For years the Union spokespeople worked for workers. The curtain is lifted and we now see they blatantly promote the Left. Most people wouldn’t pay their dues but no ticket no work. Unions would just as soon see the factories close then surrender to the real workers.
I saw this when I worked at VW in the late 70’s till closing in ’88. Once the tax exempt status dried up, VW decided to go to Mexico! They soon realized that Mexicans can’t build a car as good as Americans! By that time, all the machinery had been removed from the plant and VW had to settle elsewhere!

Exactly right. I had to be a member (closed shop state) and hated it. The old “us vs them” crap, and because the mechanics, pilots, and baggage handlers unions wouldn’t give an inch to help Pan Am get over the hump in 1990, it went bankrupt.
It wasn’t entirely the unions’ faults, but it was a BIG factor. Instead of “We all love Pan Am, let’s come together and see what makes our hurdles unique, and how can we compete, it was the endless hostility. Instead of part of something, we got ALL of nothing.

Do we need more proof that our “leaders” in every field have been compromised? In this clip, the union “leader” knows that the union members will not follow their lead, but they will still use the union membership fees and to donate to the PACs who hate the union members themselves. Already in the mid-1970’s, my father, a union member in Chicago, said that the union leadership was not interested in representing the union membership’s views. This is not new. I support the concept of unions, but the leadership was completely compromised a long time ago.
