I’m glad to see Tulsi nipped this one in the bud. Anyone with a brain can logically deduce that Russia does not have the capacity to take over Europe, and only gaining 20% of Ukraine in the past 3 years, long hard fought bloody battles over it. And others have mentioned, why would he want hostile Western Ukraine anyway, he wants a larger buffer.

As has been discussed here before, Europe does not have any natural resources of consequence – nothing worth “conquering” – and the last thing any other nation needs is to take on the dysfunctional, dependent, deteriorating, debt laden nations of the EU.

This situation we have, where elements in the government are openly hostile to and in opposition to the U.S. president, cannot continue. This situation MUST BE eliminated. I honestly don’t care whatever else the Trump Administration accomplishes, if it does not fix this problem, it will never be fixed, and the U.S. will be finished.

Any country that has centers of power that are unaccountable to the electorate cannot be called a representative republic. A country like that can only be called a banana republic, and a country like that will not endure. 

Think of it from the perspective of someone like Putin. When he thinks he understands the official U.S. government position via Secretary Rubio and/or Ambassador Witkoff, but then he hears the exact opposite via anonymous U.S. IC sources, what is he to think? 

The only logical conclusion he can draw is that he cannot rely on any position advanced by the United States, because the United States is in a civil war.

This situation cannot continue. This is a do or die question for this country. The simple fact is, the people who create these false reports and leak them to the media all have names and addresses. We refer them as the “deep state,” but they are just people. Seditious people, but people nonetheless. 

If these people are not identified, exposed and prosecuted, all the MAGA in the world won’t save this country. And to accomplish this goal, we are forced to rely on Blondie and Patel. I hoped and expected much more than this from Trump II. They need to do much better on this front in 2026.

Yes! Putin recognizes that NATO is incapable of doing anything without US materiel and participation. Without US participation there can be no EU war with Russia. Furthermore, the current US National Security Strategy makes clear that the US position toward Russia is the opposite of adversarial: “It is a core interest of the United States to negotiate an expeditious cessation of hostilities in Ukraine, in order to stablize European economies, prevent unintended escalation or expansion of the war, and reestablish strategic stability with Russia …” [NSS 2025 p. 25]

However, we still skate on the frozen surface. It is not possible to truly understand the dynamics at work regarding Ukraine without recognizing the City of London’s and the British elite’s historic hatred of Russia, and for that matter Russia’s historic hatred of the Brits. Both go back a LONG way. But even that is not enough. It merely helps us understand the current impasse and motivations.

Moving foreward, it is necessary for EVERYONE to leave old grudges behind and enter the 21st Century, using the Trump model, fully embraced by Sec Rubio, that applies business negotiation methods to foreign policy. Instead of poring over old grievance lists, we should help them both identify their commonalities of interests and develop ways in which those may be pursued to everyone’s benefit.
