Have a dear friend that is past now that was a well respected designer, may of his designs are in peoples houses to this day, both classic and contemporary.

His family was associated with the Broyhill family for years.

He was tasked at the start of the transfer of the industry with having to travel to China and other far east countries to set up factories and train techniques.
He for many years made annual journeys to the operations in that area, he would comment on some of the procedures of the locals some impressive, some not.
Whole villages would work on one item for a certain piece of the whole item.

A few years back one of the Broyhill members wanted to reopen a plant here, the EPA would not allow it, told him that a new building to their rules would have to be built, as such the plans were scuttled.

It will be an uphill battle to bring these factories back, starting with cleaning out government workers that have assumed to much power.

Per the RCP page, there’s no breakdown of party affiliation or even number of participants, so it can easily be a flimsy poll; if you click the link, the Register’s page calls their own poll “respected”, so there’s that.

The PredictIt fortunes for Trump have fallen every day for the last week; Kamala’s been their betting favorite for the last two days. That’s a small market for small (mostly liberal) punters, easy and inexpensive prey for those who’d like to portray the feasibility of a Dem win.

It could be that both sides are petitioning their respective puppet masters, rather like the medieval practice of getting the monarchs favour. One side wants it to go ahead, but the other realises that the narrative of a likely Harris victory has not even been remotely established, in the minds of the majority of voters, so there would be no institutional ability to create the vital suspension of disbelief, after the count.

More than likely the reason is to try to engender some enthusiasm in the Harris campaign, and their voter’s, to stop it imploding before Nov 5 and giving Trump the popular vote. This is crucial, as their resistance narrative in 2016 was centred on the fact that Clinton had won the ‘majority of the country’, claiming it delegitimised Trump’s entire Presidency. They are at risk of being, ‘hoist by their own petard’ and are reacting appropriately!

As for the Iowa poll people have to ask why people would suddenly switch to Harris, given the situation is far worse for people now, than it was in 2016 and 2020? It just doesn’t stack up, but what is interesting is the reaction on the Left. Desperate for any good news, like parched creatures in a desert, they stampede toward any illusionary oasis, however fantastical, again a good indicator of the real state of things.

As for the Right’s reaction, It should be to just get out and vote and ignore all the ‘breaking, bombshell, stunning developments’ that will no doubt occur these last few days. If people are still nervous, go to Rich Baris’ People’s Pundit channel, for a professional pollsters view on events, and then reflect on how at ease the Trump campaign is, compared to the frenetic state of Harris’.
