In the announcement, Biden highlighted Cheney’s role as chair and vice chair of the House Jan. 6 committee, which concluded that Trump poses a danger to democracy. Biden also named Rep. This is setting the stage for a level of vitriolic resistance to the 2024 election loss that even exceeds the level asserted in 2016.
Whoever is the architect behind this is digging deep into a very dark place for our nation. The one thing I am certain of, is that as a country we need to be prepared for some very unAmerican activity in the next year or more. The Marxist and Communist movements within our nation are going to counter the 2024 election result with every tool in their playbook. This celebration of Liz Cheney is just a small sample.
She can decorate her cell at Gitmo with it.

I predicted last summer that Ukraine, Israel, inflation, etc. would depress Democrat turnout, and it clearly did. Having Biden and Harris running around celebrating Liz Cheney (including have her speak at Democrat rallies) was a major factor in suppressing Democrat turnout.

I never thought I’d live to see the day that Democrats and their followers would be supporting/awarding a Cheney. Well, here we are. We’ve gone through the looking glass. I wish I could show this to people I knew 20+ years ago and confront them. Hell, back then I wasn’t even convinced that Cheney was the devil. They were. They were right. I was still holding onto the belief that the US government, while it did bad things, was not truly a force for evil, especially while governed by Republicans. I was so wrong. Now they’re wrong.
They’re even more wrong. They are KNOWINGLY supporting evil because it (supposedly) benefits them politically. Thankfully I think that the majority of Americans know the Cheneys for what they are, and the rest don’t even know who they are. Maybe it’s a good thing that most Americans (it isn’t) can’t point out North Korea on a map, and can’t do simple math in their head, or on paper. Maybe a short memory can be a good thing, to a degree.
But seriously, to just see one of those young people I knew so long ago, who hated the Cheneys with every fiber of their being, try to explain to me how they are now heroes. I would not be able to contain my laughter.

I am 63 and a physical plant manager for the last year. I spent my entire career as a blue collar beast of burden. My body is broken and I desperately want to retire.
