~ The Background is HERE ~
A brief post just to emphasize a point about DC and how the power centers protect themselves. You might remember when Attorney Jeff Sessions was told he needed to recuse himself from anything to do with the Trump-Russia investigation. We know from FOIA requests of schedules, the participants in the meeting on the date of those discussions:
Jeff Sessions was forced to recuse himself at the conclusion of a meeting involving Jody Hunt, Dana Boente, Jim Crowell, Tashina Guahar and Scott Schools; an apparent conflict of interest. Now consider….
Mary McCord was Acting Asst. Attorney General for the National Security Division, when she submitted the fraudulently constructed FISA application used against Carter Page. Mary McCord, knowingly and with specific intent, defrauded the court and broke the law. Mary McCord then went on to join Adam Schiff and Jerry Nadler in the construction of the articles of impeachment. She did not recuse herself.
At the time the Carter Page application was filed (October 21, 2016), Mary McCord’s chief legal counsel inside the office was a DOJ-NSD lawyer named Michael Atkinson. In his role as the legal counsel for the DOJ-NSD, it was Atkinson’s job to review and audit all FISA applications submitted from inside the DOJ. Essentially, Atkinson was the DOJ internal compliance officer in charge of making sure all FISA applications were correctly assembled and documented. McCord and Atkinson knowingly submitted a fraudulent FISA application.
Atkinson then went on to become Intelligence Community Inspector General where he changed the rules for CIA whistleblowers to allow the accusation against President Trump to surface which resulted in an impeachment investigation. When ICIG Michael Atkinson turned over the newly authorized anonymous whistleblower complaint to the joint House Intelligence and Judiciary Committee (Schiff and Nadler chairs), who did Michael Atkinson give the complaint to? Mary McCord.
Consider the conflicts within the Supreme Court. Mary McCord, knowingly and with specific intent, lied to the FISA court to support the FBI targeting of Trump. Mary McCord’s husband, Sheldon L Snook, was running the office of the counselor to Chief Justice John Roberts; the office which would intercept any communication from the FISA court to the Chief Justice if the FISA court had any concerns about the false FBI application. No one from the office, or the Chief Justice counselor recused themselves.
Conflicts of interest only surface to create personnel changes when those changes meet the interests of the DC administrative state. When those conflicts exist but they are useful to the interests of the DC administrative state, they are ignored.
Trust Sessions.Trust Sessions ?
No. Jeff Sessions sold us all out for whatever crumbs McConnell blew his way…
You can pretty much blame Jeff Sessions for the destruction of America.
He’s worse than Benedict Arnold because Arnold didn’t get away with it.
No. Sessions was THE FIRE WALL
never.
The one issue never discussed when it comes to “recusal” is the fact that no matter if its AG Jeff Sessions, AG Whittacker, AG Bag Pipes Barr … anybody one wants to name … even DAG Rotten Rod Rosenstein …
Recusal does NOT REMOVE Oversight Responsibilities from any of the people named above. They all had a responsibility to ensure: the legality of activities, protect the rights of people targeted, due process and that proper procedures were followed. None of the responsibilities I mention even touch “participation” in the investigation.
In fact Billie Bag Pipes Barr was actually using that responsibility when he finally closed down the Mueller-Weiseman Special counsel.
This needs to be said as welll to indicate the scope of the corruption involved.
Bag pipes Barr was actually the “guilty one” in all of this mess. Sessions was a big contributor to it all, but Barr can’t quite decide who’s side he wants to play on. Sometimes he sounds republican and sometimes like a dimwit dem.
Bagpipe was, is, and always will be committed to, and hold allegiance to, his one true devotion: The Department. He will, without hesitation, sacrifice himself on the alter of his government to preserve his sacred Justice Department. For him there is no party affiliation. There exists only The Department.
Barr was supposed to be paid 7 million bucks for selling out , one source said.
No, what exists for him is what he thinks of as his place among the elites.
But they had many people deceived, at least for a little while, didn’t they?
Lawyers are bigger problems that what they profess to have an ability to solve.
… and then there is precedent.
Jeff Sessions was forced to recuse himself? Forced? No way. Sessions was in McConnell’s hip pocket all along. I saw the big rally, the very FIRST rally for Trump that Sessions hosted in Mobile. I saw Sessions come out and make a big, big deal of donning the MAGA cap. Jeff Sessions schmoozed his way into Trump’s confidence and then stabbed Trump in the back. Sessions dealt the first blow. Jeff Sessions was not forced: he was a tool, a part of the plan to stop Tea Party Trump.
That’s right Maxx
A lot of Trump’s so-called “friends” have turned out to be complete gorillas. It walks like a gorilla, it SMELLS like a gorilla – it’s prolly a gorilla !
It is because President Trump is one of the few who is really working for the people. No matter what they say, most politicians are working for themselves and for what they believe is their place in the elite hierarchy.
I have years of graduate study in mathematics, and still cannot calculated how someone can become a multi-millionaire on a paltry $176K/year salary in just 4 years. However, many in politics apparently can do that.
I saw that too and I thought Sessions looked somewhat overcome or even embarrassed. I thought it was because the crowd was so big and he was feeling he was finally achieving what I thought he had been working for.
Now I think he just looked embarrassed because by the size of the crowd he finally got it that President Trump was no ordinary politician and Sessions knew he was not one of us.
don’t forget Mike Pense conniving to get General Flynn fired

“Excuse me, but my wife thinks your terrific.”
Mary McCord is doing FISA’s (Carter Page) and her husband is advising the court ( Chief Roberts) to sign of on them.
fantastic
“McCord and Atkinson knowingly submitted a fraudulent FISA application.” Sundance thinking… “please sue me, please, please” Discovery. Truth. Sunlight.
sessions wasn’t forced to do anything. sessions chose to recuse himself, either because of cowardice or blackmail. sessions could have chosen to take no action on any recusal demand. sessions could have chosen to fire every attendee at the march 2, 2017 recusal meeting that happened in his own bloody conference room. sessions needs to shrivel up and blow away.
Is the RNC still in existence? If that organization really existed, could it take legal action against those that slandered President Trump, and appeared to attempt sedition? Is there a real GOP Party where members care about the American citizen? Is there an opportunity for PAC or State AGs to file lawsuits against the real perpetrators of attempted sedition?
Why haven’t we seen the Epstein Visitor Logs?
Why aren’t the 40,000 hours of J6 videos available?
Why is Congress accepting the stalling by the gubermint agencies?
Fire ‘everyone’ in the DOJ, thus they have no ‘ongoing’ investigation.
Me likey.
No doubt these deep-state authoritarians could force all but the most principled person to do most anything. They have unlimited power that is accountable to no group or court. The law doesn’t apply to them, only you and I. They know it and everyone else in Washington knows it. The people of this country now know it too, if they didn’t before.
That being said, me thinks Jeff Sessions was just another in a very long line of purposely placed moles whose main job was to keep tabs on Trump.
Donald Trump made a ton of bad personnel decisions as President, but he didn’t have much to choose from. Nearly all of the “qualified” candidates are mainly qualified because of their working knowledge in the ways of DC. Finding people knowledgeable and separate is pretty darn difficult.
With the exception of Trump’s economic team,Navarro,Lighthieser and Ross he could of chosen any person that attended anyone of his rallies and they would have performed better than any of the losers he decided to go with,in any government position, why he didn’t I don’t know………and yet he still exceeded my expectations and got shit done and didn’t get assassinated.
Anyone Trump nominated for any cabinet position first had to be be approved by the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence. The SSCI is the most corrupt committee in congress. Please keep the nomination process in mind anytime you think “why did Trump nominate these weasels?”
The Laws of the Land are just piss in the gutter without the Will to investigate, charge, try and convict. It then takes courage and strength to fully carry out the sentence of punishment. Liberals fight that courage and strength. The generations we will never hold depend on our strength at this moment in time.
So transparently corrupt.
So politically corrupt.
So morally corrupt.
So time to disband the agency.
I wish.
Sessions was a lousy Senator and a traitorous AG. While he is living the high life on his government pension, our country is falling apart. I hope generations stop to piss on his grave when he dies and finally reaps his real reward in Hell. And it can”t start soon enough!
Liars, Leakers, Liberals and Lunatics. The Democrats hold the positions of the first three while the American people, who sit idly by and continue doing nothing, hold the last position while watching the United States of America become the United Socialist States of American Azzhats.
Recusals are for Republicans.
Joe Biden: “We have put together, I think, the most extensive and inclusive voter fraud organization in the history of American politics.”
Thank you! This quote should be Everywhere!
Sessions didn’t have to recuse himself. He recused himself because they threatened to pull out Roy Moore-esque good ol’ boy chasing underage skirt material on him – true or not – if he didn’t.
Me thinks Democrats and Rinos like to play Calvin ball when it comes to the laws of the land.
I read today that the FBI said ( in their super double secret meeting with Comer et al) that they were concerned that if the identity of their “informant”, who is giving them information on the BIDEN Family were to become known that he would be killed. KILLED!
The FBI is AFRAID that the Bidens’ will MURDER the guy.
That should make for some news, wouldn’t you think?
Fun times.
https://www.zerohedge.com/political/fbi-afraid-biden-whistleblower-will-get-whacked-if-unmasked
So who died and gave Atkinson the unilateral power to reverse the longstanding requirement of first hand knowledge/evidene to qualify for whistleblower status? There has to be an whole process in place to make the changes he did, and the absolute betrayal of everyone/anyone to challenge the changes surely bears witness to their silent treachery.
Scoundrels… when the fools realized that Ciaramello/Vindman’s complaint still didn’t meet the burden of whistleblower status they had to go back AGAIN…. and backdate the changes 3 or 4 weeks to the time that their bogus complaint was originally filed. They all need to be held accountable, every last one of them, and just let God sort ’em out.
I may not absolve Sessions of any possible transgressions on the subject. I admit that I don’t know enough about the entire fiasco, but I will say this, our side, being the moral side, will always recuse himself/herself when there is a possible conflict of interest and their side will never recuse himself/herself.
