At first, I thought this story was fake. Then I thought it was likely just a misinterpretation of events. However, I was curious enough to just go look for myself, because there are quite a few people noticing it now. Indeed, the initial reports were not wrong.
The background story of how Senator John Fetterman’s wife reacted to the news of her husband’s hospitalization for clinical depression is just weird.
Apparently, Pennsylvania Senator John Fetterman’s family did not go to Washington DC with him. {h/t Gateway Pundit} Considering Mr. Fetterman was recovering from a stroke, the worst possible scenario would be stress and unfamiliar surroundings. The resulting hospitalization for clinical depression then takes on new context.
I take the approach never to judge personal life, because you just don’t ever know what is going on deeply inside the lives of others. However, things are really odd about the way Gisele Fetterman responded to the news of her husband’s hospitalization. She grabbed the passports, packed up the kids and headed to Canada. Huh?
Even more weird, Mrs. Fetterman outlines her reaction on her own social media accounts [SOURCE].

Because always “having passports ready just in case you need to run away” when your husband is hospitalized, is something everyone can just relate to… or something.
This is odd. Like, “hey mom, CNN just said dad’s in the hospital… can we go ziplining” level odd.
I’m trying to be gracious and sensitive with this story… but, considering this is a U.S. Senator who ultimately has impact on the way votes take place that influence the lives of every single American… I mean, against that backdrop… What the heck?

My Mom had a brain stem hemorrhage stroke that somehow she survived and lived ten more years until she was 93. Myself and the people I hired took care of my Mom at home for ten years because no facility in PA that was close to home could handle her multiple conditions.

One usually isn’t checked-in to a hospital for mere depression (that’s merely an appointment with a shrink and medication presscribed) unless they are physically ailing (another stroke or complication of one?) or mentally unstable and a danger to themselves and/or others (i.e., at minimum suicidal, and at worse something from which to run away and protect your family IYKWIMAITYD).

Well a little bit of insight as to where these two came from. In 1969 as a high school student I had a summer job that required me to travel to Braddock PA early in the morning for work. It was shall we say shaky then and you had to be street wary. Braddock declined rapidly over the years having lost the steel mill, hospital, the soda company of my summer job etc etc. Mr. Fetterman was the mayor of what I would call a dead and dangerous little town. Then he was elected as lieutenant governor with then Democrat Governor Wolf. No clue as to how that could be other than to give you some insight as to PA politics. Whomever wins the Democrat primary for mayor of Pittsburgh, automatically becomes mayor as there is not enough registered republicans in Allegheny county to possibly win. Ratio was back then 4:1 now maybe 3:1 Democrat vs Republican. You add in Philadelphia and Erie registrations and the balance of the state is red. I left the state in 2021 and having lived most of my adult life there I had to go. When he was elected to the U.S. Senate I thought he would never survive 6 years and would be replaced by whomever the Democrat Governor wanted. Just another example of what a mess PA is and to what lengths the Democrat party will go to get another vote in the Senate…..
