Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelenskyy is once again rejecting any consideration for President Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin to discuss terms for a ceasefire without his involvement.
On a Twitter storm Saturday, Zelenskyy rejected the thought of giving any Ukranian territory to Russia in exchange for peace. “The answer to the Ukrainian territorial question already is in the Constitution of Ukraine. No one will deviate from this—and no one will be able to. Ukrainians will not gift their land to the occupier,” Zelenskyy said.
President Trump announced that he would meet with Russian President Vladimir Putin on August 15, in Alaska.
Zelenskyy reacted, carrying the message from the global intelligence community who support the ongoing conflict, and does not like the idea of the USA and Russia determining the outcome for Ukraine.
Zelenskyy has banned opposition parties in Ukraine, taken control of media, targeted religious groups who he claims are subversive to his interests and cancelled elections in order to remain in power. Now Zelenskyy hides behind the claim of a constitution his regime modified in order to ensure he alone controls the pathways to peace.

However, of Mr. Zelenskyy was all that serious about winning the war, he should have ensured 110% of the aid went into actual defense, that ALL citizens were subject to the draft, and he should have worked towards winning “hearts and minds” of all citizens, including those of the Russian Orthodox faith. Instead, he’s led and personally benefitted from a kleptocract oligarchy, wasting irreplaceable men, military materials, and the cash resources needed to support them. They declared independence. The regime in Kiev sent troops to suppress the separatists. So basically it was a civil war.
Later in 2022 Russia, which was supporting the eastern Ukrainian separatists , actively invaded Eastern Ukraine, triggered largely by the push by the EU and Kiev for Ukraine to join NATO.
So when you say you support Ukraine’s bid for independence, do you mean the Western Ukrainians who tilt toward the EU, or eastern Ukraine, who tilt toward Russia?

Russia’s exporting of oil has supported the war, and even though the price of oil and its exports have declined, India remains a large importer of Russian oil.
Trump has said he will increase tariffs on India if it continues to import Russian oil. I wish he would do that. I understand China also imports Russian oil but China is also the world’s second largest economy and cannot be pushed around.
In contrast, India is the 4th or 5th largest economy but it has severe economic problems. India’s average income per person remains extremely low, with a huge portion of the population still living near or below the poverty line.
Unlike China, India cannot endure a long economic tariff war.

I have not heard any partners express doubts about America’s ability to ensure that the war ends.
The President of the United States has the levers and the determination.
Ukraine has supported all of President Trump’s proposals, starting back in February.
Ceasefire, all formats have been supported.
What is needed now is not a pause in the killings, but a real, lasting peace.
Not a ceasefire sometime in the future, in months, but immediately. President Trump told me so, and I fully support it.
There must be a just end to the war, and it is Russia that must end the war it started.
Ukraine and all partners share the same understanding of the need for a ceasefire, for an end to the killings.
There is only one actor opposing this – Putin.
His only card is the ability to kill, and he is trying to sell the cessation of killings at the highest possible price. It is important that this does not mislead anyone.
Results are needed at the leaders’ level. Dignified results, results that will save lives, that the world will value, and for which it will be grateful to the leader who delivers them.
Putin was allowed to take Crimea, and this led to the occupation in Donetsk and Luhansk regions.
He received no preventive punishment when he amassed a contingent on our borders.
This led to the full-scale war and the occupation of even more parts of Ukraine.
Now Putin wants to be forgiven for seizing the south of our Kherson region, Zaporizhzhia, the entire territory of Luhansk and Donetsk regions, and Crimea.
We will not allow this second attempt to partition Ukraine.
Knowing Russia – where there is a second, there will be a third. That is why we stand firm, on clear Ukrainian positions. We must end the war with a dignified peace, based on a clear and reliable security architecture.

None of these MBM (Mockingbird Media) sources know what transpired between Witkoff and Putin with regards to the initial framework for the talks. ALL of them are doing what they can to sabotage the talks.
IF, the idea is for the Russians to allow the Ukrainians to control Zaporizhia, as Politico (German ownership) states, then I think Putin is making a big mistake. The nuclear powerplant there must remain in Russian hands to ensure long term peace in the region.
But, like I said, none of the MBM is trustworthy on this matter, so we will see. I expect the actual land swap to be Sumy for Zap. I also put the odds of the talks reaching a peace successfully at about 20%. But you have to try… and if they fail, Trump has a magnificent off-ramp he can take.

The Current Regime in Ukraine has silenceg the Media, Clergy and it’s own people. It has declared itself above it’s own People and their right to chose their own leadership.
Leadership has enrichied itself while alowing millions to die and millions more to be displaced. The US Citizenry has lost all confidence in the current regime. For the US to even consider aid of anykind at this time we need to see an imediate change in leadership followed by elections as soon as they can be set up.
It is hoped that you can influence Europe to hold back any further aid of any kind until this is resolved. Further it is hoped that russia would only act defensively until the intial change of leadership could be inacted.
We cannot continue to support this losing war of attrition for the sole bennefit of the corrupt merchants of death.
Europe won’t spend a dime of their own money on Ukraine. Europeans and especially Germans are the cheapest people I have ever dealt with. They will manipulate the United States to pay for Ukraine just like we pay for NATO and everything else!
