The twelfth ballot round ended up with Kevin McCarthy receiving 214 votes of support, fourteen more than previous ballot rounds. McCarthy needs 218 votes to succeed (if all members are present).
The following group of 14 Republicans changed their vote to support Kevin McCarthy on the 12th ballot:
Rep. Dan Bishop (N.C.), Rep.-elect Josh Brecheen (Okla.), Rep. Michael Cloud (Texas), Rep. Andrew Clyde (Ga.), Rep. Byron Donalds (Fla.), Rep. Paul Gosar (Ariz.),Rep.-elect Anna Paulina Luna (FL), Rep. Mary Miller (Ill.), Rep. Ralph Norman (S.C.), Rep.-elect Andy Ogles (Tenn.), Rep. Scott Perry (R-Pa.), Rep. Chip Roy (R-Texas), Rep.-elect Keith Self (Texas), and Rep. Victoria Spartz (IN) all voted to support Kevin McCarthy.
The Holdouts are:
Rep. Andy Biggs (Ariz.), Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-Colo.), Rep.-elect Eli Crane (Ariz.), Rep. Matt Gaetz (Fla.), Rep. Bob Good (Va.), Rep. Andy Harris (Md.) and Rep. Matt Rosendale (Mont.)

No hope until the GOP is disbanded. Only then can a true opposition party have a chance to form. I know this isn’t likely, but anyone putting any hope in the GOP at this point has not accepted the reality of our situation.
IMHO, this is a direct challenge to the Uniparty, the Deep State and all of the entities they represent.
As such, the 20 don’t need to be worried about “Committe assignments” and perks; HOWEVER this goes, you can COUNT on it the full power OF the enemy will be brought to bear, ti “make an example out of them” as INTIMIDATION.
We’re taking the I/C putting ‘kiddie porn’ on their adult childrens computers and arresting them for it, etc.
We have SEEN what they have done to the J6 prisoners, FOR THE SAME REASON.
And, when retribution comes, it won’t make ANY distinction between “the magnificent 7” and the rest of the 20; they will ALL be targeted for unrelenting attacks, until they and their families are DESTROYED.
There is no BINDING agreement that can be made with McCarthy (Uniparty ‘faction’) that can be BINDING on McCarthy, once he gets the Speakership.
Even the “motion to vacate” only is ONE member, calling for a vote, and puts us right back where we are, all over again and unless enough members vote to oust him, all it would do is piss him/them off.
I got no problem with the 14, making it clear they are willing to negotiate, and in the process articulating the rules changes all 20 want, and WHY.
DO NOT understand the logic of them flipping and leaving the 7 hanging; it will NOT save them from whats coming.
The animals in DOJ/FBI DO NOT WANT real hearings on their activities of the last several years, the Defence Dept. and lobbyists DO NOT WANT a REAL fight on the debt cieling, the SWAMP wants McCarthy, and does not want the House to actually push back.
They will settle for Gowdy type “Investigate to Exhonerate” type hearings, which we have gotten so used to, that we EXPECT them.
I stand with the 7, THIS is THE Battle, to finally DRAIN THE SWAMP.
Been saying all along, CONGRESS, and specifically Republican leadership is the very HEART of the Swamp.
Remove McConnell and whatever stooge he puts in as Speaker, remove McDaniel and the RINOS in control of the Party, at State level as well, and you can drain the Swamp.
It sure is difficult to be optimistic.
Many had real hope early in the week.
IMO 14 years of McCarthy as many or more for McConnell and they show no signs of leaving.
I sure hope President Trump has something on McCarthy.
I wish I was a Democrat as they seem ALWAYS to stick together.
Cheers!

It really becomes a question as to how low the repugs can go with the sell outs, lets make a deal, opponents folding like ”’whatever. Now bolt on is announcing that he will be entering the primary for president. vomit inducing!
A Secret RINO Strategy To Clinch the Speaker’s Job For Kevin:
Wrap yourself in the Ukrainian flag and pledge another $100 Billion to Ukraine and you’ll have the job on a silver platter for sure, Kev!
Matt Rosendale’s speech about how Congress works – or rather does not work – should be sent to every single American home with the question: Is this how you expect your Congress to work and be handsomely paid while you struggle?
Term limits – IMHO
terms
should be no more than 6 terms in the House and 2 terms in the Senate
and no “legacy” seats
eg, Dingells, Murkowskis
I’d be fine with 2 terms in House and 1 in Senate with all staffers leaving at the same time.
Inexperienced representatives are easily bought and directed.
You don’t want every Senator to be inexperienced and easily led astray by lobbyists.
The more inexperienced representatives are the more easily lobbyists will run Congress.
12 years is a good start although I doubt they’d settle on that.
In terms of Term Limits, if Congress did introduce any such provision my guess it would be as much as 25 years.
As in “No Representative or Senator who has served 25 years can run for re-election”.
Sure – may not sound great – but I doubt you’ll get it any lower than that. Why would any Representative or Senator who’s served 15 years in Congress want to limit their future time in office?
Unless you exempted all current members as well – or started the clock ticking as the legislation was passed.
80 million people with no representation whatsoever in the government. We are back to the beginning.
Same ole lady in a new dress. My congress critter is still a holdout. For whatever good that will do in the end. Ultimately, we’re all dead men, women, congress critters and all.
