Appearing on ABC, Secretary Rubio cuts to the chase in his support of President Trump and the administration officials who are organizing the most practical end to war, destruction and bloodshed. ABC George Stephanopolous pushes the “security guarantee” talking point, while Rubio eloquently keeps the focus on ending the conflict.
The Zelenskyy defenders, NATO and the EU must pretend the U.S didn’t carry out a color revolution in Ukraine. They must also pretend they didn’t install Volodymyr Zelenskyy and pretend there was no civil war happening inside Ukraine for a decade. Lastly, the western group must pretend they didn’t try to provoke Vladimir Putin with expansions of NATO and an intentional breaking of the Minsk accords. There are other pretenses that must be maintained, but these are the top ones.

It was not the West who broke the Minsk II agreement. Putin broke the agreement and he then invaded Ukraine on February 24, 2022.
Zelensky was democratically elected in 2019, winning 73% of the vote, and won the Presidential election with the largest landslide in Ukrainian history. I strongly doubt Zelensky was “installed.”

The Minsk accord actually prevented Ukraine from fully arming itself. For example, Ukraine could have artillery, but could only have a limited supply of artillery shells.
Lethal aid, javelins and manpads, were finally sent by Trump during his first term. Canada, US and the UK played large roles in training Ukraine soldiers at this same time.
Merkel is an East German communist who had deep financial ties to Gazprom, the Russian oil company. She was never on the side of Ukraine. Merkel was on the side of those who bought oil and gas from Gazprom, thus enriching herself.
What Merkel says means nothing. She is the one who spearheaded Europe buying Russian oil and gas. She made Europe, and specifically Germany, dependent on Russia in this way. Trump complained often about this very thing.
Moreover, the US, as the largest financial contributor to NATO, would have to participate in defending Germany and the rest of Europe if Putin attacked them, and at the same time knowing that Merkel was snuggling up to Putin.

Under Ukraine law, once martial law has been declared, elections are suspended. Zelensky declared martial law just days after Putin invaded. Facts are pesky things aren’t they.
so if you’re the one in charge and you want peace for your people then you agree to a ceasefire when offered, lift the martial law and hold a fair election and the winner of that can then legally sign a peace treaty. Maybe I’m wrong, but I think some of the color revolutions in eastern European countries, particularly right after the fall of the Soviet Union, were for real western democracy freedoms. Whereas, the Ukraine one was a CIA coup to go after Russia along with many, many others things (money laundering, etc.).
Don’t like this interview. It paints Zelensky in a white light. President Trump made it plain that he had spoken to Putin who wants an end to the war. The end is not the fault of Putin, from what I’ve read, but Zelensky who wants to keep fighting. And the EU, etc., sticking their nose in with plans of boots on the ground after an agreement is reach is just pulling the chance away. Putin will not agree to them so close to his homeland.
Among the many things he seems to promise to whoever visits, I recall reading (can’t recall where) that Zelenskyy had already signed some kind of “minerals” deal with Starmer in early January, before Pres. Trump’s inauguration. How many people hold “paper” on Ukraine based on this little POS? And (lol) what is that paper worth now?

I’m not sure that Trump and Vance knew about the earlier meeting…..just saying.
And true to form, Stupidopoulos couldn’t even come close to understanding what Rubio was trying to get across to him. He, just like all other Leftist’s, just can’t get around their agenda’s for any reason.
The key point is entirely valid: we have not tried to negotiate or really even communicate with the Russians during the last four years. We haven’t had any official diplomatic attempts to negotiate their side of the situation – and, because of their overwhelming military and industrial superiority, and obviously-winning hand, they are the only party that matters.
Zelenskyy, first of all, is not the lawfully-elected President of Ukraine anymore. He is a dictator, trying to maintain control of power by force even as his situation is falling apart. “History” calls upon me to predict that his lifespan is now very short. 💀 In any case, he is not the one to negotiate with: Ukraine, as the clear loser, will have to accept. To surrender.
Europe, of course, is eager to continue or to start another “Grand European (World …) War,” even though they haven’t the faintest idea nor memory of what that means. Russia, on other hand, still celebrates “Victory Day.” Europe has utterly forgotten that “war” means anything but “money.” Russia, however, will “never forget.”
And – maybe – this is the first step towards actual “peace.” It will not come from Zelenskyy nor from Ukraine. Trump knows this.

I think that perhaps the most-critical quality of this President is that he is a master of negotiation. He made a wildly-successful living at it, but never suppose that any of it was “easy.” He now brings these fundamental business skills to the realm of diplomacy.
On the one hand, the other nations should brace for a fight. But on the other, they should breathe a sigh of relief. Putin, with very(!) good reason, kept his distance from “the imposter.” But now he has the opportunity to deal with experience. With people who are willing to listen. With those who “instinctively” know which negotiations need to be made, and which ones don’t.
