Representative Matt Gaetz (R-FL) expresses a great deal of contempt for FBI Director Chris Wray during questioning today.
From the topic of FBI conduct in the Hunter Biden investigation to the FBI surveillance of American citizens through unauthorized and illegal database searches, Matt Gaetz goes full wolverine on the FBI director. WATCH:

Wray is such a smug azz
Wray and the rat have the same eyes. The rat is cuter.
Call me when they do something beyond WERDS.
I like Gaetz…..Although he’s a politician Lawyer…..and I would not vote for him because of that….Lawyers are the problem…Sorry Gaetz……Voluntarily give up your Law License and I’ll vote for you…..Having said that….What is noticed….
Chris Wray does not in any way look concerned, rattled or bothered…..That tells me and should tell all of you the Fix is in….100% Theater……Remember, almost 50% of Congress are Lawyers…..Chris Wray is a Lawyer….See the problem??? It’s staring you in the face…..
They are all lawyers. You don’t have much of a choice!
50% of Congress are lawyers, but 100% are LIARS, and THATS the real problem.
And, it doesn’t require blackmail, just “do what we say, and we can guarantee your election/reelection, don’t do what we say, and we can guarantee you DON’T win.”
Didn’t Gratz get some serious $$$ for a book? Or was that Rubio?
Term limits, 6 and 2. And you can’t run for election in any capacity afterwards.
That’s what the founding father intended. I don’t think being reelected after their term was the intent of the founders.
I agree here.
People keep complaining that it’s all for show and demanding some “action”. As for myself, Im glad Wray can rest assured that someone won’t take his BS. Gaetz is a fighter, I’m not going to count him out yet
Count him and a few other out and there will be no one left on our side…
Bingo! There is not ONE MAGA in the Senate or the House.
MAGA is “our side” so exactly right that there is NO ONE on our side.
Otherwise, they would call a press conference, and explain these hearings are toothless, because the Speaker refuses to back them up, with taken legal action to force compliance.
That is something they COULD do, unlike that stupid rule change for a motion to vacate.
But they won’t, because they are fine with McCarthy tieing their hands.
First sentence says it all. “There is not ONE MAGA a in the Senate or the House.” NOT ONE. Everyone must reevaluate their stand or this country loses……
Here’s where we’re at. This country has hit Madagascar 3 speed –
“Alright animals, you may be your new owners so we don’t want to reinvent the circus wheel here so go out and do what you do.”
“Afro circus. Afro circus. Afro circus. Polka-dot polka-dot polka-dot afro!”
Yeah Jimmy and Matty boy, you guys really socked it to that Wray creep.
Wray probably had to go to the emergency room after the beating he took because his sides hurt so much from all of his laughing on the way home.
The only reason recruitment #’s are up are because the way these online job companies advertise nonstop. And many people are out of work.
I am a 70 yo male who a couple of years ago filled out some applications for a couple of security jobs (indeed, etc.) I never unsubscribed and my Gmail gets 50 or 60 different offers a day. Some are “Do I want to work for the fbi” ? The fbi needs qualified people like yourself. Start at 74,900. Mostly for clicks. So anyone 40 or under ,out of curiosity , might go further and waste 1 to 2 hours . I doubt many get hired.
Pray and help others
Florida FBI applications up from 2 to 4 is a 100% increase!
Very funny and probably true. And what does number of employment applications have to do with anything?
Exactly! More than likely Wray just made up the number anyway!
A: Nothing. Wray is using it to say “Your constituents think the FBI is just swell!” BS.
I think Wray is only hiring psychopaths like himself who only want a badge to jail the Regime’s opponents.
I agree Marc, pray and help others. And tell the good news of Jesus.
Complete waste of time . Chris Wray lies 100% of the time just like always and the GOP says “Thanks for coming ” the end.
That’s nice. But tomorrow Wray will be back at work covering up his past crimes and committing new ones. While sunlight is fine, I’d really like to see some actual justice some day.
Gaetz had his chance to shine on the debt ceiling issue and he chose to sit on his thumbs.
He neutered himself and the rest of the Freedumb Caucus.
What a turd.
“Only four Republicans voted against both the GOP bill and the bipartisan bill that passed Wednesday: Andy Biggs of Arizona, Ken Buck of Colorado, Tim Burchett of Tennessee and Matt Gaetz of Florida. Biggs and Buck are in the Freedom Caucus, but Gaetz and Burchett are not.
“After tonight, only four Republicans will remain in Congress who have never voted to raise the Debt Limit. I’m proud to be among them,” Gaetz said in a statement. “Though the Fiscal Hawk is an increasingly endangered species in Washington, we find ourselves hunted nonetheless.”
https://rollcall.com/2023/06/01/meet-the-house-members-who-voted-against-the-debt-limit-deal/
Did they draw lots?
Doesn’t really mean anything, to cast a vote that you know won’t effect the outcome.
Political posturing is all it is.
Zero out the salaries of the entire FIB. They do nothing to stop, fight crime. The gestapo should not be funded. In fact the whole thing should have been shut down with the latest, greatest debt deal.
Zero out the salaries of Congress,..probably wouldn’t matter, as their real $ is in the graft,…
This is all theater. The same old playbook – play to the masses, let them think you really care. Then you can continue to do NOTHING while the country implodes and you continue to sell out your fellow man.
I wouldn’t call that an exchange. It was more of a questioning monologue, in gotcha tones, by Matt Gaetz, interspersed with studied indifference from Wray.
Except he slightly overreacted disavowing protecting the Bidens, don’t you think?
Ye, he totally knew the answer to that question
I blame the rotten sob’s who voted to confirm Wray and also ALL of FJB’s cabinet picks.
They confirm then spend the next 4 years “investigating”.
I love the hard hitting punches but Christopher walking with no swelling of the face.
Unreal!
It is even more frustrating reading the comments, and people who need to know and understand the processes they want to see happen. Even though the Repubs have a small majority in the House, they are the minority in the Senate. There were big time tools the House could have used to force the Dems and Biden to negotiate say reopen energy production and put the Border Patrol back to arresting instead of being greeters. But McConnell killed half of that when he led the Senate, after the election, but Before the new Congress was seated, and with Pelosi and the Dems still in charge, agreed to funding the government for the rest of this year’s budget. Than 2 weeks ago, McCarthy negotiating or surrendering on his own, gave away whatever leverage they had, agreed to a budget that was not acceptable, but used Dem votes to pass it through, which passed the Senate, and Biden signed it. It would be helpful for if people educated themselves how the rules of governing work. Then you would have clarity as to who the real obstructions are.
McCarthy and McConnell!
Wray did not suddenly become evil upon assuming the job. He was a very known quantity in DC and was always going to run interference for McConnell. Biden and McConnell shouldn’t harbor such hatred for Trump, since he nominated and praised their pet snake.
Wray is doing the bidding of bigger interests than ours.
See my posts about the SPEAKERS vital role in any legal proceeding involving Congress.
Its another aspect of understanding THE PROCESS.
Yes, McCarthy and McConnell are f*cking us, but the refusal to use the power of the purse is accompanied by a refusal to use the power of the courts.
McCarthy signs the papers they got to Court, get a subpoena and if FBI (Wray) refuses to comply, its not just contempt of Congress (which we all have) its contempt of Ciurt, and Wray goes to jail until he complies.
I agree its important to understand HOW the process works, and how they manipulate the process, and depend on mist Americans ignorance of the process.
If people understood the process, no one would be singing Gaetzs praises, as they would all know his actions are all for show.
At this point, I’d be happy with a sound beating in the parking lot.
BillyD , 😄👍🇺🇲 !
Expressing contempt is one thing. Impeachment is another. FIRE HIM
We all deserve better than him
Best closing statement of the day
Gee, who was it that nominated the infuriating A-Hole Christopher Wray to sabotage our Republic and turn all of us into criminal suspects for supporting the MAGA agenda? Why it was Mr. MAGA himself, Donald J. Trump. This is why I’m not sure it makes any difference if he wins in 2024 or not. One man can’t fix the problem when that problem involves the entire political, bureaucratic and media establishment.
Chris Christie recommended Chris Wray. Chris Wray defended Chris Christie in the Bridgegate controversy.
.
Just one reason Trump wants nothing to do with Christie at this point.
.
I’m hoping Trump has since figured out who NOT to take personnel advice from. Christie and Pence sure won’t be feeding him names and McConnell will not be around forever.
Right??
McConnels an empty vessel, nobody is home.
Thune is the new turtle, mentored for years by the Master.
Cocaine wouldn’t even contemplate holding confirmation hearings for anybody who wasn’t career FBI and indoctrinated in the fraternity. Basically, you were going to get a turd no matter what
thank you, Rep. Gaetz, that’s the kind of energetic material we need!
“We’re deeply proud of them, and they deserve better than YOU.”
Ouchy ouch ouch… that was burntastic…
Matt G keepin it real!
Geatz just bought an other world of FBI monitoring and double secret probation. Something like seven ways to Sunday. Wray is one of the mob bosses of the Washington I.T. gangsters.
Another farce that lets anyone with critical thinking skills know their government is only good at waste fraud and corruption. Completely unaccountable.
Don’t ask, “Are you protecting the Bidens?”
Ask instead, “Why are you protecting the Bidens, and who else are you protecting in so doing?”
boom
Interesting, that without hesitation he knew that in the State of Florida there has been over 100% increase in applicants to the FBI. But any question pertaining to his job, he knows nothing at all.
Selective memory
When the head of the fish is rotten, all the low lifes come flocking to get their share of the power and feed from the funding trough. Geatz shouldn’t be quite so proud of those applicants. And those stats mean NOTHING regarding the wholesome reputation of the FIB.
Sorry Full wolverine would have been someone waiting outside the doors with handcuffs…
the rest is just meaningless words
Actually, I kind of like the Saddam approach, and not for Wray alone, but for Congress.
535, and not one MAGA in the bunch.
“Sir, You have no shame.”
You know that if Wray were to be physically attacked the DOJ would instantly indict Gaetz for inciting a hate crime.
“Sir, you have no shame….have you considered running for Congress?”
On behalf of the American people, I would be interested in knowing, that when witnesses sworn before the House, or a committee, clearly do not have the information (usually quantitative in nature) in their minds, nor in front of them, and the said witness articulates that they have to get back to the person interviewing said witness, what is the legal obligation the witness does indeed return an answer to the original interviewer’s inquiry? How much time is allowed said witness to gather the information sought?
Wray has lied to Congress numerous times. But don’t expect the very corrupt DOJ to ever indict him. The whole game is rigged. They don’t even try to hide it.
No one’s getting indicted or going to jail. We can’t pretend. But sunlight is being shined down, and while not the optimum result, it will open more eyes. The result in all these revelations may be greater than the sum of their parts.
How could President Trump have seriously interviewed a slippery slimeball like Chris Wray and put him in charge of the FBI?
Remember it was lying Chris Christie who recommended Wray to Trump as FBI Director. Trump should have known better. But at the time he trusted Christie.
We didn’t. Why did he?
Same reason he trusted Pompeo and all those others: they kissed his ass
Christie has ties to the Rockefeller clan. The Rockerfellers hated Trump and are part of the group funding the Democrat Mafia ( they’ve been doing so for decades to protect their rackets.) The Democrat Mafia is the same group going after Trump non stop. Once you connect those dots, it’s easy to see Wray is part of that operation too.
Matt Gaetz succinctly and unforgettably made
Wray look like the immoral lawless rat he is,
for all to see. It was fireworks, immortalized
righteous destruction of Worm Wray.
And BTW, a quibble about possible typo in title:
is the traditional spelling “fiery,” not “firey ?”
In any case , it was both, bravo Gaetz
and Bravo CTH coverage of all issues.
Yeah, and Goudy made Hillsry look like the lawless rat thst she is,…too.
And Lois Lerner, and her boss.
And Holder, even found him in contempt, IIRC.
“When will they ever learn,…when will they EVVVVEERRRR learn?”
“Representative Matt Gaetz (R-FL) expresses a great deal of contempt for FBI Director Chris Wray…”
I like Gaetz and we need more like him, but the times demand more than a display of verbal contempt for men such as Wray. The contempt must lead to serious consequences for the contemptuous. Wray knows that is not forthcoming from a weak GOP and so he continues his contemptuous actions with impunity. And the nation continues to suffer and to an ever increasing degree. Mere contempt will not restore the Republic.
Wray seems rather unconcerned about any of this, as though he knows he’s beyond their reach.
The Wray questioning and testimony accomplished nothing. Congress is uselless and Wray is a liar.
two of the most unattractive males on the planet..could use a good hosing down………
Doing all those drugs back in Ridgemont High certainly look to have taken a toll on Jeff Spicoli…
Wray isn’t protecting the Biden. He’s protecting his own Gestapo.
They love having a corrupted, blackmailable Puppet in the White House–just like all the other foreign Police State spy agencies.
They let Wray pretend he isn’t a Coup-Plotter, and that Bias Training cures Sedition and Treason.
Next up, the Fentanyl Hearings, where they will pretend Obiden isn’t a Cartel Boss and that the Flood of Fentanyl has nothing to do with half of DC being on China’s payroll.
Amazing how cloudy Wray’s answers were, until a dem asked a question.
We have reached a point in our nations history where one computer repair guy in Delaware has done more to stop corruption than the entire federal law enforcement community
Dems asking Wray who nominated him doesn’t absolve him of sedition, malfeasance, or political bias.
But, but, but … Dir. Wray and Dir. Comey are both fine upstanding Republicans! Just ask Mittens Romney!
So … every time a Rep. Rep. asked questions regarding “legal” issues … Wray deferred to FBI legal experts. “Sorry”, he said “but I am no longer a practicing attorney and cannot answer that question”. Until some Dem. Rep. asked him if the subpoena on the MaraLago RAID was legal … and Wray suddenly became a legal expert again by answering … “yes, of course the subpoena was legal”. Funny thing that … Wray is a legal expert only when the legality goes against PDJT.
“I’m not going to get into that” They won’t get into INVESTIGATION!! Federal Bureau of INVESTIGATION won’t get into INVESTIGATION????
Trump appointee!
Yawn – what else is new? Let me know when charges are filed. Meanwhile, we can file this under “all hat, no cattle.” Matt may turn out to be just like the rest of them.
I don’t know what the correct approach is, but America First House members need to stop treating Wray like he’s acting in good faith. If the standard is telling “the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth,” Wray fails the test on all three counts.
As you listen to and observe the “testimony” of the FBI director in answer to the Congress; consider that 1992 was a pivotal point where the FBI management shifted beyond petty crimes and misdemeanors; when they assisted Hillary Clinton with 900 background files on “enemies” of the Clinton regime. Since 1992 the top management has been held by committed Marxists and it appears members of the society of freemasonry… which is rhetorical at the least.
Hopefully, if we survive as a nation, the next director and all subsequent FBI Directors will be those who have served time in the ranks and have exhibited impeccable respect for that which they have sworn to defend. No more carrier political lawyers; ever.
There is no such person at the FBI. The career agents are all swamp rats same as the top brass.
Look at W Mark Felt. He was career FBI and he brought down Nixon’s government because he was upset at being passed over for promotion
How about no more FBI directors because there is no more FBI?
Sorry, couldn’t help myself I would edit your last sentence from “carrier political carrier lawyers” to carrier political PIDGEONS!” And no diss to pidgeons. I don’t know who is holding Wray by his short hairs, but its Pretty Captain Obvious, he is not “telling the truth so help him God with his hand on any kind of Constitution or Bible To think US taxpayer dollars will be paying for his retirement benefits, and his spouses as well for the end of their days really chaps my arse. I prefer the Led Zeppelin treatment: “Hanging from the Gallows Pole.”
Or “No Quarter “
You are so spot on, Hillary realized how easy it was to corrupt the FBI when Bill was President. She took a page out from the Hoover book.
Why would we have an FBI if we survive this as a nation? We’re living through the downside of having the FBI. Can you tell me the upside of having an FBI that outweighs this downside and makes it worthwhile? Cause I don’t see it. State and local police are fine for combatting crime.
Good Post! Clear thinking from B_L, so I posit the Moniker is wrong.
I have to agree. The US Constitution states that any areas of responsibility NOT specifically given to the federal (most centralized) gov’t. ARE the responsibility of the states or THE PEOPLE (most decentralized). This was in order to keep this very abomination of too much centralized power, from happening to this nation. Our nation’s founding fathers foresaw this very state of affairs because “Absolute Power Corrupts Absolutely” has been observed since the dawn of mankind, just like with King George in their own day.
There are several UNconstitutional federal agencies plaguing us now: CISA, FDA, CDC, FBI, CIA, DOJ, DHS, on and on and on. They’re all weaponized, thieves, traitors, holding us hostage – and worse.
I don’t see the upside either and the down side in light of Jan 6 and FISA abuse make it both urgent and imperative to reduce its power if it can not be disbanded.
Pass the budget of the fbi to local and state law enforcement. That would make a difference.
Indeed the freemasons despise Catholics hence their obsession with going after them.
I like the idea of disbanding the agency and using the marshalls instead.
The growing sense…as you gradually awake…that you’ve been in a drug-induced coma for a long while…and now find yourself locked in a cage….that is, in a police state.
