I hope you are right. I read today that New York state courts are kind of loose on when sentencings are scheduled and judges have a lot of leeway, and the judge here could schedule it immediately after the jury comes back.

The Secret Service reports to the Department of the Treasury which in turn reports to Joe Biden. If Joe Biden tells Janet Yellen to tell the head of the Secret Service to hand over Donald Trump to New York jail authorities without providing further SS protection while Trump is incarcerated in a New York jail, the Secret Service will have no choice but to do that.
