At 06:30 of the interview, President Trump outlines his current opinion on the Ukraine President and the reason for it. President Trump talks about the simple process of creating a surety (rare earth minerals) for U.S. taxpayer funds that have been sent to Zelenskyy, and the outline of a deal the people who control Zelenskyy ultimately rejected.
President Trump is frustrated at the approach taken by the EU toward Russia where shutting the door to Vladimir Putin ultimately resulted in nothing. As noted by President Trump, closing down conversation, triggering sanctions that ultimately were futile, and isolating the nation of Russia only made the problem worse. My only problem with this approach of PDJT towards Ukraine is that is appears to ignore the role played by the USA in a coup against the elected president of Ukraine which provoked Ukraines aggressive approach to the Russian speakers of Eastern Ukraine and our expansion of NATO. Our actions provoked Russia into a war to protect the Russian speakers of Eastern Ukraine and to protect their access to the Crimean peninsula. Zelensky came later, he was literally an actor prior and I believe just an actor playing a role and reading a script when he became president. I don’t think he was smart enough to play the USA like a fiddle. I believe it was the USA who played Ukraine like a fiddle and likely instructed their Ukrainian stooges to put in Zelensky. Also, if I remember correctly it was the USA that was pushing Europe into the hostile position against Russia. Therefore, although I usually agree with most of PDJT I cannot agree with dumping the blame only on Ukraine/Zelensky and the EU while ignoring what I believe to be the primary cause being the role of the USA. My view of the situation is that the USA ran Ukraine and Ukraine did what they were told, granted they were corrupt enough to make the deal with the corrupt obama biden admins. I could see them being told they would be given weapons and money but they had to kick some back to our corrupt leaders and give hunter the burisma position, etc. Also, although I believe we should not fight wars and then come out with no spoils, I don’t understand why Ukraine would have to pay us back if they were given grants instead of loans by our Congress. Would agree that the US has played a part in the events and actions you listed, but the maiden revolution induced by the US was NOT the event that provoked Russia.
What provoked Russia was decades of being lied to and a continuous push of NATO across eastern Europe in spite of repeated promises not to do so, culminating with the proverbial last straw – the push to make Ukraine a NATO member.
Said push wasn’t something that the US could demand or do – it requires the approval and complicit concurrence by all the NATO members, who are even now CONTINUING to push for Ukraine being allowed to join NATO and stating that it is a “done deal” even though there isn’t any such thing until it’s been voted on. All it takes is ONE of the NATO members rejecting the idea, just as Turkey did for a considerable time regarding some of the Scandinavian nations.
Further, even the corrupt former German chancellor – Merkl – openly admitted that the last treaty with Russia wherein the west stated they wouldn’t push further east into Ukraine was simply a ploy to stall and give time to arm and strengthen Ukraine.
Then there is the trip and coercion applied by the UK buffoon Boris J that scuttled the written peace deal between Ukraine and Russia at the start of the current Ukraine/Russia conflict. Anyone who thinks he did so at the bidding of the US is sorely misinformed about the ways of “the rules based order”, which most definitely does NOT have the US as the rules maker.

First, I would ask why not?
Second, I would suggest that perhaps had he named names and been more forthcoming with the American public as to what they had done in his first term he might have ended the “pretending” about their real roles and actions and perhaps have won the 2020 election as a result. Instead, he either did not know or he went along with the “pretending” that they were not corrupt. Perhaps he did not want to harm relations with UK and 5 eyes, or perhaps he thought the players were not corrupt, but in the end the pretending caused great damage. Appointing Bill Barr to handle declassification is still an unexplained move on PDJT’s part for me. If he had declassified and exposed them then he might have avoided Mar a lago raid etc. I think he has to name, expose and indict them to have any chance of weeding them out permanently. I think the role of SES members in our govt also has to be investigated and exposed. The exposure and end to the “pretending” is what is necessary to winning over a sizeable portion of voters who actually believe the “pretending”. The exposure of the corrupt elements of the hunter biden laptop that ended that specific pretense is a good example, and that pretense is the basis of exposure for other pretenses. I believe that the more that is exposed, with specific names, the better chance of permanently solidifying any changes being made. Otherwise the pretenders have the power and ability to do exactly what they did last time and wait out PDJT.

There are NO rare earth minerals in Ukraine worth investing another 10 cents into. Several articles point out that Ukraine has no more “rare earth” minerals than Poland and what they have is mostly under Russian control now.
At most Ukraine’s rare earth potential is $3 billion a small fraction of what they owe the United States and Europe. Why would we sink more $$$ into that bottomless pit?
The oligarchs who Zelenskyy must please are hardly going to let the US get between them and a Ukrainian natural resource they view as their own prey. They’d rather their Russian cousins pirated them than America.
