Ken Buck and Cathy Rogers have missed their votes so far this time around. Michael Cloud’s vote was not recognized (probably not heard). Nanzi missed her chance to vote too.
Since Nanzi skipped out, it may mean that she is trying to lower the threshold for Jeffries.

The House was never meant to be a house of experience politicians.
It was meant to be a house of temporary public servants. Bring it back.
The Speaker role requires a great deal of understanding of all of the processes and rules in the House. Someone who has just completed their first term isn’t going to be skilled enough. Look at all of the powers the Speaker has, you do not want an inexperienced person taking the role.

Experience regarding the rules, parliamentary procedure, and how to navigate a bill through the house using these rules does require experience for a leadership position. Not decades of experience, but experience nonetheless. Even anthropologists are expected to conduct field studies with no less than two years experience. Leading a congressional body in one of the largest countries in the world should warrant a bit more.
