165 Democrats voted for a foreign aid package brought to the floor by Republican Speaker Mike Johnson. The measure includes $26 billion more for Israel, $61 billion more for Ukraine and around $10 billion for Taiwan. 151 Republicans voted to support the aid bill.
There is almost $100 billion in total foreign aid and approximately $0 to secure the southern U.S. border. This is a “Republican” bill, that passed with Democrats, not Republicans. The ideological UniParty is very real in Washington DC, and this vote was entirely against the wishes of most Americans.

Majority Leader Steve Scalise said Friday that he plans to support the package, while Majority Whip Tom Emmer (R-Minn.) declined to state his position when asked.
“I’m pleased that we were able to come to a bipartisan agreement,” said House Appropriations Chair Tom Cole (R-Okla.). He added: “It’s working out the way the speaker wanted it to, which is that every member is free to vote their conscience … in a way they usually aren’t.”
The House structured the package so as to ease its consideration in the Senate, requiring less time and procedural votes to pass the upper chamber. While senators are scheduled to be out of Washington next week, there’s ongoing discussion about canceling that recess to take up the House plan if it passes. (read more)
It’s really not just Mike Johnson, the root of the issue is much deeper than just corrupt and detached Republican leadership. The issue extends to every aspect of life and politics in Washington DC. Every member is participating in a process to give money to other countries, regardless of whether the American voter wants that to happen or not.
There is a complete collapse of the governmental structure of the United States as it pertains to representative government. The concept of representative government is completely gone, not even considered any longer amid the professional political class from both wings of the UniParty vulture.

My personal theory is that all those CIA experiments and research on “mind-control” and hypnosis they did in the 1950s and 60s must have produced actual useable techniques, and now they use them on Americans.

On the one hand, Sundance gives a daily dose of what Rush used to call Real-ville, the world as it is, not as we wish it to be. Then on the other hand, he admonishes us to live our best lives. Sometimes it’s not easy to reconcile one with the other and it often it seems downright impossible.
One thing that always helps, our secret weapon actually, is President Trump. Not a day goes by that he isn’t put through some kind of hell by those DemonRat bastards and no matter what they do to him, he still comes out on top and beats them at their own game. Talk about an inspiration!
Meanwhile, I feel like we have no choice but to soldier on, keep working as best we can, keep praying and hope that the Good Lord will once again have mercy on us and bring us through this dark valley. As they say, I don’t think that He has taken us this far to abandon us now.

Hi Viking Mom- I have been around, maybe not commenting as much as in the past, but not a day goes by that I don’t come here to check out what how my friends are doing. Things are much better with my adult children as long as we do not discuss politics and just stick to family matters. That’s fine with me as I really want to spend time with the grand kids who are growing up too quickly.
I know that I won’t be able to change their parents’ brainwashed minds, but I can accept that as long as I am able to see them on a regular basis. The CVD scam was a horror on so many levels and I am glad that it’s over. I hope all is well with you and your family.

I have had a falling out with one of my sisters. I thought we had agreed not to talk politics. But she could not contain herself and started sending anti-Trump emails. She has serious TDS. I know I shouldn’t have done this, but I told her she had TDS and was brainwashed so she said she would never talk to me again
I know it was my fault but on the other hand I have never sent her any anti-Biden stuff. I do not know how to feel actually. The good part is that she stopped sending me this crap, the bad part is that she hates me. Sigh…oh, well.
Incredibly enough my sister is a true communist even though she’s a registered Republican! She hates President Trump with a passion and loves Biden. She has made a lot of money in real estate and owns many properties- something she NEVER would have been able to do anywhere else in the world except for the good ole USA.
To say that she is brainwashed (and stupid) is an understatement and I think that there is no hope she will ever change her opinions. She admits that she gets a lot of her ideas from Oprah or other similar sources on cable TV.
She doesn’t read very much of anything let alone the kind of essays and articles we see here at the Tree House and elsewhere.
All I can do is ignore everything she says about politics and not get goaded into fighting with her because it’s no use- you can’t fix stupid.

Sadly, I did get rejected by this person, not because I ever said anything, but because

It is beyond frustrating and any methods we have been able to use to try to educate and influence Republican leadership is completely ineffective. Writing representatives, I get answers that are diametrically opposite of what I asked.
No more money for Ukraine – I get an answer that says that the US national security demands funding Ukraine.
No more money for the MIC – I get an answer that we must increase production and funding of weapons and defense manufacturers. For American jobs. When it is really for contributions to their campaigns.
No widespread ban on social media – I get an answer that we must pass this ban on TikTok as a danger to our national security.

I suspect it is not because they think we are ignorant, but because we would intend something that is not lucrative for themselves.
I have come to believe that every one of them is only motivated by self-interest, self preservation of their power and whatever financial rewards they can grab for themselves while pretending.
