According to the Associated Press, Joe Biden is planning to shoot down the Chinese ‘surveillance’ balloon possibly later today when it reaches the eastern shore of the Atlantic Ocean.
The mumbling mumbler who mumbles said, “We’re going to take care of it”, when asked about the ongoing issue earlier today. WATCH:
(Via Associated Press) – WASHINGTON (AP) — The Biden administration is considering a plan to shoot down a large Chinese balloon suspected of conducting surveillance on the U.S. military, by bringing it down once it is above the Atlantic Ocean where the remnants could potentially be recovered, according to four U.S. officials.
Two of the officials, who spoke on the condition of anonymity to discuss the sensitive operation, said President Joe Biden had given the go-ahead. In a brief remark Saturday in response to a reporter’s question about the balloon, Biden said: “We’re going to take care of it.”
The balloon was spotted Saturday morning over the Carolinas as it approached the Atlantic coast. In preparation for the operation, the Federal Aviation Administration temporarily closed airspace over the Carolina coastline, including the airports in Charleston and Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, and Wilmington, North Carolina, until at least 2:45 p.m. EST Saturday. The FAA was rerouting air traffic from the area and warned of delays as a result of the flight restrictions.
Officials were aiming to time the operation so they could recover as much of the debris as possible before it sinks into the ocean. The Pentagon had previously estimated that the balloon, flying at about 60,000 feet in the air, was about the size of three school buses and that any debris field would be substantial. (read more)

These things have also been seen over Venezuela and Cyprus. Is there any proof that they are following a planned course, or are they just floating randomly? This seems like the US state department getting Americans riled up and ready to go to war with China.

In the case of the “Chinese spy balloon” that floated in record time from Montana to the South Carolina coast, more questions than answers!
Over the last week- we heard the balloon was too big to shoot down- safety issue for the little people.
Next- we’ll hear the balloon is too deep to recover it all- just some rubber pieces.

I was watching from my front porch in Oak Island NC when they shot it down. It was very high and about west by southwest of me. It looked to be over towards Myrtle but falling off toward the NC south facing beaches. There were jets circling and one of them peeled off and headed up and and fired what was obviously a missle. There was no explosion and the missile looked like it fell into the ocean. I knew it was hit when it no longer looked like a ping-pong ball, but a jagged sheet of paper.
When you just need to pop a balloon and let the evidence descend to earth, instead you fire a highly explosive missile at it over the ocean. Not destroying evidence is problematic to these folks.
I always thought that when you are spying, you are meant to keep yourself hidden in some way, not float about in a huge balloon that’s visible to the naked eye.

Apparently Chu Hoi Milley was given the green light by his Red Chinese counterpart. Bet the American people will end up paying for that ballon too.

Up, it was shot down, right after it completed its mission and transmitted everything the Chinese were interested in. The balloon was able to direct where it was going. The Biden Regime had to also have allowed it to happen, which is why it took so long to shoot it down. There are plenty of safe areas to have shot it down while it was still over the land, but this traitorous government only made excuses till the Chinese said it was ok to shoot it down.
This should have been “taken care of” when it was 200 miles away over the Pacific Ocean.

I don’t get all the uproar. The Pentagon flys balloons and drones across the US–see Monleywerx on YouTube or buy the fantastic Spyglass software that displays / identifies / tracks any all types of aircraft all over the globe–and presently has balloons and drones flying over Germany, etc.
Nothing new. US spying on us and other countries, other countries spying on us. Frankly, I’m more concerned about the former.
