“This is not our war.” ~ Secretary Rubio
Secretary of State Marco Rubio speaks to reporters in Paris on April 18 about the prolonged peace talks between Russia and Ukraine. However, a frustrated Rubio warned that the U.S. could “move on” from its involvement in negotiations to end the war if no progress is made “within a matter of days and weeks.” That’s the mainstream media narrative.
The non-pretending summary is that Ukraine, France, Great Britain, the EU, NATO et al are all trying to retain their interests in the conflict. Russia has simple terms, but the war machinery controlled by the intel apparatus (CIA and EU) and the financial stakeholders in the EU region are unhappy. [Too many cooks] A frustrated Secretary Rubio says, make up your mind, if no deal – ¹we’re done. WATCH:
¹Having followed this very closely, here’s what “we’re done” likely means.
President Trump ends the USA side of the proxy war. President Trump pulls back all support for Ukraine; stops sending money, weapons and to the extent he can, intelligence to Ukraine. This opens the door for Russia to go full combat as the ground thaws, without concern for USA to engage.
The EU will have to step up with funding, intelligence and war material to continue supporting Ukraine. Rubio is calling the EU/UK bluff here because he knows without the USA the EU/UK will not commit to fight Russia.
Remember if no one does anything, Russia has already gained the ground they want and will just continue grinding western Ukraine to ever expanding rubble. Factually, doing nothing is a big win for Russia, especially if Trump withdraws.

Trump has already moved onto dealings with trade and tariffed nations. Vomit-omyr Zel-zit-sky has already lost his chance.
Vomit the Uke.
Puke the Uke!
What’s the symbol on his lapel?
An American flag.
Department of State lapel pin.
Saw it on others too yet I never got an answer either
The Great Seal, only in brown and yellow, with two stars at each side, and with “SECRETARY OF STATE” above it and “MARCO ANTONIO RUBIO” below it. What the coloring and stars represent I am unqualified to guess.
Not America’s problem.
especially since staying involved does not make america great.
Walk away. Let them eat cake.
THIS.
the “non-pretending” part to me is that this is clearly a war between the USA and Russia. we can mask, excuse, and bureaucratize it all we want, but the war is between us and Russia.
as such, the ONLY way it ends is if we do exactly that which we have not done yet: WALK AWAY.
While I understand and agree with your sentiment, I would suggest instead it is a war between Russia and a band of transnationalist tribalists who hijacked our country into a pirate’s cove from which to attack their enemies. We are only involved because our ancestors did not ensure that senior government posts would only be staffed with American patriots.
Excessive wealth and security led our ancestral ruling class of WASP merchants to grow arrogant, lazy and stupid. We are now being ruled over by a coalition of their conquerors and the WASP remnants who collaborate with their decaying post-American order. Yes, our government was involved, but no up-or-down vote of Heritage Americans would EVER have led to war with Russia.
totally agree there, as well.
but put yourself in a russian’s shoes. all our handwaving and shouting about some rogue element or its just the CIA or it was Biden or this or that… is a distinction without a difference. The mexicans are busy telling us the cartels are not them… but we know better.
we consented to be governed with our passivity.
we voted for a guy to dismantle it but there hasn’t been any progress.
the CIA is made up of american citizens who are not facing any consequence for their actions if it is truly rogue.
trump has continued the war instead of dropping it because he wants credit for the peace deal.
if i am a russian, this is all excuses. it is the USA. it is in OUR NAME until such time as the americans either stop facilitating the daily murder of russians; or until the americans withdraw consent and refuse to be governed by those who are committing this evil.
No dual citizens in ANY government position. Naturalized, yes, if sole allegiance to These United States of America.
How can you prove sole allegiance?
Consider 3 generations from the naturalized immigrant prior to holding any office within the borders of the US.
👍
Only difference I have with what you said is that instead of “their enemies” I would say “the country they call an enemy so they can rob the country and thus they think solve their problems.”
Exactly. And we should have walked b4 the end of January. Already nearly 3 months late on the promise to “end it in 24 hours”.
I disagree that this is a war between Russia and U.S., but rather between Russia and the U.S. CIA/deep state.
Defund this war and the CIA.
Like China isn’t the CCP. I hate that we are defined by the CIA, would love that to change.
Uh oh., Z-Dawg
Looks like Daddy just took away the car keys AND closed your bank account
Who knows? Maybe one of the mercs will smuggle you outta there, you little Nazi
Argentina is not crying for him!
Not to South Florida!
Peace for our time revisited.
if tiny volo ends up with his neck in the ringer, the US IC is going to have a tougher time finding candidates for their little foreign installations.
i’m surprised they STILL find them. the end is pretty predictable.
Once again, “any day, now.”
I am not surprised that Trump and his team appear to be getting exhausted by the War in Ukraine. The main difficulty is dealing with people who have absolutely no willingness to compromise, and I’m not talking about Putin.
The CIA and other Intel Agencies plus EU globalists want to keep the war going. They don’t even care whether they win, because the war profiteers make money as long as the war continues. The more intensive the war, the more money they make. They may have wanted to overthrow Russia, but any of them who thought that was remotely possible were delusional. These are people who the last thing in the world they want is peace.
Trump and the American people are sick of war, especially an unwinnable war that is killing an entire generation of men in Ukraine for absolutely no purpose other than profit for people who are already the uber-wealthy of the world.
Russia and Putin do not want the war to continue but they have no choice as long as the warmongers threaten them and attack Russia, Russian speaking people of Ukraine, and/or Russian assets.
There is a stand-off at this point because those who want the war to continue refuse to stop making war and are insisting on “peace keeping” forces if there is to be a cease fire. Russia says it will attack these forces.
If the US abandons its mission to end the war in Ukraine, and stop all weapons to Ukraine, the EU might want to send their weapons to Ukraine, but it will be difficult for Europe to replace what the US can send. In the end, if the CIA/EU continued to try to fight Russia, they could end up with worse terms than they could get now.
The question remains as to whether Trump will also suspend talks with Putin for strategic resources, as those talks were intended to be part of the post conflict resolution, leading to ending the sanctions against Russia, and the US and Russia jointly shaping the post-conflict era.
There is the possibility that Trump is not at all exhausted at this point, but instead, is threatening to pull out of the negotiations for tactical reasons.
Think about President Trump needing to prioritize Iran over Ukraine which would make Rubio’s comments an indicator of his direction.
Then ask yourself if my hunch is correct do the Iranian leadership see this move as the final straw before bombs come into their world?
I am certain that Putin and Trump are likeminded for peace and economic prosperity to reign for both Russians and
Americans
Also you can bet they have already discussed this situation in the Middle East concerning Iran.
Putin can absolutely assist with the Iran. Which is preeminently of more importance than spending any more time on those war hogs in the EU and Ukraine’s Zelenskyy
The loss of an entire generation of Ukrainian men is a tragedy that will be felt many many decades into the future.
If this war had ended in 1 or 2 months… no matter if territory was lost, no matter if ‘national pride’ was wounded… how much infinitely better off the Ukrainian people and nation would be… compared to what has happened.
Trump is saying Ukraine is done, the CIA are done and the EU are done and it’s not our fault.
Meanwhile, it’s like, ‘oh look at all this money that’s been freed up. Gee, it looks Israel could use some help and they would be grateful as would the Palestinians for Peace in us helping them get rid of Hamas.’
The timing is actually quite lovely.
I would honestly say that there are no “wins” for anyone, in any of this. Europe engaged in a proxy war, but leveraged the United States to provide most of the materials involved. They relied upon Ukraine to provide the manpower. 💀 They dreamed that they could literally dismantle Russia without getting their own hands dirty. And now, under a new American administration, this fantasy is coming to an end.
The bottom line for them is simply: “We couldah been a contendah …” Except they actually couldn’t.
Marshall plan and endless EU and other money and protections has ended. They need to get with the program but they don’t want to. So tough. I’m going to pout and stomp my feet. Ok.
Agree, there is nothing to win so therefore nothing to offer of any value in exchange for it. There is no “deal” to be had.
“I would honestly say that there are no “wins” for anyone, in any of this.”
IMO, a limited view of the Ukraine war but understandbly so.
In particular, when Christians are killing Christians there is always a winner. Christians refer to the winner as the devil.
Who, incidentally, is continuously at work guaranteeing there will be wars for a long, long time. At least that seems to me to be suggested if the Bible is your guide.
In Matthew 24:6, Jesus states, “And you shall hear of wars and rumors of wars. See that ye be not troubled. For these things must come to pass, …”
Get the idea?
The United Kingdom has been a major driving force behind this reckless adventure. The Rothschilds probably.
Excellent summation. I have not seen better in so few words. The Ukrainian people got played and died for the same b$&stards who got millions of others to be killed in two world wars. Everyone is sick of Europe.
Well done Secretary of State Marco Rubio. Not our War! The UK/EU should think long and hard about how they are going to pay for this forever war with Russia. Good Friday is a time for reflection.
I honestly believe that the Ukraine war is intended to destroy both Russia and USA. There are two targets in this conflict, not just Russia. The bribe for China to allow this to happen is gaining an oil rich province in an area formerly known as Russia to China’s north. London and China have the USA removed as a power and as an idea to pursue whatever hellish dystopia that they have in mind.
We need to get out now and watch the EU/Canada/China/Iran hoisted by their own petard.
Without the USA, the EU will fold like a cheap Chinese suit about Ukraine.
Now let’s find out who the CILie leaders are here in the US.
Can’t tell me that some inside white hats in the NSA can’t figure out tracing for those UKR stationed forward CILie agents receiving instructions daily from their said leader/s.
If not me thinks the DOGE team could rustle up some names rather quickly. You take down some bad hombres around the head of this snake and you quite possibly change the game for many years to come.
Pray Dear Lord Your will be done in dashing these satanist with pestilence and the sword that they have lived by and for the countless lives lost because of their evil ways. Amen 🙏🏽
Amen!
Amen and Amen!
If we can end a fake pandemic then we can end a fake war.
“This is not our war” must mean it’s not this administration’s war, it is not President Trump’s intention to pick this war up; he is trying his best to get out from underneath this mess…
But my point is the U.S was certainly behind the events in 2014 and the installation of this clown Zelenskyy
It never made sense to have a peace deal brokered by one of the parties involved in the fighting, did it?
The US-brokered 30-day moratorium on strikes against Ukraine’s energy infrastructure has officially expired, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov has confirmed. Moscow has yet to announce further steps, he added.
Speaking to reporters on Friday, Peskov noted that “the month [of moratorium] has indeed expired” adding: “As of this moment, there have been no other instructions from the supreme commander-in-chief, President Putin.”
About time the Us figured it out. It is a war between cousins. Without support, Zelensky is toast as it should be. He’s an illegitimate grifting fake puppet. Let Russia take whatever they want. It is about time. The US and Europe have much bigger problems such as their own survival amidst the global onslaught of alien and illegal invasion.
but what about nato and nukes?
ukraine is not part of nato.
us is.
And Turkey has the nukes at Incirlik.
This is a legit move, but it’s worrisome to me for a few reasons, all predicated on Euroweenie determination to act alone. I think they back down, but if they don’t…
First, the deep state has a vested interest in keeping our involvement in the war going. PDJT can withdraw the support he knows about, but that won’t stop the intelligence community from maintaining black operations in support of the Ukes. Meanwhile, the six ways from Sunday blackmail effort will go into overdrive, and I won’t be surprised if Congress passes legislation supporting the Ukes with veto-proof majorities in both houses. The socialists only need 75 GOPe reps and 19 GOPe senators to join them. Not such a heavy lift for the McConnell wing of the party.
Second, peace in the region is only possible with US involvement in the process. I know all the arguments about foreign entanglements, it’s not our war, etc etc, and I agree with them, but Putin is not going to enter into serious negotiations with the Euroweenies and their sawed-off little tough guy Zelensky. The only reason the process has gotten this far is the credibility PDJT47 brings to the table.
Third, the Euroweenies are not prepared to go it alone. Germany doesn’t have an army worth mentioning and the Brits have about a platoon or so of combat-ready troops. I can’t speak to the Frogs, but given their history, they could have a million men in their army and still be counted on to surrender.
Finally, the ONLY bargaining chip the Euroweenies have is the deterrence offered by France and Britain’s nukes. That’s the real scary thing for me, because there’s no such thing as a limited nuclear war. Even if both sides try to respond with proportional force, once the missiles start flying, it will escalate and I don’t see how we don’t get dragged into it.
I won’t be surprised if Congress passes legislation supporting the Ukes with veto-proof majorities in both houses
Doesn’t matter what Congress passes – foreign policy is the responsibility of the Executive branch per the Constitution.
In regards to funding Ukraine, if you really think that Congress will hold a veto proof majority in both chambers regarding the spending of taxpayer dollars on foreign war, you are fooling only yourself.
It certainly matters what legislation Congress passes. You must not remember when Reagan violated to Boland Amendment to continue funding the Contras. Ever heard of the Iran-Contra affair? Foreign policy is the responsibility of the Executive Branch, but he can’t do it without appropriations. Per the Constitution.
If you really think that the socialists in Congress wouldn’t 100% vote to commit many billions more on the war in Ukraine, if only to spite PDJT47, you’re fooling YOURSELF. And if you really think that there aren’t 75 reps and 19 GOPe senators that can be “persuaded” to vote in favor of such legislation, then you haven’t been paying attention.
Good.
And, having disabused the “unprovoked Russian aggression” narrative, if the U.S. walks away, it also returns to Russia the frozen assets it is currently holding, making it imposssible for the EU and Ukes to continue the charade that they have any legitimate claim, to the frozen assets THEY are holding.
And, when we quit pretending, this is a big part of why they are holding out. Once its clear they aren’t going to be able to use “International law” as cover for stealing these Russian assets, their resistance should fade.
The Europeans have already racked up large loans to the Ukrainians secured against the Russian money seized in Brussels. They really do not want to give that capital back to Russia as it would force them to refinance them with assets they do not have.
This aspect is a major potential problem.
I like Secretary Rubio a lot and I’m more impressed with him every day. In fact, compared to some of his counterparts in the Administration he’s one of the best at not sabotaging President Trump!
The Marco Rubio we see and hear today… seems light-years from the Marco Rubio of 2016.
If it’s a true
‘Evolution’… it’s extraordinary.
He does appear to be an intelligent and articulate member of the President’s team.
180 degree turn about. Let’s hope he never goes 360.
I wouldn’t count on it.
It could be that he NEEDS a strong leader to follow, that he’s not that good on his own, esp. not with a Warner-McConnell-style leadership. I get the idea that he LIKES the leadership of P. Trump, and that he (Rubio) is trusted with the duties he has as SoS.
Maybe the Senate wasn’t a good place for him.
And at least he is actually DOING something – as opposed to the Kash/Bondi/Bongino circus.
EU started this war
EU problem
Let the EU send military n Euros to resolve
Let’s let the Ukrainians sort their future out by themselves. Not one more wasted cent.
““The Russian invasion of Ukraine resulted from two immense strategic blunders, (Russian historian) Robert Service says. The first came on Nov. 10, when the U.S. and Ukraine signed a Charter on Strategic Partnership, which asserted America’s support for Kyiv’s right to pursue membership in the North Atlantic Treaty Organization. The pact made it likelier than ever that Ukraine would eventually join NATO — an intolerable prospect for Vladimir Putin. ‘It was the last straw,’ Mr. Service says. Preparations immediately began for Russia’s so-called special military operation in Ukraine.”
An alliance established to prevent war may have just ignited one.” Pat Buchanan

Ukraine War: “It’s Not About Nato”
https://odysee.com/@swprs:3/ukraine-war-not-about-nato-2023:e?lid=34e2d591d264cd70634307523f223649ade9e76a
The map says it all.
Explains why Trump is bringing troops home from some of those areas.
Western Europe no longer needs the US to rush to defend them. They have an unbroken layer of buffer states now between them and the Russians.
I hate the pretending, to use Sundance’s phrase. In the first place, it IS our war, in the larger sense of being the United State’s war. We chivvied Russia into this with 30 years of utterly hateful and aggressive foreign policy toward Russia (which no one ever voted on because it was always the Deep State’s war, not subject to correction by democratic means). Then we gave $200 billion to Ukraine to fund the war, and we supplied all the real time intelligence, drones, and command and control. It certainly IS our war. Now, it is true that it was not Donald Trump’s war . . . at first. But he has now funded it and run the command control technology from U.S. bases in German for some 90 days, so it certainly is Donald Trump’s war, now. He owns it now.
Second, it has never been possible to end the war without cutting off all aid to Ukraine. We have ZERO leverage over Russia, because we’ve been waging war on them for three years without defeating them. We have no more cards to play, except these two: (1) nukes and (2) U.S. ground troops. Neither of those two cards will ever be played and Putin knows it. So there is no path to peace other than surrender to Russia’s demands, and no way to get Ukraine to agree to that absent pulling all money and command-and-control aid. So we might as well do that and get it over with.
So it’s coming down to Ratcliff being able to identify the treasonous CIA operatives supplying intel to Ukraine (and apparently Israel) behind the POTUS’s back.
Rubio has sent a message that is loaded with meanings. He wouldn’t do this on his own so he’s speaking for the administration. Whether it’s about timing, priorities, a bargaining gambit, unknown agreements about thus war I don’t know. What I know is it’s about time and good news. Let’s end this war.
This is not our war, it was Biden’s but he is gone.
And the money flow is gone as well.
Ending the war in Ukraine may be the first failure in the litany of campaign “Promises made, promises kept.” Stuff happens. The global DS will not give peace a chance.
Win win for peace. Peace deal or defund and peace by default. Either way, it ends.
Trump could solve the problem in 10 minutes by getting rid of the CIA via Executive Order.
Or, if he doesn’t want to get assassinated, turn off the intel again.
BTW, Rubio is keeping parts of USAID intact. What an ass.
I don’t trust Rubio as far as I could throw him. I believe he’s a professional liar. Just my opinion.
Zelensky is rejecting peace…(From ZeroHedge)
Secretary Rubio said, “The United States has been helping Ukraine over the last three years, and we want it to end, but it’s not our war.”
Thus the US top diplomat made clear that Trump is ready to ‘move on’. But it remains that Zelensky is also not being much of a partner in peace. The Ukrainian leader lashed out at US officials Friday for the suggestion that the war could be frozen with Russia still in control of the four eastern territories of Donetsk, Luhansk, Kherson and Zaporizhia.
Zelensky said this is tantamount to Washington “adopting Russian strategy,” and said that Trump’s envoys have no “mandate to discuss Ukrainian territories, because these territories belong to our people.”
He added: “We do not discuss territories until the ceasefire. We will never consider Ukrainian lands as Russian.”
…and there you have it. Until President Trump stops funding Ukraine with weapons and money Zelensky won’t stop!
“Zelensky is rejecting peace…(From ZeroHedge)”
Zelensky. = Yasser Arafat v2.0
Play ball, or we take our Balls and go home…
Trump will also need to publicly announce that if Germany, France or UK or any other NATO country provokes aggression in Russia and Russia responds, the US will not participate in any Article 5 response. Make it clear that we won’t get dragged into conflict due to NATO country provocation!!
‘ “This is not our war.” ~ Secretary Rubio ‘
We are through the looking glass now, full Orwellian-speak.
Indeed
The war is on the doorstep of those in our government who overthrew a legitimate Ukraine government and installed tyrants, such as Zzelensky heir of the throne. Time to get out, for good. In the long run, it is a forerunner to WWIII.
I hope that means NO MORE MONEY
Will Ukrainians be worse off as Russians?
I heard a lot were bumrushing the border in the beginning as an excuse to become Russians, but the intel has been sketchy, so i honestly don’t know.
Depends on the region. Those in the eastern areas that Putin invaded have long considered themselves ethnic Russians.
There is a small typo in the first paragraph that changes the actual meaning. The quote should be “…days NOT weeks…” instead it says “…days AND weeks…”
I’m not quibbling but in this case accuracy matters a lot.
“Factually, doing nothing is a big win for Russia, especially if Trump withdraws.”
Is it also considered a big win for those still alive in that area if the fighting ends and they don’t have to die in this war?
Not to defend the CIA or the EU but the real bad guys here are the UK and Poland.
Key point by Rubio is that 87 days of high level time and energy has been spent and PDJT and his administration have other business to tend to. This has become a futile effort. The Witkoff-Putin talks will hold PT is good stead.
Zman doesn’t want peace.
UE doesn’t want peace.
PT must stop all funding and military aid to UKR. We can no longer say we want peace yet support UKR war efforts.
Ukrainian children training for war
Hitler Youth boys, v2.0?
Wake a way,let them fight until end,
Anyone thinks it’s strange there are very few pictures of this war?
Rubio: “This is not our war, we didn’t start it”
Maybe US didn’t start it outright, but we were involved in provoking it.
Bigly!
“………..but we were involved in provoking it.”
What’s this “we” you speak of?
I don’t know about you, but I have been at home, minding my own business all along.
Our country is involved, has been involved since the start, and Little Marco lied about it. That was my point.
That would be the rogue intelligence community. They are accountable to no one, and is why Trump is removing troops, money, and weapons, because he can control those!
Our country is 100% the cause of this war. The EU is our colony and NATO is our equivalent of the Warsaw Pact. Except we have used NATO to wage incessant wars of aggression for decades.
We overthrew the Ukraine government, and installed the little, perverted green goblin, who did not even speak Ukranian as a 1st language.
We funded the Azov fascist units who wield the real power and we exploited, and continue to, that country.
The Kiev regime had to get approval for every single minister from the State Department.
We fund the entire government, provide all ISR, their military is commanded by the US from a base in Germany. It was our Pentagon who planned every disastrous offensive, including Mariupol, Zaparozhe and Kursk II fiascos (Kursk I was in 1943 when the SS Galician grandfather’s of these freaks were killed off by the Russians).
American and Polish units were recently exterminated in Kursk by a Russian ethnic Buryat unit. They had been commiting hundreds of war crimes against civilian men, women and children in Kursk region.
Enough of the Trump Administration’s pretenses that our proxy, toxic dictatorship we created in Kiev is “independent”, and Trump is unable to end our involvement now. Enough with NATO, and annexing Greenland.
Trump needs to end being manipulated by neocons.
That be true but who thought the Diminutive Dictator would push his country toward suicide. A guy who refuses to negotiate because of his little-man syndrome.
