We’ve watched a lot of different takes on the explosive Friday oval office meeting between Volodymyr Zelenskyy and President Trump, however this explanation from Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick is exceptional.
Secretary Lutnick explains what the administration team anticipated from Zelenskyy versus what took place. Knowing the context of the congressional team that met with Zelenskyy prior to the Oval Office meeting, the explanation from Lutnick takes on even more sunlight. This is a very brutally honest take from a great member of the Trump administration. WATCH:
.
President Trump’s repeated position that Zelenskyy is refusing to discuss peace because the USA is standing close with him, is exactly the reason President Trump is now going to create distance.
CUT HIM OFF – President Trump is going to force Ukraine to stand without the USA support, only supported by the EU and U.K. It’s essentially a peacekeeping standoff. President Trump wants peace, the Ukranian people want peace, Zelenskyy and the EU/UK are willing to fight Russia to the last Ukranian.
It’s not about sending U.S. military goods into Ukraine, the Trump play can be twofold. (1) We stop paying for their government operations; and (2) potentially we turn off the U.S. satellite targeting systems that Ukraine is using. Then watch what happens.

Option 2 obviates anything Starmer could have cooked up to keep the war going. I like that a lot!
I don’t want President Trump being on “Ukraine’s side.”
Trump never said that. He’s not on anyone’s side. He’s on the side of peace.
Which is what he has repeatedly said.
By stopping the subsidy to one side of the conflict, the U.S. can actually now become the nuetral third party arbitraror for peace. This is a much cleaner position from which to negotiate peace. This was not the position Trump was offering on Friday; however, it is now the position we have arrived at on Monday. Remember, this was the choice Zelensky exclusively made on his own on global TV. The current status is actually now the perfect position from which the U.S.A. president can represent the America first foriegn policy position.
What an amazing thread the needle moment.
And stop military goods as well. Nada, Zip, ZERO
Love Lutnick! Common Sense from Old School NY… just like President Trump!
And always so happy!
The yapping female with the flailing hands needs to stop it. Maybe she’s campaigning to be the next Nancy Pelosi.
Oh I hated that. They should make them sit on their hands so they can’t point or flail.
I don’t think any of them watched the whole video.
I’ve seen way too many people now, aware but unbiased, who say that if you watch the entire exchange, you see what Vance said in a better light.
Yes if you see a short clip, you see Vance interjecting in a tone.
You have to watch from the beginning.
ANYONE who watched that exchange whether the 50 minute or the 8 minute version and say VP Vance was the aggressor is fundamentally, categorically, dishonest.
There are people who saw a short clip or clips, and saw what to them looked like our VP and our president going off on Ukraine’s president.
It’s not a question of honesty.
Why do so many of the serious commenters agree that “you have to watch the part that led up to the exchange”?
Because it’s easy to get the wrong idea if you don’t.
It did not help to have that #@!! OAN reporter primed to yell out a rude question, either.
You and I went into watching the video with background knowledge.
Many, if not most people did not.
I was looking at Sundance’s article on Howard Lutnick.
Howard did an excellent job of explaining what went into the meeting with Zelensky, and defending the president’s position, yes.
From our POV.
I don’t think there is anybody right now trying to reach the Americans who are upset with what their country is doing.
Inflation in Ukraine is completely out of hand.
War pays…
LOL thank you for a wonderful laugh! Yes you may call me BRAT.
😇
Yeah….lots of “inflation ”
in that picture🤣🤣🤣🤣🤪😜
Looks like a completely major makeover from top-to-bottom. 😉
new titties
aftermarket, not OEM
judging from the ‘before’ photo, that was a wise purchase
Yep, could not miss that job.
She looked better before the money!
This Lutnick fella, I like him more and more.
He reminds me of a bond trader I once knew;-)
“Interviewer(s)” agenda was very clear … loss of objectivity & credibility implies that at one time they possessed those qualities…
Lutnick is the best cabinet member by far!
The Dems set Z up for that whole thing. The Dems meeting with him prior to the Oval Office meet was strategic and designed to have Trump fail. They need SOMETHING that is a failure they can point to. Lindsey showed his cards only to well. He was all smiles in that Dem meeting with Z. He praised the guy, told him how great he is and he can explain to Trump he should not have to give anything to Putin. But then when things fell apart, Lindsey runs to the nearest Microphone to slam Z and praise Trump….again all smiles. He worked the two ends against the middle. To what gain, maybe he wanted to see Trump fail too.
One thing you can count on with Miss Lindsey is that he always talks out of both sides of his mouth. Always. He is worthless.
Awesome
Lutnick is great!
From Alex Berenson, for what it is worth.
How Zelensky blew it, in two emails
In 2022, a Ukrainian-American spoke out passionately to me about his country’s efforts to defend itself from Russia. Today he offered a very different take.

“Three years ago, I wrote a piece criticizing the conservative theory that Ukraine was running “biolabs” for the United States. I didn’t believe it then. I don’t believe it now. I know many of you disagree, but bear with me a second. This isn’t about biolabs.
That piece led a Ukrainian-American – let’s call him “Boris”1 – to email me on March 11, 2022. Boris, who has the good taste to be an Unreported Truths paid subscriber, was frustrated at the time with comments criticizing my post and Ukraine’s defense against the Russian invasion. He wrote:…”

For decades, CIA Directors, Secretaries of Defense, Senators, and Ambassadors have warned that the U.S. and NATO were provoking war with Russia. In 2014, Obama/Biden backed the 2014 Ukrainian coup. In 2016, the CIA began building 12 spy bases in Ukraine.

Zelensky apparently said something very not nice to Vice-President Vance. Really not nice. I’ve learned a new Russian word.

America needs Russia as an ally against an expansionist China. Putin knows this but the West has done a lot of bad things to Russia. The Ukraine is not important to America’s future. Many European countries are working against the US and should not be considered allies. The whole, Hillary inspired, Russia Russia Russia, thing has wrongfully hurt Russia’s reputatation. Russia is not the Soviet Union with Gulags, Russia is a Christian nation whose values are closer to American values. It’s the Europeans who have values that are not even close to American values. Opinions will have to change but America needs Russia more than Russia needs America.
