In this interview, British pundit Neil Oliver and Canadian David Krayden discuss how in the wake of the recent election Alberta separatism is gaining momentum. Elected Prime Minister Mark Carney’s net zero energy policies could push Canada towards economic crisis, with fears of higher taxes and a loss of national identity.
Krayden outlines why some Canadians believe Alberta could become the 51st US state and how Donald Trump’s surprising support for Carney is fueling debate in Candian conservative circles. Was there a plan behind Trump’s approach? WATCH:

Not politics, but watch his program on Britbox called Ancient Britain. It’s outstanding.
Would love to annex Alberta! They can have Maine in exchange!
Minnesota
Just the southern half.
No. the east coast of Washington and Oregon
West
How nice of you to stand in solidarity and voice your support for the many thousands of conservatives in Washington and Oregon who are at this moment fighting back and battling the evil that surrounds them.
How very nice of you.
Yep, we Canadians that are 100% President Trump feel the same way.
However it is wise for me not to take it personally.
Cheers
Amen, dear neighbor.
Amen.
Cheers back to ya.
Well Dekester,
While having Alberta voluntarily sign on as the 51st State of the United States sounds very cool, what with the good memories I’ve had of traveling back and forth to Canada many times while growing up ever since I was a little kid, I’m praying for ALL of Canada to once again become the True North Strong and Free, and great again alongside of an America which is great again.
Re: “I’m praying for ALL of Canada to once again become the True North Strong and Free, and great again alongside of an America which is great again.”
I’m an American, and nothing would suit me better than to have back the Canada of old. But the sad fact is that your once-proud nation is in the grip of the communists, globalists, the Chinese, the Muslims, the Indians, anyone it seems but heritage Canadians. And until those factions are driven out or at least back significantly, nothing will change.
I was upset-enough at Fidel Castro’s bastard son, Justin Trudeau, being your “leader,” but this fellow Carney is not an improvement at all. Why? He is in the pockets of the same oligarchs, billionaires and globalists that Trudeau was. Meet the new boss, same as the old boss.
I was dismayed to read that under Trudeau, the Canadian armed forces welcomed the forces of the PRC – communist China – onto your soil for join drills and exercises. That’s known around these parts as “consorting with the enemy.” What do they call it up there? And how are we in the ‘States supposed to react to someone like Carney, who appears to be if anything even worse than Trudeau?
The people of Canada are as-decent and trustworthy as ever, I devoutly hope, but what of your backstabbing leaders who act like enemies of this country? We share a very long border; are we supposed to simply ignore the fact that your country is a jumping-off point for infiltrators of all kinds?
Now, I read that Carney is asking to join the EU, and is hinting that his government will regard the U.S. as an enemy. This isn’t good, not at all. We didn’t ask for it, but we’re getting it anyway.
To understand Canada and its voters, you should equate it with Oregon, Washington state. The vast rural sub-urban areas of Canada largely are Conservative, far harder Conservative values than the national party. However the cities dominate the elections, with a considerable amount of Gerrymandering to ensure the rural vote impact is minimum.. You see very similar incidences in several US states as indicated above.
Many Canadians would like to have the old America back as well. As someone with family on both sides of the 49th I find it uncomfortable that we are now being treated like invaders after decades of travel back and forth and spending our time and money enjoying what America has to offer. It seems being white has become a problem for some of us.
Note: I’m an American who has traveled to Canada and am praying for Canada …
Agreed Georgiaboy61.
Like others have said, Canada goes by the way of Toronto, Ottawa, Vancouver and Montreal. Sorta like here at home where metro Atlanta out votes the rest of the State. Of course, I remember when Cobb, North Fulton (formerly Milton) and Gwinnett were conservative counties.
Yeah all that, however I seem to remember Obama and Biden..
They are lagging behind in the The Awakening, but it took us a good while too.
You do ALL us PROUD, Dekester!
Bravo! And TY.
Exactly. The Conservatives here in Ontario and there are a lot of us outside the Toronto area, appreciate being cast in with the Leftist loons. However, my husband and I were big Trump supporters from the get go and our feathers repel woke rain.
Sending you hugs of support and very best wishes, GwenEcho.
I am on the west edge of the Olympic Peninsula and don’t understand most of WA or OR. I wonder where is the east coast of WA and OR…bill
You’re my homeboy.
I’m not quite as far west, but still in the woods and close enough to count.
We’ve gotta hang tough.
The eastern parts of both Washington and Oregon are about 95% consecutive. Given the chance , the people in the eastern parts of those states would pay to be severed from the left sides of both communist states
We will call it North Texas…….
We could just add it onto Montana…
THIS!
Eliminates the flag and Senate problem; only increases the House by 6 or 7 representatives.
Making it a state could add two very valuable senators.
Yes, if they’re going to be pro-MAGA, pro-Trump Senators. We don’t need more undependable RINOs.
That would only be a temporary thing if admitting Alberta as its own State. There is precedent for this with the admission of both Alaska and Hawaii to the Union adding two Representatives for a total of 437. This was in the years following the Reapportionment Act of 1929 which formally fixed the size of the House of Representatives to 435.
Once the next census occurs the House would be reapportioned, with California being one standing to lose more Reps proportionally than most other States.
Though there’s nothing magic about 435. Congress could enlarge the HoR if they wanted to; could make it 1000 for example.
Hollywood elites are ruining Montana, taking over the Bozeman area.
Whoa…. I live in North Texas
Yes, and so do I Texas sub vet. I don’t think so, as we have a North Texas already! No thank you please.
….the more things change, the more the remain the same.
Yep, 100%..
The first time I was awake to voter fraud was in the 80’s when Rene Leveque was cruising to a separatist win for Quebec.
His numbers were unbeatable and the crowds at his rallies were Trumpesque.
Then miraculously he lost 51/49 or thereabouts.
Eastern Canada would have lost their power should secessionists have won.
Already in Canada “ the knives are out for P.M. Smith of Alberta.
The Feds are bribing Alberta Native bands to
attempt to break treaties.
Cheers!
Oh I don’t doubt they are…
Haven’t I just read the number of votes needed in Alberta to trigger efforts to secede have been reduced from around 250,000 to 177,000? Sounds as if things are getting serious now. Once Carney laces up his jackboots, bet they heat up pretty fast.
Interesting times!
Numerous youngsters from British Columbia have moved to Conservative regions of Alberta.
A for example, a few years back an mid thirties old school friend of our older son, sold his 2 bedroom 2 bath condo here in Greater Vancouver.
He moved to a lovely midsize city in Alberta, one that is very Conservative and family friendly.
With the profit from his Condo, on which he had a mortgage. He purchased a 2000 + lovely home, is now mortgage free with a “nice cushion” in the bank.
Things are a changing!
Cheers!
Slowly, slowly, then all at once, my friend..
By our Father’s good grace 😌🙏🏻
And we welcome them Dekester as long as they are willing to work hard and have a positive attitude.
The good thing is that the media in Canada portrays Alberta as redneck and racist which generally keeps the Liberal and NDP types from the rest of Canada away.
Our Premier has a campaign named “Alberta Calling” which is luring tradespeople and people in the medical field from across Canada.
It will be interesting to see how this all pans out.
Yep, this school friend was a trades guy..loves to work.
Is super fit and has a terrific wife and two little ones.
Unless they are “ from money” Our youngsters here in Greater Vancouver are also headed to towns on Vancouver Island.
One we know just bought into a prominent automobile dealership, another is making “serious coin” with his HVAC ticket.
The monied, retired duffers like me, and welfare bums will be all that is left within the decade in Greater Vancouver.
Cheers!
Wealthy Chinese will fill the gap, they are already there.
Hope they leave socialism where it was.
Same here.
They’ve opened the funding floodgates to them and unleashed the local tribe on us. Things are becoming dangerously ugly.
Hah! They had it figured out in 1915 !
Amazing but not surprising, the more we learn about accurate history…..
Tragic that educationists have been attempting to manipulate that accurate history, GB.
Those who don’t learn from it are doomed to repeat it whilst those who did have to sit on the sidelines and watch.
(Can’t remember where I read that, but thought to myself, “Brother, THAT’S the truth!” 😎)
110 years ago – the editorial cartoonist was right then – and right now.

Unfortunately too many dumb people in the world that will never wake up.
Dumb people are the most dangerous people in any society!
Northern Maine voted for Trump – twice. Jared Golden (D) walks a fine line because of this. As someone who lives in CD2 we are not yet ready to fold. Down state drives the politics but Mills and her compadres are slowing negating themselves. She is term limited. The boys/trans in sports law suits are still in play and will work against the dems.
Does Rightedtheship live in Maine?
If you do, please make a decision to leave for yourself. If you don’t, observe, but please don’t interfere.
Will we turn Maine around? I don’t know. Have I considered leaving myself. Yes. But no place to go.
I fed more deer this winter than there are people in my town. No roaches, rats pidgeons or dog shit on the curb. Yes I grew up in NYC. Only mosquitos, ticks, black flies and horse flies. Then we have the eagles, loons and moose. Yesterday I saw my first red fox. And no, she was not wearing a wig or high heels.
Entire west coast!
BIG AMEN TO THAT EXCHANGE!!
Yes, can we generate some swaps.
Your post caused me to shake my head, the 50 likes are what prompted me to reply. Your post reminds me of my fathers oft repeated sayings. ” It’s better to be silent and thought a fool then to speak out and remove all doubt”. As to the 50 likes, ” You need to use your head(s) for more than just a hat rack!” As to exchanging Maine, I was born here, have lived here all my life and will (sooner rather than later) die here. For those that have never been to Maine or have any interest in it I’d like to say………thanks!
NO NO NO!! We do NOT need a 51st state. Just make them part of Montana and be done with it. They are immediately US Citizens, we don’t add any more senators (when we could do with a lot fewer) and given the small population of Alberta, it doesn’t even add many to the House of Representatives.
I love the idea of a conservative 51st state smack in the middle bifurcating Canada in half. The ultimate FAFO. 😎🇺🇸
Or, by merging into Montana, a conservative Montana becoming the largest state in the union…
A separate state bring with it two more senators. And if their conservatives it would Shirley be a win.
Shirley, you can’t be joking!
Saskatchewan said if Alberta leaves they will join them so USA would get 2 new conservative states.
Supporting Polivier would be like supporting Mitt Romney, or Paul Ryan.
PP is a Uniparty GLOBULLUST, and as such capable of more damage than Carney is.
So, instead we supported Chuck Schumer.
I’m still scratching my head on that one!”
Objectively, the MAGA movement is bigger and stronger after 4 years of Joe, than it would have been with President Trump being our 46th.
If you can grasp that, you can grasp PDJT not sopporting Poliviere, the putz.
Perhaps a REAL MACA Candidate will rise up, disgusted by Carney, much as Obummer motivated DJT to enter politics.
Do you get it NOW,….Joe?
Yup , couldn’t hide his true colors .
There has been a pattern in the historical potential for Alberta secession. The way it played out over the decades is that the Liberals would gain power and the PM. The secession movements would solidify and start making headway. Then as they started gaining traction a “conservative” would pop up and take “power” (Mulroney, Harper). Whenever this happened the secession talk immediately ceased as these candidate ran on “reform.” Alberta, of course, ended up continuing getting the short end of the stick.
What’s different this time is that the Liberals have totally made Canada vulnerable on just about every facet of government, and then, was still able to extend their power after 10 years of absolute failure. Additionally, the leader (Carney) is an environmental zealot who historically represents the nemesis of Alberta’s lifeblood. Alberta traded $161 Billion with the US last year. More than they produced for their own country.
“While the Québécois—and to a slightly lesser degree the rest of Canada—now need Alberta to maintain their standard of living, the Albertans now need not to be a part of Canada in order to maintain theirs.”–( Peter Zeihan – 2014 – The Accidental Superpower)
Peter Ziehan is extremely sharp ; although of late I think he has TDS . If so , what a waste of talent .
He has an advanced case of TDS. He’s been carrying on about the “Trump firehose of chaos.”
I’m wondering if he has a financial stake in this kind of doubleplus goodthink. I guess it depends on who his big customers are.
And do you see the parrallel with the U.S., where the Uniparty controlled outcomes, so that every 8 yrars we went from a Dem advancing their goals at breakneck speed, causing as a reaction a rise in “conservatism” so then they give us 8 years of fake conservatism, where those wily libs keep outsmarting “the party of stupid” until finally we had had it, and started the tea party movement, which recognised it was the Uniparty Republicans that we needed to target.
MAYBE Carney will be Canadas Obummer, he is certainly every bit as phoney.
And, maybe a REAL voice will rise up to represent the people, instead of that phoney PP.
Max Bernier?
Yes to Bernier! He is more common sense than Carney and Pollivre combined.
If voting polls were run like they were decades ago: paper ballots, ID, no mail in except military, same day voting and results we would see 70% of USA and Canada are conservatives with moral foundation and obey laws!
51st State.
…
“Trump’s surprising support for Carney is fueling debate in Candian (Canadian) conservative circles.”
It’s likely fueling even more debate in American conservative circles..
Trump yanking people’s chains once again. It would be funny if it did not show the level of thought here in canada.
SWEEEEET!!
Welcome home TRUMPBERTA!!!

😉
TRUMP WANTED THE LIBERALS TO WIN SO THE CONSERVATIVES WOULDN’T BE RESPONSIBLE WHEN TRUMP DESTROYS THEM !
More than a little truth, there. The Conservatives then can be the ones who come in to pick up the pieces, and save the day.
A similar operation is going on, over in the 27 countries comprising the EU, and several aspiring to become members…
Having Alberta become the 51st U.S. state is far preferable than having all of Canada, because the province leans to to conservative side and comes without all of Ontario’s woke baggage.
Interestingly, Alberta and Alaska are nearly identical in size, (within 4,000 square miles), rich in natural resources and with 6 times Alaska’s population it would make an excellent addition to the contiguous states and serve as an ideal example for the rest of our neighbor to the north, to show what real prosperity looks like without a woke albatross around their necks.
My less than informed prediction (repeated before):
Congress passes the Alberta Admissions Act, February 10, 2027.
The new state capitol of Alberta, the City of Edmonton, raises the 51-star flag
July 4, 2027.
(Hey! It could happen)
The world 🌎 is starting to move at the speed of DJT.

Wow.
Two men, who see the reality about them.
The Canadian gentleman appreciates what DJT has accomplished in his first 100 days as President… yet cannot perceive why the push for tariffs… and the supposed endorsement of Carney.
I was born in Manhattan.
My folks grew up on 174th st.
Lived in the orbit of NYC most of my life.
What is it, that is so hard for so many people to understand about the way President Trump talks????
Is he speaking a secret language, which only people from ‘the City’ or Queens – or the outer boroughs – understands???
Oh my goodness.
This Canadian
podcaster David Krayden is obviously a decent intelligent man, but he
Just
Doesn’t
Totally
Get
DJT.
He Almost does.
But not quite.
Interesting that he sees the Alberta separatist movement growing rapidly, within the next few months.
Very interesting and informative discussion.
I almost feel as if Canada 🍁 is being described in the past tense.
Mr Krayden is quite somber about the future of the Canadian Confederation.
I didn’t expect to see the USSR dissolve, either.
But it did.
If That can happen… who’s to say what the immediate future holds for what we now
call Canada?
President Trump is envisioning a world 🌎
that few of us are able to imagine.
Reading CTH gives me some insight into what that world may be like.
They got a leftist lean. No thanks.
My perspective only:
The more Krayden talked, the more you realize Pierre Poilievre had someone else pulling his strings.
Idk, It is almost
Romney-esque.
The dude had a handler to help him lose.
I agree re Krayden’s comments –
The bits and bobs I have read refer to Jennie Byrne as his campaign manager – she was also the campaign manager of PM
Stephen Harper when he lost to Trudeau in 2015 (!) PP was good at rallies but had a fear of being labeled Right Wing.
When some of his MPs met with European free speech advocate Christine Andersen PP gave his MPs a real dressing down!
Thank you, Sundance!
So much info to sort through!
Alberta, with a population of 4.2 million, would be 28th in the list of states by population, just behind Oregon. Might also consider adding Alberta to Montana (1.1 million) which would give us an Altana state at 5.3 million, 24th on the list, just behind South Carolina. Thing is, if they want to come, what the hey.

I find it hard to believe Canada is going to meekly allow Alberta to go its own way.
What is Ottawa going to do? Muster the Canadian military to prevent succession?
I just do not see them putting up more than a token resistance to it without involving third parties.
I wasn’t thinking they would go that route. They will do just enough to convince Albertans to stay in Canada.
Barring force, lawfare will be the go-to.
There will be no niceties in this. The (economic) beatings will continue until morale improves.
Re: “What is Ottawa going to do? Muster the Canadian military to prevent succession?”
Don’t put it past Ottawa to call the Chinese military for help. They’re certainly tight-enough with them to have an “in” with Beijing. Justin Trudeau spent his time in office copying up to Xi Xinping, so it is possible. It sounds far-fetched, but stranger things have happened.
Yep.
I think they’d try to join the EU and call in NATO in a heartbeat.
And NATO command is going to call in what force and logistics that are not primarily American?
Until which time NATO members step up and contribute more of their own resources, it could not function without America doing most of the work. But I digress.
Joining the EU is not a good idea for Canada. If they insist on fooling around some more they will find out.
Yeah, ain’t it great how that works? lol!
I think they are that stupid.
They’re also probably malignant enough to turn to china.
Please, it’s just Montana.
No name change for my state. And we are a feisty, independent lot out here in The Last Best Place. I’m not sure even conservative Canadians are gonna fit in with us. There are lots and lots of guns, for example. They sure aren’t used to that.
Yet, seems the expectation by the comments is that Alberta should not keep their name, wouldn’t want to keep their name, we do not want Albertans as 51st state, just the land mass. Keep up the name-changing game and we already say thanks but no thanks, kicking a gift horse in the mouth.
Why do they have to be a state and not just a territory? Perhaps there is some legal issue?
No love for Manitoba?
Let’s go Brandon! (City in Manitoba)
Heck, yeah! Manitoba would be great!
Alberta, U.S.A.
Alberta, U.S.A.
Alberta, U.S.A.
Hmmm?
Has a nice ring to it.
Maybe Messrs. Oliver and Krayden read CTH? Sundance ha trained us to look behind the curtains:

PDJT does not want all of canada as the 51st state. Why would he want two new woke democrat senators and a lot of new democrat congresscritters?
Alberta alone would make a compatible 51st state. Alberta is rich in minerals and energy resources. Alberta has been and is treated very badly by the rest of canada. Alberta is not crazy-liberal or beholden to the
british crown. It is legally possible for Alberta to leave canada without approval of the rest of canada.
PDJT’s 51st state proposal was specifically directed to just Alberta, and was intended to assist the election of the canadian liberals who were behind in the polls by 20-25 points before PDJT’s overtures. If the new canadial government does not stop treating Alberta so badly, thee is a good chance they will split. Such succession is legally allowable in canada, without approval of the rest of canada. But the liberal canadian government is broke and needs to continue extracting fron Alberta, while also politically promoting Anti-Alberta “save the earth” policies.
Interesting plan by PDJT.

No import tarrifs for Alberta (or NT and Yukon) when they are states. And they could not be exploited by the rest of “canada”.
“canada” can keep quebec, toronto, vancouver, etc.
This would flummox the long-established British goal of preventing contiguity and collaboration between the US and russia

Alberta, Saskatchewan and Yukon are the only 3 which had majority ‘conservative’ vote. At ~65% ‘conservative vote, they represent a potential secession opportunity, given their exploitation by the liberals. The additional adverse effects of new tariffs on canadian oil and mining would ‘go away’ if they seceeded.
So it will be interesting to see how the canadian tariff negotiations work out. Canada will want to eliminate tariffs on oil and mineral products, to remove the ‘secession carrot’ while continuing its internal exploitation of the Alberta economy. If PDJT actually wants Alberta secession, return on manufacturing jobs, stopping backdoor entry of Chinese products and components into the US via canada, and prioritization of the US oil/gas industry, he will keep the Alberta-focused tariffs. The canadian fentanyl cartel support issues can be dealt with separately by other means.

Alberta (and Saskatchawan) probably won’t take kindly to forced vaccinations.
51st state, here we come.
“…fears of higher taxes and a loss of national identity.”
Possibly more folks obsess over the former when they should give more serious thought to the latter.
What about the shadow gov PNWER they been calling the shots since the late 1980’s. They control Western North America from California to Alaska to Manitoba and all states and province’s in between . They want their own Nation too…so many rulers so few planets.
PNWER advances “environmental sustainability”. DOGE needs to visit them. PNWER might scare Alberta away.
trade DC for alberta,.
This David Krayden guy is a lib who has put on a conservative suit…Canada’s Bill Kristol
Blames Trump for Carney’s win a couple of times.
Doesn’t like the fact of US tariffs…but apparently is fine with Canada’s tariffs.
He mentioned something about the amount of migrants in Canada now and not being pleased with it…
Really? https://www.ipolitics.ca/2015/10/28/a-conservative-case-for-ramping-up-immigration-a-lot/
Yes – you noticed that too, about Canada’s tariffs in certain US products?
Mr Krayden had nary a mention of those, now did he???
Seems like a decent guy (a polite Canadian),
But has trouble realizing how President Trump framed the whole ‘51st State’ issue.

Massive Illegal Immigration & Fraud Happening in Canada Right Now
A BC immigration consultant found her name was illegally used to sponsor immigrants to come in for jobs.
Then it was revealed that recent enforcement blitzes shut down more than 5,000 web pages and social media pages advertising phony immigration consultants and immigration to Canada. These outfits provide forged documents.
Probably every immigration consultant in Canada, and there are a lot, is being used by groups creating forged documents with their names on them.
It’s also possible that all of these immigration consultants are involved in the fraud and then claim they know nothing about it when it is discovered.
This David Krayden does not get our beloved president AT ALL. Of course, President Trump had a plan for backing the creepy Mark Carney.
Canada voted for him and they will suffer for it.
You know, Anne… the more I re-read you comment… the more I have to say that you may be more right than I am.
I was perhaps giving Mr Krayden too much credit in ‘getting’ our President… but if he cannot understand the concept behind the tariffs – and how DJT says things just to ‘shake things up’… then though he may be a ‘nice guy’ … Krayden lacks the courage/ability to stop pretending. 🙈
And until Canadians stop pretending
‘All is well’ by electing
People like Carney – following on the heels of Trudeau – the gas pedal is flat to the floor… as the car named Canada 🇨🇦 careens towards the cliff.
Canada with exception of a couple of western provinces would be much more happy being run by EU bureaucrats from Brussels.
How sad.
Careful what you wish for.
DC and Puerto Rico will likely be inserted into the discussion.
DC is a non-starter, no matter what leftists claim.
Puerto Rico 🇵🇷 has factions that:
Support independence
Support statehood
Support the status qou.
There’s not enough agreement among its residents to change what they have, for something else.
Was there a plan in Trump’s approach?
Yes.
I thought of it before Trump came out in “support” of him. It is the only way to shift Canada further left, inflame Western (aka Alberta) anxiety, and Conservative despair over having the Liberals rule the country, again, after a decade.
I’m not a genius, as Trump is in many ways. If I thought that, that early, there must’ve been many others.
Alberta will likely have a referendum in the spring of 2026. Declare independence in May, next year.
Trump will have to move fast, and invite Alberta in over the Summer 2026.
Alberta joins the Union by Sept/Oct 2026, just before mid-terms!
Pride in America swells, and the GOP wins massive. Enough to remove corrupt judges, and do the other work.
Next?
Saskatchewan for 2028.

Hey!
I like your thinking!
My thoughts are that
Congress won’t vote to admit Alberta as a state until
After
the November 2026 elections…
but I could be wrong
(No kidding lol).
The world is getting used to the speed of sound – the supersonic speed of
DJT.
I am 100% certain that Pierre Poilievre did not want to win this election. He was a stand-in for the Conservative Party.
The guy is well-entrenched in his nice cushy job, a great home, and a family of many very young kids. Comfortable and happy, he is. And he knows he doesn’t have the expertise to lead a nation, he’s not savvy enough.
And that is my opinion of the guy.
Agreed.
Listening to the interview, I wanted to smack that guy, who thought Polly Ver was great with his rallies but was simply “short-sighted” in not engaging the Liberal Media, that it’s plain as the nose on his face that Polly Ver is the Canadian Uniparty control agent, to suck up Conservative attention and enthusiasm and energy, with no intention of spreading that message and building a winning hand for the sake of the values he pretends to.
Polly Ver had no intention of winning, just sidelining the sane conservative folk, with a faux dignified mien.
A Mitt Romney clone?
‘Polly wants a cracker?’
Does Polly Want a vote – or not?
Good point about rallies vs ‘spreading the message’ via new media.
Pretty Polly gets all the already-converted conservatives at rallies – gets their attention and energy.
But does NOT engage with the wider group of Canadian voters, who may be receptive to an honest conservative message.
If a schmoe like me can see this disconnect – how can the leader of a political party Not recognize his strategy of Not reaching as many potential voters as possible… as a
bass-ackwards move??
Mr Krayden has to know, in his heart ❤️ and brain 🧠… that PP (Pretty Polly) doesn’t really want to be PM.
Sometimes you gotta call a spade ♠️
A spade ♠️
The reluctance (or inability) of a political observer such as Mr Krayden to call out such scheming bodes ill for any hope that Canada can reverse the trajectory it’s on – Canadians are like a motorist who sees a sign ahead that warns:
“Danger! Bridge Out!”
… and steps on the gas – and floors it.
Pierre Poilievre is the Canadian Mitt Romney. Always ready to do what’s best for himself.
Sounds like America.

Canada’s problem in the last twenty years is being friendly with Communist China and accepting all kinds of immigrants from there.
Politically doomed, no need to elaborate here of course.
And also economically doomed. For instance, tragedy like Nortel vs Huawei, and many ‘retired’ immigrants who buy expensive houses here but have ways to get Canadian social welfares for “low incomes” by hiding their assets and incomes in Communist China.
Up until now, Canada has been able to slide farther into dystopia without major consequences due to the proximity with the US and the largesse of the US. However, The US has begun to push back against globalism and tyranny.
Canada’s election is an indicator of the EU too. After a 10 year disaster under Trudeau, Canada voted for even more tyranny. The EU and UK are farther down the rabbit hole than Canada. The West is crumbling. The race hatred of whites is stunning. The wave of Islamic Sharia is closer than we think. The light up ahead may not be the dawn of a new day, but the light of the train to tyranny.
The C F L will save Canada 🍁.

The answer to Oliver’s question about the Boomers is inertia. Inertia is the most powerful force in human affairs and the older you get the more it dominates. This is especially true in media consumption which affects perception.
To paraphrase the late great Fred Thompson as Admiral Josh Painter in “The Hunt for Red October”
Alberta is a lot like Texas. While it may be considered ‘conservative’ or Republican leaning, it has it’s finger wetting politicians and outright corruptocrats (Cornyn/Dade Phelan) to worry about.
Both Alberta and Texas have what may be two of the most tyrannical medical associations in the two countries where doctors are still under assault.

An hour well spent listening to Neil Oliver and David Krayden discuss current events comprising the UK, Canada, and the United States. Everything that they discussed regarding taxes, housing costs, immigration legal and illegal, and the effects on boomers like me and young people is spot on. I will be very surprised if Mr. Krayden is no on a watch list of Mark Carney’s already for reeducation purposes. It seems Canada has run out of other people’s money as Margaret Thatcher had warned more than a few years ago.
Our “Globalist Financiers” have resorted to new tactics.. As we’ve recently seen in both Germany and Canada, rather than risk funding any more Leftist losers, they’re now simply buying Govts themselves!
“You know how dumb the average person is? Well half of them are dumber than that.” Failing to deeply understand and accept this precept is why Neil can’t understand why Canadians don’t . . .
And it’s hard to listen to a Canadian bitch about 25% tarrifs without mentioning his own countries tarrifs.
One cannot dismiss the prospect of the 2 addl US Senators and 6 more House members that could result from Alberta’s succession..
Trump is a long range planner. He does not look at just tomorrow, next month next year. He plans far, far into the future. He sort of backed Carney because Canadians need to see the left for what they REALLY are. He seeded the ‘idea’ of joining the US and then backed the left because he knew Canadians would fight any right wing suggestion of working with Trump in a serious way. So you back the opposition making things WORSE than before and Canadians will soon welcome working with the States. Canada is like the US. Very patriotic, fight to the death, blah, blah, blah. He is using that but the Canadian’s ire must be turned toward another foe and that would be the left, not Trump.
I’m getting sick of journos–even the few that are willing to stand up to lefties–and getting sick of anyone and everyone who speaks of “supporters of environmentalism” or who speaks of the even the stronger identifier, “supporters of environmental extremism.”
Can we NOT stop pretending, as Sundance has urged? Would we not have much more success speaking of these politicians, American or Canadian or Brit, or whatver, as “thieves, grifters”?
Can’t we give the iconic American middle finger to the faux polite
crowd who gasp, “You can’t call someone those things unless you prove it”?
Why, yes, we can.
This former head of the Bank of England, this newly elected PM of Canada? His extremism is not the result of believing the Lies of this Century. He’s just the latest placed in a position of power to keep YOU and ME believing those lies so that he and his friends can pass any damn kind of legislation imaginable to make sure the spoils of power remain theirs.
There should be monstrous crowds of people in both the US and Canada who shout down either with angry words or with collective guffaws of derisive laughter any time and every time a politician speaks of CLIMATE HORRORS.
The scorn should be so great, none of them dare to take a stage, whether it be Bernie, AOC, Carney, any of them!
This was a very interesting discussion. My husband’s mom was born in Canada, and his family has a family reunion there every 2 years, (which we have not attended for about 10 years) so listening to where Canada is now was disheartening to say the least. It was also my impression that the older generation went so liberal, like they needed somehow to bend over backwards to prove how caring and compassionate they are to every immigrant or every globalist.
These are liberals like those in the US dem party: many have no idea that the democrat party functions as a globalist party, lying all the time about their policies and objectives. In fact, their policies are so terrible nobody will vote for them. So they often talk about being compassionate to every victim as if that is what they offer as policy solutions to the problems we have as a country.
I also was struck with how we, in the US felt when Biden Mr. Global got “selected” in 2020: we were feeling something wasn’t right, and we also felt our freedoms going, after the Jan 6 event. There were many efforts to censor speech online, Sundance wrote a lot about it and warned us about the coming surveillance methods.
In England either yesterday or today, someone posted something about being against illegal immigration and the police knocked on their door about 4 hours later and took them to prison. This is the direction Canada is going under Mark Carney.
I can’t fathom how so many intelligent Canadians could have fallen for the PSYOP about Donald Trump. They were told a bunch of lies about it and believed all of them. Sad that they could just go ahead and believe a bunch of lies without trying to find out the truth.
So here’s the difference between us and the Canadians. Since the Tea Party American conservatives have been doing research and learning about our republic, and our history, learning about the Constitution, and not just taking someone’s words as the objective truth without looking into it.
Canadians need to do this work for themselves: What did Canada used to stand for? What would it take to bring Canada back to her senses? What happened that allowed these globalists to get a foot in the door and take control and try to destroy their country? What can they do about it now? Canadians maybe should start some study groups or organize online to figure out some of these things, so they could understand what Trump meant about reciprocal tariffs. Or maybe they can find this website and learn about what Americans have been learning from each other and Sundance and apply some of it to Canada.
The one thing I disagreed with David Krayden on was this: he said it was just wrong for Trump to charge 25% tariffs on all Canadian goods. But it was okay when Canada put those kinds of tariffs on the US?
You see, he doesn’t quite understand fully that the US was subsidizing Canadians’ lifestyle because of the tariffs, and it cost Americans out life style. So it’s not about “tit for tat” but about making tariffs reciprocal and really fair so that neither side is taken advantage of. That’s the goal of the negotiations. It was not about taking anything away from Canada except their tariffs which helped them manage at our expense.
If Canadians could see this, they would get beyond their TDS, and realize Trump wasn’t talking about taking Canada away from Canada and giving all of Canada to the US. When Justin Trudeau said Canada would implode economically if the tariffs were changed, Trump then said, “Ok maybe Canada can become part of the US.” It was simply to underline the real problem that Canada is in economically, and that problem Canada needs to address.
But Mark Carney has no policies to offer that will address Canada’s stagnating economy. His policies will rape Canada further.
Maybe after a time with Carney driving businesses out of Canada, people losing jobs, and maybe a recession or a depression, maybe the people will say, Enough! This is the WRONG DIRECTION!
At least a woman can hope!
Krayden points out that if DJT had advocated for Pierre it would have hurt him. Is is possible DJT endorsed Carney in order to hurt the Carney campaign, but it didn’t work? Just spit balling………
