President Zelenskyy represents the interests of the European Union, multinational corporations, various elements of NATO memberships, the World Economic Forum, the CIA division within the U.S. State Dept., western banks and a confab of various western intelligence operations. After that, he represents the interests of Ukrainians. This is why he will not permit elections.

I think that is the idea. Trump will “propose” and “negotiate” a reasonable peace plan regarding what the United States will or will not commit to, for the United States. If the EU and Zelensky want to continue the war after that, it is up to them, Trump won’t stop them or help them, now or in the future if things get worse.
Maybe it would be better in the long run for the EU to learn the hard way by mixing it up with the Russians?
Yes and no. Remember, we are still, at this point, bound by NATO treaties and if some NATO country invades Russia and gets smacked down on their own soil the NATO treaty obligates us to come in and defend them. What is scary is that I see the current NATO setup as a reflection of the treaty network that got most of Europe involved in WWI.

If NATO member(s) were to go on the offensive against Russia (any country), the other NATO members are not obligated to help.
