The timing here is genuinely ridiculous. It’s as if the federal government, specifically the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, led by… Richard Trumka Jr (yes, that guy’s son)… doesn’t think or care that we can see the real issue is to change energy uses.
Now that Russia has been isolated from natural gas sales, the European Union needs the supply of all other natural gas markets in order to keep itself from freezing to death. Simultaneously, natural gas as an energy resource is now bad, terrible like oil and coal, amid the climate change cult.
So, they need to change the narrative and stop people from using natural gas appliances.
Suddenly, after generations of natural gas appliances existing in almost half of the kitchens, suddenly the appliances are toxic, dangerous and likely to require a ban against use.
(Bloomberg) – A federal agency says a ban on gas stoves is on the table amid rising concern about harmful indoor air pollutants emitted by the appliances.
The US Consumer Product Safety Commission plans to take action to address the pollution, which can cause health and respiratory problems. “This is a hidden hazard,” Richard Trumka Jr., an agency commissioner, said in an interview. “Any option is on the table. Products that can’t be made safe can be banned.”
Natural gas stoves, which are used in about 40% of homes in the US, emit air pollutants such as nitrogen dioxide, carbon monoxide and fine particulate matter at levels the EPA and World Health Organization have said are unsafe and linked to respiratory illness, cardiovascular problems, cancer, and other health conditions, according to reports by groups such as the Institute for Policy Integrity and the American Chemical Society. Consumer Reports, in October, urged consumers planning to buy a new range to consider going electric after tests conducted by the group found high levels of nitrogen oxide gases from gas stoves.
New peer-reviewed research published last month in the International Journal of Environmental Research and Public Health found that more than 12% of current childhood asthma cases in the US can be attributed to gas stove use. (read more)
Its peer reviewed they say. Carved in stone tablets it must be… Just like the vaccine and other health papers and studies… Swear.
Comrade citizens, you must gather twigs, carry flint rocks, eat bugs and sustainable algae cakes, and adapt your parasitic lifestyle to become the best citizen that planet earth deserves. There can be no gas appliances in your tiny house.
All good comrade citizens who care about their carbon footprint are removing gas stoves and returning to heating water atop open fires in order to comply with the permitted bathing requirement each month, while staying safely your water distribution allotment.
.
.

Note that the ban falls on new construction.
In a currently ailing industry…
No doubt.
I was gonna investigate production process/supply chain for electric stoves but then thought “I just don’t give a **** anymore. Let those who are perfecting their skills for sabotaging electric grid infrastructure provide new inputs for the risk calculus.”
The TPTB are trying to run the economy at a very granular level. It is bound to cause more problems/inefficiencies than it solves.
Intent is not to solve anything — intent is to destroy, and they are doing a freakin’ fine job!
Cant boil water when they shut off your electricity if you only have an electric stove. Plus, they can sell the LNG to Europe at huge prices—your spaghetti is nonessential.
“Power concedes nothing without a demand. It never did and it never will. Find out just what any people will quietly submit to and you have the exact measure of the injustice and wrong which will be imposed on them, and these will continue till they have been resisted with either words or blows, or with both. The limits of tyrants are prescribed by the endurance of those whom they suppress.”

Or you could move to OK where there are still some committed and level-headed legislators:
Immediate Release: Jan. 9, 2023
Sen. Dahm files legislation to strengthen energy sector and promote energy independenceOKLAHOMA CITY – Sen. Nathan Dahm, R-Broken Arrow, has filed legislation to strengthen the energy sector and promote energy independence.
“On this day in 1862, the first petroleum shipment from the U.S. to Europe arrived in England,” Dahm said. “Unfortunately, the radical left has so crippled our country with their ridiculous climate policies, that we are no longer exporting oil but are forced to import it. Their demonization of oil, natural gas, and nuclear has left our country dependent on others. These bills attempt to keep Oklahoma’s energy industry strong and independent.”
Senate Bill 202 would create a protection for internal combustion engines and SB204 would require companies receiving bailouts from the winter storm to implement certain grid-hardening measures.
“The state of California banned the production of internal combustion engines after the year 2035 in an effort to force a switch to electric cars or ‘cleaner’ transportation options,” Dahm said. “A week later, fully unaware of the irony, they asked citizens to refrain from charging their electric cars to lessen the strain on the grid. SB202 and SB204 are an effort to keep our state as dissimilar to California as possible and avoid their rolling blackouts.”
SB 206 would approve the construction of a micro-nuclear plant in the state of Oklahoma.
“Nuclear energy is safe, effective, and clean,” Dahm said. “We should be pursuing diverse but effective energy options in our state, not subsidizing ineffective energy like wind and solar.”
SB205 would create a state petroleum reserve, and SB210 would incentivize the creation of new oil refineries.
“Rather than running our state into the ground and relying on other states for assistance, these bills will help prepare our state for economic downturns and also be as energy independent as possible.”
-END-
Instead of tossing a long-proven very reliable technology with a widespread infrastructure footprint, let’s look at the residential building codes that have all but eliminated fresh air intake in the name of energy efficiency. That fresh air, a near complete absence in modern homes, would help both the asthma and the combustion exhaust.
Never mind the entire GFY aspect the government needs to be told for butting in yet again…
There you go again with your common sense and all….
At some point in the near future, we need to tell these animals to go frag themselves.
It’s Tremendously overdue, already.
I would personally, rather see some sort of controls on those annoyingly dangerous, eye piercing blindness inducing LED automobile headlight….
Once a week, I travel thru a liberal, heavy union, tree hugging, community where they all seem to have those headlights…and many of those people do have them on high beam mode…which scares me when I can’t see….its like they are clueless to the brightness they emit and don’t care about oncomoing traffic
Some of them are so bright, its hard to tell if they are on ‘high beam mode’ or not…to me, and again, maybe its just me being old and picky…but feel they are way to intense.
It would seem there are better uses for being “green”….
Aggiegirl: I, too, find some LED headlights to be piercingly bright.
You guys!!!!!! THANK YOU for mentioning the headlights!!!!! I find them disturbingly eye piercing and blinding. I also thought it was just me becoming a crabby old lady!
They are awful! I wonder how many accidents are caused by them?
Even more, a recent study just found LED and computer screen lights may inhibit the produccion of neurotransmisors like serotonine and dopamine. No wonder so many kids are seriously depressed.
the tail lights can be just as bad
Aggiegirl, It is not you: “maybe its just me being old and picky…but feel they are way to intense.” They are dangerous and usually owner installed by dumbasses that have no clue how to adjust them properly.
THEY REMOVED the regulations in Texas of Having to test to see where the High and Low Beams hit, in the inspections. I see few lamps since them that are AIMED where they need to be, Closer to the surface of the PAVEMENT rather than into the Windshields of the oncoming Traffic. This is especially sensitive depending on the LOADS the vehicles are carrying.
And too many Drivers these days don’t even know what you are talking about.
Communists have no shame, there they are again (like a dog chasing its tail) in the middle of all the problems they’ve created.
They have gotten better at reeking havoc though, look how fast they did this !
… and radiant heat.
Talk about clean air.
And traveling when it’s almost impossible to find a hotel room when one can open a window, even if just a little, how awful.
You are correct. As homes become “tighter”, i.e., less air infiltration, designers and builders need to consider importing fresh air such as an HRV. I don’t know if codes are requiring these, but at some point they need to be considered.
Natural gas is considered a “clean” energy source. It emits about half that of coal. Much of the U.S. electrical generation is natural gas. It makes no sense to ban its use.
If it makes sense ban it it make it illegal
PURE FACT! AMEN!
A little concerning that we were making our homes tighter (more energy efficient) creating stale air at the same time we were introducing all these new substances into the home ; cleaning products, plastics etc. I’m sure someone was monitoring that.
Interesting that you bring up the topic of residential building codes. My husband has worked for a large east coast builder for nearly 25 yrs., responsible for overseeing the construction of residential communities. I recently mentioned to him the absurd plan to eliminate combustion engine autos and he laughed, explaining that if everyone in the brand new communities he’s managing tried to charge electric vehicles each evening, the power grid for the communities would fail. These are expensive homes fitted with leading tech, and most typically exceed the requirements of the uniform residential building code. S%#@ is going to hit the fan in the foolish states that have vowed to ban gas-powered cars by 2030. Anyone considering a career change to a growing field should consider becoming an electrician lol.
What the heck let’s just go back to wood and cow dung for cooking.
Yes,,, we can give Africa a run for its money to see who can be more third world.
Yes…
We can sprinkle the white ash over layered white clothes and linens, pour boiling water over them, let sit over night and rinse for real bright white clean!
Use the black soot on the underside of pots when cooking to polish black shoes and boots.
-oh, bring back the simple days of strife😳
Sorry. We can’t have cows. Or smoke. Or heat. Or……
Or . . . us.
Or get buried or cremated. Who knew human composting was a thing?
https://www.foxnews.com/us/new-york-becomes-6th-us-state-green-light-human-composting-law
They are pushing for this ban in Australia too. At least here they are honest – they are saying it’s a bad, super-bad fossil fuel that causes global warming. “Oh what is it you’re saying? Big parts of Australia had one of the coldest springs and beginning of summer in many decades? Ah… Climate Change then!”
Good luck trying to sell the restaurant industry on switching to electric. Which, BTW, if gas stoves are supposedly health hazards, then where are the hordes of sick restaurant workers?
Non existent
They are illegal aliens who are undocumented and easily replaced. Next!
Give them all the jab and they will blame their deaths on gas stoves.
My son is a gas tech in FL. He is licensed to install any and all home and commercial gas appliances. Stoves, water heaters, fireplaces, outdoor kitchens etc. He makes a really good living for his family of 6. No gas appliances, no job for him.
I suppose this administration would rather him be at home on unemployment and food stamps. SMH
Well there goes my supper!
The U.S. is selling LNG by the tonne to the EU!
Yes that’s exactly what the illegitimate JoBama regime does.
JoBama wants kill switches in all new cars, so they can combat drunk driving.
We’ve got a whole culture of drunk drivers flowing in through our invisible border every day all day.

Gates, Schwab, and their gang will be happy to know their plan is working.
At the risk of repeating myself: the kinds of tyranny they mean to implement have never before been tried against a heavily armed population. They are trying anyway. They very publicly went “all-in” with the 2020 election theft.
You all must understand they cannot stop now, let alone turn back. For them it is only forward, harder, more repressive.
Were all in this together….
They’ve lived under tyranny. They won’t go back willingly.
What about people who use gas to heat their homes and hot water?
They die.
How bout the restaurants..
Shut ’em down to get those unemployment numbers where they want them to be. Dead people don’t eat at restaurants anyways… or at home.
Yeah and its not like they gonna need restraunts with no farms for food so…
I presume federally run soup kitchens will be exempt from this plan.
Most houses don’t have panels for electric stoves.
I had a 220v jack behind my gas range. I relocated it to the basement to use with an arc welder.
One of my ancient appliances is an electric Kenmore stove from around 2005…these people have got to be stopped! They are beyond ‘nuts’.
Well, not sure about the rest of the country but:
What fuel do CTA buses use?
diesel
We converted our entire bus fleet to ultra-low sulfur diesel in March 2003, well before the US Environmental Protection Agency mandated its use in October 2006.
And later one:
Is natural gas used in buses?
However, some buses are still powered by conventional polluting fuels such as diesel. In response to this problem, many cities around the world have decided to modernize their bus fleets and purchase buses that run on compressed natural gas (CNG).
Or this:
https://www.transitchicago.com/environment/
After all we went through to put gas in this house, it’s criminal to even think like that.
Next will be ranges, dryers, and water heaters.
I have no idea how 8 billion humans have survived and grown the population to this number given the dangers we all face every day. Thank goodness we have another generation of corrupt Trumka’s to keep us safe!!!! 🤮
There’s a law here in SC that State and Federal money cannot be used to encourage or force a change of energy source. It means we won’t get the Omnibus tax credits to install heat pumps under the HOMES program, but if it means I get to keep my 500 gallon propane tank, then I’m happy.
They got rid of the incinerators a long time ago!
When I worked a a grocery store in the 70’s were had one to burn all of our cardboard. During truck unloading nights we cooked frozen pizza and could make canned biscuits on a long handled steel contraption someone had made before us. Some cities had incinerators that produced electricity. A lot better than clogging up land fills
If the trash trucks stop picking up a lot more people will be burning their own garbage again.
I started looking for an old 55 gallon drum last week to do just that. . . when the SHFT.
Mmmm…respiratory illnesses, cardiovascular disease, cancers, other illnesses. Seems to me they’re looking for another excuse to cover for a surge in vaccine injuries and deaths.
They said all these diseases were caused by smoking and second hand smoke. So which is it?
E X T R E M E W E A T H E R
Ahh… I posted nearly same thought after you. Hadn’t seen yours. I think we are correct!
We have rental property, the tenants have been using a gas furnace for years, the furnace works the vent works carbon monoxide detectors up, but the city inspector will shut it down if it’s doesn’t have a tag on it …. We call a furnace place for them to come check it and they ask does it work , reply yes, but city wants a tag on it, they were dumbfounded they are dealing with customers with no heat but city wants a tag on it or they will turn the tenants heat off …
What kind of tag?
Why are they pushing this new crap? According to them, we are all going to be dead from climate change in 10 years!
Correct, unless C19 or their sudden death shots get us first.
.
Anti-freedom. They can turn off your electricity but not your gas stove (ifyou have has in the tank.)
My gas stove was a blessing for 3.5 weeks post-hurricane with no electricity in 2005.
Induction stove? Expensive. And also you will have to replace all your pots and pans that are not magnetic. Forget glass, ceramic, aluminum…
Forget being able to use an oversize pot or pan, or just moving something large to a low burner to keep it warm. Meanwhile, your broiling and baking has to be done with… electricity.
This is infuriating!
Here’s the opinion of someone who is somewhat amenable:
.
By the way… Didn’t B.O. recently install gigantic gas tanks on his Martha’s Vineyard estate?
.
yes
https://www.washingtonexaminer.com/news/gas-prices-obama-propane-tanks
Seattle city council voted unanimously to ban natural gas in some new construction. February 2021
Sounds about right.
.
It’s about control. They can’t turn off your gas stove. They can turn off your electricity.
.
Right, but when the government mandates such measures to approximately 150 million people, then that takes on a whole new meaning.
How do you think those millions of people are going to react? They get up one morning and all gas appliances are shut down.
Imagine the chaos.
I’m sure there will be notifications, there will be alternatives, there will be incentives here, there and everywhere but just how many of those millions are really going to go along quietly with those tyrannical maneuvers.
This is tyranny.
Americans really need to understand the amount of pain the government is talking about pushing on every household.
The plan has been (since the 1990’s) to really imprison us in our homes and control us.
That’s not reality; at least for this family.
Richard Trumka. Now where have I heard that vile name before…?
Hmmm…
I wonder how the Nat. Gas Energy companies (suppliers) like this idea?
I bet it is NOT in their portfolio of how to please their Investors…
Dayum, I am so tired of such stupidity in the “Progressive” ideology.
I think it is because most of them never had to work a “real” job (or, run a “real” business), nor own a “home” that needs to be maintained, be heated, or cook a meal, or for that matter, anything else that is Productive to themselves or society as a whole.
Likely did not serve their country in any manner that would have put their lives on the line, or at least made them understand some “sacrifice for others” as either a “duty”( as in military service) , or a commitment to helping society (anywhere in the world) as a way to do good for others.
I am not mentioning just young folks, but even older folks who just don’t “GET IT~!”.
Getting pretty tired of these Pieces of crap who don’t contribute much other than their own wild ideas of how OTHERS should do things…
Most often, “HYPOCRITES”.
I am talking about the , “Do as I SAY, Not as I Do.”, crowd.
Yep… Pretty tired of this crap.
Can’t say more than that on the internet… Might hurt some “feelings”…
Pretty tired of the BS…. And Rightfully So as far as I am concerned.
I will NOT COMPLY.
“Molon Labe”, in a different perspective/meaning.
Do as ya like in your own way & how ya think fit.
Do what ya think is right for you & yours.
I/we will do the same.
Make good choices/decisions.
😉
“From my cold, dead, oven mitts!!”
Uhhh….nope, Comrade Sundance: you forget that “THEY” also want to ban burning wood.
So we also won’t be allowed to make fires to heat water and cook with, much less warm our mud huts during the Winter.
I guess once the riots begin and we burn down all the government buildings and elites’ mansions we can participate in communal cooking, water boiling, and hot showers. Please bring you own bar of soap.
I grew up with gas stoves & ovens. My asthma was caused by everybody in my house smoking cigarettes all the time. I have a gas stove now. No one smokes. I don’t have asthma.
I probably would get asthma back cooking over a wood flame since we’ll have to give up cooking with electric during power outages or to charge your car. These people are just ******* nuts.
They can have my newly installed gas cooktop when they can pry it from my cold dead fingers…
The fine control over the heat is something I missed when stuck with electric for a few decades.
Well then.. it’s a good thing I don’t listen to authority. Come and take it.
They won’t quit, will they?
We just want ‘to be left alone’…..
There will come a point when we the people have to just say NO.
Just following Commiefornia’s lead.
https://www.usatoday.com/story/money/energy/2022/09/24/california-bans-natural-gas-furnaces-heaters-2030/8103912001/
the EPA and World Health Organization are unsafe.
Let’s ban them!
“Let this narrative sink in.”
When in truth and is very factual that, “Natural gas energy is the upmost responsible usage of fossil fuel.”
So just let this factual come into its own.
Specifically when the salt deposits of the Northeastern and the upper mid West of North America.
Have most definitely been mined to provide storage domes for huge quantities of LNG to the tune, “That private citizen mineral property rights are paid a, “Retention storage premium for the fact that massive amounts of liquidified natura gas is being stored in multiple salt domes under their property.
Watkins Glens, NY is the epicenter of these storage domes capacity.
This is nearly a forty year
endeavor of developing natural gas storage capacity to meet global market place natural gas demands on a contractional basis of delivery.
So just WTF does it costs for MSM column inches to provide a corporate marketplace physiology
My post/inquiry was most definitely shadow band and/or clipped of the full scope of the above mentioned/cites inquiry.
As citied, very certain and very specific details where the exercised form the above blog post!!!!!
Outstanding meme~!
Thanks for sharing it here~!
Gonna share it on to others, TY.
🙂
Looks like Bill Gates is dead and buried.
Haha~! Yes, it does.
How will all that Italian food Trumka eats with the “Family” or Chris Christie consume at the old John Gotti social club be prepared ?
There are always carve outs for the elites.
Remember the “All electric Gold Medallion Home”. Promoted in the last century to line the pocket of the electric industry.
In Feb. 2021, Texas was hit with an arctic blast, and people died when the electricity died for days and then many who had electric heat and had signed up for electricity discount programs where hit with electric bills in the tens of thousands of dollars.
So when they tell you that you can’t use natural gas anymore, you tell them to shove it.
283 comments……and not one person has pointed out that Richard Trumka Jr (yes, that guy’s son) is a Lawyer, just like his Dad…..Does that matter??? You bet it does…..Almost half of Congress are Lawyers……So, your telling me that a profession that is 1-2% of the U.S population represents 50% of Congress and is also the President/VP??….That’s exactly what I’m telling you……See the problem??….
I can’t believe people can’t see the Cancer…..It’s bizarre……That’s why I’ll never vote for a Lawyer for Public Office…..Not that voting matters…
.
Well yeah okay (cringe) lawyers. But now please check to see how many majored in poly sci or “international relations” never worked to speak of doing anything productive as lawyers — or just attended Yale, Harvard, or Georgetown. Something definitely is awry.
.
We’ll be forced to have big families again so more dung is produced and stored, to keep us warm in the cold months.
Yeap. Make your own Compost Heating System.
https://www.instructables.com/Compost-Heating-System/
So burn natural gas to power electical generators that power the stoves. How incredibly inefficient.
What law grants the the CPSC authority to regulate the greenhouse gas emissions of retail consumer products? When was the CPSC given the mission to fight climate change in the first place?
I will not comply, nor give any credence to anything these money grubbing politicians and their minions dictate. I will do whatever I deem necessary to keep my family fed, warm and safe. My home is my ALAMO and it is filled with volunteers dedicated to protecting freedom and sanity. The United States of America is well along the path to being ruined by these idiots and I am ashamed to have risked my life in “defense” of it in the past. I fear that we have passed the point of no return.
Somewhat parallels the ‘urgent’ move to free-range chicken eggs only. Abortion on demand for unborn human beings up through 9 months, but gotta protect those chickens! (Irony is that free-range often amounts to all the chickens being in a facility on the floor together where there is quite the pecking going on for the pecking order.) These people are as lunatic as they are tyrannical.
Toilet bowls that save water but take 2-3 flushes, banning incandescent light bulbs forcing use of CFL bulbs with mercury in them, banning Freon etc the list of hidden hazards discovered by politicians and bureaucrats is endless! All they do is make life more miserable, complicated and expensive!
I have to use a toilet brush almost every time I take a dump.
retro-grade
Damnedable time for the USSC to have SUCKER-PUNCHED the likes of the Brunson Bros case the Court invited to come get on the Docket, as well as the Bonner Case.
Damnably vicious stunt by the USSC.
WELL, these are the Days of Haman, and of Korah, and of Pharaoh.
These are all Big Boys and they can sure dish it out, for sure.
So we know they will enjoy their Harvests a Great Deal, as well.
