It’s around lunchtime and I’ve spent so much time deep in the weeds of an issue that I need a break. So, here’s a little funny story from my real-world travels in the past few years that given the current Davos meeting topics you might find interesting.
I went to Russia in 2024, because what I was hearing in western media about the sanctions did not align with what I was seeing from reports inside Russia. Before I went into Russia, I spent several weeks in Northern and Eastern Europe visiting various institutions, reading material and checking to see how systems in Europe were engaging with commerce given the Russian sanctions. It wasn’t very exciting work, and sometimes I literally just sat in the lobbies of banks listening to conversations.
When I went into Russia (April, May, June and July ’24) I noticed many of the “Uber cars” were BYD brand, Chinese electric vehicles. It made sense given two years of existing sanctions and few cars from Europe or America available except under costly brokerage fees for acquisition. They like the Geely brand better, but BYDs are much cheaper. A brand new BYD costs around $5,000 to $10,000 USD, in some places even less.
Then later I noticed even more of these BYD cars in Europe. I started to pay attention to them and saw them everywhere.
When I went back into Russia a year later in 2025, there was a very noticeable increase in BYD cars. It was crazy, they were everywhere.
My travels also took me to southeast Asia and again those damned BYD’s were all over the place. In Thailand, Philippines, Malaysia, Vietnam, these BYD’s were everywhere, maybe even 30% of total vehicle traffic at times – most certainly well over 50% of all EVs – and there are digital billboards for “Build Your Dream” (BYD) all over the place throughout Asia.
Australia is stocked full of those things, and the middle east, yup, even there too. It became increasingly weird to notice. So many were visible I was wondering how the heck China can mass produce and ship this many cheap EVs so fast.
Then as serendipity would have it, I ran into a Chinese guy, professionally an actuary, in a hotel restaurant. He explained to me that China produces the BYD not to make money from the automobile, but rather to sell the carbon credits the automobile generates within the auto industry.
The actual value to Beijing is in selling the carbon credit worthiness to various automakers who are fined or penalized by their government for producing gasoline powered vehicles.
BYD is, in essence, not a car per se’, but a mechanism to generate a carbon credit certificate that can be sold to other car companies. It’s the carbon credit certificate that generates the revenue, not the sale of the vehicle. As my dinner guest explained, the auto insurance industry was having fits about this because the actuaries couldn’t accurately put a correct figure on the cost of the insurance warrantee within the industry (that’s another story).
The bottom line is that China is manufacturing a product to create a carbon credit certificate in response to the demand for carbon credits from all the world auto-makers. Any nation that has a penalty or fine attached to their climate goals is a customer. Those are nations with fines or quotas associated with the production of gasoline powered engines if the auto company doesn’t hit the legislated target for sales of electric vehicles.
In essence, EU/AU/CA/RU/ASEAN car companies buy Chinese car company carbon credits, to avoid the EU/AU/CA/RU/ASEAN fines. The Chinese then use the carbon credit revenue to subsidize even lower priced Chinese EVs to the EU/AU/CA/RU/ASEAN car markets, thereby undercutting the EU/AU/CA/RU/ASEAN car companies that also produce EVs.
Big Panda brilliantly exploits the ridiculous pontificating climate scam and has an interest in perpetuating -even emphasizing- the need for the EU/AU/RU/ASEAN countries to keep pushing their climate agenda. China even goes so far as to fund alarmism research about climate change because they are making money selling carbon credit certificates on the back end of the scam to the western fear mongers. This is friggin’ brilliant.
My dinner buddy was in the business of identifying the cost/benefit equation between the climate change fines and the prices Big Panda could charge for the carbon credit certificates. If, as an example, Brussels dropped the quotas for EVs, China would need to lower the price for the carbon credit certificates. So, Beijing wants Brussels to make sure they don’t drop the quotas. See how that works?
The climate change alarmists are helping China’s economy by pushing ever escalating fear of climate change. You just cannot make this stuff up.
What does the outcome look like?
Well, in this example we see thousands of unsold BYDs piling up in countries that emphasize climate regulations with no restrictions on the import of EVs (which most don’t even manufacture), which is almost every country. Big Panda doesn’t care about the car itself; they care about generating the carbon credit certificate to sell in the various carbon exchanges.
Put this context to the recent announcement by Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney about his new trade deal with China to accept 49,000 EVs this year.
Prime Minister Carney bragged about getting the Chinese to agree to only super low prices for the Canadian market. Mark Carney was very proud of his accomplishment to get much lower priced vehicles for Canadian EV purchasers. No doubt Big Panda left the room laughing as soon as Carney made his grand announcement.
1. China sells EV’s in Canada, creating credits available on the carbon exchange scheme. Europe et al will purchase the carbon credits because Bussels has fines against EU car companies.
2. With a foothold already established in Europe, China will then take the money generated by the carbon credit purchases and lower the prices of the Chinese EV cars sold in Canada.
It’s gets funnier.
3. Carney bragged about forcing China to only sell low price EV’s as part of the trade agreement. The low price of the EV’s in Canada will be subsidized by Europe. China doesn’t pay or lose a dime.
But wait….
4. Carney can’t do anything about the scheme he has just enmeshed Canada into, because Canada has a Carbon Credit exchange in law. 😂🤣😂
Big Panda wins again.
[…] In a statement published Thursday, BYD said sales of its battery-powered cars rose nearly 28% to 2.26 million units.
Musk openly laughed at the mention of BYD while being interviewed on Bloomberg TV in October 2011. He said he did not see the company as a competitor to Tesla, adding: “I don’t think they have a great product.” Meanwhile, Tesla said Friday it delivered 1.64 million vehicles in 2025. [SOURCE]
Elon thinks BYD are building cars. They aren’t.

how do all these owners charge their EVs? My son lives in proximity to Jakarta and he says the electricity regularly ‘goes out’ there for hours at a time almost every day, albeit there are not as many cars there as gasoline powered motor scooters.
It is funny that Carney seems to think he’s pulled off a real coup.
How does this end? Because that which can’t be sustained won’t be.
Carney’s offshore account is flush with funds, which is a personal coup of sorts.
He knows what he’s doing. He says that to please the brain washed voters. Because they believe what they are told.
Good googly moogly Sundance…
That’s even more Communist than earlier Communists.
And most of the world’s leaders willingly march ever onward toward their own enslavement – Chinese style.
What do they care, their pockets are lined and their bread is buttered. THAT IS THE PROBLEM
Many generations past, the “nobility” of a kingdom lived under “nobelesse oblige”, the French phrase for the Lord of the Manor being obligated to protect the peasants living on his farms or otherwise under his domain.
Today’s rootless cosmopolitans have no connection to their “home” nation, and they’ve been indoctrinated to the delusion of “citizen of the world.”
Excellent point.
…but it sure explains the meme of Biden on a knee with Xi holding a dog leash….
That and Xi paid off Biden BIG TIME in 2015, which Democrats conveniently forget.
We will make it up in volume has been the ruin of many a company, and now countries.
That, and then replacing all those Chinese batteries. Or not.
China does not care how many of the cheaply made Li ion batteries in these cars randomly explode. The car and its demize is the problem of the country where the car sits.
In other news, see CCP and free trade.
China also subsidizes windmills to export to the West. As Lenin famously stated: “The capitalists will sell us the rope with which we will hang them.”
Chine will succeed where Lenin failed…
Nope! Communism is Communism is Communism! It can only destroy it can’t build.
Yea, but that’s not ‘real communism’.
And, it is anti-God.
“But comrade, we don’t have the money to buy the rope to hang the capitalists…”
In this case the capitalists are willingly paying the communists enough rope with which to hang the capitalists. The Eur-idiots have put their Theater of the Absurd on full display…..
It begs the (rhetorical) questions – how many European citizens truly understand the depth of absurdity to which their governments have gone to weaken their nations’ economies as well as their citizens’ economic health and security? Are they all THAT ideologically brainwashed and blissfully ignorant of the existential damage that the WEF’s Green Agenda (Paris Climate Accords) has caused and will cause if not halted soon?
That’s alright. We’ll make it up selling “carbon credits”, while we continue to use coal, oil and natural gas.
And the Muslims plant the tree the hanging rope is attached to.
This isn’t funny it’s scary if this happens here.
People like to talk smack about Britain during the Opium Wars in the 1800s but seem to miss the part about the disastrous trade imbalance that pushed Britain into selling the Chinese opium in the first place.
It wasn’t for fun or racism or imperialism or whatever; it was because the Chinese accepted nothing but silver bullion and the treasuries of the entire continent were being literally emptied. But opium could be sold back to the Chinese market for silver, thus creating a circular market that kept European economies from ceasing to exist.
Still morally reprehensible. But my point is, the Han Chinese are diabolical when it comes to business and do not care about the rules that the West plays by.
Excellent point. Americans have NO IDEA how competitive, committed, long-term, and ruthless the CCP is.
I somewhat disagree.
The apparent Chinese business community’s “ruthlessness” is ONLY functional because of the West’s short-sighted but uncontrollable greed for unlimited wealth and lust for the power that wealth can buy.
It’s not Chinese “ruthlessness’ so much as it is their superior “street smarts” to implement such a simple but effective strategy and thereby gain significant economic advantage over the West’s short-sighted (i.e., stupid) greed.
President Trump fully understands this self-defeating strategy that the EU and their sycophants are using to their ultimate destruction. He is consciously pursuing MAGA policies thus avoiding making the same mistakes that his predecessors made which had put the USA on the same downward economic spiral as Europe / UK.
Of course the ChiComs murdered north of 70 million people in the 20th century, but I suppose we’re overlooking that for the time being.
Before we accuse any nation of murder, we need to confess the multi-millions of babies we have murdered in this nation……I’m just sayin’……
The CCP grifters are taking advantage of the climate change delusions of the virtue signaling west. A classic example of “a fool and his money are soon parted”. Con games have been a part of the human race since before recorded time.
While that is true, President Trump is just one man. And we have seen what the U.S. citizens have been stuck with for decades – not just for presidents, but for CONgress as well.
And then there’s this:
A World Effectively Controlled by the United Nations
That is the actual title of an important 1961 State Department study by CFR member Lincoln P. Bloomfield that advised world government under the UN could be brought about by a “series of sudden, nasty, and traumatic shocks.”
In the study’s opening summary, Professor Bloomfield wrote: “A world effectively controlled by the United Nations is one in which ‘world government’ would come about through the establishment of supranational institutions, characterized by mandatory universal membership…. Effective control would thus entail a preponderance of political power in the hands of a supranational organization…. The present UN Charter could theoretically be revised in order to erect such an organization equal to the task envisaged, thereby codifying a radical rearrangement of power in the world.”
Also known in the State Department as “Study Memorandum No. 7”, the subversive Bloomfield/CFR program, which was never planned for public release, candidly confesses to its elite audience that “to avoid endless euphemism and evasive verbiage, the contemplated regime will occasionally be referred to unblushingly as a ‘world government.’” Unblushingly, but still secretly, to the initiated and vetted one-worlders, not to America’s great unwashed, who are told that every step toward world government is a victory for peace and global cooperation.
The Bloomfield/CFR template, as detailed in “A World Effectively Controlled by the United Nations,” was a key document exposed by the late writer [William F. Jasper] in his two books on the United Nations, Global Tyranny … Step by Step: The United Nations and the Emerging New World Order (1992) and The United Nations Exposed (2001).
As those books explained, the Bloomfield study was not the harebrained ranting of some marginal academic outlier, but, rather, the actual schema for global conquest; it became the operational manual for CFR globalists in our government; and has provided the guidance for Democrat and Republican administrations (alternating CFR Team A and Team B).
Treason — the planned scuttling of our constitutional form of government by officials sworn to protect it, perpetual war, and the destruction of our liberty and national sovereignty — became official policy.
The Bloomfield plan, which has been employed for decades by the CFR elites, calls for “a crisis, a war, or a brink-of-war situation so grave or commonly menacing that deeply-rooted attitudes and practices are sufficiently shaken.”
However, the CFR author of the plan reiterated that a single “crisis” might not be sufficient for the purpose; more likely, he observed, this grand objective would require “a series of unnerving trips to or over the brink.”
Hence, we have been treated to a non-stop barrage of orchestrated “global crises” — financial, environmental, security, etc. — all of which demand, we are told, “global solutions,” under the United Nations. And, thus, we have today not only the engineered Iran crisis, but also the Ukraine crisis, the Global-warming (aka the Climate) crisis, the global financial crisis, the ISIS crisis, lately the COVID-19 virus crisis, etc…
As dismally described by George Orwell in 1984, his dystopian view of Earth in the future, that megalomaniacal scheme features constantly shifting alliances and wars in a world divided into regional superpowers known as Oceania, Eastasia, and Eurasia. The perpetual warfare and crises provide the excuse and the means for effectuating the absolute tyranny of the Total State. We are fast approaching that point at which Orwell’s prophetic fiction becomes fact. And the CFR-brokered Iran deal, [like the “climate Change hysteria] far from being a “peace” initiative, is intended to provide another of those “unnerving trips to or over the brink” that will lead more Americans to accept the benevolent manacles of the Orwellian Big Brother Global State.
Excerpts of the above “The New American” article entitled: “Iran Nuclear Deal: Betrayal, Deception, and False Alternatives — Again” thanks to the late William F. Jasper, whose tireless research yields ever more eye-opening facts:
Please see the IQ ratings by nation. The three highest average IQ’s in the world are: Eastern China, Japan, the Korean peninsula.
https://worldpopulationreview.com/country-rankings/average-iq-by-country
Stephen Hawking famously dismissed IQ scores, stating, “People who boast about their IQ are losers,” emphasizing that true intelligence lies in using knowledge for impact, not in a number, and murdering 10s of millions of people–often the brightest and most moral–is a poor impact.
The infamous Chinese 100 Year Plan.
we need to get rid of carbon credits and roll back emissions standards to around year 2000 levels.
China is fat from winning, Europe is becoming emancipated from losing, and the U.S. is overrun with foreigners strangling it from within.
All of this is enabled by the United Nations which is controlled by the CCP. It may be covertly controlled by the CCP but the CCP wants one world government by the CCP and the structure of the UN is already in place. JMO
And the horrible truth is. They do know this. They are intentionally self destructing under the ruse of the big green lie.
They want to enrich Goddless China at the western worlds expense. They dream us for China to rule the NWO.
You might say Godless Government, but statistically, China has one of the largest Christian populations in the world. Check out https://www.youtube.com/@Inside_China_Business
Is carney really that stupid?
Carney is really that bought off
Yes.
Look up the term, “Quisling”.
I wonder good the service is on these cars when they get into a wreck or need maintenance.
What is the resale value and how fast do they depreciate?
Would you rather put $2,000+ USD into a depreciated ten year old $65,000 car or a depreciated ten year old $18,000 car for a major repair?
I have 5 cars. 1980, 1994, 2003, 2005, and 2008. Wouldn’t touch a car made under Biden’s EPA rules.
Totally understandable.
Automatic engine shutoff when you stop at intersections that drastically shortens the life of the starter motor.
Engines switching off cylinders to save on emissions and causing premature wear on internal components for want of lubricant or other.
Sealed transmissions with no dipstick and “lifetime” fluid, conveniently self destructing just after the warranty expires.
Lots of examples. Automakers weren’t just following the demands of the law, they were building lousy cars.
American automakers are still designing for programmed obsolescence while they shout it does not exist. I don’t want to buy a car every 5 years. I got 21 years each from 2 Toyotas and have 8 on my current.
Meanwhile the common car loan payments on these newer cars are literally a mortgage payment in of themselves.
$1,000+ per month for something designed to fail 5-10 years from the date of manufacture. Never mind insurance being a racket, and lets not mention automobile registration in some States.
Also paying personal property tax every year on each vehicle. Highway robbery!
Not only that, RF, but most(all?) cars provide personal information to Google and other sources. My car is a 1998 with over 200,00 miles on it! It runs great on the interstate!
1935, 1984, 1998, 2005, 2014-mama’s car…
I’m building the 1935 to be my daily driver.
Carney’s Brookfield is heavily invested in the carbon capture and credit scheme.
For Brookfield Renewable’s Renewable Energy Certificates (RECs) and related environmental attributes (which function similarly to credits for offsetting emissions): Buyers are typically large corporate and industrial offtakers under long-term power purchase agreements (PPAs) that bundle power with RECs/environmental attributes.
Notable examples include major tech companies like Microsoft (which has a massive multi-GW framework agreement with Brookfield Renewable for renewable power and associated attributes across the U.S. and Europe) and others in the sector (e.g., Google/Alphabet has been mentioned in Brookfield’s partnerships for clean energy supply).
Brookfield Renewable reports serving over 1,350 diverse offtakers globally, including more than 900 commercial and industrial customers—many of which are large corporations (e.g., tech giants) seeking to meet net-zero or renewable energy goals by purchasing RECs to claim the environmental benefits of clean power.
Excellent! You are 100% correct. Carney cares about Brookfield not Canada. He doesn’t even live there.
And per their SEC reports, Tesla makes their money on the same thing selling carbon credits to other companies.
Elon thinks BYD are building cars. They aren’t.
America thought Elon was building cars. He wasn’t.
Once the carbon credit bubble explodes then what?
Umm… then its time for the next Bubble!!
Is King
Amen
Well played!
Of Kings Laughing in derision of these not very smart humans.
Is Lord.
That is pretty funny. China may be many things, stupid is certainly not one of them.
Here’s worse news about Mark (Blarney) Carney below.
“Blarney” Carney sets himself up to lead the Globalist Elite of Europe, et. al, to continue the full-blown color revolution within America against our way of life, to bring down our government under Trump.
Canada Promotes End to American-Led Order | EpochTV
Is it Canada any more or Chinese satrapy?
If this keeps up will have a 3500 mile border with China.
Thanks Sundance. This scenario is as true as the old Disney nature film myth of mass cliff-jumping by lemmings is false. And I agree about the Chicoms – it is truly brilliant. To paraphrase an old Obama staffer: “We were relying on the stupidity of the people.”
What a tremendous misuse of resources. Obviously, no market correction can be allowed by the major players. An unsustainable system propping up illusion of sustainability. They are also mass-producing irony at a crippling rate.
Seriously….is Carney THAT stupid?
It is difficult to distinguish the criminally insane with those who are merely just plain stupid.
And greedy!
Love of money……
Following on a similar vein …
As President Trump told the room full of Davos Gaia worshipers yesterday…
China doesn’t have windmills. They use coal.
They manufacture them, and then sell them to stupid people.
Step forward, Canada, the EU, and Britain, and other gullible fools.
Your bespoke Dunce Caps are ready for pick up.
That was truly a thing of beauty. How can anyone argue with that?
Later Merz presented a “mea culpa” of sorts. He says the all in on wind and solar while destroying coal and nuclear was perhaps the stupidest (my word) mistake Germany ever made.
I can’t argue with him.
I think Germany is the windmill winner of the prize for stupid ways to wreck your Country.
Britain is giving it a run for its money, annie…believe me it is.
A little irony, China is building these cars and windmills for the green folks using COAL power.
And, of course, no one has figured out what to do or how to recycle the batteries or expended wind mills.
Thank Heaven we have a POTUS that could never fall into the “Carbon Credit” trap. Future generations will marvel at the gullibility/stupidity of the lackwits that have bought into this mass delusion.
P.S. My wife loves the Highlander franchise. The “There can be only Yuan” meme is absolutely priceless, IMO.
When “brilliant intellectuals” are so smart they cannot see how idiotic they are.
Meet me by the water cooler later. We’ll pat each other on the back and talk about how we are “saving the world” together.
God help us.
“Big Panda brilliantly exploits the ridiculous pontificating climate scam and has an interest in perpetuating -even emphasizing- the need for the EU/AU/RU/ASEAN countries to keep pushing their climate agenda. China even goes so far as to fund alarmism research about climate change because they are making money selling carbon credit certificates on the back end of the scam to the western fear mongers. This is friggin’ brilliant.”
Now consider that China has been behind the entire climate scam from the beginning…funding junk science and paying off everyone involved…China plays the long game.
Maurice Strong, who started ‘Climate Change’ was a Canadian man who recently died in China.
How many tonnes of credit per car? Current avg cost for EU auto maker?
Hilarious1 Leave it to the Chinese to out-grift the clueless beyond the next move Keystone Cop grifters of the west.
Reminds me of the Covid lockdown when checks were sent to everyone and their dog, and the only thing people could do was “shelter in place” while we “flattened the curve” – while shopping Amazon with a $2000 dollar check burning a hole in their pocket. Meanwhile Amazon proudly banners their financial support for BLM – who are out burning down Amazon’s brick and mortar competition.
Follow the money folks – And Thank You again Sundance!
Big winner will be the electric car disposal/recycling industry in three to five years.
Zero and auto-pen had us heading down that same path to dependency and destruction. Thank God for blessing us with President Trump.
Truly!
Elon has no room to talk. This was his EXACT strategy in getting Tesla off the ground via CA clean vehicle credits.
BYD isn’t competing on vehicles manufactured, they are competing on credit certificates generated.
What both BYD and Tesla are doing wrong is actually making the physical car to go along with the credit. It would have been easier to just outright defraud the green credit programs like they did in the UK.
https://www.gov.uk/government/news/sfo-secures-three-convictions-for-70-million-investment-fraud
Many, many years ago, my dad taught me that fishing lures are not designed to catch fish. Fishing lures are designed to catch fishermen.
Every time I see a windmill or solar farm, I think of this because each of these is designed — not to capture wind or solar — but rather to capture a subsidy without which they would not exist. China has taken this to the logical and profitable extreme. They have created a literal and figurative vehicle to capture carbon subsidies.
This reminds me of the “Tree Credits” scheme that developers pay the local county for the trees they tear down. They may plant a few, but never mind the century old, beautiful groves/forests of trees they just leveled to make their greedy selves richer.
I use lures and flies I have made by hand and those I have purchased for catching lots of fish. They often times are the only way to go, such as where use of live bait is prohibited or where artificial baits are simply more productive.
At any rate, the analogy is partly true and partly false.
No disrespect intended toward you or your dad, as I’m Just stating a fact, and although lures are designed so that fishermen would buy them, I seriously doubt they would sell if they were not useful in catching fish.
At any rate, the subsidies suck. where I live in the desert we are feeling the pinch as our electrical utility is sticking it to everyone who lives in Nevada to pay the price for infrastructure necessary to carry all the wind and solar panels that the grid now draws from thanks to the lies and stupidity of the greenies. Most of the solar cost deficit is in Southern Nevada, “Lost” Vegas, and now that the subsidies have been cut way back, it’s now entirely on the backs of the people paying their electricity bills.
BTW, your comment is factual for the most part so I gave it a like. 🙂

Please, God help us all.
Follow the money!
That is the only truth.
This has got to be one of the most insane things I have ever read.
The carbon credit-EV example is excellent. Another in a similar vein concerns the production of chlorofluorocarbons and other.
Anyone recall the Montreal Protocol, and the phase out of refrigerants that were claimed to deplete the Ozone layer? Turns out that the CCP got the idea at some point of producing more of these chemicals purely to destroy them as there was a financial incentive in place to be destroying these chemicals.
I had to have annual continuing education credits to keep my mechanical contractor’s license.
One year I approached the EPA guy after class and asked what happens if it turns out the entire “Freon” problem was in error.
(It is and was)
He was quite candid and said there was so much money in declaring the refrigerant of the day as problemtic and therefore had to apply penalty taxes so the industry would switch to something else that would in turn be declared problematic and the carousel just keeps going round and round.
Now we are forced into FLAMMABLE refrigerants.
Turns out it is very profitable lobbying to outlaw chemicals with soon to be or already expired patents on them.
Looking at you DuPont.
President Trump had the MSM going crazy over Greenland, which he knew was already solved, so they didn’t have the band width to criticize the Board of Peace. And the comedian dictator of Ukraine was totally forgotten by even his EU buddies. Our VSGPDJT has gone from playing the MSM like a drum to conducting them like an orchestra. I like all this winning.
And, no one bothers to explain just what a “carbon credit” is, except possibly “a license to pollute.” Or, something else for financiers to buy and sell. Because, quite logically, a “carbon credit” does not do anything for the environment.
Isn’t that the same principle as Bit-Coin block chain? Selling a nothing for something?
Elon is full chit!
2024 tesla earned 2.76 billion on carbon credits. He knows actually what Chinnypanda doing, because he is doing it too.
In the real world Chinny commie should be banned from planet earth
This is the dumbest thing ever, but totally figures. When you throw money around for “carbon neutral” malarkey, people are going to find ways to get their hands on that money. It figures that BYD could make a killing selling cars at cost, even though the only people “winning” here are the people running BYD and the politicians and bureaucrats skimming and/or getting elected based on this nonsense. And it’s increasingly a “legitimate” business model: sell a product you couldn’t hope to profit on, but make money anyway bilking the government.
Lets not forget that Tesla is a success largely because of the same “green” movement. The subsidies, the loans – all those “green” dollars flying around offset the cost of a Tesla by thousands of dollars. Imagine trying to start a traditional car company in the mid-00s: even though that’s where the demand really is, not a chance. Not to dog on Musk – he’s brilliant in playing this tilted economic field – but every time I hear how he’s the richest man in the world, I can’t help think “not legitimately” and he got there partly by stealing from the poor to give to the rich (taxes that went to subsidies for cars mostly bought by upper earners, the flood of liquidity in the name of “economic stimulus” that’s driving inflation).
Anyway, this is another reason I want to choke every time somebody on the left tries to lecture us about “the poor.” EVs, carbon offsets, “green” energy – it’s all making the things low wage earners spend most of their money on more expensive, and in some cases taking money out of their pockets. If the WEF bros hadn’t hit some stumbling blocks (Trump, Brexit, farmer protests), we’d be seeing mass famine and privation by now. And they’d be doubling down, claiming it was because of us. Just like Lenin an the kulaks. They. Never. Change.

48 windmill turbines a day…..
DuckAI…..
“China builds approximately two wind turbines every hour, which translates to about 48 turbines per day. This rapid installation rate makes it the largest program of turbine installation in the world.”
The turbines are built, not installed at the rate of 48/day. I hope and pray all the ugly junk of a dead windmill can be recycled.
They are NOT recyclable.
When those huge fiberglass or carbon-fiber wind-turbine blades shatter they strew jagged shards of fiberglass material all over farm fields which poisons the soil, making it unsafe to harvest crops from that field ever again. Or if it is an offshore wind-turbine it poisons marine life and beaches.
Those wind-turbine blades fail all the time. They get hit by lightning. They shatter from high winds. They get impacted by airborne debris. They are supposed to last ten years but actually only last 3-5.
When one wind-turbine in a field of multiple wind-turbines fail it’s too expensive to try to fix. So they just take that unit permanently offline and it stays that way until they decommission the entire field. Often the big fields of wind-turbines are decommissioned early because once a few individual turbines get taken offline the entire field falls below breakeven.
All those blades and turbines and concrete and steel are made by burning coal. It takes many MANY years for a wind-turbine to produce enough electricity to offset all the carbon released by building it.

Good for china, id do the same if the effete feminized western white male offered the opportunity. But sure, blame china. The stronger more determined and intelligent side should win. And it will, thats how god designed the world. Trump understands that btw
I remember buying the book “You can trust the Communists (to be Communists)” some fifty years ago. I never dreamt that it would spread – in my lifetime – across the Western world like an obnoxious weed with many young people treating it like a desirable houseplant.
We agree! Yet the Bible warns us of all of it.
Good will be called evil, evil, good .
Nations taken over etc. Isaiah, Amos, Daniel and others describe this as our time to be ready.
The call is not to try and determine when wars and rumours of wars will end but to be eagerly looking forward to the return of Christ.

Oh my goodness, Sundance.
You do more work ‘taking it easy’ during your lunch hour than most people do all day.
And that’s why I/we come to your treehouse every day — to learn.
Thank you!
I can’t wait for the end of the USMCA, it’s going to be hilarious watching Canada cope.
Really? China on our northern border? Zat what you want?
In no circumstance will that ever be allowed with President Trump in the Oval Office. Afterwards? That depends if MAGA wins against the Derp State.
Therefore, the Derp State must be destroyed!
World politics and politicians have successfully made a silk purse out of a sow’s ear! But, there’s a sucker born every minute!
If a proper cost benefit analysis was done of all the green policies and climate change regulations and spending, the total amount of fraud would be staggering. The amounts are far too big for most people to understand so they need to be visually represented in ways that compare them to what people are familiar with by way of analogy.
Some years ago I came across a website, demonocracy dot info, which attempts to visualize the US debt. It is unfortunately four years out of date because Youtube has not allowed them to have their videos monetized and with unrestricted comments. We need stunning visual representations for the climate fraud. If I were a wealthy man I would get the best team of artists to prepare such materials that could be easily understood by adults and children, educated and uneducated to shame those exploiting the naive public.
This is why Trump got elected, and Milei, and Orban. This is the beginning of society rejecting the government of the money-changers. Accountants are important for running a successful business, but there’s a hell of a lot more going on in the management of a society than just money-changing.
God bless Donald Trump, and all of you who voted for him and support his administration.
Western politicians are controlled by bankers (WEF)
The WEF is controlled by China.
Does the intentional degradation of the West (climate change scam, the European attempt to cause WW3, illegal immigration/importing migrants, Chinese fentanyl production, western debt crises, pharmaceutical and nutritional health crises, etc.) make sense now?
