IMPOVERISHED MINISTRY OF JESUS
“From whence then hast Thou that living water?”
John 4:11
“The well is deep” – and a great deal deeper than the Samaritan woman knew! Think of the depths of human nature, of human life, think of the depths of the “wells” in you. Have you been impoverishing the ministry of Jesus so that He can not do anything? Suppose there is a well of fathomless trouble inside your heart, and Jesus comes and says – “Let not your heart be troubled“; and you shrug your shoulders and say, “But, Lord, the well is deep; You cannot draw up quietness and comfort out of it.” No, He will bring them down from above. Jesus does not bring anything up from the wells of human nature. We limit the Holy One of Israel by remembering what we have allowed Him to do for us in the past, and by saying, “Of course I cannot expect God to do this thing.” The thing that taxes almightiness is the very thing which we as disciples of Jesus ought to believe He will do. We impoverish His ministry the moment we forget He is Almighty; the impoverishment is in us, not in Him. We will come to Jesus as Comforter or as Sympathizer, but we will not come to Him as Almighty.
The reason some of us are such poor specimens of Christianity is because we have no Almighty Christ. We have Christian attributes and experiences, but there is no abandonment to Jesus Christ. When we get into difficult circumstances, we impoverish His ministry by saying – “Of course He cannot do any thing,” and we struggle down to the deeps and try to get the water for ourselves. Beware of the satisfaction of sinking back and saying – “It can’t be done”; you know it can be done if you look to Jesus. The well of your incompleteness is deep, but make the effort and look away to Him.”

A few will get slung off into space, but most will come along for the ride of their lives.

Here is the game plan that the forces against Trump will be using for the foreseeable future.
They will attempt to get you to make the perfect the enemy of the good.
Be it the freedom clowns and spending, the immigration hawks with H1B visas, the peace doves with timing, the cultural warriors with total bans of DEI/CRT, the neocons with war fighting, or the swamp dwellers with draining the swamp.
All of them will attempt to get you to believe on whatever issue is the issue of the day that it doesn’t go far enough or do enough. They will try to make you think that some sub issue of that issue is more important and should be handled first, that since the issue hasn’t been handled yet it won’t be, that we can’t do more than one thing, that so and so is a plant to stop the draining of the swamp, or that because it wasn’t 100% Trump lied. On every single issue, one or more groups will attempt this strategy.
You can’t allow them that power over you. If Trump secures the border and deports 2 million, don’t allow them to reduce that good by them saying well he didn’t deport 2.5 million, so he failed or lied.
You can’t allow them to use the perfect to void out the good in the coming months.
They will try. They already have with the CR and the H1b visa debates. It works, that is why they use it. You have to keep it in the front of your head on everything about to occur that half a loaf or hopefully in most cases 7/8ths a loaf is better than no loaf.
Do not allow them to gaslight you into thinking the good is the enemy of the perfect.
In the real world, most things are never perfect, but if we try real hard, we can get plenty of good accomplished in the coming 4 years.
The purpose and goals of President Trump are plainly visible by his actions and consistent: He is for the benefit first of the common PEOPLE of this country, then of the PEOPLE in the rest of the world. It is validating, even to our battered conservative skepticism.
The methods of his leadership are amazing. I still don’t get HOW he does it, or HOW he is able to get so much momentum going, but every day the momentum is growing. Everyone and every organization has their eyes opened every day — just by watching him. Even those who hate him, are biased against him, and want to see him gone — cannot ignore him. He lives rent free in their head, and they come around to seeing the universal principles by which he is operating. He hammers actions based on truth from one direction, then another, and they cannot mount an organized opposition against him.
President Trump is transparent in his words and actions. He is consistent in what he says, what he does, and what he asks/demands of others. His promises are bold and he keeps them like no other president has. He is making massive, nearly overnight changes, not only in our country, but in the world. It is amazing that he is able to accomplish so much when there are so many snakes in the grass. This term, he is weeding them out faster. No U.S. president has ever faced so much organized resistance and treason than President Trump
He has chosen to use his intellect and every skill he has to do what is right. He has tremendous faith that he can make a difference in this world. He has a confidence and courage such that he doesn’t care what others think, yet a humility to know he has to do it with the help of like minded people. Those people are the “common” people, and he ridicules those who think they are not common.
He believes people are basically good. He believes that God is real. He believes that healthy people are happy people, and they need to be able to create wealth freely for their labor, and have the freedom to spend their money on what is good for them.
He believes the United States, with its Constitutional Republic, is the best environment in the world to enable and give opportunity for people to be happy and prosperous.
He believes that we can be a light for the world, but we must demand that the rest of the world respect us and our right to life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of happiness.
He believes the enemy of our country are the stupid, greedy American people who have been selfishly taking advantage of this country; who betrayed the trust and obedience of its people; and who diverted the people’s wealth for their own selfish gain, at the expense of the principles of this country. He’s not going to allow that anymore.
He has cultivated and focused the family of MAGA. Identifying those people whose goodness, industriousness, trust, and obedience have been taken advantage of and abused. He has opened our eyes to this abuse, and the rights of freedom and self determination that have been quietly stolen from us.
He has rekindled the healthy distrust of government and men with too much power held by our founders. He has recultivated the desire to reclaim our freedoms and rights, and is empowering us with a hope and pathway to reclaim our spiritual and economic freedom.
He wants the US to be a light of hope on the hill for all people. He will negotiate win/win agreements with those nations and countries who respect us; who respect the principles and intent of our Constitution. If you do not respect us, however, we are not going to let you take advantage of our goodness, or share in our wealth at our expense. If you as a nation are treating your people badly, you are going to be treated less favorably by us, until you show that you value your people as much as we value ours.
He is convincing those who are very wealthy (most of whom truly earned their money), that the best economic soil in which to build wealth is in a constitutional republic, which supports the ability of the common man to earn wealth in proportion to his efforts. The economic engine of the United States is the human spirit freed to enjoy the fruits of honest labor, and that engine has more natural and raw horsepower than any other governed economy.
The Trump Train seems to be remarkably aligned with universal principles of Truth, which reflect the will and design of our Creator, and are the best standard by which we should live. These same principles were what our country’s founders used to declare independence, and framed into the Constitution of this nation.
Our founders believed that a nation should preserve the right and freedom of an individual to seek, understand, and live by God’s principles. They believed that free individuals working together in humility would make a stronger nation than a government which dictates its will on the people. President Trump professes and seeks to lead and restore this nation back to these same principles.
These principles resonate deeply within all human beings, down to our DNA in every cell, in our spirits, and produce fruit that “miraculously” multiplies. Because we follow universal principles, we see the snowballing acceleration of momentum on day 39 of the 2nd year of the 2nd term of this very stable genius in the history of the kingdoms of this world in the year of our Lord 2025.

The Haut-Richelieu funeral home in Quebec is offering a $700 service that allows assisted suicide or euthanasia in its showroom.

Apparently the Poutine Government is even queasy about this:

Do others monetize these killings? Don’t tell me Canadian Doctors kill for free.
Since the government wants to save so much money on real health care, are the bums paying Doctors to off sick patients?
And what if it is part of a package deal that saves you money? Coffins, Cemeteries, Funeral Services, etc, all cost money. Isn’t that ‘monetizing’? Everybody offers bundling these days.

I’d swear all the activists are lying. Haven’t you heard how inhumane it is to use this for capital punishment? It is so bad that pharmacies won’t provide the drugs anymore. Yet the same people push the same injections to voluntarily end life, claiming it is very humane.

Today SCOTUS meets in private conference. They may vote on the cases in which they held oral argument this week. They are scheduled to vote on pending petitions for cert. One of these is Trump v. Carroll, the case filed by E. Jean Carroll for an alleged assault at Bergdorf Goodman’s department store in New York City more than 20 years before. It was heard by a federal jury in SDNY. The trial judge was a Clinton appointee. Trump lost in the Second Circuit, so is now appealing to SCOTUS.
The jury entered a verdict in favor of Carroll, no doubt in part because of the testimony of some other women who claimed that Trump had grabbed or groped them at other times in other years and other places (one allegedly took place on an airplane). Trump’s counsel objected to the introduction of this evidence as speculative and prejudicial.
The petition asks the Court to grant review on the following issues:
(1)Whether Federal Rule of Evidence 415 overrides Rule 403’s requirement to balance the probative value of temporally remote propensity evidence against its prejudicial effect before such evidence can be admitted?; (2) Whether Federal Rule of Evidence 413(d) authorizes the admission of temporally remote propensity evidence that the defendant committed the “crime” of “sexual assault” when the alleged prior act did not constitute a crime or a sexual assault?; and (3) Whether Federal Rule of Evidence 404(b)(2) permits the admission of “modus operandi” or “corroboration” evidence of prior “bad acts” without establishing a non-propensity purpose of the evidence, such as identity, absence of mistake, or another enumerated exception in Rule 404(b)(2)?
Propensity is the tendency to commit particular acts, so Carroll was basically arguing that he’d grabbed women in other places in other years, so the jury should accept that it was likely that he’d done it to her. The problem with this is how specific and similar (including in time and in number) must the prior acts be to establish a person’s tendency to repeat the behavior.
It takes four votes to grant cert. Whether the fact that two of the justice have also been accused of indecent behavior by women in the past, and have vehemently denied these claims factors into the Court’s decision, I don’t know. If the Court does accept cert, expect there to be calls for Thomas and Kavanaugh to recuse themselves.
The Court Clerk is scheduled to publish the orders from today’s conference on Monday before the oral argument. The Court could also hold this petition over for another conference, which it sometimes does.
Should Trump get cert, the case would be argued in the 2026-2027 term.
I would throw the case and E. Jean Carroll out as frivolous prosecution and clerically pistol whip the entity that brought the case forward as laws were changed specifically to ensnare one defendant (and changed the law afterward to close the loop hole) by a malicious attorney general who campaigned on legally harassing an individual as part of “official duties” if elected. When the plaintiff can’t even remember the DATE of the alleged assault? It could have been mistaken identity as she was used to bringing her “dates” to the changing rooms?
This case should be a shining example of what is NOT LEGAL in the United States.

This is the biggest railroad job in history.
9. Joe Tacopina, an attorney for Trump, pointed out in May 2023 that Carroll’s entire story has incredible similarities to a 2012 episode of Law & Order: Special Victims Unit. In that episode, titled “Theatre and Tricks,” an individual talks about a rape fantasy in Bergdorf Goodman — the same department store where Carroll claims the incident took place.

And the case is for defamation not rape. The case rests on the fact Trump disputed the rape claim saying he was innocent, that alone is ridiculous.
Even the civil jury wouldn’t say Trump raped Carroll. Their finding was ‘it was more likely than not Trump sexually assaulted Carroll’.
A pretty lukewarm verdict but they then went ahead and awarded more damages than Carroll had sued for originally.
So basically is someone acusses you of something in New York and you claim you are innocent you have defamed that person.
Throw in the judge violated Trump’s civil rights with many of his rulings especially by a gag order on Trump and you can’t decide anything but this whole trial was fixed to punish Trump politically.

The Convention of States has been pushed since the ink barely dried on the existing US Constitution. Even the state of Nevada wrote in their legislative archives when they rescinded their application for a ConCon. “We were induced by fraud to believe this could be limited to consider only one amendment when in truth, there are no restrictions to this process.” Yes, we need to enforce our existing Constitution!

Current Federal Election Law
Probably a dumb question, but don’t we have current federal laws that define who can vote in federal elections?
My understanding is:
You must be a U.S. Citizen
You must be 18 years old or older
You must vote in the precinct where you are registered or live
That’s it. The states manage their elections processes and procedures to comply with federal election laws or, at least they are supposed to.
So how can they come close to compliance with current federal laws if they don’t validate voter I.D. to determine who is actually voting?
It was also Clinton’s Secretary DOE Hazel O’Leary that removed a lot of the security protocols for foreign nationals working at US national labs like Los Alamos. Made it easier for Wen Ho Lee and Peter Lee (no relation) to steal classified information for the CCP.
Can we kick them out? Surely there are standards in the contract that they have violated. And we should sue for damages and make them pay just to keep them poor and unable to do it again.

Sidebar comment on Gingrich since Rep. Mace and some others are bringing up the sexual harassment by members of Congress. Gingrich was Speaker of the House when the Congressional Accountability Act of 1995 was passed (Sen. Grassley was the original sponsor). That law allowed tax payer funds to be used to pay sexual harassment settlements (creating the “slush fund”). No surprise it passed with near-unanimous votes in both House and Senate.
Maybe someone can figure out who is who and make sure everyone knows which ones are loyal Americans. Kind of hard to see the differences and who may be lying.

I do not trust any institution with my personal and financial information. I don’t even trust my employer. By having to give up this information in order to function in our society, the government and the institutions should have to pay for any and all ramifications of ID theft or home mortgage theft and not the victim. It is their policies that created the environment and their lack of security that created the opportunity for the theft.
Calling it verify citizenship is misleading. The banks would need to verify legal presence, so green card holders for example can legally have bank accounts.
Banks requiring legal presence is nothing new. Many banks and credit unions never have and still don’t accept illegals. That is a policy decision made at the financial institution level.
The big banks going back to the 2000s under guidance from the Bush admin pertaining to the Patriot Act started aggressively marketing to the illegal community. So, as a result of the Patriot act guidance, the Bush admin made it easier for illegals to get bank accounts and big banks such as Wells Fargo and BofA made big investments marketing to the illegals to get those accounts with little or no vetting of the IDs and ITIN or SS provided by the customer. They just take whatever ID and tax ID number provided by the customer and assume it is legit without running it through any gov’t database…
For example, an American citizen can walk into a bank that accepts illegals with fake ID and fake tax ID number and open an account with little or no resistance. The amount of accounts that would be closed after verification requirements is likely in the millions.
Many years ago, when I was in banking, a couple of new employees from the local Mexican restaurant came in to open accounts. They were accompanied by a known customer who was bilingual.
He was telling me that they were in the process of applying for their Social Security numbers and they hadn’t remembered to bring their Green cards. They had a state ID and nothing else.
At the same time, he was telling them not to say anything about their status and to pretend they didn’t understand if I asked them any questions.
My assistant manager, a brown eyed blonde whose maiden name was Martinez and who grew up in South Central, quietly stepped up behind me, and in perfect Spanish, told them we wouldn’t be able to open the accounts for them!

A federal judge has had to rule that, for now, President Donald Trump’s plans for a $400 million White House ballroom to replace the demolished East Wing must be allowed to move forward.
In the decision by Judge Richard Leon, who previously has ruled against the president’s plans several times, he conceded that the plaintiffs in a lawsuit against the project failed to bring the legally required arguments.
“Unfortunately, because both sides initially focused on the president’s constitutional authority to destruct and construct the East Wing of the White House, plaintiff didn’t bring the necessary cause of action to test the statutory authority the president claims is the basis to do this construction project without the blessing of Congress and with private funds,” the judge admitted.

Having some discussion about the recent Supreme Court ruling on tariffs. I am struggling to understand why they left billions of dollars up in the air by not being clear about a remedy, and feel that part is worse than the ruling itself, since the President has other options.
The other party in this discussion says the Supreme Court never really addresses remedy this way. Is that accurate?

Even more simply, when a Court admits – using different verbiage to avoid the word “regulate” – that the president can regulate tariffs, but then in the same breath says that the president cannot “regulate” tariffs , you know that something is wrong!

The overarching theme of the Court’s opinion is that tariffs are not a clear means to “regulate . . . importation” and that Congress was therefore required to use the word “tariff,” “duty,” or the like in IEEPA in 1977 if it wanted to authorize tariffs on foreign imports. But that conclusion contravenes text, history, and precedent. To summarize: Algonquin in 1976 unanimously held the opposite. The Nixon and Ford tariffs were based on statutory provisions that did not use the word “tariff ” or “duty.” There is a long tradition of Presidents imposing tariffs as a means of regulating importation and commerce. The predecessor Trading with the Enemy Act has long been understood to authorize tariffs during wartime as a means to “regulate . . . importation,” even though it does not use the word “tariff ” or “duty.” The history of the Polk, Lincoln, and McKinley tariffs shows that tariffs are a means of regulating importation. Marshall, Story, and Madison stated that tariffs are a means of regulating foreign commerce. That said, with respect to tariffs in particular, the Court’s decision might not prevent Presidents from imposing most if not all of these same sorts of tariffs under other statutory authorities. For example, Section 122 of the Trade Act of 1974 permits the President to impose a “temporary import surcharge” to “deal with large and serious United States balance-of-payments deficits.” 19 U. S. C. §2132(a). Section 201 of the Trade Act of 1974 provides that, if the International Trade Commission determines an article is being imported in such quantities that it is “a substantial cause of serious injury, or the threat thereof, to the domestic industry producing an article like or directly competitive with the imported article,” the President may take “appropriate and feasible action,” including imposing a “duty.” §§2251(a), 2253(a)(3)(A). Section 301 of the Trade Act of 1974 authorizes the President through a subordinate officer to “impose duties” if he determines that “an act, policy, or practice of a foreign country” is “unjustifiable and burdens or restricts United States commerce.” §§2411(a)–(c). So the Court’s decision is not likely to greatly restrict Presidential tariff authority going forward. But the Court’s decision is likely to generate other serious practical consequences in the near term. One issue will be refunds. Refunds of billions of dollars would have significant consequences for the U. S. Treasury. The Court says nothing today about whether, and if so how, the Government should go about returning the billions of dollars that it has collected from importers. But that process is likely to be a “mess,” as was acknowledged at oral argument. Tr. of Oral Arg. 153–155. A second issue is the decision’s effect on the current trade deals. Because IEEPA tariffs have helped facilitate trade deals worth trillions of dollars—including with foreign nations from China to the United Kingdom to Japan, the Court’s decision could generate uncertainty regarding various trade agreements. Often, the court sends issues back to lower courts to be reconsidered. This isn’t that, but it has the same feel. Address the higher issues and let the smaller issues be worked out later.
And, this is quite fast for the court. Normally things take years to reach this point. But we have a Supreme Court ruling lessvthan a year after the tariffs were imposed.

How is that ‘learn to code’ thing working out.
Before retiring, a year sooner than planned, I worked for a law firm. One day I had 10 bankers’ boxes of paper dumped by my desk. The firm had decided to take on a case from another firm. No one knew what was inside those boxes, including the firm that had dumped the client (or vice versa…)
The task of analyzing the contents was somehow relegated to me. I’m still not sure if that was a deliberate move on my employer’s part to dump me. In any event, I asked for OT approval. A measly three hours was granted. I gave notice and left. Learned months later that the firm still didn’t have a full accounting of the boxes’ contents.
The point of this narrative is actually a question — how could any form of AI analyze the contents of ten bankers’ boxes of loose paper? Would one first scan in tens of thousands of papers and then somehow, magically, AI would speed-read through them all? If there were two pieces of paper that appeared identical, but in fact were not because a single word had been redacted, could AI distinguish between the two? And could it ascertain who performed the redaction, and why?
I’d really like to understand why so many believe AI is an improvement upon human thought when it’s human thought that imagined and created AI in the first place.
I believe AI will backfire spectacularly when disastrous decisions are made about medicine or finance and the outcome is not at all what they were told by AI. Often times, humans will be able to see the “if p then q” a lot quicker than a computer.
There’s potential here for great irony. Some have predicted that AI will take over the role of attorneys. When a human sues a doctor or medical establishment because of errors in medical records, errors created by the use of AI, will an AI attorney defend the human doctor?

Re the reporting that the FBI recorded a call between Wiles and her attorney.
Reporting now is that Wiles’ attorney denies he ever consented to a recorded call with her at the request of the FBI, and Wiles believes him.
Patel said yesterday the records were found in a “Prohibited” FBI file that is invisible to anyone without special access. If that is true, I think we are well into the territory where it is appropriate to question whether this was not a “consensually monitored call” but was instead and illegal wiretap of Wiles or her attorney, and it was hidden behind false FBI paperwork claiming the attorney was cooperating.
That would explain why it was put behind at “Prohibited” access firewall in the FBI file system.
The NYT is reporting this involved the Smith SCO looking to see if Trump connected PACs were paying attorney’s fees in order to prevent people in Trump-World from cooperating with Smith.
The timing is suspicious. Smith was appointed in Nov. 2022, and this call is reported to have taken place in Feb. 2023. Smith stepped in and took over an ongoing DOJ investigation, and he might have wondered very early why more people weren’t cooperating.
He’s so slimy and ethically challenged that I could see him going down this road.
