Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky is expected to travel to the White House later this month to finalize the agreement.
Meanwhile, the U.S. and Russia held secret talks in Abu Dhabi on Monday, according to reports by Reuters and the Financial Times, as the Trump administration tries to maintain the momentum of progress with its evolving peace plan to end the war in Ukraine, which still rages in the background. Governments, if not the peoples, have settled into its momentum with vested interests exploiting the free flowing, literally it seems, cash spigots and resale opportunities. My understanding is that the changes include dropping the condition that Ukraine never be a member of NATO, and that the reduction in size of the Ukraine military was also dropped. Also dropped was the condition that Russia receive a part of Donbass that it doesn’t already occupy. If those are the changes, Putin will never agree, and rightly so.
When you refer to Putin going from aggressor to victim, you have it exactly backwards. We (the USA, along with the Euro globalitarians) attacked Russia to start this war back in 2014, and we continue to wage it. Ukraine is just our proxy. But the situation is the same as it has always been. The war will end when Putin decides it will end, and not a minute sooner.

The Pentagon and CIA are running the war from bases in Germany. They are providing intelligence, targeting, satellites, etc., in addition to money and arms. The original 28-Point Peace Plan, which was drafted by the United States, has been fine-tuned, with additional input from both sides, and there are only a few remaining points of disagreement.
In the hopes of finalizing this Peace Plan, I have directed my Special Envoy Steve Witkoff to meet with President Putin in Moscow and, at the same time, Secretary of the Army Dan Driscoll will be meeting with the Ukrainians.

Has the CIA scheduled its peace destroying attack on Russia yet?
I give less than 5% odds that Zelensky signs a peace for territory agreement.
They have until Thursday.
Whatever points were trimmed from the original 28 down to 19 probably include much of what Putin has been demanding since before he launched his ‘special military operation’, and without which he will not agree to the remainder. Zelensky would know this up front and will use it to blame Putin when the negotiations fail, which is what Zelensky and his EU/DS overlords want to happen. It has always been their refusals that have kept the war going.
