Harvard Law professor emeritus Alan Dershowitz and former Department of Defense Chief of Staff Kash Patel discuss President Donald Trump’s criminal case, the J6 targeting and the use of FISA-702 to conduct political surveillance.
I am prompting the video to 02:20 to focus one aspect of the interview on the Republican led FISA-702 reauthorization and extension. I agree with almost everything Mr Patel says about the ramifications of the GOPe House, led by HPSCI Chairman Mike Turner, and the FISA extension. However, there is also an aspect that 99% of everyone misses, and within that dynamic we become victims to our own willful blindness. First, watch the segment on FISA-702 (prompted):
OK, do you hear Patel discussing the horrible decision-making by the republican controlled House as it pertains to FISA-702 extensions.
Everyone agrees the version of the House authorization by the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence (HPSCI) is the worst possible outcome; it expands 702 abuse by expanding the surveillance authority. That reality is factually accurate and correct.
So, reconcile this:
[Source]
Wait, what?
If the 702-reauthorization bill that passed the HPSCI committee vote is as bad as Patel and everyone says it is (which it is); and if the bill completely ignores the reforms that were suggested and advocated for by Patel and Nunes (which it does); then how does Kash Patel reconcile his boss Devin Nunes supporting the bill per Mike Turner?
The reconciliation is found inside the issue I have recently written about.
Mike Turner is lying about the support from John Ratcliffe and Devin Nunes for the HPSCI FISA-702 reauthorization bill. Ratcliffe and Nunes do not support the Turner construct.
But wait, if that is true (which it is), then why are Ratcliffe, Nunes, and by extension Patel, silent about Turner’s false support claims?
The answer…. Institutional preservation of the HPSCI compartment, and a desire for access therein.
Yes, that is correct. They will rage against the outcome of the institutional endeavor, but only so far as the value of the institution itself must be maintained. Ratcliffe, Nunes and yes, Kash Patel are functionaries of the system. Their sense of identity is dependent on the system.
The CIA director, NSA director, ODNI, FBI Director, etc are not in charge of the compartments they represent. They are simply functionaries -middle men- who operate in the space between where the compass points are directed, where the data originates, and oversight of that data that is ultimately filtered and delivered to the functionaries, who then brief the representatives…. who then create policy… albeit flawed policy…. based on a very specific, controlled, compartmented and skewed information flow. (more)
The value of Kash Patel’s institutional currency is connected to his access, even with Republicans in charge. The same is true for Nunes and Ratcliffe.
The institutional leadership, those functionaries in control of the compartment (silo), can block access to the silo thereby devaluing the career currency of other functionaries. The DC preservation system is contingent upon this process being retained.
Nunes, Ratcliffe and Patel will not speak honestly about the Mike Turner outcome, specifically as it relates to the conniving manipulation therein (ie. it’s a f**king lie), because they would run the risk of being ostracized from the HPSCI compartment – from which their value is determined.
The institutional corruption is retained, yet they rail against the outcome of the institutional corruption. See the game?
If this were not the case, Mike Turner would be directly confronted, the lies and manipulations exposed, and a very serious battle would take place publicly.
Unfortunately, that public battle is viewed as too risky. As a result, the corrupt DC functionaries operate without any accountability, no corrective action takes place, no accountability is metered out, and WORSE…. the oblivious general public cheer on the people like Patel who give the illusion they are railing against corruption.
For those who choose denial and pretending over the brutal reality of the example expressed, your criticism of me is irrelevant. The truth exists regardless of your comfort level.
Accepting you are an abused victim to professional gaslighting, manipulation and Machiavellian deceit, carried out by those who claim to be your allies, is painful and unnerving. However, failing to accept the reality of the example cited only retains your status as a victim, a codependent enabler, a battered conservative.
It is a remarkable dynamic. Many people can see how the functionaries played against President Donald Trump this way, but they cannot see how they, themselves, are continually being played.
Want to break the cycle? Then publicly ask Patel in this type of forum, “if the House 702 reauthorization and extension is so bad, then why is Mike Turner saying your colleague Devin Nunes enthusiastically supports it?”
Lastly, the absence of that question showcases why Maria Bartiromo is considered a “key influencer” by those in DC who rely on key influence. Oh wait, you’re thinking maybe Bartiromo just doesn’t know what question to ask. I mean, she just interviewed Mike Turner, so she probably forgot. Yeah, yeah, that’s the ticket.
Thank you Sundance it is sh!t like this that keeps me coming here every day TRUTH that i will find no where els and yes some times it’s a truth that truly disappointes but as you say truth has no agenda so while i am sad to learn of Cash’s self interest in priority over the country’s interests so once again better to know the truth stop pretending and move on . it does beg the question though is there any one we can really trust . at this point it seems if a person is currently in D.C. or has ever worked in D.C. it would be a big fat NO

The politicians hate us all.. 10 years ago I was told by a person in the investment business that he had a friend who worked in the office of Senator Bill Nelson she told him politicans fear the internet the most why they can be exposed easily..We had breakfast**(he was( recruiting me for his companies advisory services)** the thing I walked away with most from that conversation.. He told me he never watched the NEWS**.He told me if he did he couldn’t do his job …

The choosing of April 19 was not random!
https://www.britannica.com/on-this-day/April-19
I suspect several other historic events WILL BE occuring that day!
”Then suddenly, all at once.”
That’s around the time that the movie “Civil War” will come out.
For some strange reason.
Anniversary of Lexington and Concord.
Covid 19.
19 hijackers.
91 indictments (flip it).
And on and on.
Teeing it up.
dates matter.
Director is a Brit.
Imagine that.
Nothing new under the sun.
That’s funny….. lolol
Yes it is!!!
I’ll just put out one observation on Patel: When on Bannon, and when plugging his book Government Gangsters between rants, he always throws out things that the Trump DOJ (almost as if it is him) will do as corrective actions (read: revenge and payback). He also throws out names a lot of times.
You never show your cards before everything is on the table. Never.
I think he (and Bannon oftentimes) is just throwing read meat out to the audience.
That’s about all I’ll say other than trust no one. No one.
It is a plain fact that the FBI and National Security State spied on Patel when he was going after them.
That’s actions, not words, on both sides.
There’s more going on here than meets the eye.
All warfare is based on deception and both sides can play the game.
Patel is a bookseller its a lucrative game ….
starting out by not trusting anyone in government
or in the so called journalism field no matter which
side they profess to be on
No one!!!
Bannon promised “100 seats for 100 years” in the 2022 mid terms… How’d that work out?
Accepting you are an abused victim to professional gaslighting, manipulation and Machiavellian deceit, carried out by those who claim to be your allies, is painful and unnerving.
This is something that I’ve been painfully aware of for more than a few years now.
We have very few allies that are trustworthy, which is a major part of the reason why the republic has been lost, and any thought that we can “take back the country” is not realistic. It is a bitter pill to swallow, but one that needs to be swallowed nonetheless.
There is no realistic hope of salvaging the democratic republic that we once had, and the sooner that we all come to terms with that, the better. The corruption is too pervasive and too extensive.
Those States where sanity and integrity still prevail need to act ASAP to save themselves, to gain (or regain) their independence, to assert their right to self-determination. The Texas Nationalist Movement is leading that effort in Texas.
texitnow [DOT] org
tnm [DOT] me
The Texas Nationalist Movement was successful in gathering enough signatures on a petition to include a referendum question regarding Texas independence on the Republican Party primary ballot for the primary in March. Everyone in Texas should get the word out about it and make sure that they get to the polls to vote in favor of it.
If Texas gets out, several other States would probably follow, perhaps even your own.
Seems sorta Doomy.
Seems like a good idea compared to trying to revive a constitutional republic with the likes of congressional buttf’ers and those that take a oath on stack of child porn.
don’t revive. starve by tax strike. massive non payments, default, and bankruptcy.
Do you not think the money printers would just print more money? What’s to stop them?
Yeah, and do their dirty job like they did with dividing Yugoslavia, no thanks.
Oh goody. We could have another Antietam. Maybe even a Chancellorsville.
/sarc
The idea is to AVOID civil war, which is where we seem to be headed now.
Any idea that we re going to “vote our way out of this” is not realistic.
Think about it this way. You have three choices.
1: Do nothing, try to survive as best as you can in the coming days. ( — or move to another nation — but where?)
2: Civil war — which would be very risky and very bloody. Much like every other institution in the nation, the military has been compromised, so victory is far from certain.
3: #NationalDivorce — let the bass turds have the blue States and Washington DC, then sit back and watch as it crumbles into a smoldering ruin.
You really think a peaceful “national divorce ” would be allowed?
What rump country are you imagining? The one with or without Space Force and Cheyenne Mountain, and the nuclear triad?
So then you choose to do nothing?
Do you honestly believe that you are going to vote your way out of this?
So actively engaged Treepers are doing nothing?
How do you see manifest change as being effected?
What an absurd bit of illogic.
We can’t vote our way out of it (so you say) and yet the same abusive Gov. that won’t allow us to vote our way out of this abusive relationship, IS going to let us walk away, IF we first, as a State, vote to divorce the Federal gummint.
And then, you say “letbthem have the blue
states” as if it was 1860, instead of recognising EVERY State, with minor variations is the same;
Rural is “red” to *Ruby Red” and there are one or more large, metro areas where they can hide 30-50,000 phantom voters, SO THAT they can paint the State purple or blue if neccesary, or paint it red but only as a coat of paint.
You think Texas is “Red” you didn’t pay attention to the recent impeachment of Ken Paxton, and how the Speaker of the House, although nominally a R, has appointed D chairs for all committees.
+1 This continued fostering of the notion that there are whole states of one political stripe or the other does only one thing. It allows people who shouldn’t have access to crayons to create cute maps of the US for their blog. The factional differences within a state are closer to the precursor of civil war than the original, which was the formation of 2 countries, who then fought a regular war.
Illinois is a great example
Seth Keschel did a great rundown on the problem TX has. Danger, Will Robinson!
#3 might work if ALL the patriots living in the dem cesspool states would move to the red states (even/especially those who used to be more reliably red like Ohio). We need overwhelming numbers to stop the leftist takeovers of states like mine. If we really outnumber them then we should be able to make red states solid red again. I know that’s a big ask for those of you who live in nice climates like California or Nature lovers who live in places in the PNW. I don’t know. How many of the 50 do you think we could take over?
Because the last national divorce worked out so well.
🙄
The last national divorce was over an attempt to preserve the institution of slavery.
So then which choice would you make?
… civil war?
… or do nothing?
Not the point.
Dissolutions of such nature are dangerous.
Seeing such as the only and best solution is as pie in the sky as the Civil War sect.
it’s not as dangerous as you might believe.
After WWII, there were less than 50 nations on the planet.
Now, there are somewhere around 200.
The Earth didn’t expand, and the vast majority of those nations were formed peacefully after breaking away from other nations.
Tell it to someone whose relatives didn’t die in a Union concentration camp
Or crawl home from Chickamauga.
We live in an entirely different set of circumstances now.
If States were to break away, and the order were given to invade, “The Regime” would be taking a great risk in the sense that they could be facing a widespread rebellion in the ranks. A lot of the military personnel are from Texas, and States in the south, so would be more inclined to rebel against “The Regime”. It would also compel other States to join in, as it would be “now or never” if they wanted to extract themselves from the unholy alliance that we are in now.
Any order to invade could backfire big time.
“The Regime” is probably mindful of that.
Get after your state reps to ENFORCE the 10th amendment. That is ALL it takes to avoid civil war! Period.
That simple, isn’t it?
And that difficult.
What if… the people on the other side, who control the levers of power, don’t want nothin’ to do with our stinkin’ old 10th amendment or for that matter, our whole Constitution?
Thank you, Hopinow1.
RayBowman is like the guy who’s car won’t start, so he replaces the headliner.
Step 1 is ACCURATELY state the problem, aka DIAGNOSE the problem.
Problem is an overbearing FEDERAL Govt, that has grown way too powerful.
Thats exactly what 10A is FOR.
Ah, but we have no election integrity, and so can’t elect STATE leaders, that will use 10A to push back against Fed overreach.
Yes, because the real POWER has ALWAYS resided in STATES and that applies to the Political Parties as well.
The recent attempts to remove Ronna were as much of a waste of time as replacing McCarthy, or this succeding b.s.
The concentration of power is NOT with RONNA and the RNC, its with the 50 State R party Executuve Committees, who insure who will be the County Recorders and election board members in those key large Metro areas that detirmine election results.
This is HOW they control WHO are the County Sheriff, Judges, State Legislators (including that drunk Texas has forca Speaker!) as well as A.G., SoS, And State Judges, etc. and of coarse/course Federal officers such as Senators, Congress and Potus/VPotus…it all comes down to not JUST who counts the votes, but who puts who counts the votes into position.
An ICE needs 3 things; fuel, spark and compression,…and it can run just fine, with no headliner at all.
It wouldn’t be a ground war if it came to that. Our scoped hunting rifles, de-tuned military rifles, home protection pistols, etc. against bioweapons? Starvation versus… what, exactly?
Only a FED would say something so stupid, and say it here in the Treehouse. Is that you Peter?
Of course we will vote and ballot harvest where legal. We also work at the precinct level where the actual handling of ballots takes place. We are screening potential MAGA candidates in thousands of communities.
Americans aren’t going to engage in civil war. That’s a thoroughly propaganda movie coming out. You stupid FEDS are just floundering at this point. It’s pathetic and
We aren’t listening to you anymore. Just git…
Historically tyrants are not bashful about using foreign mercenaries against their own population. I am not betting on the “troops” to defend anything but their own rice bowl.
We must pass through the fire, whatever that is going to be. There is no avoiding what is coming for us. Getting right and put our faith in the only Lord and Savior Jesus Christ is our best preparation.
Forget the national map. Look inside your state county by county, precinct by precinct. You may find that the enemy is already inside your tripline. The invasion already happened and continues. There is no pure red state anywhere.
Not to mention those invaders coming across our wide-open southern border!
Or was it the result of British meddling, loyalist holdovers, and psy ops?
Doubt everything you ever learned.
BTW, Seward was a Mike Pence. He told a BS story that doesn’t withstand scrutiny about the night of the Lincoln assassination.
Our “history” is a fable, in large part.
OK – thanks.
Actually it was over money and if we have another it may be touched off by economics. (rotten bread is the worst of economics)
Want some facts? The North was benefiting indirectly from slavery MORE than the South directly did due to the tariffs (no income tax remember) and the packet boat system shipping most cotton out and most luxuries and tools into the South thru NYC not to mention the northern textile Industry. The Northern bankers went to meet the new President Lincoln and the call for the Army went out.
Oversimplified but the Confederacy was going to be a free trade competitor with the North.
Lincoln didn’t really care about black slaves and you can read it in his quotes and in the fact he wanted to ship all blacks back to Africa (Liberia?)
Ahh… you have to pick and choose from among his quotes to support the above narrative, which is in many ways true; but Lincoln didn’t have the political clout to dare risk making an Emancipation Proclamation until well after certain pieces were in place.
Before then he said a lot of different things, in varying contexts, to a lot of different people, for a lot of political reasons. Picking one’s way through those narratives doesn’t really support a viable overview of Lincoln’s entire thought process or political strategizing.
A reformed agrarian south… flash forward… we still produce about20 million bales of cotton annually, but without slave labor. The economy post-Civil War was a fast-evolving machine-driven enterprise, as the inventions of the industrial age overwhelmed the socio-economic neo-feudal order of the Old South.
Along the way, if you care to weave this thread into the dialogue, state’s rights, as they existed pre-Civil War but haven’t since, got sacrificed on the altar of human rights. And today both have been virtually lost.
Care to take that one on, and provide reasons as to why?
Merry Christmas, and with Tiny Tim, God bless us, every one.
Watch and pray.
Actually, for a thats damn good, for a one line summation, I like it!
“,..states rights, as the existed pre-Civil War and haven’t since, got sacrificed on the alter of human rights. And today both have been virtually lost.”
Used to say “God Bless THESE United States,,” before the CW, after its “God Bless THIS or THE United States,…”
States’ Rights yes.
But the machine driven part did nothing for a South that stayed impoverished until after WWII.
And the Emancipation was a psyop to try to cause the slaves to rise up in rebellion.
It had no legal status. The 13th Amendment did that.
After the Emancipation, Missouri, Maryland, and Delaware constituted to have slavery until the 13th.
Care to take that on?
Exactly
The last Civil War was over States’ Rights – self determination
if you think the Civil War was about slavery, you need to read, “It Wasnt About Slavery” by Samuel W. Mitcham, John McLain, et al. Well researched.
Another general fighting the last war, or a war or two before the last war. Behind the times. Be careful what you wish for.
No, it was only partially that issue. It was more about the manipulation of the tariff system by north-easterners who ruled Congress, and made the cost of living very high in the South.
There were multiple attempts in Congress to resolve this. (Look up the Tariff of Abominations, and the Morill Tariff). Lincoln only made it about slavery when the Union was losing the war.
The 13th Amendment was not applied to slaves in Northern states after the War. They got to keep their slaves.
AntieFa v. Rittenhaus –consider it a trial run. I know what side I’ll be on. Do you?
I’ll take door #3, thanks!
4. we create a parallel govt, starve the old, corrupt one, and invade the corrupt urban areas. its not blue and red states. its blue and red precincts.
Or neighborhoods. Or streets.
Interesting idea. The federal purse has become a huge abomination, but also the prize of all gov’t parasites, internal & external.
Kill the fed tax system, and all the rest will sort itself out.
I believe that a necessary precursor to “national divorce” is for red state governors to deny the ability of federal LE to operate in their state, armed or unarmed.
Why should states get out? I mean they have the 10th amendment and can nullify ANY law fed Congress makes! Secession is cowardly in my opinion. They can start with the Patriot Act! Don’t enforce it and demand it be repealed! Without state enforcement the fed is dead! The Patriot Act is repugnant to the constitution! And so many other “acts” are repugnant to the constitution too! They enforce those unconstitutional acts because they get MONEY FROM THE FED. That is prostitution! Texans should demand more from their reps. And not allow them to turn tail and run!
We all hang together or we shall surely hang separately.
the problem w secession is that the rest of the good people left in the remaining states would be drowned and overwhelmed in the evil that remains. a better outcome for all of us would be to expell Kalifornia.
Those states are gonna have to think about what to do about seniors, SS, & Medicare. The welfare slobs can go back to work, but seniors …

So how do you see Trump dismantling this corrupt system when the very supposed allies he would turn to for help in this are posers bent on protecting the corrupt system? Short answer …. he won’t be able to change it any more than he did the first time.
GOOD POINT.

It is the states that WILL NOT use the 10th amendment THAT HAS ALWAYS been the problem in the USA. Behind the states are the people who WILL NOT DEMAND that their reps use the 10th amendment and not comply with laws NOT IN AGREEMENT with the constitution. Fed money is the BAIT and the states want that money. Wake up!
Sing it loud, and just keep repeating it, cause its TRUTH!
“Fed money is the BAIT and the states want that money. Wake up!”
It is the same reason people, especially minorities, vote Dem. The Fed money is the bait and the hook.
The Feds have none of their own money except the worthless stuff they keep printing out and claim it has value. Otherwise every single Fed dollar is confiscated from the States and the people within. The Feds then use extortion and that evil quid-pro-quo thing to implement the federal agenda. “We’ll give you 5 cents of each dollar you sent us back to you if you agree that there are 37,000 genders, that removing your sons testicles and daughters breasts is good for their mental health, and that killing a human baby without due process and conviction is not really murder.
So for the privilege of getting 5% of your money back you just have to sell your soul.
Drain the Swamp. Close most of the Departments and the other Alphabet Agencies. I mean all of them. Put those million government workers out of work. How many kids does the Department of Education teach? How much grain does the Department of Agriculture grow? How much water does the EPA clean? Get rid of NPR, CDC, HHS, and on and on. Take that money and return it to the people. When there is no money to be made in Washington DC, people will stop spending 50 million dollars to be a senator that earns 200,000. When there is no money to steal the crooks will go elsewhere.
You all have heard me say we are all on a train. Now the train is headed to socialism. The first cars are getting close to the Socialist Station. But the rest of us will get there also. The problem is the Engine is not pulling the train; it is pushing the train. Stopping it will be messy and it will involve doing something to the engine.
When you talk states lets look at Deep Red Tennessee.
DEI, CRT, poor scores on reading and math. Yes
Mass Shooting in Nashville and the Politicians wanted to hide the manifesto and pass a Red Flag Law. When the manifesto clearly showed, it was not a gun problem. Yes
TN Dept of Health instituted all the nonsense Wuhan Flu regulations and promoted things that would kill folks. Yes
Does the Governor want to invest in private businesses and did the state give millions to the EV cathedrals in Memphis and Franklin. Yes
I could go on and on.
We have as big a problem in the states and we do at the federal level.
Thank you for the reality check. Humans are addicted to routine. Everybody wants change, but good luck trying to get any. No thing changes until it has to change. Change is pain.
EXACTLY THIS in Texas. The people are red, not the leadership. And this is a big reason why I am hoping for a GOP implosion because I think it is beyong fixing and it is a key player in keeping states’ leadership from looking anything like the people they are supposedly serving.
There are no “Red States”; they are just PAINTED that way, as your brief summary of Tennesse shows.
The recent impeachment of Paxton in Texas shows HOW they paint States Red, as the R’s in the State Legislature, particularly in Control positions like Speaker, are really RINOS.
So, WHAT State is “TRULY RED”? NONE, they are just painted that way.
But, what State is truly BLUE? If you look, precinct by precinct, Delaware, Massachsettes, NYS and Cal. are NOT really Blue; the rural areas comprising 90+% of the land mass are RUBY RED, and one or more large metro areas, where they can hide 30-50,000 phantom voters, are used to paint the State Blue.
Its a CON, as is “America is a 50/50 nation, with slightly more votking Democrat”.
Hmmmmmmmm… Behind the scenes is always a different story. As you say, SD, the truth has no agenda.
So, at this time, what kind of “access” could a Devin Nunes have to the likes of Mike Turner and Friends ? It’s not like Mike is going to say “Hey Devin, here’s your monthly update on the corruption we’re working on”. However, Mike could say “Hey Devin, we’re further selling out the constitutional rights of American citizens and if you give your implicit blessing there’s a big wine order coming your way”.
“The CIA director, NSA director, ODNI, FBI Director, etc are not in charge of the compartments they represent.”
So what would it look like if these department heads really were in charge rather than being mere figure heads or functionaries? In the context of the government what does “being in charge” look like?
It looks like those behind the functionaries are dealt with.
Even if that requires the utter eradication of a great many agencies en toto.
1st, I’d say, it looks like a 30% budget cut. Across the board. Those in charge need to make hard, existential choices. And be held accountable for the results.
30%? How about 90%?
Think of a Cabinet Secretary as,…and this is difficult because Buerocracies are not businesses,…like a CEO that DOES NOT have the Board of Directors backing him up.
So, when he says “Make it so” its more like a suggestion, that the functionaries below him are free to ignore with impunity.
The Cabinet Secretary will only be there for,…AT THE MOST 8 years, although very few last that long.
Meanwhile the functionary has been in position for 15 years already, and will be there long after the Cabinet Scretary has moved on.
And it is this army of functionaries that actually perform whatever functions the Dept. does, NOT the Cabinet Secretary.
Eunuch’s and mandarins, and the modern version childless cat ladies.

Republicans voting to approve expanded 702 FISA Surrveillance by the FBI is like roaches voting to approve RAID! The expanded surveillance is only going to used to target and prosecute Republicans!
I find it discouraging how many commenters here, display BY their comments that they JUST DON’T GET IT, and despite using the term “UNIPARTY” are still stuck in “D vs R” thinking.
The Republicants want your guns, wealth, livlihood, progeny and life, every bit as much as the Demoncrats.
The Republicants want the J6ers, and all Trump Supporters dead or in reeducation camps.

Some seem so enmeshed in the Punch and Judy puppet show they forget who’s really pulling the strings, and why.

There are still a lot of people that pay a lot of money to go to a Harlem Globetrotters game or to watch an evenings worth of “professional” wrestling. And believe that there is an actual competition going on rather than a theatrical production.
Honestly, it was a punch in my gut to find out and realize Ratcliffe, Nunes and Patel, three individuals I have a lot of respect for and thought they had Trump’s back, are functionaries of the system and not taking a stand for truth as I thought they were doing. This makes me wonder about another individual I have little knowledge about, but respect what I know of him and that is Ezra Cohen-Watnick. Is he also another functionary of the system or is he one of the last stand up guys? What are your thoughts about this individual Sundance?
And Bannon
Clearly he continues to pursue his own agenda….at whatever the cost?

I know someone, and that’s as far as I’m willing to go, who for years worked for the functionaries while wearing the uniform of one of this country’s services. They listened to 9/11 and Operation Desert Storm in real time feeds from at home and in theater. They claim much of what we were told is pure fiction. Didn’t it strike you as odd that they knew the names of the “hijackers” mere hours after the planes hit the towers?
They were in direct communications with the functionaries who create the lies, the propaganda, and the policies, and policy statements that fed the State Department, CIA, FBI, and even the White House with the narrative they wanted fed to the “news” outlets.
The person I know was appalled at what he was part of, and spoke out. He was warned that it would not go well for him if he spoke out. Most of what I know is due to my former military service, understanding the military mindset, and determining the right questions to ask. Sometimes I’ll get a nod, occasionally a negative response to my queries. This person is bound by a lifetime oath of silence, and they’ve seen the repercussions to Julian Assange and Edward Snowden. Are they afraid to tell what they know? Hell yes!
I’ve never heard you come out and say who these functionaries are. I would like to read your thoughts if you dare. That is not a challenge to be careless…
I thought SD defined the functionaries as the heads of and deputy/undersecretaries of the three ltr agencies?
Relative to many things we read about that Sundance reports here at the Treehouse I have a resource to share that has my attention here in the last week. Treeper friends, if you haven’t learned anything about bitcoin (which I know little but am learning) this book https://www.amazon.com/Fiat-Ruins-Everything-Financial-Bitcoin/dp/B0CMFJWJVC/ref=sr_1_1?crid=CSUW9L87OXVU&keywords=fiat+ruins+everything+by+jimmy+song&qid=1702873364&sprefix=fiat+ruins%2Caps%2C136&sr=8-1
by Jimmy Song should get your attention. He is a believer, seems to be libertarian in his views and is a lot smarter about economics bitcoin and blockchain than most people I’ve listened to who understand all the above. I came across him during the pandemic and he has written this book I cannot seem to put down. There is only one true hope: Jesus Christ is the way, the truth and the life. But the Lord puts people in our path who are smarter and more thoughtful than us, and sometimes they make an abundance of sense, much like Sundance (hat tip).
So there you have it. I’m off again to listen to mine on Audible. Have a great and prosperous week!
Yeah, u rite!
August 1992: Ruby Ridge
April 19, 1993: Waco Massacre
April 19, 1995: Murrah Federal Building bombing
This isn’t limited to just this issue.
Any committee member you might have the pleasure of dealing with is vested in agreeing with you on how bad the agency of which they have oversight.
They will even ask you for a contribution to help fight that renegade agency. And you will gladly step up to help someone that understands your issue.
But, when it comes time vote to castrate that agency they forget they had just told you they were there for you and your issue.
And then you’re left feeling like a Senate Staffer on date night in the Senate hearing rooms.
I wonder if the system is so thoroughly corrupted no improvement can be achieved from inside and must happen from a dramatic external force.
Ironically, a catastrophic miscalculation by our military could cause the Pentagon to be targeted and destroyed…perhaps all of greater Washington DC.
The lust for power and the desperate clinging to that power is a major vulnerability because those obsessed become disconnected from the ultimate consequences of their obsession.
If Washington DC has lost all morality, trust and human decency in the hearts and minds of a majority of decent, patriotic Americans, why should those Americans care if is destroyed? If DC is a source of nothing but tyranny, corruption and lawlessness, the sooner it disappears, the better.
yes, pray that Little Rocket Man can get one on target.
thus govt is dug in hard though. when they did the continuity of govt under dickhead cheyney, thats when they took all the real command operations and hid them on deep and various places and created their AI god.
The buried headline in the main story is that the renewal is ONLY until April of 2024.
The B.S. reasoning is “beca se some in Congress ARE expressing reservations about the abuse”,…that THATS why only a short term renewal, which makes no sense at all.
Because we are concerned the parent has repeatedly abused theur child to the point of requiring hospitalisation, we’re only goingvto give them TEMPORARY custody, until next year?
They are reauthorising so they can continue to employ it against US (J6, etc) and PDJT, ….but not authilorised longer, say 4 or 8 years as previously, BECAUSE theycare not confident they will keep PDJT out of the Oval.
Guaranteed, if PDJT is declared the winner in 2024, Congress will suddenly decide the FISA system is rife with abuse against American citisens, and between election night 2024, and innaugeration 2025, they will passxa majir reform package insuring there can be NO two hop 702 searches against ANY American, like Hillary, Comey, McConnell, Ryan, Fauxi, etc.
This, the recent “Potus can’t withdraw from NATO, are measures they are taking now, to try to limit PDJT “in the unlikely event he should win”, i.e. an “Insurance Policy”.
Perhaps because FISA works both ways.
“because they would run the risk of being ostracized from the HPSCI compartment”
IMO it’s worse than that. Anyone who opposes reauthorization will find themselves a target of the IC and the DOJ. And they are very much aware of it.

Yesterday, right here in the Treehouse, I was advocating in support of Patel.
This morning, all at once, another one bites the dust.
Actually, more than one – Nunes signed that letter?
And while I’m at it. No one knows the heart except the Lord, but my style of Christian belief would be overturning a few tables, if you know what I mean, not have publicized prayer circles like the Speaker.
By the way, good morning, FBI.
I have wondered the same thing re the new speaker. In addition, if we can’t trust Patel, Nunes, Bannon, etc., can we even trust Trump?
yes. we cannot depend on the system or those dependent on the system to fix the system. it is bottom up. always has been, always will be. Trump or no Trump, it will take millions of us ready to make huge sacrifice, breaking unjust laws, that will liberate us all. nothing else.
It is a pity that Alan Dershowitz does not carefully read the books of the prophet like Amos, Hosea and Isaiah and how they expose the roots of the problem we have with fallen human nature and the rebellion against God. The problem cannot be resolved if we refuse to acknowlege it and that we are unable to fix it and that this requires the extraordinary intervention of God: this is the message of Christmas.
It would take at least three governors to become disobedient to the Fed and say No in a quiet, legal manner that would turn the Fed upside down. But what governor has the acumen or spine to do so?
My light keeps getting brighter, Thank you Sundance
So Nunes, Radcliffe, and Patel, in reality, support this unconstitutional abuse in order to retain access to it. So … with so-called friends and patriots like them, who needs enemies? Thank you, Sundance, for the clarification.
That’s not exactly what SD is saying IMO.
The essence of the “j’accuse” is that access to the structurally imposed information silo system is the bedrock value proposition for folks like Patel – it incentivizes them, in the end, to protect the imposed system of information flow controls. They benefit from it.
The complementary thought, one that goes beyond the specific mechanism in play, is that “their sense of identity is dependent on the system.” That’s a much bigger charge in the grand sweep of things. It’s stating that these people understand their potential – their potential in life – and actuating that potential. In short, that these people, if this is accurate, would do the same were other exploitable opportunities available. It’s in their DNA…so to speak.
This is so very hard to accept when it was Nunes who called the press briefing to expose stuff and delivered the info to Trump.
So the next question really becomes: what was that briefing really all about???
How long has the deep state been in the process of making Trump the Martyr – a necessity for the color revolution? When did they decide to do it?
That could lead me to answers I do not like but honestly have been considering recently.
Let’s also ask the question about Nunes at the head of Truth Social……this could be very ugly.
In time we will see.
Recall that despite all the admonitions nothing really changed.
I do not know if SD is correct or not in individual cases.
What I do know, having experienced it, is the commonplace truism that access to information (and decision-makers) has always been a valuable commodity in DC – throughout one’s professional life….and even on into retirement (DC front companies anyone?!).
Selling the rolodex as it were.
Interesting.
So how is it that Howard Zinn was so wrong in his prognostications vis “the people” taking over via “quiet revolution”?
It never occurred to him, I suppose, that no matter who is in power….power corrupts. Something in the DNA I guess – and a flashing yellow light.
My objective here?
I believe Zinn missed something critical – the forces he saw gathering that would eventually infiltrate and suborn the “war machine” would itself be susceptible to the magnetic attractions of unbounded power; that the inner contradictions inherent to this aggregation of diverse interests would itself erupt in corruption, immorality and degraded humanity.
It’s happening. That’s the Good news – and the Bad news.
It’s not going to be pretty.
The 3 letter agencies have dirt or can manufacture dirt on every politician …………and they use it .
Could we be watching a show with various lures being cast about to document certain things?
I knew Kash Patel was a beta turd. Too bad, I like him and I think he’ll regret being a Coward.
Devin Nunes would never agree to this.
Rat- Cliffe might be FILTHY, I am not sure about that yet. He didn’t do anything about anything.
I still don’t trust him.
Is there ANYONE in DC that is not a corrupt bag of dog turd?
April 19th, Patriot Day in Massachusetts and elsewhere in New England. Sadly, all of those men and women of that day in history are shaking their heads at what has become of the nation that their blood had birthed. Our government is no longer of the people, by the people, and for the people as our government now looks for and actively incites crimes against those of us who dare to speak out against the powerful. I have no doubt that all of us who post on this site will be visited by this government some day as an adjunct of J6 activities even though we were thousands of miles away. We think and we thought, therefore we are to be silenced.
The Jim Jordan outrage modus operandi. Nothing ever gets done.
Why has Hillary Clinton not received an invoice for the 38 million we spent on her Russia hoax asking for a friend anyone ?
I hope everyone understands that if the election in 2024 happens the way we want, it’s not over. Not even close to being over.
The only person that you can trust is Jesus.
Psalm 1:1-3 NKJV
Blessed is the man Who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly,
Nor stands in the path of sinners, Nor sits in the seat of the scornful;
[2] But his delight is in the law of the LORD,
And in His law he meditates day and night.
[3] He shall be like a tree Planted by the rivers of water,
That brings forth its fruit in its season,
Whose leaf also shall not wither; And whatever he does shall prosper.
I, too, have to apologize to Sundance for partially protecting Patel’s reputation yesterday. After 9 years of CTH being the first website I visit each morning, I should have learned.
I totally agree with the argument set forth in this post. It makes perfect sense and totally explains why NOTHING ever changes in DC.
AND it raises one vital question:
IF the members of the HPSCI and the directors of the various alphabet-soup security agencies are NOT the ones in real control, then who IS in control?
I would theorize the same as always and everywhere—the money changers.
SD, to summarize I think what you are telling us with this example is the playing of the “pretending” game by these people as you coin it and how the “actors” go about it in each of the silo processes they are involved in… I guess you could say it is the play acting of “pretend” aka “politics…”
Sundance—You nailed it. Bravo! Caught them with both hands in the cookie jar. Now, if we were to follow the logic, what other conclusions might we arrive at (if we were intellectually honest)?
#1: Shouldn’t every user of Truth Social be at least a bit suspicious when Nunes, the CEO of Trump Media & Technology Group that operates Truth Social, goes on record in support of FISA 702 reauthorization, alongside Bill Barr and Mike Pompeo?
#2: Is President Trump, the current boss of Devin Nunes, intentionally blind to that fact, or is he “insulated from the truth (no pun intended) inside his information silo”? And if so, can we reasonably expect him to fix it?
I personally find it hard to believe and a bitter pill to swallow.
This reminds me of the Darren Beattie’s warning, “Everything in our politics will be fake and performative until we bring the national security state, including the FBI, to heel.”
You bring to light a great point, Barr is labeled a “Coward” by Trump… hmmmmmmmmmmm
LOL. the swamps a movin again! LOL. i do not, do not and never have trusted Kash. I laugh so much at these crazy train we’re all riding on. My hope and faith in my Lord Jesus Christ. I choose to smile. Let’s all do the same. Thank you SD for making my day.
Posted that question, with a screenshot of the letter to his Truth Social page. It is now being shared.
Bartiromo is CFR, she’s a big tool of the establishment as far as I’m concerned, because she doesn’t get to the heart of the questions ever.
“ if the House 702 reauthorization and extension is so bad, then why is Mike Turner saying your colleague Devin Nunes enthusiastically supports it?”
I just sent Mr. Patel this inquiry via email? Doubt he’ll respond.
Good to know! Now.
