Former Maryland Governor Larry Hogan is big mad at all the billionaires that are pouring money into Ron DeSantis and not providing enough money for the other guys, like himself, who isn’t even a candidate.
Hogan hates Donald Trump and finds himself bitter and angry that political income (general political grifting) has become much harder now. The billionaires are all searching for someone, anyone who can defeat Trump and his insufferable America-First agenda. Hogan jumps up and down shouting look at me, over here, I’m acceptable; but the billionaires are just not giving him any attention. It is tough to be Larry Hogan right now.

Hogan came on to a local radio station in MD to start his campaign. Would have been almost no where without that to help kick start it. Then, refused to ever come back on to the station because the station had tough questions for Hogan during his tenure as Gov. That said all you needed to know about Hogan’s character and the longer he was Governor, he proved what was thought about his character. He became an insufferable dictator during Covid. And don’t believe the polls saying he had great support across the board. It’s Maryland! The D’s outnumber the R’s by 3:1 and many of the R’s are D’s in sheep’s clothing. Side note – The state is quickly becoming the next California, especially with the new Governor, Wes Moore, who is Obama 2.0. Don’t be surprised if he is put forward in ’24.

I like the way the interviewer sits back and has this “mission accomplished “ expression of ease. Regardless of win or lose when a reasonable candidate speaks with a crowd of more than 10 or 20 the message is heard. Ron had good points.

The WHOLE reason DeSantis was the most popular Governor thruout his first term, was a CON;
EVERY action he took as Governor, was a political calculation planned and intended to create the image of “the free State of Florida” and RDS as “Trump lite”.
It wasn’t that he”changed” after getting the $millions, he was ALWAYS terrible at connecting with voters, a terrible campaigner, and he was NEVER MAGA; it was all a “PR.” or advertising campaign to create a totally artificial, and unconnected from reality IMAGE.
And it is that IMAGE that people “fell in love with” and it never existed.
This is important because if people don’t understand this, recognise they were “conned” and understand HOW they were manipulated, they will keep falling for it, every time.
However, once you understand your own vulnerability to being manipulated, accept you need to CHANGE how you view things, THEN you won’t need someone else (like Sundance) to point it out to you, again.

We were not impressed. Another time I had former Rep Dave Brat come and got a call about Bongino introducing him was told there was a problem because of DeSantis! I voted for Hogan for Governor both times. He was far and away better than the democrat candidates, however he is an establishment guy from the bottom up. He was able to fend off much of the super-majority House and Senate democrat idiocy but still, for all that, I can’t think of him as any sort of national candidate. I recall his predecessor Martin O’Malley (bought and paid for by his father-in-law speaker of the House) ran for president in 2016 against Hillary and during an open house-meet-the-candidate shindig in Iowa, only one person entered his tent and he just wanted to argue about something he did as governor. I suspect it would be the same with Hogan.
I’m ashamed to admit I volunteered for Hogan’s first campaign. He should be in prison for the way he enriched his wife’s family buying a plane load of fake PPE from Korea.

The fact of the matter is that with Montgomery County, Prince Georges County, and Baltimore, the state of Maryland is irrevocably blue, despite the rest of the state being not only normal and a beautiful place to be.
No Republican who is MAGA or even conservative could ever get elected here.
Hogan is an establishment GOPe politician, and would be inoffensive to MAGA Republicans if he had not taken every opportunity to trash DJT that he could find.
He thought that the model of a moderate Republican winning election in a blue state would somehow make him palatable or attractive to the national electorate (like Mitt Romney). The fact is that he was a middle of the roader in the worst way, as Limbaugh liked to point out. He was in the middle of the road on every issue. Never a conservative impulse in his activities.

Hogan just dismisses Trump, like it is a given that he can’t win, despite Trump’s huge MAGA base. Is he blind?
To that list I would add that we stopped worrying about Islamofascist terrorists during DJT’s term in office. He killed a terrorist leader or two, and had a couple of dust-ups with Putin’s little green men in Syria, but did not get us entangled in more Middle East wars.
He even negotiated a deadline to leave Afghanistan in May of 2021, which was sandbagged by the Pentagon brass, delayed by Joe Biden (likely in part due to the Pentagon brass), and botched by Joe Biden (perhaps in part due to the State Department wanting to leave from the indefensible capital instead of the military base in Bagram).
I will point out that Hogan’s Maryland is not representative of Main Street, USA. It is highly dependent on the Federal government’s burgeoning bureaucracy and high technology/Pharma enterprises that are highly regulated. He doesn’t care about Main Street concerns.
It’s time to actually identify the candidates, and their motive, running against DJT to become the GOP nominee for POTUS. They are in reality nothing more than RINO grifters whose goal is NOT TO uphold the Constitution and serve this country or her citizens BUT TO secure a place at the uni-party and globalist money laundering feeding trough as a reward for preventing DJT (aka Mr. MAGA) from becoming the nominee.
