Part of the successful negotiations amid the 21 congressional holdouts to the McCarthy speakership, was a pledge to create a subcommittee styled after the Frank Church committee. The purpose of the subcommittee would be to investigate the intelligence apparatus of the U.S. government and the conflicting intersections created by the unconstitutional surveillance state.
It appears from a review of the 6-page framework [See Proposal HERE], the subcommittee will fall under the jurisdiction of the House Judiciary Committee which will likely be chaired by Jim Jordan (R-OH). The framework of the committee as it is surfacing would be structured to have investigative authorities into U.S. intelligence operations, Homeland Security, FBI and DOJ-NSD activity. Thomas Massie will likely be a member of the committee and appeared with Tucker Carlson to discuss. {Direct Rumble Link} – WATCH:
Readers here are very familiar with how the intelligence and national security interests have risen to control almost every institution of government. CTH has deeply outlined how these intelligence departments and homeland security systems have enmeshed to control the executive, legislative and judicial branch of government.
What this committee appears to be motivated toward, and what Massie is outlining in that interview, is the process of going into each of the purposefully created information silos (CIA, DHS, ODNI, FBI, DOJ-NSD etc), reviewing their operational missions, extracting the evidence of their activity and then cross-referencing with unconstitutional outcomes.
The subcommittee has a noble goal; however, the success or lack thereof will ultimately come down to the personnel choices on and in the committee itself. Additionally, and this is a major hurdle, the subcommittee is going to run head-first into the Senate Intelligence Committee obstruction and disinformation system.
The operational mission of the current Senate Select Committee on Intelligence (SSCI), is entirely to stop any government action that might impede, investigate or attempt to remove the Fourth Branch of Government the Senate has created. The SSCI, the U.S. Intelligence Community and the Dept of Homeland Security will target this House Subcommittee, the members, the staffers and their families, with extreme prejudice.
WASHINGTON DC – A proposed subcommittee to investigate “weaponization” of the federal government — a key demand of House conservatives who delivered Speaker Kevin McCarthy the gavel — would be given sweeping investigatory powers that include explicit authority to review “ongoing criminal investigations.”
The language of the proposed “select subcommittee,” which would operate under the Judiciary Committee expected to be chaired by Rep. Jim Jordan (R-Ohio), also gives the panel power to access any information shared with the House Intelligence Committee. That panel typically receives the highest-level classified intelligence and briefings of any committee in Congress.
Both provisions appear to have been added during final negotiations between McCarthy and a band of hardline detractors that briefly denied him the speakership. An earlier version of the proposal made no mention of ongoing criminal investigations or the Intelligence Committee and limited the probe to the FBI, Department of Homeland Security and the Department of Justice. I’m not sure, heck, check that… I’m absolutely certain the House members putting this committee together have no clue the scale of opposition they are about to run into. The institutions of the United States intelligence apparatus, both foreign and domestic, will destroy anyone who attempts to confront them.
Hopefully the committee will consist of unmarried men or unmarried women, without families, and without attachment to any lifestyle they would wish to retain. The more progress any subcommittee would make, the more they would be at risk.
Last point, knowing the stakes involved, I have no trust whatsoever in the motives of Thomas Massie.
This is symptomatic of the larger problem and until its recognized nothing is ever going to change…
What is needed is *not* reform of an ultra-powerful and corrupt government or even subset of that government.
What is needed is to tear down the ultra-powerful government…whether it happens to be corrupt at the current time (it is) or even if it was wall-to-wall good-intentioned. The risks associated with an all-powerful government when it eventually goes bad — and it always does — are too great to tolerate its existence.
The only reason the US govt was ever “good” — more likely just not actively malignant — is that the continent was so large and sparsely populated that it could not implement tyranny.
Do not let any government have power over you unless you can reach its leaders in a single night’s moonlit ruck. Anything else is not accountable and will eventually end up implementing tyranny.
“What is needed is to tear down the ultra-powerful government…”
And ah, how do we do THAT?
Same way you eat an elephant- one bite at a time.
This is a longer clip and better.
Watched the whole show on youtube this morning..35 minutes..cant find it now.
I hope this bears fruit.
Sadly, we may never really know. When investigations are conducted in the SCIF, it is far too easy for politicians to misrepresent the findings for their own purposes.
It can work either way. They can make stuff up (like Schiff) or cover stuff up. (like many other committees)
It will be interesting to watch the members of the subcommittee. The true ones will be smeared and attacked by IC and their media.
One of the changes that needs to be made is that a candidate in office has to give up that office if s/he runs for another (usually more important) office.
Tim Kaine should not have been allowed to keep his Senate seat while running for VP in 2016. John MCain should not have been allowed to keep his Senate seat while running for pres is 2008…same with Senator Obama, Rep Paul Ryan (2012). Its called can’t lose. No matter what happens they keep their snouts in the gov trough.
If you want to run for higher (more lucrative) office, good on you. But you shouldn’t be allowed to collect a taxpayer paycheck while doing it.
My understanding is that DeSantis is working on that currently in Fla.-legislation to support his remaining Fla gov as he runs for POTUS. Interesting list you mentioned to which DeSantis would be added.
I believe Kamala Harris did NOT give up her seat in congress until she secured the VP nomination. The Elite make it up (their rules) as they see fit. That’s gotta stop now.
Yes, and this was problematic for the electorate when they (essentially) had to vote on Harris’ s vacated seat twice on one ballot – first for remainder of her term (the vacated seat) and second for the actual seat, since the seat was vacated so closely to the regular election of the seat. It was confusing to voters.
The most ridiculous conflict of interest is to have a current state Secretary of State (who is charged with running the election process) be allowed to carry out those functions while running for any office within the state of her jurisdiction. See Hobbs, Katie (vs. Kari Lake) for details. I’m sure it has happened previously and whenever and wherever it does, the conflict-of-interest stinks to high heaven.
Watch for any results of the Massie Committee. If there are any. Deeds not words.
Same here Tomcat. I’m of the “trust but verify actions on actionable items” opinion and a required televised regular public reporting by the chair to Jordan’s JC.
lol so many black pilleds now around here!
me included
Point it out again and again!
THE FIRST THING the new House should do Monday afternoon is DEMAND THE IMMEDIATE RELEASE of all the POLITICAL PRISONERS wasting away in DC dungeons. They should be freed with no-cash bail. If the Washington mayor objects, cut her allowance. If the FBI balks, chop its budget. If the DOJ objects, slash its funding.
The $1.7 trillion omnibus pork bill provides a larger budget for the Justice Department to prosecute January 6 prisoners. A House Appropriations Committee summary revealed Tuesday that the DOJ’s budget “to further support prosecutions related to the Jan. 6
attackprotest on the Capitol and domestic terrorism cases” will increase $212.1 million from current levels of the $2.63 billion annual budget.Impeach the 2 to 4 judges who have been violating their oath to uphold the Constitution and vf the laws, from equal justice under the law to the right to a speedy trial to the 8th Amendment.
Removal of Impeachmed judges comes from the senate, not a snowballs chance in hell that will ever happen.
Yes yes. Yes!!! To this

I strongly concur with you.
But having read Sundance’s deep analyses of the insidious Fourth Branch of government, I can’t unsee that Congress appears afraid to confront the scorched-earth Beria Garland ‘Justice’ Department.
Apparently, members of Congress rightly fear that the autonomous DOJ-FBI can take them down at will, as it has done for decades when members stepped too far out of line.
I would dearly love to be wrong. But my honest appraisal is that the probability of Congress intervening in Beria Garland’s ‘pogrom against the deplorables’ is nearly nil – for fear that they themselves will be targeted; their texts subpoenaed; their phone logs obtained by FBI national security letters, and so forth.
Since its creation in 1947, the Fourth Branch, under a veil of secrecy, has mounted a silent coup d’etat. As ‘Senator’ Schumer accurately observed, they have six ways from Sunday of getting at any opponent who dares to speak up.
Noble idea doubt they will reach a starting line never mind reaching a goal..
so large a dark cloud over this forum – we’re all gonna die!!!
Massie can not be bought and he IS the smartest guy in the room.
Verify verify verify – he has done as much as one man can up – now he has power – just hide and watch
“will target this House Subcommittee, the members, the staffers and their families, with extreme prejudice.”
Hopefully those selected to the committee know this. Even if they don’t, Congress will finally get a taste of what regular Americans have faced for some time.
Particularly President Trump and his family.
“Last point, knowing the stakes involved, I have no trust whatsoever in the motives of Thomas Massie.”
It would be good to see you expand on this at some point Sundance.
SD, might be worth your time to give this a listen.

I disagree with them on a couple of points (MTG), but independently see the game board and action very much the same.
YMMV, and I know there will be pushback on the idea that President Trump positioned certain economic actions for the current result, but it is what it is, the truth has no agenda. In a war, sometimes there are hard choices.
As was stated in the prior linked video SD recommended – they will not get any information the intel agencies don’t want them to have. Unless there’s a deep throat or some other way to get info out this is more bread and circus pablum….
The Deep State is entrenched… especially the IC… House Committees can eat cake… and, by extension, We The People!
… move along, nothing to see here…
Don’t talk about it just do it! Milley should have been court-martialed for disobeying President Trump!
Now that Kevin is Speaker they can get back to sending hundreds of billions of dollars to Ukraine and other sh!tholes around the globe, taxing us to death, and taking away our remaining freedoms!
I don’t think so, Joe. I believe Kev’s feet will be held to the fire by the real Patriots in the R Party. There may be less that 2 dozen of them, but they are True PATRIOTS.
Ooohhhh ,……
A house committee.
Please oh please don’t throw me in that briar patch Mr Committee Chairman, oh lawsey lawsey no!!!! Not a briar patch committee……
Nothing changes until they’re all gone.
Justice
Retribution
And dismantling back to the bare bones .
Our Constitution was written by STATESMEN not putrid politician maggot scum..
It is not realistic to believe that Massie and/or the House of Representatives will impact the Forth Branch. The reason is right in your face. They were selected by the efforts of the Forth Branch and Multinational companies/billionaires.
What should we expect from the members of the House if they were selected using a process that needed the FBI to keep it from being exposed?
The missing flash stick from Claire Woodall-Vogg during the 3:26 A.M. absentee ballot dump of 170,000 votes on Wednesday, November 4th, was a ruse that overcame President Trump’s insurmountable lead ending with a vote difference of just 20,682 votes (Milwaukee Election Flash Drive Was Briefly Lost, Sources Say. (wisconsinrightnow.com)).
2 police officers have come forward to reveal the truth about the missing flash stick.
FBI is aware of the missing flash stick ruse and have the details from the police officers.

Yesterday 3 PM FBI took control of shredding truck and materials, directed they be returned to shredding operation and the shredding job completed.
The FBI demanded that they had jurisdiction of the review of ballots in Georgia. Then yesterday the FBI took control of the shredding truck and materials and demanded the shredding operation be completed.

Two Maricopa County, Arizona people were sent to Runbeck as OBSERVERS but an odd thing occurred, they were never questioned by the Judge to my knowledge. So were those OBSERVERS at a government protected facility (FBI, FBI contractors)?
How effective will the Church Committee be if its members were put into office through the efforts of the Forth Branch? How effective will the members of the House be. If they accepted money from the FTX? This goes on and on, of course. But, you get the point.
It is Congress after all, so of course the NEW CHURCH COMMITTEE will be theatre. If the theater includes half of the facts and context relayed by SD here in the treehouse over the past 8 years, hearts and minds can be changed. That is enough.
My expectations are at an all time low.
If anything, the IC’s perfidious methods will open the committee’s eyes to their treachery. Perhaps there will be a few with the courage to fight back.
In a just nation, any actions against the members would be cause for an expanded investigation and criminal referrals for multiple felonies.
I’m not sure, heck, check that… I’m absolutely certain the House members putting this committee together have no clue the scale of opposition they are about to run into. The institutions of the United States intelligence apparatus, both foreign and domestic, will destroy anyone who attempts to confront them.

Those last three paragraphs tell the tale of what we will get from the new house subcommittee to investigate the 4th Branch. Or rather “Six ways from Sunday to destroy them.”
The House committees can only investigate. They cannot prosecute. They can only ask DOJ to prosecute. And the corrupt DOJ is never going to prosecute anyone. Well they might prosecute some of the House committee members for false made up crimes to remove them.
People are waxing poetic on the possibility of a modern subcommittee fashioned in the shadow of Senator Frank Church’s expose. Problem is, as Sundance has aptly noted, this Fourth Branch of govt is not about to allow much of anything they’ve disclosed not already conceded. Few people are aware of that parallel investigation taking place at the same time in the House of Reps lead by Rep Otis Pike also a Democrat. His committee really was digging at the substantive material and going down into rabbit holes that almost seemed unfathomable. It was Pres Ford at the direction of Kissinger/Cheney that assured any and all documentation Pike’s committee would request would find its way into the “Classified-Top Secret” bin. Most of the committee hearing were in the dungeon SCIF below the White House. Anything that was uncovered would be buried in the secrecy of the intelligence machinery. Pike’s committee was unceremoniously closed with no public report. Since then the classification tactic continues to that day. Even if such subcommittee would be convened, it would not amount to anything and the people becoming even more jaded about their govt. IMHO the Fourth Branch has successfully enmeshed itself in our govt, hunkered down and here to stay.
Okay, I no longer feel comfortable with the idea of, “that’s someone else’s responsibility”, or “someone will figure it out.” My new mantra, that I hope everyone reading this will adopt too…”if it is meant to be, it is up to me!”
With that being said, what can we as regular citizens do to try and make sure that this – and Sundance’s other article on how to make sure the subcommittee is successful – gets to Jim Jordan and other members of the freedom caucus? Because it will surely be ignored if shared with anyone else on these committees. Any suggestions on the best way to get the right eyes on this?
Las Vegas Massacre. Subpoena Sheriff/Governor Joe Lombardo and everyone else involved – including that dodgy FBI Specal Agent who ran the bogus “investigation”.
