Another awesome rally!!! We did not get in but as usual we met a bunch of great Americans in line including three twenty-somethings. Really proud to have met them.
We had one unfortunate downside where a group of rally attendees verbally nd physically attached a street preacher and got the state police to remove him from the premises. Hubby and I tried to tell them to leave him alone to no avail.
Yes, he was somewhat obnoxious but he was not in anyone’s face. He had a small microphone that was overshadowed by the rally sound system and at the time of the altercation no one was speaking on the rally stage.
My issue is one of speech. We cannot claim freedom of speech if we only want speech that we like. Because you don’t want to hear you are in danger of going to hell if you do not repent and turn to Christ is no reason to to shut up the speaker.
