The weird just continues to get more and more weird. According to Fox News, the “object” targeted over Lake Huron was engaged by an F-16, firing a “sidewinder missile to attack the target.” However, the first missile missed the target and the military have no idea where it landed. Yikes.

The Air Force F-16 jet was using Sidewinder missiles to attack the target. “The first Sidewinder heat-seeking missile missed the target,” one official said.
It wasn’t clear where the missile that missed ultimately landed. The second missile took down the target. Each of the missiles costs more than $400,000.
None of the debris from the object has been found in the lake, Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin said Monday. The Defense Department, or DOD, said President Biden, just before 2:42 p.m., directed an F-16 to fire an AIM-9x missile to shoot down an airborne object flying at nearly 20,000 feet over Lake Huron. Why would there be a GPS unit installed in a missile that is heat-seeking and going to explode anyways? A waste of space, weight, and purpose. Have we ever recovered any air-to-air missile that missed a target? They don’t land on the ground or water in a gentle fashion and stay intact: they explode upon impact at high velocity.

Many who are posting here seem very knowledgeable… so would not the “object/target” scampering through the sky at 20,000 ft. have been visible to the fighter pilots? Or, would they not at least have “it” on video BEFORE they shot it down?? Why continue to lie about it to the American people, since they just spent more than a million dollars of OUR taxpayer money to supposedly shoot it out of the sky?

Shooting an expensive missile at a balloon? A half-second burst from the 20 mm gatling gun on the F-16 would have been more than sufficient.
Not only that, it would have deflated slowly and dropped to the ground slow enough a chopper could follow it right down for pick up.
