As a precursor, I am suggesting to all site admins (Ad Rem, Stella, Menagerie and Weed) that we begin instituting stronger commenting moderation controls; not to limit speech, but to eliminate distracting agenda voices. The reason for this is simple, I can see “control operatives” on these pages.

Similarly, the declassification process is a request by an agency, even a traditionally superior agency like the President of the United States, to the Intelligence Branch asking for them to release the information. The Intelligence Branch again holds full unilateral control. If the head of the CIA refuses to comply with the declassification instruction of the President, what can the president do except fire him/her? {Again, GO DEEP} How does the President replace the non-compliant cabinet member? They have to go through the SSCI confirmation. See the problem?

The value of Kash Patel’s institutional currency is connected to his access – even with Republicans in charge. The same is true for Devin Nunes and John Ratcliffe.
The institutional leadership, those functionaries in control of the compartment (silo), can block access to the silo thereby devaluing the career currency of other functionaries. The DC preservation system is contingent upon this process being retained.

For years now I have been copying certain articles that I find to be significant. There has never ever been an issue with scrolling back to the First page of the Comments, and starting from the bottom, scroll back to the very top of the article, and then Copy. Then open a Pages Document and Paste. Then continue copying just the Comments and Pasting to the bottom of the Pages Document until I have everything Copied.
I have learned that the Comments of Treepers can be Very Informative, which is why I try to Copy them along with certain articles.
Today, for the first time ever in about five (5) years every time I tried Pasting this First Page of the Comments it caused my Pages Document to completely bump me out and Close the Pages Document.
I finally figured out that it was your Comment with whatever emojis you were using. I even had to take your Comment one (1) sentence at a time in order to Copy your Comment. In fact, I could not even copy your Green Check Mark on this Comment.
The same held true with all three (3) of your Comments on this First Page of the Comments.

I ran a blues jam session in Lubbock at Stubb’s BBQ on the east side of town, across the tracks.
Stevie played there several times on the weekend and would sometimes stay over for the Sunday night jam. One afternoon, I was sitting in a booth and saw Stevie sitting in front of Stubb’s juke box. He had a little cassette recorder and was taping “Tin Pan Alley”.
Stubbs had a great jukebox full of old 45’s.

Now THAT is interesting. I’ve been writing him off as just a liberal crackpot masquerading as conservative, but now that I think of it, there have been tells. Like when he gives a LONG interview and spends all of it talking about problems that those on the Right acknowledge as problems, ingratiating himself with the Right and the conservative interviewer, but suggests NO solutions or policy corrections, NOT ONE (because his record is one of liberal policy). That absence of suggested solutions is no accident. That’s deliberate. And yes, that is tradecraft. Keep an eye on him. They’re not done with him yet.

My LIGHT BULB MOMENT as well….Funny thing happened on Friday night. I only watch one show on Newsmax. I happen to like Greg Kelly. I used to have the same feeling about Vivek…call it spidey sense or women’s intuition or just plain mistrust. There is too much credence given to RFK by con inc and the uniparty that leads me to believe this is not about him running…he is a spoiler but not in the way we think….
So what is the plan for RFK then? Will Biden “retire” or something before the election and RFK will take his place and run against Trump?
At this point, with only what is available to us so far, it would appear he is being positioned as a third party spoiler to siphon off support from Trump. Or he could just be an agent provocateur sent in to muddy up everything, cause a distraction, a misdirection away from their backroom illegalities. Or he could just be set up as an asset to garner trust who can be trotted out for a future use that has not been determined yet, like “debunking” any negative story about the Dem candidate. Lots of ways to use him, and even if they have a current plan they don’t have to stick to it.
Important to remember our enemies are NOT omnipotent, and many of their plans go awry.
For instance, the Indictments were supposed to drive us AWAY from PDJT, even as they advanced DeSantis as an alternative; didn’t work.
From the comments posted here by influencers, its obvious Jr. was primarily intended to break off that portion of PDJT support that are pissed about the Vax and operation warp speed.
For the most part, didn’t work but they still plug away, as ANY votes/support they can pull away from PDJT is a ballot they don’t have to stuff.

I have my hunches but this could also just be part of the grander battle we all face.. Lots of people today get their news from podcasts or other social media twitter/gab/tiktok.. they still don’t go in and read the docs for themselves. They take the presentation and it’s breakdown at face value and run with it. The masses who want bite sized details for easy consumption gobble up these twisted details. It’s obviously by design to keep the masses confused, so they lack real understanding of what’s going on so they cannot ever truly fight back.
I do agree with Sundance in identifying it and addressing it out in the open sunlight. This is the best method to resolve. The devil is always in the details.

I would, from my position as an admin, like to add a little thinking from a behind the scenes perspective. We have an increasing amount of comments way outside our guidelines. We have some that are increasingly profane, for no reason, just because they can, or want to. We have people who are so argumentative that we are getting a lot of contact about that. And we have some who post comments that really are just unbelievable as in how could you ever think it’s okay to say this?
However, discussion and conversation is different from that. Several days ago I had one of the best give and take discussions I’ve ever had with several of you, starting with a comment I restored. It had been deleted because enough people didn’t like what the person had to say and flagged it. Not because it was outside comment guidelines, or sketchy content. It was deleted by people who didn’t like it, but wouldn’t engage.
If you are learning from Sundance, and from the people here who contribute massive amounts of good information, one would assume you would put that knowledge to good use, and in turn help to inform other people. If you can’t use that knowledge and learn some logical thinking and how to debate and dialogue here, then what’s your point? If you just want people around you who recite a mantra with you, then you’re not engaging your brain.
Also, we have to spend a lot of time on aggressive commenters who are always attacking people, on those who just post stuff that should not be put here, and we also try to keep things on topic. It makes it a lot harder to keep things clean here, when so many people just decide they can go off the rails.
If I ever see a comment that starts, “Off topic, but…” I don’t ever approve it, or I delete it. As religious as you all know me to be, if I see a comment in moderation that’s a sermon with Biblical quotes for a political post, I delete it. Yes, I understand your warnings, and I see what you think of as great relevance. But don’t try to hijack political discussions and turn them into a church service.
Stay on topic. Respect other viewpoints. Do not post inappropriate and offensive content, and you know what I’m talking about, not opposing viewpoints, but vulgar content. If you have to use asterisks to get a word past moderation, grab a dictionary or thesaurus.

Very insightful compilation of sneaky debating tactics, Sundance. What struck me is that this is what all the leftists I know do when discussing politics, and then they self-righteously wield animus and deploy gas-lighting to distract from their deceitfulness.

I don’t think the “control operatives” here are limited merely to IC and government voices. And I see it here and elsewhere, especially heightened during major election cycles. Expect to see it from political and corporate aligned interests not directly in the government sphere as well.
And it’s not just lone wolves. They sometimes show up in packs, upvoting each other to astroturf an illusion of ‘community support’. Elsewhere, it is commonly called “brigading”. The same circular echo chamber modeling they use in the media and everywhere else.
The site administrators here, and elsewhere, have their work cut out for them this time of cycle. Some of these persons can be very artful and cunning; a drop of poison in a pitcher of water is how they do it.

I don’t know, Someone. Please tell this to the former President of Hertz. After buying approximately 60,000 EVs, Hertz is selling off about 20,000 of them. The reason, lack of customer interest in renting them. Ford has cut production targets for its Lightning EV F150. The reason, cost (never came close to the $41 k price tag) and lack of interest by Ford consumers.
I’m not saying EVs have run their course, but they seem stalled for now based on price and performance (e.g., remember, the pictures this winter from Chicago charging stations?).
What is disconcerting though (I agree with you), is the US is not ready to be dominant in the EV market. Whether it is the vehicle or battery, China is leading the charge. Imagine EVs being mandated in the US when China controls approximately 90% of the battery market? What could go wrong? s/
Its going to be really interesting to see how this plays out, short, mediym and (should I live so long!) long term.
Blackrock apperently provides financing for CCPChina to build YUGE factories in Mexico, to produce massive # of EV’s for the U.S. Market,…that nobody here actually WANTS.
Apperently they are counting on Joe and to a lesser degree Gavins mandates,( that PDJT vows to rescind on day one) requiring all new cars to be EVS.
HOW does this all turn out?
They surely have expectations and long term plans.
During the Plandemic every single auto manufacturer sold in America dropped their economy car lines.
If fuel efficiency was critical why would they do that?
Because The Perpetrators That Be intend to leave us no other choice.
Is there really a market worth being dominant in, and with decades under their belt (Prius) why doesn’t Toyota dominate?
The majority have no interest in EVs. 1856-2024….still hasn’t caught on.
