The timing here is genuinely ridiculous. It’s as if the federal government, specifically the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, led by… Richard Trumka Jr (yes, that guy’s son)… doesn’t think or care that we can see the real issue is to change energy uses.
Now that Russia has been isolated from natural gas sales, the European Union needs the supply of all other natural gas markets in order to keep itself from freezing to death. Simultaneously, natural gas as an energy resource is now bad, terrible like oil and coal, amid the climate change cult.
So, they need to change the narrative and stop people from using natural gas appliances.
Suddenly, after generations of natural gas appliances existing in almost half of the kitchens, suddenly the appliances are toxic, dangerous and likely to require a ban against use.
(Bloomberg) – A federal agency says a ban on gas stoves is on the table amid rising concern about harmful indoor air pollutants emitted by the appliances.
The US Consumer Product Safety Commission plans to take action to address the pollution, which can cause health and respiratory problems. “This is a hidden hazard,” Richard Trumka Jr., an agency commissioner, said in an interview. “Any option is on the table. Products that can’t be made safe can be banned.”
Natural gas stoves, which are used in about 40% of homes in the US, emit air pollutants such as nitrogen dioxide, carbon monoxide and fine particulate matter at levels the EPA and World Health Organization have said are unsafe and linked to respiratory illness, cardiovascular problems, cancer, and other health conditions, according to reports by groups such as the Institute for Policy Integrity and the American Chemical Society. Consumer Reports, in October, urged consumers planning to buy a new range to consider going electric after tests conducted by the group found high levels of nitrogen oxide gases from gas stoves.
New peer-reviewed research published last month in the International Journal of Environmental Research and Public Health found that more than 12% of current childhood asthma cases in the US can be attributed to gas stove use. (read more)
Its peer reviewed they say. Carved in stone tablets it must be… Just like the vaccine and other health papers and studies… Swear.
Comrade citizens, you must gather twigs, carry flint rocks, eat bugs and sustainable algae cakes, and adapt your parasitic lifestyle to become the best citizen that planet earth deserves. There can be no gas appliances in your tiny house.
All good comrade citizens who care about their carbon footprint are removing gas stoves and returning to heating water atop open fires in order to comply with the permitted bathing requirement each month, while staying safely your water distribution allotment.
.
.

It’s both.
If you let the government ban something, they’ll end up banning everything.
Let’s ban government.
That was the Founders’ objective: as little as possible.
Government can be harmful to your health . . . emitting dangerous toxins!
Wasn’t it a “Republican” who led the charge to ban the incandescent light bulbs? And they got away with it.
I still have a good supply of incandescent bulbs in all sizes: 15/40/60/100, etc.
My late husband was retired from lifelong work as a diesel mechanic and was enjoying a second career at Home Depot, so when those announcements were being made, he could easily follow the clearance of the incandescents, there was a deadline-date on their sale.
So we bought up a BUNCH (about a hundred) of them. One of the most carefully packed items when we moved from MN to OR in 2011! I still have dozens of them, in each size. My 50s-sons laugh every time they see them–they know that those bulbs will be part of my “estate” if I don’t live another ten years at least!!
I know there have been some improvements in the LEDs over the years, but I still take great pleasure in the warm light that I have throughout my house.
My washer and dryer are located in an outside utility room. (There is nowhere to move them and it would be extremely expensive to build on to the house just to have an inside place to put them.) The water pipes can freeze when the outside temperature is very low.
What has kept the pipes from freezing (so far) is a 100 watt incandescent bulb in the ceiling that I keep burning 24/7 when it is really cold. So, when incandescent bulbs were banned, I went online and bought a case of 100 in hopes that they would last the rest of my life. I’ve also had the garage enclosed which helps somewhat when the temperatures are low. I could run a small heater in that little room, but that runs up the electric bill and the light bulb has been sufficient.
Yep…that’s all you need in a pump house.
LED lights do damage your eyes.
That was Dubya, the compassionate conservative, he also gave us DHS.
The same DHS that’s ran by a Cuban born communist named Mayorkas.
I was called a Bush hater back when he created the phrase “compassionate conservatism”. Too me it just a nice way of saying bigger bloated government created programs that will result in nothing more than money for the connected people.
Yeah, that ticked me off. Conservatism is compassionate — he made it so “some conservatism” is compassionate (aka leftist)!
BUSH…
YOU are the evil – doer
Fred Upton.
“If you let the government ban something, they’ll end up banning everything.”
Except abortion, which is a very lucrative activity for them.
Ah geez, they care about our health now, but have no problem killing babies…
Hot
water gonna be a commodity ?
Shall we all go back to
out houses
and waterless homes too?
While their at it:
-Tents are more easily available than caves

Chamber pots will be back in style.
Just wait until the government’s proposed solution to crippling fertilizer shortages is night soil.
And those irons that go under the bedsheets for warmth..
You’re giving them ideas
You mock–and you should!–but you’re just giving them ideas.
It is so crazy, all of it.
Two plus years ago when the wuflu hit us and President Trump lost his rightful place in the White House we knew things were only going to get worse, and Sundance helped us cement those thoughts.
At that time we started purging stuff we wouldn’t need when SHTF, and started buying and storing stuff we thought we would need.
We also started reconfiguring our 1970s Brady Bunch home into an 1870s farm house. Believing “they” weren’t going to let us have energy we purchased an old wood burning oven/cook stove/water heater combo that would also help heat the place come Minnesota’s minus 30 nights, and that somewhat ugly old thing will go against a wall where a fancy hutch once stood. All we could do with a fancy hutch down the road is burn the wood and place the broken glass around the outside of our house as a deterrent to trespassers, so we were good to lose it.
We are living in crazy world and have been trying to keep a step ahead of the insanity, although I know doing that is impossible. No matter what we do, they have something far more diabolical in store.
Last night a friend told me I’m no longer a prepper, she said I’m a dooms-dayer.
The dooms-dayers!
I’m with you.
Lol on the hutch’s potential future!
Don’t feel bad about being a “dooms-dayer”… I recently labeled myself as having become a “doomer-dreamer,” on relaying yet another vivid dream of a strange catastrophic event to my aunt.
I won’t bother with the details, but these trouble me in having a history of dreams that later proved as premonitions.
How old is your aunt, and what does she think hearing your doomsday dreams?
.
So, basically our CTH collective response is ‘BS.’
Burning BS is what they will reduce many to.
I suspect natural gas is somewhat cleaner.
Do you think Bernie Sanders heats his Vermont home (and all of this other homes) with electricity? I doubt it.
You think Sanders got jabbed OR exercised HIS right to exemption? Fake Pandemic
So when the power grid goes down and people have no gas stoves, only electric, how are they to “survive”? When Sandy hit NY we were without power for 15 days. Having a gas stove was a lifesaver for our family. I could still cook, use stove, boil water, make coffee… Another DUMB idea brought to us by the Federal Gubment
Gas fireplaces have helped us in the past during winter power outages. Takes the edge off the cold in the house.
Charcoal briquets and a handy little Weber grill (I have cooked a tri-tip in there as well as a chicken and of course hot dogs and could heat up water for coffee) plus Mom and I have her old Weber grill from the early 1970’s – nice heavy thing on a stand, also using briquets – plus a neat little chimney thing she got a long time ago that you can use instead of lighter fluid –
what are the people going to do that have those beautiful fancy outside grillls that use a gas hookup or tanks of gas (from the grocery store/hardware store), I guess those will be outlawed as well.
I suppose though someone will see and report our smoke and the aroma of ribeye steaks cooking and then we will be in trouble anyway.
Just don’t cook using those charcoal grills inside your home, please.
( And most other types of grills as well.)
The emissions can KILL ya.
Only use OUTSIDE with a fresh air supply~!
😉
You’re not supposed to survive! That’s their plan. Once you accept that premise, everything they do becomes very clear.
more than 12% of current childhood asthma cases in the US can be attributed to gas stove use.
Well maybe they should open some windows now and then. Or use a vent/hood. Duh.
If it’s a health hazard then require a vent/hood. Most people have them already anyway.
….according to the FDA and CDC? LOL
That’s BS. They should be more concerned about roach feces.
Thought asthma was caused by Cockroch Turds
All building codes require a hood and either filtration or vent to atmosphere. This is
the cult looking for targets and PR. I’d like to see those asthma studies too.
It’s more than likely that childhood vaxxines have contributed to the failing health of America’s people. They won’t do a study of vaxxed people compared to unvaxxed people because you will find that the unaxed have way better health outcomes. Remember all health problems will be blamed on anything but vaxxines people received as children. But studies have been done and these unvaxxed people’s health is far superior than the vaxxed. But can’t have that truth floating out there big pharma only makes money from sick people. See the Highwire on rumble for more information.
You literally wrote what I was thinking.
And I’m sure that 12% figure is off by 90%!
Just more covid style fearmongering!
Pretty sure this is a cause of heart attacks in teens and top male athletes.
Must be, right?
You read it first here. Natural gas is raccissss.
Yes. Yes. And yes.
Give me a flipping break. These people want to kill us all. There’s no other explanation. There’s no pretense. They are lunatics. But, what makes it worse is that they are evil lunatics.
It’s called Newsomian science. Our idiot governor is already banning gas appliances in CA.
Oh.. so now they care about my health?!
These people as sick; filled with some weird insatiable desire to control everyone else (but themselves); that’s a lot of hate.
Nothing weird about it, satanic.
There is nothing new under the sun.
Eve was deceived with – you shall be as God.
Jesus was tempted with all the kingdoms of the earth.
It’s not really difficult to figure out if you are Christian.

“The purpose of this free, online, and interactive workshop is for participants to learn how to effectively advocate for climate change action on the federal level. The workshop includes modules covering an overview of climate change science, some of its impacts on society and the environment, as well as mitigation, adaptation, and resiliency strategies. It also explores how the U.S. government is involved with climate change action. Importantly, participants will learn about different ways to communicate about climate change with various audiences, from those who are champions of climate change action to those who are less receptive to climate change, while always moving toward a shared common goal. This program aligns with ACS’ ongoing engagement with policymakers on Capitol Hill in support of science, engineering, innovation, and chemical stewardship.”

Therefore, lest you die of any unpleasant-to-us causes such as respiratory illness, cardiovascular problems, cancer, or any of the final causes of death for 95% of the human life on earth, we’d like to introduce to you two novel causes of suicide: “starvation,” and “freezing to death.”
Most especially, we are “morbidly curious” as to exactly how long you will allow us to actually “provoke you to suicide,” before it might actually occur to you to fight back. As we sit here, warm and snug in our currency-besotted quarters, we are actually curious …
and in Canada they are actually promoting suicide…openly advertising how you can escape this miserable life they’ve created for you…
Over my cold dead body.
speaking of gas…..if arizonia accepts this pos as governor (which seems likely) that state is ‘quickly’ going to become kalifornia lite and that spells big time trouble for our southern border.
if it’s possible az is even more corrupt than illinois and new york.
AZ has a lot of retired union types from IL…..
Just because they have nefarious reasons for saying gas stoves are toxic doesn’t mean they aren’t toxic…
Gas stoves are only toxic if the pilot light goes out and stoves made in the last 60 years have safeguards that prevent that.
Natural gas burns pretty damn clean.
Not as clean as propane, but you’re right, as fossil fuels go.
We have a ventless gas log. It is over 99% efficient. All 40,000 BTU stays in the house. My wife presses a button, and the entire downstairs is warm in under ten minutes. It even looks nice. We have CO detectors all over the house. The recorded levels have never risen above what’s outside. We’ve had this system for over 20 years. No one has ever suffered for it.
Well designed and maintained gas equipment is safe, and efficient.
I’m sure gas stoves aren’t toxic and are perfectly safe. None of these people are honest or have any integrity!
I’m guessing, but I could be wrong, that the “they” at the end of your sentence is the evil cabal.
If that’s what you meant, I totally agree that they are very toxic.
There’s a negligible amount of risk in absolutely everything.
no heat, no cooking, just raw bugs…. for the prisoners
Duke energy is clearing the evidence and telling the public everthing but the truth about blackouts.
Its because they have shutdown coal and gas plants that in the past were able to supply peak power needs.
Now 50% of their reserve power comes from solar and wind which is not able to do the job of power generation at peak demand times.
A guy in anderson sc froze to death as have others all in the name of the farce of global warming.
The more natural gas is turned off or not used the nationwide desths will occur for nothing.
Man does not control the weather, God does.

…whom blew up the nordstream gas pipeline (russia to germany) months ago?
People know
What are the domino affect(s)?
So, Biden and the Democrats blew up the Nordstream Natural Gas Pipelines and in the next breath tell us that natural gas stoves are unsafe? This is a joke?
Well if I have to give up my gas stove are they gonna pay for me to
get an electric one cuz if not then not happening..I want a free
stove…
My gas stove is only 2 years old. I considered electric when I was shopping. That’s what I grew up with, but I was told I’d have to pay someone to put in a special electric line or something.
I really like my new stove. My last one lasted 25 years – actually longer because it was still working when I upgraded. I’m 70 and I plan to have this stove for 25 years too.
Several years ago, the GAO ran an audit of the Energy Star designation. They submitted applications for bogus products to see how the people involved would respond.
My favorite of the Energy Star awardees was a gas powered alarm clock.
https://gizmodo.com/a-fake-gas-powered-alarm-clock-once-got-energy-star-cer-1656128986
Some people in these agencies do not need to be on the .gov payroll.
We will not comply.
Exactly…
Will NOT Comply here, either...
Me either. I will not submit.
I live in FL, hurricane prone. Two years ago when renovating my kitchen I quite deliberately put in a propane stove so in the event of lights out, I’d have the ability to cook (and heat, little as I need that).
The “elite” can KMA.
Example number 2,739 that we are not going to be able to vote our way out of insanity.
Most older homes like my daughters have gas appliances. To switch to electric, it would take a complete house rewire and 200 amp box installed. Is Joe going to pay for that?
They’re perfectly happy to raze your house to create a public greenspace & put you on the waitlist for public housing! Oh yea, it’s also on the public transportation route, so you can donate your car to a climate change support group.
the old tax rebate will be offered
Ridiculous? It’s ludicrous.
Most homes throughout the Northeast, and most of the distribution systems down to neighborhood drop downs, are not capable of supplying that much electricity for cooking and heating on a complete conversion to all-electric.
A great way to collapse the grid, and freeze millions.
…not able to supply electricity for so many homes. Well isn’t that the general idea?
Collapsing the grid and causing mass suffering appears to be their plan.
I sincerely hate the people pushing this. There is no other explanation than they want people to die.
I have friends in CA who thankfully have natural gas plumbed into their home. With all the rain and flooding and lack of electricity, that gas has been a life saver. They had the forsight to purchase a generator that can run on natural gas, and they hired an experienced electrician to do all the work a couple of years ago. They never thought they’d need it. It was a “just in case” kind of thing. It has enabled them to keep the refrigerator and freezer food from spoiling, the well water flowing, enabled them to get a hot shower, and hot meal. Otherwise they’d have been living in the dark on and off for weeks.
Smart people!
I tell you what, I agree with Hank Hill in principle. Propane is better than NG. Costs more per gallon, but twice the energy output so it still costs less to use. Plus it’s heavier than air, so also fewer accidents.
HOWEVER, the appliance conversion costs would be huge. I know NG is standard in many states.
I had propane in the 70’s, and while I liked it, a few times we almost ran out because of shortages.
Kind of a regional norm thing I think. Propane is standard here in Northern WA for stove tops, along with electric ovens. There’s no NG up here outside of the big cities. But I remember it well. Natural Gas was the norm for heating, stoves and water heaters in Iowa, where I grew up.
This idea is insanity and the people pushing it are insane.
Perhaps this is the beginning of the final implosion of “the rule of the Karens and the Kevins.”
“Any option is on the table. Products that can’t be made safe can be banned.”
Your kitchen stove cannot be “made safe.” Therefore, you cannot cook.
Your car cannot be “made safe.” Therefore, you cannot drive.
The trucks which deliver the blue hair-paint to you cannot be “made safe,” either!!
Of course, maybe “the real life experience for all of this,” for all of these tender, government-job-soaked “Karens” and “Kevins,” is that: “puberty happens to everyone!” 🤡
It’s the New Coca-Cola!!
This was telegraphed: https://www.cnn.com/2022/01/27/us/natural-gas-stoves-methane-climate/index.html
Maybe somebody will come up with a new invention to take on the challenge of indoor air pollution caused by cookin’ with gas.
We can name it something snappy like vent-a-hood.
Re-reading C.S. Lewis you get a feeling that his speculative, imaginative future is literally unfolding in real time right now.
The roots of these demonic leaders go back very far and deep. And new generations of their spawns are inspired by updated versions of the same apocalyptical visions. And sadly, technology gives them easy tools as weapons.
I would think that all of the gas-fired, electric generating plants are next on their agenda.
Electric powered electric plants must be their goal.
The US Consumer Product Safety Commission’s inital jurisdiction was to regulate children’s toys and infant clothing not major household appliances. This goes way beyond mission creep! Like the Ukraine Conflict and blowing up the Nordstream Pipelines to embargos on Russian oil everything Biden and the Democrats do is in furtherance of the Climate Change Hoax!
So, will the ‘oh so sustainable’, follow the latest fad, cooking community happily switch back to electric stoves and ovens? I see them every now and then in old cooking shows. As far as I can tell, right now they love using gas and hate electric. But their allegiance to fads is absolute.
LOL….But Cigarettes will still be for sale…. and you can still fill your cart with chips, captin crunch and soda (using food stamps to do it)…But natural gas kills
Cigarettes are approaching $20 a pack in some places.
The “tree of liberty” seems to be on a slippery slope to fruition.
The “elites” have considered themselves to be at war with the American public for generations (or since the country’s founding). While they may dullards implementing the nonsensical rules, somewhere up the “establishment” command chain there are intelligent people harboring evil, machiavellian intent.
God I HATE these people. Does that make me a bad person?
No, it makes you a righteous person. But release the hate and lean on God for a clear conscience, if nothing else .
I was going to burn my gas stove in support of this great cause, but I ran out of gas to set it on fire.
I will bet every WEFer and fedgov slug has a gas range for their executive chef. Maobama has natgas tanks that could power his entire neighborhood. The brightside is we will forget about cooking food we cannot afford or find.
maobama put in propane tanks something like 2500 gallons worth.and propane is not considered a greenhouse gas.amazing how he saw the future and prepared.lucky for me i have 1500 gallons of capacity and can run 3 years on em without refills.i can see they will ban the burning of firewood next as that is bad for the climate, guess we will all just have to move to mexico to keep warm.
Are back up generators next? I know I can still use a gas stove when the electricity goes out.
“2022 Gas-powered Generators Ban in California. This bill was passed on October 11, 2021. There were 47 votes in favor and 22 in opposition, so the bill passed with a majority vote. There are several stages of this law that will come into effect at different times.“
Guess EMF ain’t a thing anymore
Richard Trumka, Jr. . . .
hmm, almost like the “Red Aristocracy”
I guess my 1950s wood burning stove just quadrupled in value?
Well.. in commiefornia I’m sure they’ll ban that too!
Can’t light a fire it causes pollution. Can’t have gas because it causes pollution. Can’t have electricity.. wait…
Tell these people to F*** OFF!
