Remember, (1) Zelenskyy is ideologically opposed to coming to terms for a ceasefire against Russia. (2) Zelenskyy has the full support of the European nations to continue fighting. (3) Ukraine has a habit of using positive statements as tools to try and box in President Trump, only to hold firm to certain positions in an effort to derail peace negotiations.
Western media are now reporting the 28 points of President Trump’s proposal for a ceasefire have now been reduced to a core 19 points that Ukraine President Volodymr Zelenskyy accepts. Previously secret meetings between U.S. military and Russia are taking place in Abu Dhabi.
WASHINGTON – Ukraine has agreed to the U.S. peace plan with only “some minor details to be sorted out”, an American official told CBS News on Tuesday. Top Kyiv security official Rustem Umerov appeared to confirm the report, writing on X this morning that Ukraine had reached an understanding on the “core terms” of the U.S. peace plan during the discussions in Geneva. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky is expected to travel to the White House later this month to finalize the agreement.
Meanwhile, the U.S. and Russia held secret talks in Abu Dhabi on Monday, according to reports by Reuters and the Financial Times, as the Trump administration tries to maintain the momentum of progress with its evolving peace plan to end the war in Ukraine, which still rages in the background. WASHINGTON DC – Ukraine said Tuesday that it was hoping to finalize a deal with President Donald Trump in the coming days, as the United States intensified its new push to end Russia’s war.
Kyiv and its allies voiced optimism that talks with an American delegation had produced changes to the plan, which they initially viewed as granting the Kremlin its core demands at the expense of Ukraine and Europe.
“We appreciate the productive and constructive meetings held in Geneva between the Ukrainian and U.S. delegations, as well as President Trump’s steadfast efforts to end the war,” Rustem Umerov, a top official in Zelenskyy’s government, said in a post on X early Tuesday.

The question is what are the points Ukraine wanted dropped and why?
for starters,the one about boundaries,he has said all along they will not cede any territory to the russians.
If he doesn’t accept the boundaries….there is no deal.
Also, the 19 point plan that Z agrees to has no provision that Ukraine will not join NATO. This is Minsk 3.0, and nothing will come of it.
Thing is, the Russians are contracting those boundaries every day. Pretty soon, Z-Man will have no boundaries.

Zelensky will have to accede to terms that give most of the Donbas region to Russia, along with the Crimean Peninsula. The Crimean is a non-starter for Russia, it is their only warm water port, and has been jealously guarded by Russia since it was annexed by Catherine the Great in 1783. That, and the overriding condition that Ukraine never be part of NATO.
Odessa is Catherine the Great’s city. All the fencers that I know that came from Odessa to America post Soviet Union all spoke Russian and identified as Russian. None of them spoke Ukrainian.
Mr. Zelensky has thrown a wrench into the gears several times when a peace agreement seemed close at hand.
This time he may have reached the end. The President has bludgeoned the EU “Warriors” with an economic sledge hammer this year and told Z he’s done with him this week if he does not sign.
Wouldn’t be surprised to see him balk once again. A number of lifelines have been thrown to him by all the actors we know and despise so well.

The only option President Trump ever had was to stop all military and financial support to Ukraine. He should have done this from the start but was swayed by the Miz Lindseys and Kellogs in his sphere.
Without USA munitions and financial support Ukraine is dead in the water. The Euro’s are nothing more than ankle biters running around yapping.

Agreed. Zelensky cancelled elections and outlawed opposition parties. Zelensky is not legitimate leader of Ukraine so how can his agreement be binding on Ukraine. This is all such bad theater. The purpose of this is to legitimize Zelensky. No deal, walk away.
None of this matters. Russia will continue to move forward until they have reached all of their goals. Zelensky and all of Europe are entirely irrelevant. Either Zelensky capitulates, or Ukraine will cease to exist.

Zelenskyy agrees to ceasefire terms, only to have pesky Russia (aka CIA false flag op) break the deal.
The revised 19 point plan that Zelensky has agreed to is significantly different than President Trump’s 28 point peace plan. Russian officials have stated the 19 point version is not acceptable to them, which really amounts to Russia’s surrender. My guess is the narrative in the Western media will be that Zelensky is the good guy sincerely seeking peace, citing his agreeing to the peace plan, without distinguishing between the two plans, and that they will portray Russia as rejecting the effort to bring peace in Ukraine, which is false. The West will blame Russia for the failure of the peace negotiations.
Zelensky agreed to the minerals deal too, before he came into the Oval Office and opposed it in that disastrous WH meeting. Then eventually he had to agree to it again, after the damage was done.
The end to the war is the end to his and his cabal’s theft. It’s also the end of the money laundry sending donations back to US politicians. That’s why it won’t be allowed to happen.
