leash.
Loose lips sink ships by by.
Materials for 11-Nuclear Weapons the Iranians declared to have.
Negotiating for long range Inter-mediate and/or Continental ranged missiles. Testing and developing said missiles on their own, as well, with help from China Inc.
Clearly stating all the above are NOT Negotiable.
That alone is a threat .. and is the threat even leaders within the EU said needed to be stopped and turn coat politicians here in the US said needed to be destroyed.
I thought it was Freddie Mills the English professional boxer from the early 1950s?
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Freddie_Mills
Apologies in advance if someone already posted but here is Tulsi’s response on X:
https://x.com/DNIGabbard/status/2033989780116033948#m
CRAP……I just posted this again…….🙄🥴
Rush Limbaugh had a very astute observation several years ago. As he said, “Only President Trump can separate Donald J. Trump from his base.”
I don’t know if Joe Kent was a good guy or bad guy, RINO, etc. (I don’t think he was a RINO) – this situation is a bad look. Joe Kent, MTG, Massie, etc. are not going to be the ones to separate PDJT from his base. PDJT is also eroding his base…not due to any commentary from other politicians. The tone of Kent’s letter is “You are being deceived” rather than “You are making bad decisions…” and so I tend to believe the genuine intent of it.
Not when hours later Tucker reports he will interview Kent on Wednesday and almost minutes later it’s announced that he will be speaking at a Catholic prayer meeting with the usual suspects. I don’t believe there is an ounce of genuine intent in that resignation letter. There is something going on in the podcast world that doesn’t sit right with me and this is the first indication that it is spilling over into the broader political sphere. I don’t believe for a second that it is organic in nature.
You are probably nicer than me.
I thank Joe Kent for his service and especially his late wife.
So Kent leaked (if true) classified information to the media and knowingly put our troops lives at risk.
You can disagree with this operation but leaking classified information to the media is the ultimate betrayal to our military service members.
This public display by Joe Kent is a major red flag, plus running to evil and dumb Tucker Carlson for a fake interview?!?
The uniparty will never stop trying to destroy President Trump and the United States. God help us.
I’ve never seen an Intelligence officer resign with a resignation letter posted on social media. First initial reports that I saw labelled Joe Kent as a “leaker.” Then his past affiliation with Democrats and Libertarians was spread across social media.
Perhaps, this is a legitimate un-coupling by Kent, but I smell a trap. The NCTC was Obama’s pet project set up under the Federal Bureau of Investigation and if I were to bet, I’d bet that there are a lot of employees who need to be hung/fired in that particular department.
Perhaps removing Kent, allows legitimate “leakers” & Congress critters (Mark Warner) to be purged without destroying Joe Kent’s career.
If his replacement wife has ties to the Democrat operative Blumenthals, there’s no way he isn’t compromised and deeply entrenched in the deepstate.
What is the production time interval between 60%and 90% enrichment, and is that strong enough for Big Boom, iran was also producing blistex potentially capable of delivering to europe and maybe even the US, companion question concerns venezuela, did they find missiles or launchers in venezuela, because VZ was political buddy-palz with iran. Arab states are also sick of irans crap and they are well within range of irans missile strike range. The Trump admin is putting irans army out of business, which will also apparently include trips and phone calls to canada to find 700 IRGC people. Either do your JOB, or go home, buddy.
Here’s a possibility under which I could begin to agree more with the actions against Iran –
If the President were backed into a corner and had to do this, in order for Israel to pressure the Senators they have in their pocket into going along with passing the S.A.V.E. Act – I could see that trade being something that had to be done. It’s readily apparent and we all have known for some time the Senate is corrupt. Maybe a little foreign policy trade for domestic policy critical bill…
Joe Kent’s current wife, Heather Kaiser. Kaiser and Max Blumenthal are professional collaborators, primarily through his news outlet, The Grayzone. Blumenthal hinted Israeli forces were responsible for the majority of deaths during the October 7, 2023, attacks and publicly questioned reports of mass rape and beheaded babies, calling them “lurid allegations”. As for Heather, she is now an “artist”. Her “Artist Statement” includes: “My artwork explores trauma, moral injury and the lives of victims of warfare [and]to draw attention to the costs of war. ” Sad.
TULSI has chimed in…..
https://x.com/DNIGabbard/status/2033989780116033948
Thank you Tulsi!!!
Thought we were in talks with Iran about no nuclear they said no. (they have all the oil they need and more to produce electricity, really don’t need alternative energy) ???? There were demonstrations , hangings, executions. The world watched. The talks continued and mullahs told USofA to go pound sand. And we did. They still have not come back to the table have they? Kent doesn’t matter he wants empathy.
I don’t think empathy is quite the word for what he wants.
Fame and fortune and adulation by a big crowd.
The fact that the big crowd is a teensy one of nutjobs won’t be an issue.
Or he’s an idealogue – given who the replacement wife is his honesty is in great doubt.
Susie Wiles only allows certain voices to reach Trump. I do not trust her. She and Bondi are two peas in a pod. Noem was a disaster, Patel & Bongino useless, Hegseth is in over his head, Tulsi seems to have been sidelined and Vance is pussyfooting around to preserve his chance at the presidency.
We know Trump is surrounded by many people who do not wish him to succeed and/or are in it for their benefit–money or power. Many of these people were more than willing to run and hide or actively participate in so many deceptions against Trump–for instance during the J6 event, the 2020 election challenges, multiple impeachments, the russia hoax and so many more. Netanyahu threw Trump under the bus immediately when Biden supposedly won the election and I do not trust him.
We know the IC is a den of vipers with many more than willing to deceive Trump. At this moment I will give Kent the benefit of the doubt. I think he tried to get this info to Trump and was blocked. Perhaps this was the only way to get the message to Trump that not everyone is giving him honest, unbiased information about what is best for the USA. I don’t think we are getting honest information about the situation in Iran.
President Trump smoking out the weak links..again.
Mr. Kent’s truth???
“What is truth?”
It is either True, or it is a lie.
It cannot be your truth and his truth!
Trump’s reaction to Kent’s resignation was classic Trump–dunk on the guy, call him weak, say he was never that good. Fine. Then why keep him in a critical role in the first place? That’s on you, sir, same as appointing these two morons, Pam and Kash. It’s the same transparent, self serving move, protect the ego, shift blame, move on (and react with anger if people refuse to comply). I’m tired of this fairly transparent nonsense whose single purpose is to protect his ego. He tried the same stunt when Bondi and Kash botched the Epstein file release.
And no, Trump didn’t start the operation against Iran because of Israel. He doesn’t act out of loyalty or sentiment, and he’s not some evangelical Zionist. If anything, he’s barely religious. The Israel lobby doesn’t run him either, not even close. Compared to Gulf money and influence, they’re outmatched. Trump moves on self interest and ego. Always has. I know him from his early New York days.
So why do it? Because projecting power against a nasty but significantly weaker enemy is easy. It’s clean, visible, decisive. Much easier than dealing with entrenched D.C. bureaucrats and cowering, corrupt congressional Republicans who drag their feet. He doesn’t understand the machinery he’s up against, and worse, he keeps appointing substandard people who get played by it.
I’ve said this before: Trump’s utility isn’t persuasion or legislative work with the Congress. He can’t fix broken systems or restore trust. That’s not his skill set. He’s action first, think second. Always has been.
What he can do is break permission structures. That’s why the establishment hates him. He forces people to drop the act.
But here’s the problem: he can’t direct what comes next. He never made the case that DOJ and FBI are structurally corrupt and need to be rebuilt. Everything is crude, reactive, short term. He breaks things first, then sees what happens, then decides whether to pursue or drop it.
Take immigration. Yes, he tightened the border, for now. But where are the mass deportations? He backed off the moment resistance got messy. Instead of explaining the reality, unprecedented scale, organized opposition, and limits on manpower, he went quiet. No framing, no justification. And no, he didn’t bring in the National Guard to support ICE. Optics mattered more.
Trump provokes. He doesn’t plan.
And this is where the missing piece matters: the influencer war tearing apart the base isn’t random, or organic. Ever.
Some of it is financial, conflict drives engagement, engagement drives money. But some of it is clearly directed. Algorithm manipulation. Tucker is CIA. Always has been (yes, this is my opinion). He didn’t build trust by accident. He knows exactly what he’s doing, and when he pivots, it isn’t random. Kelly and the rest? Mostly self serving grifters chasing audience capture and revenue.
I understand Ben Shapiro and Mark Levin, again, don’t confuse this with me siding with them, they’re openly pro Israel. You know where they stand. It’s transparent. I don’t think they’re paid like Tucker or Kelly. Whether they balance that with U.S. interests is another question, but at least the motivation isn’t hidden.
Meanwhile, conservatives keep chasing distractions.
We’re not focused on our core priorities like gun rights. Not focused on replacing two aging Supreme Court justices while there’s still a window. Not focused on accountability for 2020, whatever one thinks of it, the lack of resolution invites repetition. No accountability for COVID overreach, surveillance, and censorship. We can’t even get voter ID across the line.
The judiciary is pushing beyond its constitutional lane, protecting the deep state bureaucratic and Democrat priorities. Where’s the response? Where’s the structural pushback? Nope, just whining…
And the dark money networks funding the resistance? Barely touched. Kash and Pam both are not smart enough and too obsessed with their personal affluence to go all in.
Even DOGE, what happened? Did it actually eliminate waste, or did it hit internal resistance and quietly stall?
These are the fights that matter. Not symbolic gestures. Not theatrics. That’s where the focus should be.
You know what? I’m good with Trump removing the mullahs from power in Iran, blowing their shit to smithereens, prohibiting a bunch of stone age religious zealots from getting a nuke, locking up Maduro, and freeing Cuba from the Commies. If he does nothing else, that’s a-ok with me. And it appears the remaining 90%of MAGA is fine with it as well.
You other 10% have always been the fickle pickles, who’ll turn on Trump on a dime.
I don’t disagree with this war, Kevin. I support the idea of targeting Iran’s radical Muslim clergy, which effectively holds 50 to 60 percent of the Iranian population, the vast majority of whom may be secular and/or not even Muslim, hostage. Same for Venezuela and Cuba.
I do dislike it, however, when Trump appoints unqualified or questionable people and then later claims he always knew they were weak or not good. That’s a pattern.
I also believe Trump initiated this war not to confront radical mullahs or prevent them from building a nuke or nukes, but as a distraction from his inability to implement conservative priorities at home.
I don’t want to lose in November to the domestic terrorists aka Democrats here at home and go through impeachment theatrics and other distractions. They will reverse everything Trump accomplished.
That said, I don’t believe these things are mutually exclusive.
This is March. The mid terms are in NOVEMBER. The average voter has the attention span of a rabbit. Even less so now, with the advent of garbage like TikTok. Knowing Trump, this will be in the rear view mirror long before fall.
I trust Trump. He will pivot when he needs to. Furthermore, we’re not privy to even a scintilla of the intel he has, so who are we to second guess him and his actions? We aren’t.
What I absolutely DO know is that he abhors war. He hates having our brave men and women in harm’s way and I have no doubt the man acted because he was left with no other choice.
And if you think for one second he started this to campaign to free the Persian people from their oppressors, (who thought nothing of slaughtering 32K peaceful protestors the week prior to this military intervention), and most importantly, prevent these religious zealots from getting a nuke, just to distract from national issues, then you haven’t been paying attention to how he really operates or who Trump really is.
Buh-bye! 👋
Classic Trump. I’m not defending Kent. But you simply cannot unsee the pattern.
If you don’t understand, Team Trump are preparing to take on the DS, which is why, for the last month or so, their hidden assets have been removed or forced to out themselves, Kent simply being the last one to be removed.
Well, I’ll be the happiest man alive if what you say turns out to be accurate. I mean it.
But hope isn’t a strategy, so excuse my skepticism. I no longer “trust the plan” until I see changes in the operative patterns. So far, I see none.
I think he and his wife were reckless, irresponsible parents. You can’t both be in the military with young kids because you can leave them orphans. Not to mention be deployed at the same time.
‘All out’, an aerial bombing campaign is not all out, so far it’s cost less than the Somalis have stolen from the American tax-payer and resulted in a small number of service personnel’s deaths.
What goal, what objective? Pretty obvious really, reversing the disastrous mistake’s of the equally disastrous Carter Presidency, compounded by the Clinton and Obama terms of office.
I can respect someone resigning and explaining why they cannot do the work of this President. Good, this is the proper way to deal with personal views that clash with the President and his policies.
What I do NOT respect are those who refuse to resign, but still hold the same views, who attempt to use their office and position as a means to act counter to the requirements that the job demands.
So I rather respect this resignation. It’s good to see it. Now, we should be asking why haven’t all the holdovers from Russia Russia and the Obama era actors not also resigning?
THAT should be a priority to root them out, and force them out.
Kent is just one of many thousands of bad actors who have every intention of aggravating and blocking the policies of the President. I will remind: we did not vote for these people. They should have absolutely no power or force to control any policy. The job is the effect the policies made by this President, like them or not.
A good example is to show how Rubio has done a remarkable job and understands perfectly his role in Government, under the leadership of President Trump. That is how a professional and honorable man behaves and conducts himself. FOR THE GOOD OF THE COUNTRY.
fact is, we have enemies in the wire and most of them are just simple cowards for not quitting, when we know they are just desk squatting looking for any excuse to refuse to do their jobs.

BREAKING: Joe Kent is expected to record a live episode of The Tucker Carlson Show on Wednesday, where he will elaborate on his opposition to the U.S.-Israel war in Iran – WaPo

That was quick….sure won’t be wasting time on this.
Of cour$e he will. Won’t be long before he has a podcast of his very own. It’s where all failed pols and wish-they-were-pols land. I’ve lived long enough to know Snakes are nothing if not predictable.
I know Joe … and he’s a good man, in spite of some of the opinions herein posted by folks who don’t know him. And I agree w/ him on most things — but — not this decision to resign or for the reasons he’s stated.
I also think Joe is looking to run for Congress (again) in the WA State 3rd District. This would be his 3rd run at it — he got”cheated” out of it both times primarily because of the WA State 100% mail-in voting cheat machine.
Is the 3rd time the charm for Joe … ??
FWIW, Joe has earned the right to his opinion — he enlisted in 1998 and served eleven Ranger and/or Special Forces combat deployments, primarily in Iraq but also in the 1st Battle of Fallujah, Yemen, and North Africa. Joe retired in 2018, becoming a paramilitary officer with the ClA.
In January 2019, Kent’s wife Shannon was killed in a suicide bombing in Manbij, Syria while serving in the USN as an Intel Specialist.
He’s earned much respect and the right to his opinions — and there’s “more” to his resignation than most suspect.
Personally ??? I shook The Shah’s hand in ’74 when I was “over there” and I’ve trained Iranian pilots way back when we were “buddies”. But I would have taken the Ayatollahs out a long, long time ago. But we did nothing for nearly 5 decades.
So with that … I’d give Joe Kent some slack.
I think you are missing something important here.
yes, he wore the uniform and performed honorably in combat. Good.
HE FOLLOWED ORDERS. HE MET HIS OATH WITH PROFESSIONALISM AND BRAVERY. No one could ask for more.
But now, he is advocating while IN AN OFFICIAL CAPACITY IN A COUNTER INTELLIGENCE DIVISION AT DNI AGAINST THE PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES>
that is a problem.
its very similar to Kelly. No one questions his military record. Exemplary performance and an astronaut/space ship pilot.
but they both are basically attempting to undermine the President of the United States. Both know better. Both followed orders and succeeded against all the odds. And for that I am grateful to their SERVICE TO OUR NATION.
but now you have this idiot belly aching that President Trump is wrong about this war and so he decides to quit?
the big question I have is simple: why didn’t he quit earlier if he was so afraid to be part of the destruction of the caliphate? what took him so long?
and that really gets to the heart of the matter which both this idiot and Kelly seem to have forgotten.
while in uniform, whether they liked the mission and the policy, they served mostly, above all else to ensure their comrades came back home alive. Every single soldier is motivated by that first primary duty above all else.
Neither one of these jackwagons have realized that erasing the Iranian threat SAVES US FORCES LIVES.

Bullshit. Kent got caught. Straight up. Just another DS plant, masquerading as a MAGA Republican. He weaseled his way into MAGA orbit, thought he was smart enough to set up Trump. But he got caught disseminating CLASSIFIED information to Tucker Carlson, (of all people!,) who in turn passed it on to the Iranians. Now we know why Tucker was losing his mind last week and crying about being “spied on by the CIA”.
How well do you know him? Is the replacement wife a leftist with ties to the Clinton/leftist/Democrat operatives the Blumenthals?
And he doesn’t have to earn hist right to an opinion – we all have a right to our opinions.
Someone should remind that asshat the Iran has been at war with America for FORTY SEVEN years. Their Killing Americans at will seems to have conveniently left his rattled memory! Benedict Arnold was a war hero prior to his Treason much as Kent is doing!
The cognitive dissonance on this blog on this war is confounding
This war is so obviously wrong and so obviously damning – not whatsoever in the interests of the people who votes MAGA 3x but rather the international clique if neoconservatives and money changers so adamantly opposed to MAGA in 2016 and 2020…
