♦ IN PERSON EARLY VOTE ♦ – More than 38 million U.S. voters have gone in-person to vote, according to the latest data from the University of Florida’s Election Lab. Four years ago, that number was just over 35 million. Main Point: 2024 “In Person” early voting has already exceeded the 2020 result.
♦ TOTAL EARLY VOTE ♦ – In 2020 30% of “Total” early voters (in person and mail in) were Republican, almost 45% were Democrats. That gap has narrowed substantially. So far, 36% of “Total” early voters are Republican, and 38% have been Democrats. [*Note: while the numbers will grow, the percentages are not likely to change.] Main Point: A 15-point Democrat advantage has been dropped to 2%.
Here comes a jaw-dropping statistic….
♦ YOUNG VOTERS ♦ According to the Center for Information & Research on Civic Learning and Engagement (CIRCLE), 70% of young Americans aged 18-25 voted early in 2020. Currently, only 8% of those aged 18-25 are voting early. For some reason there has been a massive drop in early voting amid those aged 18-25. If this detached trend carries into Tuesday, well, it’s game over for Harris everywhere.

Social media exploded today when reports surfaced that New York officials raided a home, confiscated two rescue animals and then killed them. The squirrel named P’Nut had been saved by a couple in New York who raised and cared for him for seven years. P’Nut had millions of followers on Instagram. Fred the racoon was also confiscated and killed.
NEW YORK – Peanut the Squirrel, of internet fame, has been euthanized after the pet was seized by New York state earlier this week, according to the Department of Environmental Conservation.
The seven-year-old gray rescue squirrel, commonly referred to as “P’Nut” on Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok, was put to death, along with Fred the raccoon, so that the animals could be tested for the presence of rabies, according to a statement from the agency obtained by WETM. (read more)

For two years I was asked to present thoughts on potential candidates for offices in/around the Trump administration if they can achieve victory in the 2024 election. Essentially, if Trump wins, “who” would be best in “what” positions?
I was extremely reluctant to put something together like this because ultimately, I look at the challenges with a different perspective. Additionally, I am not confident that key people around Donald Trump fully understand the complexity of the problem, and as a result would not absorb the context of any suggestions I might offer.
However, having spent the past 18 months traveling, quietly tracking (yes, that’s me), methodically researching, looking, listening, digging deep in the places that few understand or pay attention to, and after careful thought, prayer and reflection, I began to think that perhaps a slight change in the presentation might actually be beneficial.
Thus, I began in July of 2024, writing very specifically about who might be best suited for roles and responsibilities. Not from the perspective of the person per se’, but rather from the perspective of a fully understandable context for the position; the reality of what can be pragmatically accomplished, and detailed reasoning for why the challenge they will face exists.
This is a beginning with the end in mind approach.
It is NOT my intent to provide a private list of recommendations. What I wanted to do was set a cornerstone of how each role could, predictably, be anticipated to engage with each challenge; then, ultimately, what I believe they will have to do in order to make progress.
The result was a public series of non-pretending presentations, where all of the traditional civic perspectives that people carried might be challenged.
Roles and responsibilities are only valuable if we define and accept the problem from the same perspective. It is with that thought in mind that such an undertaking begins.
If successful in the 2024 election, President Trump will have one 4-year term to begin charting a new course within our government.
President Trump cannot be expected to fix or repair all of the damage created within our Constitutional Republic in one term. However, it is possible for President Trump to set the cornerstones in place that ensure the greatest likelihood of success for a modern restoration.

On January 17, 2017, just three days before President-Trump was sworn into office, outgoing President Obama had a secret conference call with progressive media allies.

Again, this is three days before Trump took office, when the Obama White House and Intelligence Community were intentionally pushing the Trump-Russia conspiracy story into the media in an effort to disrupt President Trump’s transition to power. President Obama is essentially asking his progressive allies to help defend his administration. Part of the 20-page transcript is below:
Barack Obama – […] “I think the Russia thing is a problem. And it’s of a piece with this broader lack of transparency. It is hard to know what conversations the President-elect may be having offline with business leaders in other countries who are also connected to leaders of other countries. And I’m not saying there’s anything I know for a fact or can prove, but it does mean that — here’s the one thing you guys have been able to know unequivocally during the last eight years, and that is that whether you disagree with me on policy or not, there was never a time in which my relationship with a foreign entity might shade how I viewed an issue. And that’s — I don’t know a precedent for that exactly.
Now, the good news there, I will say, is just that there’s a lot of career folks here who care about that stuff, and not just in the intelligence agencies. I think in our military, in our State Department. And I think that to the extent that things start getting weird, I think you will see surfacing objections, some through whistleblowers and some through others. And so I think there is some policing mechanism there, but that’s unprecedented.
And then the final thing that I’m most worried about is just preserving the democratic process so that in two years, four years, six years, if people are dissatisfied, that dissatisfaction expresses itself. So Jeff Sessions and the Justice Department and what’s happening with the voting rights division and the civil rights division, and — those basic process issues that allow for the democratic process to work. I’d include in that, by the way, press. I think you guys are all on top of how disconcerting — you guys complain about us — (laughter) — but let me just tell you, I think — we actually respected you guys and cared about trying to explain ourselves to you in a way that I think is just going to be different.
On balance, that leads to me to say I think that four years is okay. Take on some water, but we can kind of bail fast enough to be okay. Eight years would be a problem. I would be concerned about a sustained period in which some of these norms have broken down and started to corrode.
