aka “The Magnificent Seven”

“The Magnificent Seven”
I like that.
Yes 😀👍.. I 🙏 they stick to their guns … 👏👏👍
🇺🇸💪😀👍
The tragedy in the movie is they didn’t all survive. Some sacrificed to death.
My prayers for this ‘magnificent Seven’
Is this round 13? Lucky 13?/s
Someone appropriately posted Psalm 94 this morning at CTH.
3 lived and 4 died.
Thanks. I couldn’t remember the numbers.
Anniversaries are important and this one is a symbol of betrayal.
Whatever promises were made that are likely to be quickly broken will not help those that flip or continue to sell out our country.
Hey! Those flip-flopping Republicans will perhaps feel the sting of betrayal just like Joe Manchin.
Manchin wasn’t betrayed, that was all play acting.
Kevin didn’t have to pressure the holdouts who flipped; their mega donors did.
SD told you was running the show here. He was right.
Nobody needs to tell me how the cow eats the cabbage. I am President of my local governing board, my folks were Republican Central Committee members and I literally grew up at GOP HQs in Bakersfield.
I’m old now and I’ve always understood the value of paying attention. It’s tough to surprise me.
To what lies did those 14 sell the American people down the river…
I expect that they will later regret that they changed their votes. It is expected that everything will be remembered.
Remembered, yeah. But most will still be re-elected. Voting’s fake.
He picks up 2/3s….wonder how that happened?
Personal graft?
Had to dig up a little dirt!
Seriously? In this post Citizens United political era, politicians don’t need to care about individual constituents.
For most of this country’s existence ambitious people have always gravitated to the private sector to achieve wealth and the grifters toward government work. Thanks to Citizens United and Public Employee unions, the script has flipped.
Agreed…..the country’s best days are far back in the rear view mirror….
Glad I voted for Rosendale!
I wish I was able to vote for him. Now I am in Zinke´s district who is presenting himself as just another get along, go along, play it safe career opportunist. Pissed me off to watch Zinke diss the people who demonstrated the backbone that he lacked in various tv interviews. Thank goodness for Rosendale and his courage. He represents me. Hope Zinke gets primaries or loses to the D in 2024……..at least we would then clearly identify our opposition.
I saw he received a snide comment from Tucker last night. Hope that makes a dent.
Daines is another get along, go along, play it safe guy. The only difference I see between him and Tester is that after they both voted to send another $50 billion to Ukraine, Daines sends me emails about his concerns over high deficit spending, inflation and protecting our southern border.
I HOPE you wrote him back and pointed that out!!!
Same here, and knew Zinke would be this way, which is why I went so hard for Doc Al in the primary.
Wrote a nice note to Rosendale thanking him for his stand since he’s still my Congressman until Zinke gets sworn in.
I called my Congress Critter. She voted for McCarthy every time. I was told by the clerk who answered the phone that he was the best choice for the Republican party. I asked her what about the best choice for constituents? We’re not even an after-thought for most of our ‘representatives’.
We’re not voting out way out of this mess. Plan accordingly.
“Hope for the best, plan for the worst” as my old KY Boss would say, creeps closer and closer every day
A “Jack Reacher” motto.
I love it!
The best choice for the constituents?
That would have be the MAGA PARTY!
The staffer said it as plain as day, as you shared with us…its all about ‘the party’.
“We the People” don’t matter….
Party Partisanship is way old now!
And vaccines are “safe” and effective”….
None is my bet, Jeremias.
Happy Jan. 6 Day!!!!
Today is Ashli Babbitt Day!
She and Ms. Boyland need to be remembered as the government assassinated martyrs that they are.
The DC Establishment Pigs have zero shame.
Unarmed Caucasian woman bludgeoned to death, murdered by a woman of color DC cop.
That’s how some remember 1/6/21.
According to the story I read (in TGP) she essentially asked to be arrested.
The crooked Press continue to hype a 4-hour mass protest into an end-of-the-world event.
Oh look, the GOP is folding….AGAIN!! Story of my life and the main reason that I do not have hope that anything will change for the better! Whatever you want to say about the Left – they do stick together and they do fight for their causes! The Republicans, for the most part, have no overarching beliefs or principles, and are thus incapable of standing for anything substantive!
Partially true, the GOP big club sticks close together in ignoring their constituents, taking rivers of dirty money from globalists and playing their roles in the uniparty to destroy America
Like a cheap suit.
Keep in mind that one big reason the Democrats stick together is there are serious repercussions if they break ranks.
Tulsi Gabbard was a rising star until she called out the DNC on their favoritism for Clinton in 2016.
Manchin was a rising star until he torpedoed Obama’s gun control bill in the Senate. It was designed to fail in the R-controlled House and give the Democrats a campaign issue. Manchin spent a good year in the dog house over that.
There are never repercussions when Republicans break ranks.
Gabbard is scripted bullshit.
She is the new ‘maverick ‘ McCain that ‘ puts country above party’.
Sadly, conservatives will lovingly fall for that.
Manchin… if you haven’t figured out that he is also playing a role as having been stymied, I don’t know what to tell you.
Jeez louise I forgot about….
Kristi noem…. wow, rock ribbed conservative is she with her overwhelming support for transvestites.
Please clap.
The Grand Old Poop
Yep. You expected otherwise? They were waiting for the back room deals and then made their preordained choice’. O surprise at all. McCarthy was the choice from the beginning. He never withdrew after so many votes against him. He knew he would get it and he did just what Dems do. Never leave no matter what because the fix is in. Only Hillary was a loser on that scenario. Never will happen again.
Most of the Republicans are really democrats and all of the democrats are democrats.
Sundance rightly said republicans want money. Stop sending them any, IF you are! Lol. Dems want power, you have to fight and stick together for power. Slick ads and smoozey wordsmithing get money.
Notice a**wipe McCarthy wearing a lavender colored tie. Ugh!
I despise that color now.
I can’t stand the color purple anymore either.
Rainbows are ruined too.
Is he still wearing his Ukraine flag pin?
Sent a thank-you note to Andy Harris, the lone bright spot in Maryland.
It’s over. I hope whatever deal he made with those hos who had a price, is tossed in the trash can after he is elected. Any egotistical AH that is bought and paid for and did not concede 12 votes ago, is a lying POS.
Why do you want to throw the deal in the trash?
Are you aware that politics is about the art of compromise?
If you don’t compromise, you can’t win. You can never win.
So the other 14 are now Enemies of the People?
Not in my mind
Yeah, pretty much.
He’ll get in. But then what?
The stale, scripted calls for unity and then business as usual?
Like the Tea Party and Trump, the swamp eventually prevails and methodically devours everyone in it’s path.
Return to the status quo. More money for Ukraine, and the rest of the elected officials, and the lobbyist’s will continue to buy whoever they choose.
They have sold their soles, I hope it is worth it.
Damned cowards…..
Proud of my conservative friends in the house who just won the best deal the right has ever gotten from Republican Leadership. We need to put petty personal disputes aside & do what’s best for the movement. This is a transformational deal that will change Congress for the better!
https://truthsocial.com/users/DonaldJTrumpJr/statuses/109643720070883502
I’ll have whatever he is smoking!
I’d prefer the knowledge of the deals and whatever is the motivating factors for trust.
What you said a gazillion times over! Amen.
Funny how we the people don’t get to know what those deals are. The only blind faith I have belongs to God Almighty.
Amen Amin!!
It’s in the ‘little brown bag’.
Gulp.
i hope there is much more protection in place than is known.
“trust” just doesn’t work.
Pray tell DTjr. What IS this deal?
Petty personal disputes?
Yeah, way to dismiss legitimate principles.
Sorry, but that deal can disappear as fast as it appeared yesterday. Lol, come on man. This is politics and dirty politics at that. No deal is safe once the perps are in place and have power. Watch and learn.
So the hold-outs standing on principle (a very rare commodity in DC) are being “petty”. Good to know that’s what it’s called.
Dang it my girl APL and Byron Donalds flipped, I thought they would hold out. I guess APL can’t even be sworn in util this is squared. Just out of curiosity how are things in McVamp’s District these days? What has he done for them lately?
Yeah why did my guy change his vote?
we will never know They aren’t accountable to us. They are accountable to the swamp. I see it clearly like I never have.
It was so the GOP can get to work. Good conservatives, and there are a few, realized that nobody could get to get the 218 after this in-family feud so they extracted as much power and protection as they could.
We will see some intense committee work using the Pelosi rules to take out the trash, especially in the DOJ and IRS. Humiliating McCarthy gave them the power they need to keep McCarthy in line.
I am reading that there isn’t even a deal in place! Only an “outline” of one. Just to, you know, get him over the finish line then it is all poof. Suckers every single one. I am ashamed.
It is going to be interesting to see what the GOPe Inc unleashes against the 21 and particularly the seven.
They are on thin ice with any repercussions. Not many would have to change to Constitution or Libertarian to flip the House to the Democrats.
Interesting game of political chicken.
Going to be business as usual.
The Magnificent Seven
AKA
The Seven Samurai?
Yes, two versions of the same movie. In each case, only two of the seven survive to the end.
It’s always “magnificent” before the battle.
Wrong! Steve McQueen, Yul Brenner and Horst Buckholz survive. Brad Dexter, Robert Vaughn, James Coburn and Charles Bronson bite the dust.
Same movie. Different town.
I served on DDG-7….that was our breakaway song for unreps
I often get asked to remove tree stumps from my customers gardens. The task is never too big.
If you want to know how to beat the “immovable object” bring in the “irresistible force”!
We need another stick.
When I was a kid, my dad came home at lunch and took me back to the farm after lunch, an unusual treat. He and his brothers, along with a bunch of help, were removing a stump. They had dug out under the stump to place dynamite to blow the stump. There was much discussion of one stick or two and they finally decided on one. They set it all up and pushed the plunger. There was a loud “whoooomp” and some dust, but the stump remained. My dad looked at his brothers and said “We need another stick.”
I am guessing that when this all over, Kevin will still be there and we will have wished we had another stick.
End of story. There was another discussion about whether enough damage had been done such that a single stick would finish the job. The “need another stick” side won and decided on two instead of one. The plunger was pushed and there was a gigantic “BOOM,” the stump was launched straight up to what looked like a mile high to a kid. Everyone seemed to get the same idea at the same time, “Where will it come down?” Gravity being gravity, we did not have time to think about it. The stump fell to earth almost in the hole out of which it was launched.
Hold the line
What bothers me most is that none of these people are accountable to their constituents. Will any of them put a statement out as to WHY they actually voted for this RINO? Mine caved (Luna) and I have tweeted and emailed. I demand to know WHY she caved. WHAT changed? WHY? crickets
No nominations from the 7….but two protest votes for Jordan from Biggs and Boebert.
McCarthy may make it this time.
He’s down 5 now!!
So why is the People’s House ordained to have a speaker from California-no matter what the party? Does this region represent the majority of the country’s values? Or is it just the seat of the technocracy?
CA is on the bleeding edge of totalitarian fascism.
His district is okie’s” oklahoma “arkie’s arkansas , texan’s that most families moved their during the dust-bowl years. then more Texan’s moved their due to oil related work. the movie Grapes of Wrath shows lot of the movement to California from those states. not discriminating by those state names, I have family members in this movement and settles in those area’s. and some still live their, all Maga, except those that moved to coastal liberal area’s .
Bakersfield Ca. Mesa Marin Raceway is the birthplace of the NASCAR Truck Series. my son and I used to race at the track when the 1st truck was introduced.
McCarthy is only the second Speaker from California in history.
Massachusetts was the first state to have 2 different Speakers – over 200 years ago in 1807.
those voting to McCarthy after voting NO 11 times are letting the media pressure of name calling and such affect them.
Its hard to stay courageous in troubling times when you are made to feel alone.
Help these 7 and the others to gain resolve in the next vote to say NO once again! Let them know we are with them.
I let my rep know he was to withdraw his support from Kmic. And be a staunch supporter of the rule changes back to as Constituted and not what Peloryansi came up with over the last few years.
We shall see if he gets the message. Not holding my breath though.
I love my user name on this website more and more everyday!
Crane voted Jordan.
We need to get used to kevin as speaker. Those holdouts are gaining nothing. What do they want? What Gaetz said started well, but he went overboard. I believe his behavior pushed others to kevin. Sometimes, the big mouth is not helpful.
What do they want? Let them say what they want. Without all the chatter. There is nothing pure in the world of politics. If there are written concessions to return to the rule of order, and a narrow path back, then let’s go.
I wonder what was opined in 1855 when they were, in reality at this point, only a tenth of the way to electing a Speaker?
see prev threads. I and others have posted repeatedly — there is a letter to McCarthy, dated I think Dec 10 that outlines the specifics. Or you could listen on Rumble to Chip Roy or Matt Rosendale’s speeches which also provde this info.
Gaetz is great.
The reality is and has always been that we will end up with a uniparty ass.
They done good thus far and hopefully have extracted some goodies for maga.
They humiliated the uniparty and dickface.
Showed everyone what the club is about.
Trish Turner
@caphilltrish
I asked .
@ByronDonalds
if he’s confident .
@GOPLeader
will be speaker – “Yes I am.”

To Remind “We the People” and “The United States Congress” of what was accomplished when “President Trump” was in office…
“I nominate President Trump because we must “Make Our Country Great Again” and “Make the House of Representatives Great Again” – Matt Gaetz
Kevvy, even when/if he “wins,” is a loser, poor negotiator, compromiser, and that will unipartily stick to his lavender tie.
Because the dems were not ordered to shore him up makes
me seriously consider that this is a humiliation ritual for him.
I’m sure my Congressman Chip Roy saw McCarthy put his hand on the Bible and swear that he would honor whatever promises he made. Problem was he didn’t see his other hand because it was behind his back with his fingers crossed
You can’t make deals with the devil.
“Hold my beer”, said the devil.
“Hold my ice cream cone” said Biden to the devil.
Based on the count he needs 217.
Total votes: 432 / 2 = 216 + 1 = 217
Well with two Republicans out, he can’t win with 4 voting against, unless a Dem crosses the isle.
Now 5
I’m reminded of the story about the woman who claimed to be insulted because of the amount of money offered for her services, so she asked indignantly, “What do you think I am?” The accurate response was “Madam, we already know what you are. We are just negotiating your price.”
Winston Churchill.
How much were the 14 votes paid that Kevin McCorrupt gained? It’s all corrupt in my view. I don’t vote again unless there is a new party. F it all!
Good voted Jordan.
Harris flipped to McCarthy.
If they piss off Dan Crenshaw then they are doing very good work.
WEFHen-shaw?
Yes, the one-eyed Cheney.
It appears that 13 will be lucky for McCarthy. No one rose to nominate anyone other than McCarthy and Jeffries.
McCarthy seems to have never considered giving up his dream. The GOPe will drag him across the finish line. And we will all suffer the insufferable. Deals have been made, promises will be broken, and our once great republic will continue to drift towards tyranny. I feel like the frog in the pot on the stove.
5 have already voted against. Mathematically he can’t win the 13th without Dems help
Losers. All of them. Every last one.
Not those who are still holding the line.
I despise our politicians…
Judges 7
Gideon Defeats the Midianites
7 Then Jerub-Baal (that is, Gideon) and all the people who were with him got up early and set up camp at Harod Spring. There was a camp of Midianites to the north of them in the valley near the hill of Moreh. 2 The Lord said to Gideon, “You have too many people with you for Me to give the Midianites into their hands, lest Israel glorify themselves over Me, saying, ‘Our own power saved us.’ 3 So now, call out so the people can hear, ‘Whoever is afraid or anxious may turn back and leave Mount Gilead.’ ” So twenty-two thousand from among the people turned back, and ten thousand were left.
4 But the Lord said to Gideon, “There are still too many people. Bring them down to the water, and I will test them for you there. When I say to you, ‘This one will go with you,’ he will go with you. Everyone about whom I will say, ‘This one will not go with you,’ will not go.”
5 So he brought the people down to the water, and the Lord said to Gideon, “You shall set apart by himself everyone who laps the water with his tongue like dogs; likewise, everyone who kneels down to drink.” 6 The number of those who lapped, putting their hands to their mouths, was three hundred. The rest of the people had knelt to drink water.
7 The Lord said to Gideon, “With three hundred men who lapped to drink, I will save you and give the Midianites into your hands. All the rest of the people should go home.” 8 So the three hundred men took provisions and ram’s horn trumpets in their hands. Gideon sent all the other Israelite men to their tents, but he kept the three hundred men.
Now the Midianite camp was below him in the valley. 9 That night the Lord said to him, “Get up and go down into the camp, for I have given it into your hands. 10 Yet if you are afraid to go down, then go down to the camp with Purah your servant. 11 Listen to what they say, and afterward you will be emboldened to go down to the camp.” So he and Purah his servant went down near the edge of the camp. 12 Now the Midianites, Amalekites, and the Kedemites covered the valley like locusts; and their camels could not be counted, for they were as numerous as grains of sand on the seashore.
13 Gideon came and overheard one man who was telling his dream to another. The man said, “Listen to a dream I had. I saw a dry cake of barley bread rolling into the Midianite camp. It rolled up to a tent and struck it. It fell, turned upside down, and collapsed.”
14 The other man responded, “This is none other than the sword of Gideon son of Joash the Israelite. God has given Midian and the whole camp into his hands.”
15 When Gideon heard the telling of the dream and its interpretation, he worshipped, returned to the camp of Israel, and said, “Get up, for the Lord has given the Midianite camp into your hands.” 16 He divided the three hundred men into three combat units. He gave all of them ram’s horn trumpets, empty jars, and torches within the jars.
17 He said to them, “Look at me and do likewise. Watch, and when I come to the perimeter of the camp, do as I do. 18 When I and all who are with me blow the horn, then you will blow the horns all around the camp and shout, ‘For the Lord and for Gideon!’ ”
19 So Gideon and a hundred men with him went to the edge of the camp at the start of the middle night watch, just as they were setting the watch. Then they blew the horns and smashed the jars in their hands. 20 The three combat units blew the horns and broke the jars. They held the torches in their left hands and the horns for blowing in their right hands. They called out, “A sword for the Lord and for Gideon!” 21 Every man stood in his place all around the camp, but the men in the camp ran, shouted, and fled.
22 When they blew the three hundred horns, the Lord turned every man’s sword against his fellow man throughout the camp. The Midianite camp fled to Beth Shittah in the direction of Zererah, up to the border of Abel Meholah, near Tabbath. 23 The men of Israel from Naphtali, Asher, and all of Manasseh were summoned, and they chased after the Midianites. 24 Now Gideon sent messengers throughout the hill country of Ephraim, saying, “Come down to engage Midian in battle. Take control of the water ways as far as Beth Barah and the Jordan.”
All the men of Ephraim were summoned, and they took control of the water ways as far as Beth Barah and the Jordan. 25 They captured Oreb and Zeeb, the two Midianite commanders. They killed Oreb at the rock of Oreb and killed Zeeb at the winepress of Zeeb. They chased after the Midianites and brought the heads of Oreb and Zeeb to Gideon on the other side of the Jordan.
Be it unto us according to Your Word, Father. Amen and Amen!

Stay strong, guys! You may be the last true patriots in the country!
Uni-Party is gonna Uni-party.
It’s all about the $.
It is not about the people.
Graft comes first.
The country is last.
I know it won’t work, but we need a third party.
We have two parties now-
1. The Demoncrat Communist Party. …and…
2. The Demoncrat Communist Sympathizers Part.
The Magnificent Seven was a great movie. The four who did not survive died with their boots on, not unlike those brave souls who lost their lives at the Alamo. They died bravely, but sadly they did not live to fight another battle:
The truth is it’s down to Kevie or Hakeem “The Dream”.
Will we have Regular Order?
No Earmarks?
Will McCarthy get retribution?
