The letters were photoshopped over the knuckles to illustrare visually that the tattoos translated as MS-13. They are intended to be somewhat obscure, like a code, but the tattoos themselves weren’t photoshopped.
Whoever added it could have overlayed the text in a better way so it didn’t look like they were faking tattoos, but they probably did it quickly.

Agree, very disappointed that this initial budget has carved out NO net reductions in spending. One may argue that defense needs a big boost, but I would dare those proponents to come back with hard cuts in old established areas no longer necessary. President Trump cannot promise to cut spending and not deliver, especially while cutting domestic programs that deserve to be cut.
War spending is among the most sacred cows of all in Congress. Major program cuts affect their local districts. Nevermind that some of the weapons are proven to be ineffective or outdated. Same with military bases…sacred cows.
I love President Trump, but have always been suspicious of his plans for budget control. He loves to cut taxes or create incentives…and he SHOULD in some areas, but he is also a big spender. I can already predict the conservative caucus will push back on this budget, and they should.

One middle school principal under whom I was blessed to have worked for the last 3 years of my career did something similar with the 6th-8th grade boys. I think it was called “Wednesday Tie Day” or something similar. He was an amazing Christian man (and he didn’t care if it was a “public” school – he shared his faith with the whole student body.)
He was such a good role model for these kids!
It’s the small gestures, or the lack of them, mom, which can have the greatest influence on the young. I bet each time in the future those youngsters put ties on, they see this kind, wise, good hearted man in their memories.
I am so glad you shared the story. There are some very special people still in this old world.

Update (1200ET): US equity markets extended gains this morning following a report from The Wall Street Journal that Beijing is considering ways to address the Trump administration’s gripes over China’s role in the fentanyl trade, potentially offering an off-ramp from hostilities to allow for trade talks to start.
So, despite all the legacy media’s claims that ‘no’ talks were under way, WSJ reports that Chinese leader Xi Jinping’s security czar, Wang Xiaohong, in recent days has been inquiring about what the Trump team wants China to do when it comes to fentanyl.
In a visible shift in tone Friday, China’s Commerce Ministry said it was weighing starting talks with the U.S. to halt a trade war while expressing Beijing’s wish for the Trump administration to “show sincerity” to talk. Previously, the ministry had demanded that Washington slash its steep tariffs on China first as a condition for negotiations.
China has quietly started to exempt some US goods from tariffs that likely cover around $40 billion worth of imports (or around 24% of Chinese imports from the US in 2024), in what looks like an effort to soften the blow of the trade war on its own economy.
“China is likely trying to mitigate damage to its economy by avoiding a collapse in key imports,” DiPippo said.
“The exemptions shouldn’t be interpreted as a signal to the US, as China has been quiet about its exemptions, working through business channels and avoiding public statements.”
While this move mirrors the shift by the Trump administration – exempting smartphones and other electronics from its own “reciprocal” tariffs, including the 145% levies on China (those US exemptions apply to about $102 billion, or roughly 22% of US imports from China last year) – we suspect there is more behind this decision.

If the Trump administration were to create and implement an App designed to facilitate the invasion of the United States by vast numbers of shady NGOs on taxpayer dollars not a single one of these radical judges would be objecting to the administration’s participation in traitorous behavior.
DeSantis and Uthmeier need to get Bondi prepared. She heads DOJ, and DOJ is in charge of the Federal Marshal Service. The Marshal Service needs to be alerted not to enforce any contempt order. It’s time to push back on these judges when the right opportunity presents itself, and this situation is a good one for it. I suspect the Trump team is waiting to see what the Supreme Court does on the Alien Enemies Act and other issues before deciding whether to assert its exclusive Article II authority on national security and foreign policy.
Judges like this one need to be removed ASAP.

Trump Removes Romania from Visa Waiver Program Over National Security Concerns
President Donald Trump’s Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and State Department are announcing the removal of Romania from the Visa Waiver Program (VWP). Former President Joe Biden, in a last-minute move, admitted Romania to the VWP despite national security concerns.
DHS and the State Department, Breitbart News has learned, are removing Romania from the VWP after a review of the Eastern European country’s admittance was concluded.
The VWP is a coveted benefit that allows foreign nationals from designated countries to bypass having to obtain a visa to secure entry to the United States, and allowing them to stay in the country for up to 90 days visa-free.
DHS had paused Romania’s admission to the VWP in March after Biden officials announced in January that the country would be added to the program.
Countries eligible for the VWP must meet particular criteria, including having a visa overstay rate that is less than three percent.

Regarding “birthright” citizenship
In accord with Art. XXI of the Treaty of Guadalupe Hidalgo, to settle differences “by the arbitration of commissioners appointed on each side”, the United States and Mexican Claims Commission was established July 4, 1868. Citizenship cases can be found in “History And Digest Of The International Arbitrations To Which The United States Has Been A Party”, Vol 3, John Bassett Moore (1898). Here is a sample:
* It is not proved that the claimant was a citizen of the United States. The ground that he is so, is his own statement that he was born at New York, together with a certificate of baptism of a child who was born at New York, Beniguo being one of the names which were given to him; but it is not proved that the child then born and baptized was one and the same person with the claimant. Nor would the mere fact of his having been born at New York be sufficient evidence of citizenship. It is clear that his parents were both aliens at the time of his birth, and it is not shown that they were naturalized or that they or the child remained in the United States. The inference is to the contrary, and the umpire believes that the child in question, even if that child was really the claimant, though born in the United States, was subject to a foreign power and cannot without further proof be considered to be a citizen of the United States [Id. at 2449]
* The umpire must first take into consideration the citizenship of the claimants. It’s one of the craziest corporate arcs of all time- Hudson’s Bay started in 1670 as a fur trading empire, governed huge parts of Canada for 200 years (had their own currency, army, etc), and eventually pivoted to retail, becoming the Macy’s for Canada. Not it’s closing.
When they launched, King Charles II gave them a royal charter granting a monopoly over all trade in the Hudson Bay watershed, about a third of what’s now Canada. They also got ownership of all the land’s resources and full military and legal authority.
It was theoretically a fur company, the primary product was beaver pelts for hats. But it was effectively a government too. They built forts, minted money, signed treaties with Indigenous nations, ran Arctic supply chains, and maintained a standing army. It was a fully operational colonial corporate state (Like British and Dutch East India Companies).
Their main product was beaver pelts- for hats. That one product made them insanely rich and allowed them to govern all this land. They fought a literal corporate war with a rival, the North West Company, and after enough bloodshed ended up merging to become a monopoly again.
But then fashion changed. The fur trade collapsed. Canada wanted its land back. In 1870, they sold their territory to the Canadian government and pivoted into retail. Old trading posts turned into general stores, then department stores. Over time, Hudson’s Bay became the Macy’s of Canada.
They tried to adapt by buying Saks, but the mall collapse and ecommerce crushed them anyway, and now they are closing.

“BREAKING: Three Virginia Dept. of Corrections Officers Stabbed in State Prison in Premeditated Attack Involving Five MS-13 Illegal Alien Gang Members”

“The attack occurred at approximately 9:45 am on Friday, May 2. Five of the six inmates involved in the attack are confirmed MS-13 gang members from El Salvador, who were in this country illegally. Each have been convicted of violet crimes including aggravated murder, first and second degree murder, and rape. The other inmate involved in the attack is a confirmed members of the Sureno 13 gang and from the United States, serving a sentence for second degree murder,” a statement from Virginia Department of Corrections Director Chad Dotson said.
Five officers were transported for outside medical treatment. Three officers, including two who were injured responding to the attack, suffered minor injuries. Two officers admitted to the hospital are in stable condition.
“Five of the individuals responsible for this senseless attack should never have been in this country in the first place,” VADOC Director Chad Dotson stated in the release. “Every single day, our officers put their lives on the line to ensure public safety for the more than 8.8 million people across the Commonwealth. This attack is an example of the dangers they face when they show up to work every day. Our officers are heroes, and I commend the team at Wallens Ridge for their swift response.”
