I used to love Jim Jordan, Ron DeSantis, Mark Meadows, Louie Gohmert, Devin Nunes, Doug Collins, and Matt Gaetz when they held hearings into the investigation into Russia’s interference campaign targeting the 2016 U.S. election. Back in 2017/2018 they all seemed like good guys.
They furiously interviewed people like James Clapper, Rod Rosenstein, Sally Yates, Lorreta Lynch, Andy McCabe, Peter Strzok and many others. They were the good guys, going after the bad guys that we knew were involved in FISA Gate and spying on President Trump. These ‘heroes” were going to hold these people accountable for us, We The People.
Nothing ever came from those hearings. Just more tickling of our ears. Many of them are part of the House Freedom Caucus and are funded by the House Freedom Fund. They are all compromised.

It’s amazing how they’re all so willing to put up a huge fight for power, but boy oh boy.

Ugly because we seldom see it but this should be commonplace. Same kind of thing is happening at many precinct level meetings, challenges to the old guard leadership with “give us concessions or we don’t support you”.

Trump has doubled down on his endorsement of McCarthy today. As much as I love him America can never be great if you make poor hiring choices.
He needs to sit down, and put his ego aside.
He might do everyone a favor and remain on the sidelines until this is sorted out. His earlier message about waiting to see how it plays out was the correct way to go, imo. Why he changed back to full open support of McCarthy, I don’t know. He must have his reasons. Maybe he should tell everyone what those are other than trying to give the Republican Party a boost.
