In a historic first the House of Representatives has voted to remove Kevin McCarthy from his position as Speaker of the House.

WASHINGTON DC – Democrats joined with Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-Fla.) and his small group of conservative allies to vote to strip Kevin McCarthy of his gavel Tuesday. It’s unclear who would succeed McCarthy long term, though his allies expect he will try to run for speaker again.
Eight Republicans voted against McCarthy: Reps. Eli Crane (Ariz.), Ken Buck (Colo.), Andy Biggs (Ariz.), Matt Rosendale (Mont.), Matt Gaetz (Fla.), Bob Good (Va.), Nancy Mace (S.C.) and Tim Burchett (Tenn.).
Three House leaders have been floated as potential long-term replacements: Majority Leader Steve Scalise (R-La.), Whip Tom Emmer (R-Minn.) and Conference Chair Elise Stefanik (R-N.Y.). We can’t have the Speaker “making deals with the devil” McCarthy agreed back in January that if he didn’t uphold his promises, this would happen. It should have happened on his first break of promise. Good thing he wasn’t an Old Testament prophet… those were killed the first time they missed!!!
I personally could care less about those investigations or “any” impeachment efforts until the boarder is closed, the effort to prosecute Trump and the State and Federal levels are defunded and spending is cut drastically.

Well, McCarthy failed the GOP House Caucus, MAGA and DJT and now reaped the rewards for his lies and actions. Also, note that DJT has not uttered one word of support for McCarthy. Best you point the finger of blame directly at McCarthy.

McCarthy broke his promise on the J6 footage, started quarter-hearted impeachment proceedings, and caved on the budget fight. McCarthy’s House was inconsequentially different from Pelosi’s House on every issue which matters.
If McCarthy manages to become Speaker again, what will be different? Nothing, except that the mask will be fully off.
On the other hand… Yes, it is unlikely whoever replaces McCarthy will be different, but a message has been sent. If you govern like McCarthy, if you break your promises like McCarthy, your leadership position is not safe. That is important. It is even more important when we consider whoever replaces McCarthy is unlikely to have the same amount of power, influence, and loyalty as McCarthy did. That person will be even more vulnerable to a revolt. Caesar, thou art mortal.
I said back during the initial voting for Speaker that the Republicans, by throwing many of the 2022 House races, made a strategic mistake. They gave themselves too small a majority, one that left the Uniparty vulnerable to a small MAGA revolt.
Gatz identified this. He saw the weakness in the enemy’s lines and had the stones to personally lead the charge. Ultimately, after stripping away the conceits of civilization, that is what the lives of men and of peoples come down to.
That is what happened today. That is why it is important. The downstream effects will be interesting to watch.
